Great resort. Good food. Very clean. Loved our stay. The only reason I’m giving four stars is that three out of the seven nights we stayed here, our room had not been cleaned yet by 5pm and we had to request our room be cleaned. Also, an expensive bottle of face cream and concealer went “missing” after the third night. I knew to lock up valuables (money, jewelry, etc) but didn’t think I would have to lock everything up or sacrifice having the room cleaned during our stay.

My wife and I just returned from a fantastic week in PV and stayed on both sides of the resort. Let me first start with just a few of the positives, cause there were too many to list. Giovanni, our UVC member rep, was next level. He made sure everything, from the room, the spa, transportation and even just general well being, was taken care of. Be sure to seek him out because he will certainly impress you. Next, the food was delicious with the lone exception being the bacon at breakfast. But other than that, I can't tell you how many wow moments we had with bites of food. We highly suggest the French restaurant as well as the Mexican both were superb. The views from the resort rooms are great and the pools and beach are solid as well. We would have given the resort five stars if the hot tubs would have actually been hotter than the pools and smoking policies were more in a designated area and not up in your face everywhere. That being said, we are already looking at dates to return.

First time at an all-inclusive - probably won’t ever do it again. Can’t see why anyone would enjoy this. Food and drink - everything is so sweet. Room service was a contestant for the worst meal I’ve ever been given. 3 days here and each day there was a time where we struggled to find a restaurant open. Pool area is crowded, no chairs open, dance club beats playing all day. Spa was nice, but you pay extra for it. Staff was generally friendly. In general, this place just feels like a series of waiting rooms, followed by lackluster, manufactured experiences. My fault for thinking it would be otherwise. Just trying to understand why anyone would want to do this. Maybe cuz it’s a safe place to get belligerently drunk?.. If that’s not what you want for your vacation, rent a nice hotel room for significantly less money and go eat at any of the amazing, reasonably-priced restaurants in this city.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! My wife and I spent the week here for our honeymoon, it was truly an incredible experience, with some of the best food we have ever had! The staff was over the top and it was so clean! Luxury is an understatement! Highly recommend and we will be back!

This was my first time visiting PV. Secrets was complete perfection! Our family traveled together and we had a wonderful time. I wish I could award more stars to this review. I would recommend this place without hesitation. These people have your best vacation in my mind. My only regret is not asking about the tortilla chips. They make their own and they are delicious! I want to order some to be shipped to my USA address!

First time at a Secrets resort. Stayed in the "Preferred" area, had a great time overall. Restaurants/Food was great, drinks were good too. If you want a lounge chair around the pools/beach get there early! Only major con that I will bring up about this place (reason for only the 4 stars), is the constant asking about us doing a "breakfast meeting"/"do we plan to become members". In the end we sat down with someone, but it was on the last day, after we experienced the resort. All in all had a great time and would come back.

We had a mostly positive experience at this hotel for our honeymoon but ran into a couple of turn offs. Firstly the positives- the room was nice, the grounds were pretty and well kept, the staff is friendly and helpful. We stayed in the preferred club and wanted to give a shout-out to Brian, our personal butler who was friendly and assisted us with all our needs. Aside from this- the food was okay. Some was very good, some was cheap tasting. The drinks were weak and occasionally we were given the wrong drink at the poolside bars. The hiccups- we received confirmation via email that we would get the “honeymoon” package but it seemed nobody knew anything about this so it was a bit of a struggle to get all the things in the package, although again Brian was extremely helpful and made sure we were taken care of. I’m the first few days the phone rang multiple times in our room. We answered once and a person who said they were the concierge asked if we found our stay satisfactory. This is when we initially inquired about the things in our package we were supposed to get and we’re told to come talk to the woman downstairs. She tried to rope us into a sales presentation, offering discounts to local attractions in exchange for attending the presentation. We had already been offered this and hassled by a man at the airport as well (not the fault of the resort) but we had no interest in attending a high pressure multiple hour sales meeting on our honeymoon. In the end we felt discouraged from doing any of the local tours because we didn’t want to deal with the sales people which is unfortunate. We had a reasonably decent experience overall but would not likely come here again. I think it’s really unfortunate that secrets has sales people calling into guests rooms to rope them into a sales pitch- especially after we already paid so much to stay there.

Adult is by far better than the family side (chaos and louder)… pending the side you have (East/west), the roosters were up before sun up. And the random dog alarm at random hour… other than the sleeping being rough, the staff is super polite and on top of things. The pools are nice and right at the beach. Restaurants (esp the French is best) are good. The Japanese one is the worst… loud and terrible quality… definitely plan to dine out one night in the city for 6$ round trip cab…. The weather is humid outside the resort but inside it’s perfect.

It's all about Eddie! This is a highly recommended resort! My group and I had an amazing trip here! The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming at all times! The food was amazing! We loved the variety of options on the menus and variety of restaurants. We stayed in the preferred suite, which I highly recommend! The patio jacuzzi was used every day. The patio also offers an amazing view of the ocean day and night, as well as the sweet sounds of waves crashing on the beach! We were within walking distance of downtown, which offers lots of shopping and some great bars and dancing if you want the party to keep going after the provided entertainment! Would definitely visit again!!! Thanks again for taking care of us, Eddie!

Great place to stay if you just wanna relax and not think about anything everything is included and there are no children allowed on this side of the resort but you are allowed to go to the family friendly Dreams side of the resort. One down fall is they will attempt to up sale your their “timeshare” like package and premium alcohol bottles, but if you’re a drinker and/or a traveler this might be perfect.

This is an overall very nice hotel. Being "Adults only" doesn't mean there are activities for adults, it means most of the population is in their 40s. And there are no kids at all; which translates into a very quiet place. The food is great, all the employees are great, nice and courteous. I have been to a lot of all-inclusive hotels in Puerto Vallarta and this one is the one closer to being really all-inclusive. The hotel is also conveniently located very near the Malecon (within walking distance) where you can find all kinds of souvenirs and a little bit of Mexican life (just a little bit, because most people there are tourists). Vallarta hotel's zone is famous for its ugly beaches, so this is also true for this hotel. Finally, if you are into ping pong, one of the "entertainment" guys (Julio Cesar) is a decent player, but then, there is Elizabeth, who is a very good player, she is not part of the entertainment crew but she shows up and plays some matches (thanks to both guys, I enjoyed playing with you). From your room, you get the ocean view you see in my pictures and on the other side of the room, outside, you get to see the town as shown also in my pictures

Last minute get away. Just finished a 3 night stay at the Secrets Vallarta Bay. It was a very relaxing mini vacation. Friendly staff and nice food options. Best part of the trip was our last dinner at the French restaurant Bordeaux. Large menu and loved all the appetizers we had along with braised short ribs and the tenderloin, which is a must try, if you plan to stay here. Most of all, it was the exceptional service provided by our server Ernesto. Okay, now the downside. I keep getting bit by something throughout my trip. The bed was uncomfortable, as I did not wake up refreshed. The beach was very rocky, and the waves were very hard. Would I come back? Yes, definitely!

The location and views of this property are really nice, but I would definitely not stay here again. Our trip was cut short due to a flight cancellation and they refused to refund me for the night that I did not stay there. I was definitely disappointed and will not be returning there when we go back later this year. The food options at the resort are very basic. Same menu at Castaways and at Oceana. We paid for the preferred suite and there were NO differences from the preferred suite and the regular areas of the hotel so do NOT waste your money on an upgrade. The pool and beach waiters were awesome, but the amount of beach vendors that constantly stop by to sell you something after you say No Thanks once, is too much. Overall, we thought it was a decent place... but the fact that they didn't even offer a credit in lieu of a refund was just despicable.

I was in PV for several weeks and purchased a day pass one Sunday. It was pricy in Canadian dollars but overall worth it. I received the sane level of service as a regular resort guest. There were lots of loungers available when I arrived at 9:00 am (they have a sign that says the staff remove possessions left for more than 30 mins, which helps but also they just have a ton of them). They also have built in plugs around the trees in the pool area so you can charge your phone. I would likely go back again if I wanted a lazy day.

We just spent 8 days at Secrets and overall, we had an excellent experience. The service and staff are very friendly and we felt well looked after. Fidel, who did many of the activities, was exceptional and wow - so much energy! We rented a Bali bed one day and received royal treatment as well. Improvements could be made with the rooms - ours smelled very musty and wasn’t made up until late in the day some days. The in-room mini bar was only beer, soda and water and wasn’t always replenished. Entertainment was great on some nights but very disappointing other nights. Loved that it was adult only but we could also access the Dreams side for restaurants.

It was our pleasure to stay here for 7 nights. Our only disappointment was when we had to vacate our room one morning. The fumes from the fumigation had filled our room and made us nauseous. When I brought this up to the gentleman at the desk he didn’t care and told us that the pesticides weren’t harmful. The lady who tended to our room was excellent. Our room was kept to a high standard of cleanliness. She always had a positive attitude and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you Jose for all your hard work and dedication to helping us with all our needs during our stay. You and your team are top notch. I would recommend to anyone looking to stay here, make your reservation at the preferred side. We felt the extra amenities were worth it.

As a chef myself I really wanted to try the chefs table with my husband at Secrets Puerto Vallarta Bay. Wow! What an amazing experience it was. Chef Jose (executive chef) and Chef Karen created a fabulous menu for us. The flavors were indicative of the Mexican culture. Each dish was an art form. The chefs balanced all the flavors in the dishes extremely well. This was a six course meal with the wines carefully selected for each dish. The experience with the chefs and the servers was over the top! I recommend any person that is a foodie or loves to try different cuisines to experience this. We will always dine at the chefs table each time we stay at Secrets. The staff Edwardo, June, Juan, Fidel, Maria, Luis, Antonio, Caesar, and Carlos all had a very positive impact on our trip! They all went over the top with their service so we had the best experience! Also, go see Banja the crocodile right off the beach!

Nice place, decent food with several options. Staff was great, rooms nice and clean. Hotel location is close to boardwalk, but not a lot to do immediately in the vicinity. Learned about beach “glass” which was fun to collect each morning. Went to the Rhythm of the Night excursion - TOTALLY worth it. Highly recommend. Go, relax, enjoy.

Dreams Vallarta Bay did not disappoint! From the time we arrived on property we were well taken care of and that didn't change all week. No matter which restaurant or bar you're at, the service is 5 star! The room was beautiful and the view was stunning. This was my first visit to a Dreams resort but will not be my last! 🌴☀️💖

It looks nice in the photos, but the hotel is dated and in need of maintenance. My room was never cleaned well, nor was it before I got there(dirty floors, dirt and food under furniture) most of the the employees were very nice and friendly. I've been to other Secrets that took way better care of the property. I won't return to this one.

The resort is beautiful. However the lack of entertainment for an adults only property was highly upsetting. One night they had a poker night and it must have lasted like 30 minutes and then it was over. No music around the property. This seems like a resort for older people that like to sit and people/ocean watch. The food was okay and cocktails were good. I have been to many Secrets and this was my least favorite resort. Humberto at the buffet restaurant was wonderful. I would not stay here again.

If you want to eat in the high end restaurants and have a big party, they want you to make reservations with an obligation to buy a bottle of wine per table. Also, the tables cannot but pushed together, so everyone has to sit on opposite sides of the room. The portions are very small, so it's good that room service is all night and the Cafes are open 24/7. Oceana has great food, but please be prepared to be attacked by mosquitoes or covered in off spray. The rooms are huge and decent. Pools are great and the service was awesome. Seriously the only let down were the "nice" restaurants. Cafe Market tasted better anyway and offers international dishes made fresh breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Whenever I tell people that I’m not the thief that likes all inclusive resorts they somehow convince me to try a particular one claiming it to be the best. This is another of those instances. The service is fantastic. The rooms are nice but our AC stopped working sorta on the last day. The first 3 days the room was a nice temp and you could feel the AC. The last day it wouldn’t get below 75-76 in the room (no the sliding door wasn’t open it just wasn’t working) The food? I mean, it’s unlimited but I can make better nachos with a microwave and 3 ingredients than the nacho bar by the pool. The buffet is very ok. The room service is not very good. The tablets to order room service don’t work so you have to call. They sushi place is probably the best place there but compares to Kroger fresh made sushi. The French place is ok and the Mexican place is very bland. There’s not anything to do after 10 when the entities compound shuts down. Pool closes at 8… hot tub too… yea that’s before sunset so don’t plan on enjoying the sunset in the pool. The beach is super rocky and kinda hard to walk around on. Security is great and safety is great. We walked to Pepe’s tacos then around downtown and had to check out and in at the gate (go to Pepe’s for pastor tacos. It’s 5/5) The service is absolutely wonderful. The staff is excellent and very friendly. I think if you are a fan of cruises and all inclusives you’ll probably love this. If not probably not. For 500 a night I’d rather stay somewhere else for about 2-250 and somehow try to spend 250 a day on food. You could probably stay somewhere less expensive that’s just as nice and eat every meal at Sonora prime for the same cost.

A great vacation at an excellent resort. Almost a 5. A few shout outs: Carlos: an amazing staff member. He was always available and answered every question. Provided an itinerary for town that was perfect. Oscar: the best waiter we had by far. We never had an empty glass The good: Staff in general are amazing. A very service oriented hotel Rooms are fantastic with everything you need including great room service The hotel is beautiful with fantastic views of the bay everywhere you are. We saw a pod of whales!!! The town is great for any shopping if you are so inclined. Only drawbacks: and this is small!!! If you are a foodie - you might want more flavour in your meals… BUT this is a preference of mine. That said the French restaurant had a lamb shank I had to have twice!! The beach is not so walkable. And swimming needs to be careful as there are boats and jet skis everywhere. You will love your time as we did at Vallarta bay secrets!!

Been there 3 times. I’m planing to go again. But the issue is every time I go the hotel is less and less luxury anymore. The rooms…old furniture are peeling off the paint… tv; you see better on your thrift store. The ocean restauran they are restricting our plates. So now they decide what to eat… pool service is a mafia you need to throw some or lots of dollars to have a service. Very annoying. Installations are in general getting old. Room cleaning could be better. Here is the thing if a group of people working here are making his own business with tips. This is really affecting the experience. And I’m happy to tip as soon I get the service. But in advance.? Seems very lame. And then you should remove the add “tips included” are you kidding me.? The food is amazing and other services are great. My opinion change that mafia staff and you get a place to people remember as a super experience. Greetings from Canada

Secrets is 15 min from the airport and downtown. It's a beautiful resort. Every room has at least a partial view of the ocean. The food at all the restaurants is phenomenal. The buffet, Bordeaux ( The French Restaurant), The Italian R, The Japanese R and the Oceana R. The staff are incredibly Cesar and Maria in the Market Cafe give V.I.P service. Also in the M.C Edger, Adrian are amazing. Poolside Carlos the happy waiter, Junior and the rest of the staff are amazing. Thank you all for a memorable Vacation.

Absolutely beautiful! The staff are amazing, the scenery is fantastic and the food is excellent. Cesar and Maria took amazing care of us at the Market Cafe, so friendly and helpful! Junior was a rock star at the pool - nothing was too much trouble, and kept the drinks flowing. Definitely recommend!

We stayed at Secrets Vallarta Bay from October 1-8 with a large (50 group) party for a wedding. We had an amazing time and everyone was great. There are a few that stand out that were so nice and helpful through out the week. Cesar and Adrian on the Secrets Market Cafe were so attentive and nice. Diego at the Secrets pool made sure we never had a drink that was empty. Even surprised us with food a few times when he knew we could use some. Overall wonderful trip!

Visited the resort for part of my stay in PV, and really enjoyed it. The resort is beautiful, I particularly liked the pool area and lobby lounge (view was amazing from here). The service at the resort is top notch, makes me want to only stay at secrets or dreams resorts now. We had trouble finding a good place for the pool area, and the staff was kind enough to bring chairs over to the spot we wanted and extra umbrellas when we requested it. The drinks were delicious and strong, the food was good but not as good as food off the resort, room for improvement there. Overall I would definitely be happy to return to this resort again if I’m ever in PV. Excited to try out other secrets/dreams locations in the future.

I have only stayed here once, but it left a great impression. The location was great, but the touches like the outdoor ping pong table or giant chess board were pretty nice. The rooms lived up to the star rating online and the food was GREAT! The first night we were here, we were entertained by a show of fire performers, which was way worth it. You can't go wrong with an all inclusive resort, but there were enough activities at night to keep the stay a fun experience even after most of the city dies down.

  • 5/5 Sarah L. 2 years ago on Google
Most rooms (I think) looked out to the ocean while the entry side of the rooms looked at beautiful mountains and city scape, the best of both worlds! The food was great everywhere we went, especially Oceana. The COVID protocol was very thoughtful and everyone, workers and guests, wore masks properly in all common spaces. The ocean beach was a bit rocky but once you got a few feet out, it was great! No weeds and fun swimming! Somewhat small, so you never have to walk too far. Good coffee shop near the lobby. Everyone was very nice and accommodating! Also I loved being in the middle of a city and very near the airport. You could walk out the resort gates and find somewhere to go, it seemed very walkable.

I stayed here for an entire week, and the overall resort experience was alright. I thought the staff were very nice and accommodating, but this just did not strike me as a five star resort. The mixed drinks all tasted a bit off, and except for a couple exceptions the food was not impressive at all. On our floor there was a fault fire alarm that went off once every single night except for one. I probably would not return.

We had an unbelievable stay at secrets! The pool was great and amenities were top notch. The food was above any other Mexican resort I’ve stayed at. Also a special thank you to Edgar who served us my the pool all week. His laughter and exceptional service kept our spirits high even after a few too many margaritas. It’s people like Edgar that will have us coming back to secrets every year!

We had a fantastic getaway from the Canadian winter following a 2 year lock down. So many good things to say about the food and staff at this location. The room facilities needed some work, hence the lower review but what the facilities lacked the food and friendly staff made up for. Google needs half star ratings. I'd give it a 4.5. The beach was nice but if you are looking for the ocean experience the east coast is better. Although the city of Puerto Vallarta is beautifully situated amongst the mountains. So much culture in this city if you are willing to explore.

  • 5/5 Lynda M. 2 years ago on Google
Beautiful place. Everything you could need or want. Excellent service all you have to do is ask. The beach is really rocky not like Hawaiian sand but as you can see by my pictures, it doesn't stop you from enjoying anything. Just not a good place to run on the beach. It feels super safe too.

This resort is beautiful. I’ve stayed at a few in Mexico as well as Central America and the Caribbean, and this had to be the cleanest and best kept. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the drinks are great and the food is spectacular. We loved the French restaurant and Italian as well! Secrets side was kids free !! The sunsets were unmatched. I would highly recommend Daniel ( server) as he helped us with all our food and drinks daily :) 10/10, will be back some day !!

We just returned from Secrets Vallarta Bay and we had an amazing trip. We went with our best friends and we all loved it. The grounds and rooms were beautiful. The food and service top notch. From Check in to Check out, the staff is on top of everything and very attentive. Our servers at the pool, Junior and Manuel made our trip so much fun. Our drinks were always full and they couldn't do enough for us. Giovanni Lopez greeted us upon arrival and checked in with us daily to make sure we had everything we needed. We can't wait to go back!

This is a really nice all inclusive hotel. Common areas are gorgeous. Rooms were very roomy and nice views . We got a great deal through Southwest airlines so we can't complain much. We chose it because it was adult only( no kids). However we discovered that half the hotel (called Dreams ) was for families. So although the pool areas are separated, most of the restaurants will have kids there. The service is good , all staff is extremely accommodating . I would have liked to have a better orientation to understand all the offering once we arrived. Instead we were given the typically upsell intro to get us to move to more expensive rooms and standard "time share" stuff. Once we figured out all they had to offer with our standard stay.we were good with the amenities and offering. Rhythm of the Night excursion is a must!!

We went to Secrets Vallarta Bay to celebrate our 15 year anniversary and our experience with everything was nothing short of amazing! The resort and accommodations were beautiful but what really made our experience was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff across all departments. Each morning, Cesar and Maria in the Market restaurant had an incredible energy and anticipated our every need. They get five stars! We were there for the weekly Fiesta and were so impressed! Gorgeous decorations, an impressive buffet, and of course exceptional entertainment. We looked forward to seeing our various favorite bartenders and servers each day, especially Juan pool side, that made us feel special and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We tried the food at many of the restaurants and loved all of it. It would be difficult to pick a favorite restaurant….probably a tie between Capers(Italian) and Tamarindo (Mexican). The fresh guacamole prepared table side was the best we’ve ever had. We had such a great experience that we are already planning our next visit to Secrets Vallarta Bay. The room was very well appointed, exceptionally clean and comfortable. Housekeeping and room service were both personally attentive and very friendly. The level of detail is nothing short of amazing.

So overall I like this place. The location is great and the property is nice with great access to beach front. The restaurants are nice and the food is pretty good for an all inclusive. My one complaint is the musty smell of the rooms. The AC automatically shuts off when you are not in the room so the rooms take a while to cool off when you come into the room and that contributes to the musty odor. We had to ask for a dehumidifier to help the smell but it didn't take it completely away. The rooms are nice but they could use a little updating. But if you can get past that then this is a really nice place to stay. I'd definitely come back.

The reason why we love this resort is because we feel so welcome here. The staff is so friendly and very helpful. We had Oscar take care of our luggage he took care of it as if it were his own! We always sat in Emilio’s section at the pool. He most definitely took care of all our poolside needs. Emilio is extremely knowledgeable in all the drinks! Our pool concierge was Aldo and if we needed anything at all, he was the one that made it happen for us. The pool entertainment crew do an awesome job and Fidel made activities fun! When we entered the Market Cafe we always loved to see Anahi. She is by far the best hostess because of her friendliness and personality! There are four waiters in the Market Cafe that we definitely asked for every time and they were Sergio, Humberto, Antonio and Cesar! They all bent over backwards to make sure we had anything and everything we needed! Amazing staff means a lot to us along with the beautiful resort and awesome restaurants!

Amazing resort. We came for our honeymoon in 2014 and are back again with the same experience. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. A couple tips. Make sure to keep your room patio doors closed or your room AC will NOT turn on (which makes sense). Also please tip people, they're worth it and they'll remember you. Preferred club is very much worth it with your own bar and lounge area. We will come back many times over, without a doubt.

Great location. Close to town to get some local flavor. Beautiful views. Just acquired by Hyatt and you can tell it's on its way up to their very high standards. Food was pretty good. The in-house Asian restaurant was lackluster. Bring pants if you want to go to the fancy French one. Loved the balcony hot tubs. Enjoyed the adult's only side but that you could venture to the other if you wished too. Swim up bar was cool. Beach is rocky so bring hard sole beach shoes. Service was excellent. Recommend they offer a cooking class and more dance lessons. Only critiques: 1) sheets are rather rough, 2) the in house amenities seem to struggle using the leisure cash provided to guests, and 3) the workers are frankly aggressive (running after you and not letting you leave the hotel), when you leave to explore, about whether you agreed to take a promotional briefing from another local vacation resort. It's extremely off putting to people who want to relax on their vacation rather than justify their coming and going. They'll want to know what someone promised you rather than being at the airport and/or offering a straight up deal themselves. Their own briefings would also be better served if they could show you the online interface you'd use to make use of the benefits.

I'm not happy about writing this review without even being at the hotel. We made the reservation back in February, and they charged the card on file for partial payment/deposit. Apparently the card declined for some reason when they ran it today (August 24) and without even contacting us and trying to fix the issue like maybe adding another card to our file, they canceled it and give the room away! A week before our arrival! My husband called them immediately. The first guy was ridiculous and said we could come a different time. Unacceptable! We already have flights booked and made other reservations for during our stay. I hung up on him and called again. The lady who picked up the phone was way more helpful and luckily there was availability at the Dream next door. I worked in the hospitality industry for years and this is the first time I experienced a situation like that. Who cancels a reservation like this?! They already took the deposit, and since when they charge you the whole amount before arrival? If the card declined (which I'm going to investigate why it did) they should have contacted me and fix the issue or wait for our arrival like most of hotels do! I don’t think this is right, they can’t do stuff like this A WEEK BEFORE ARRIVAL when everything was planned and booked for months ahead of time! I'm so angry and frustrated!

Overall a good resort. It is very clean and the service is positive. Though some say that the food is excellent, I would say it is good, but not great. If you are looking for true restaurant experiences in an all inclusive resort, you will not be pleased. Better than a buffet, but not superb. Evening activities are good... And the ambiance is excellent. Worked out in the gym each morning - which was adequate for a holiday workout (read: not a comprehensive gym). Would I come back? Probably not...but I am not frustrated I chose to come here. My personal thought - if you have a choice to come here or Cabo...choose Cabo.

Beautiful resort. Service was amazing. Food was great for an all inclusive resort. I would definitely stay away from their "fancy" Italian and French restaurants... which were inedible. But the rest of the food was fantastic. Service was the best we've had anywhere. Beach was a little rocky, especially when entering, so bring water shoes. There is a current when entering the water. We got in fine but did fall over at least once. Minimum upsells which was great. Wish all these hotels would great rid of the "concierge " timeshare/upsell person right when you arrive, but everything else was fantastic!

Specifically for me what made our trip to secrets so great was the amazing staff, across the board every employee I met was so kind and friendly. As far as the drinks all the bartenders where extremely skilled, I don’t think there’s a drink they can’t make. The best of the best I met were Omar and leanardo from the preferred club lobby bar. As far as servers Jonathan Velazquez from the pool area and Wendy from the breakfast buffet were amazing at making sure all your food and drink needs were taken care of. Along with food and drink there is also a great activities staff, Fidel, Freddy, Daniel, Jaime, jenifer, and Fernando did an amazing job at keeping the energy high and making sure everyone was having a good time. For any ping pong pros make sure to try your luck against Daniel he’s quite the player. Overall a great stay I would recommend to any couple looking for a relaxed resort style vacation, or any family, lots of activities to keep the kiddos entertained.

Felicia our cleaning lady was amazing. Best we've had at any Secrets. I love her. I would love for her to come work for me. We were in room 2301 and she was awesome. Fernando was great. Oceana seaside grill was great for breakfast. The French onion soup was worth going back to Bordeauxs. Staff was great. Pool was clean and staffed. We will be going back for day passes when they are not busy. Loved it.
