The stay would’ve been five stars in a different Suite with different conditions sadly. There was construction occurring every day early in the morning until late in the evening that included buzz saws, loud music, and shouting. Not exactly ideal for relaxation by the pool. Additionally, Suite C in particular is directly next to the Mantamar rooftop bar which boasts house and electronic music from 11am until 8pm every day. By the end of the trip my head was pounding. Again, not ideal for relaxation. Suites D, E, and F are presumably above the speaker height but they have one angled directly at our wall which was pretty awful. Not sure if it was because of the construction but we also had limited hot water during our stay which made for quick showers only for necessity. The only thing that saved our stay was our chef, Edwin, made us some of the best meals we’ve ever tasted. He worked with us daily to curate a menu based on our dietary needs. Our meals included fresh local fruit, fresh fish and all sorts of creative takes on local cuisine. I would likely come back but would want them to alert us about the construction and would hope better relations can be built with the neighboring property.

What can I say...beyond expectations and just beautiful! Sky suite F and chef Edwin was beyond phenomenal!! Chef Edwin specifically is so humble, kind, and cooked everything to perfection. Literally no bad meal. Vallarta Shores overall is an amazing place, all the staff is beyond exceptional. My family is definitely coming back!! Definitely requesting Edwin!! Tip: there is a club close to Vallarta Shores that blares music all day...literally all day! Personally Vallarta Shores is worth the nightly bump bumping.

I wish there was a way for me to rate this property higher than five stars. My group had the penthouse over New Years and the fast response and level of service was amazing. The place we rented was absolutely incredible and I will never consider renting anywhere else. Our chef LuLa was absolutely incredible. I have rented a lot of places with a chef before and she was by far the best I have ever had. She has such a great energy and vibe, she really made the trip amazing for us.

Stayed here for a week with my wife on our honeymoon. We wanted to avoid all inclusive so gave this place a go. Fantastic value, location and comfort!

This was our 2nd time staying at Vallarta Shores and it was just as memorable as the first time. The staff are amazing and the rooms are very comfortable. You can't beat the views and to be able to walk right on to the beach or pool is awesome. Housekeeping is top notch and the air-conditioning is greatly appreciated.

The place is older but still very nice. It's wonderful hearing the waves all day and when falling asleep. I wish I could have that sound all of the time, a white noise machine doesn't work. If you a looking for a brand new modern place, this isn't it. Only negative is the TV in the living room wouldn't work for any channels where people speak English. The TV's in the bedrooms worked, just not ideal since we wanted to watch TV in the living room. Called the front desk and they sent someone up to try and figure it out. Couldn't figure out why it didn't work, so no working TV.

Really enjoyed our 9-night stay. We were in Suite-1. The suite has ample space as there is a living room with kitchen and a separate bedroom with king size bed... and large bathroom. The bed is very comfortable... just the right pillows and superb sheets (wish I knew which brand). The 'entire' staff is friendly/helpful... especially our dedicated room service (Imelda kept our room remarkably clean and was super friendly). Keep in mind this is a 1st/bottom floor. The area is entirely safe and there are staff around 24-hours/day... so safely/valuables are not an issue... you just have to be realistic of noise from folks coming/going around 8am to 9pm... otherwise it was nice and quiet and could hear the waves rumble all night. We'll be back.

This is the vacation destination I've been searching for my whole life. Our rooms were ready when we arrived and exceeded our expectations. So classy and efficient for a proper vacation. The housekeeping staff was exceptional and had our linens and towels smelling like fresh flowers. The location couldn't be better and we will definitely be back. Thank you Vallarta Shores. 😊

Amazing, secure, and top tier resort on the beach. Private Chef, master suite with pool, and fully stocked kitchen and bar. We enjoyed an 8 day getaway where we were steps from the ocean or a walk away from shopping and beautiful sights! Definitely a bucket list entry that we will gladly do again!

We stayed for a week, and it was a mixed bag. The positives: our housekeeper and chef were terrific, and the location was tough to beat. You will never get sick of the view. The not so positives: front desk staff wasn't very helpful, the hot water was only lukewarm most of our stay (we were told "that's how it is" but it miraculously became hot on our last day), and we had to deal with a sewage smell coming from the pipes in the bathrooms daily. I really wanted to give a higher rating, but the hotel's lack of urgency to resolve issues overrode an otherwise good stay.

Stayed here for a whole week. Amazing rooms. Fully furnished apartments with full kitchen. The only problem was the faucets in the bathroom for the shower and sink leaked but they were responsive and fixed it once we told them. Right on the beach with a great private pool and hot tub and deck. Not the quietest place to stay, especially if you're staying on the ground floor rooms but great AC and hot water and clean towels everyday. Excellent room service. It is kind of at the far end of town. We love this place and might stay there again or we might stay somewhere more centrally located so we're more likely to go out more because it was a little bit of a trek along the beach to get to downtown in the romantic district. Had fast Wi-Fi and a safe big enough for a laptop.

If you're looking for a place that will be accomodating with the volatile nature of airline/flight cancellations and changes, this place won't be it. I had a trip that was shorted by a day by the airline cancelling and changing my flight by a day. A 5night stay turned into a 4night stay. When I explained the situation to the manager and asked if they could accommodate change my 5nights to 5, I was told of a "5 night minimum policy" -- though when I looked up the hotel policies online and asked the manager to point out where that was written, he said it was not written anywhere online in the booking page, it was "just policy". I also started the booking process of a 1-2-and 3-night stay out of curiosity on the same dates and the online system let me, so not sure where this 5night minimum policy was existing. When I explained that the system allowed me to do this, the manager replied "you can just cancel this reservation and book somewhere else". So much for customer service! With direct flights to PV being more and more scarce with flight cancellations and changes I would hope managers can work on their accomodating customer service practices. Well I took the managers recommendation and cancelled. Afterwords, via email I asked for my airport ride to be cancelled and to confirm cancellation, and Daniel didn't respond even when I followed up twice to confirm my cancellation airport transportation. Seems they were bitter about me following their own suggestion!

Vallarta shores absolutely met my expectations and then some. The staff was friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was very nice and did a pretty job keeping are suite tidy and clean. It was nice having daily housekeepers. There is staff 24 hrs a day. The view was out of this world. There are no restaurants on site but many within close walking distance. The only thing I’d recommend is it would have been it would to have nice to have a full length mirror in our suite and the private lounge chairs on the beach were uncomfortable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ highly recommend!

What an amazing find! This place is gorgeous and the location is prime. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the welcoming drinks in the fridge is a nice touch. I just wish they had a restaurant or bar on site. Would love to go back again soon ☀️

Great place to stay. Beautiful rooms with incredible views. The location is a bit of a trek from the rest of the Zona Romantica but it's still lovely. Our chef, Lulu, was the best!!!

Very nice place to spend several days in Puerto Vallarta. We stayed in a three bedroom suite with a great ocean view. Right beside the beach which was very nice. We did have a butler / chef who cooked two meals a day and they were spectacular. Our Chef / Butler was Carlo.

Overall, we enjoyed our experience and would consider staying here again. Pros/Cons: -Right on the beach w/ a beach club to get food from next door -Location a tad far from the Romantica Zone, 10-15 minute walk so feels a little far down. -Excellent front desk, Kim helped me plan a birthday surprise and Pedro who worked nights was awesome. -We felt cleanliness of room was a little lacking - dead bugs in windowsill and towels were dirty. Sheets not changed during our stay. We also got charged for an expensive bottle of champagne when we hired a chef through the hotel to make breakfast- I had instructed them to get something cost effective as we were making mimosas and the chef purchased an $85 USD bottle of Moet. If you get a chef be careful if you order alcohol and consider giving a price cap.

Our stay was amazing. The rooms are beautiful. We stayed in a three bedroom suite so we had a private pool and our own three rooms. Loved that the suite was so open to nature, with a view of the ocean. Our chefs were amazing. We had to change rooms due to last minute changes and the hotel was very accommodating. Chef Raul welcomed us from the airport with delicious chili rellenos and margaritas. The next few days of our stay were with Chef Edwin, who was amazing at his craft. Chef Edwin made us such good food, our family talks about how great our stay was because of his hospitality. Would legit go back just to more of Chef Edwin’s food. The hotel was an easy walk to the town and had incredible views of the ocean with manta rays and dolphins. Only negative don’t go in July, we’re from Texas and thought we could handle heat. We were wrong , it’s worse than Houston on its worst day. Hotel was amazing though.

Can't get any closer to the beach. Superb rooms with ocean view, private pools and paylapas on the beach. Walkable to shopping and restaurants.

The weight staff... Great! The window guy... Not do friendly. Traditional decore (our room). No fan in bathroom and there is a greated window above the toilet so everyone can hear you do your business. Great view. Good location.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. If I could live there forever, I would. If you're on the fence, don't be. Stay here.

5 times I’ve stayed here 1 bedroom #3 2 bedroom #4 And another 2 bedroom You can’t beat the quaint convenient location . End of a cobble stone road . Steps to the beach , a short walk to the malecon the restaurants and shops. The employees are super helpful .Martha the owner introduced herself ask how everything was . Daniel & Philipe and staff friendly and polite. It’s old Mexico . One thing there is a semi permanent resident in # 6 that has a small dog a " BARKER" when she's with Barker it only barks when the fireworks go off 2 times a night and briefly , if she leaves the dog unattended " BARKER " barkers a lot did i say alot. Fortunately she doesn't leave often.

Great location, lovely staff. Rooms are a bit spartan. Some higher end fixtures would take this place over the top. Would stay again

Do not stay here. Vallarta Shores and Daniel will steal your money and then lie about it. He has kept our money for two years and refused to refund us. He now states that our credit is no longer good. As you can see from the response below that he did steal our money. He has never been out a room reservation because of us.

The Penthouse was a great experience and has amazing views! The rooms were clean and well appointed. The staff was very helpful and friendly for our stay. Chef Lulu was a lot of fun and her food was excellent! I would recommend staying here for your travels to Puerto Vallarta.

Vallarta Shores is our go to place for a special stay in Puerto Vallarta. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The suites are amazing, clean and includes an open plan kitchen with a pool and the views are spectacular. It’s always a wonderful relaxing time. Thank you so much Edwin our dedicated chef who made amazing meals and also came with a cheerful personality who did whatever we needed to provide beautifully presented and tasty food. Service with a smile.

I love staying at Vallarta Shores. The location is perfect directly on the beach and within walking distance of everything in Zona Romántica. The staff is very friendly and accommodating including front desk, daily cleaning, night security and building maintenance. Rooms are spacious with open air balconies and are decorated beautifully with local cultural flair.
