After a couple of nights at a resort for a wedding, we wanted to stay downtown to be walking distance from everything. Decided on this hotel because of how picturesque it looked and I definitely do not regret my decision. With only 20 rooms, this place is quiet and peaceful. You're able to be at the pool and read a book without so much commotion. They had coffee available at the patio every morning with cookies. The room was spacious, clean, and with comfortable beds. The front desk lady Ninfa was great and Pancho the maintenance guy kept the premises clean and looking beautiful. I would definitely stay here again!

Very cute boutique hotel! Very clean, well kept and excellent service. This boutique hotel has limited rooms so it’s perfect for adults that want some peace and quiet! Cute pool, with outdoor bar for drinks and hang out! The rooms are very cute, great AC. Perfect location in the heart of the romantic zone, just a 3 minute walk to the beach, tons of great restaurants near by, a great spa just a couple doors down! This is on a slight hill (not too bad at all) very doable, but might be an issue for some! Definitely stay here! You won’t regret it great deal

This place is a hidden gem, the room and the whole hotel is just as cute as the photos suggest it will be. Super great for photos, there's also a cute shower robe in the closet. The ac was super cold the whole time and cooled the room down in minutes. The maid will come clean the room everyday, I only had them come about half the days and put the occupied sign up the other half. I made sure and tipped at the end of my stay but didn't realize that sometimes there's more than 1 person that does the cleaning so I would suggest tipping each day they come. The room felt just like new everytime they came.

FANTASTIC boutique hotel in the Zona Romatica in Puerto Vallarta! Booked same day on New Year's Eve and were thrilled with what we experienced. Simple but tasteful double ground floor room that smelled like a spa everytime we entered. The exterior says fun, fun, fun! Color everywhere!! Great location just a couple of blocks from the beach and all the action. I came with my husband (hetero couple) and brought our 25 year old daughter with us and we all thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and the Romantic Zone!

Stayed for a week in the spring of this year. Superb staff, rooms as pictured, excellent quiet yet still lively location. We enjoyed the kid free accomodations and we were able to walk everywhere we needed/wanted to.

This quaint little hotel is in an excellent location with more than welcoming staff. Rooms are great with no surprises and just as it is advertised. The colors in this hotel will brighten your day!

Stayed here for 5 days for my babymoon. The service was impeccable- very attentive staff and incredibly kind. The rooms, pool and common areas were very clean. The location was perfect. Easy walking distance to the beach and many, many restaurants, bars & cafes but far enough away to not be disturbed by late night partying on the main streets. My room was very cute. There was a fridge & microwave for late night cravings. The beds came with sheets, no blankets, and with the AC I got really cold & ended up turning off the AC. Wi-fi was spotty, but I didn’t really need it. Overall, I highly recommend!

Excellent small hotel that I'd definitely recommend. Room was nicely decorated, spacious and comfy. There's also a full sized fridge and microwave and a little balcony. Location was perfect for us - it's right in the centre of Zona Romantica so within one minute you've passed several good bars and restaurants and after a two minute walk you're at the beach. Despite that it's slightly set back, so there wasn't any loud noise at night. The pool was great for lounging around and cooling off, and the bar did great cocktails, although the bar shuts at 7pm and most days seemed to be shut well before that. But it was nice to get a drink there in the day. We were in one of the upstairs rooms which I think would be preferable, as some of the downstairs ones had pool loungers right outside their doors. You couldn't see in from outside, but it could be weird having someone sat right outside your window! In the morning you can nip downstairs to the attached bakery for a complimentary pastry and coffee. These pastries were delcious! There's a water fountain by the pool where you can refill bottles too, which was nice.

Stayed here for about a week. Service overall was great, especially the cleaning crew. Front desk and management did a poor job at accommodating guests after the hurricane that took electricity and water. I requested a clean bucket in the front desk to shower with pool water and was given a nasty old bucket. I feel like the hotel could have made an effort after the first day when other places and gyms were open, like a gym pass for the guests or access to showers in a sister property, etc. While it is understandable that natural weather events be can be challenging for everyone, this hotel could’ve been a little bit nicer about sending employees out to purchase a couple clean buckets, for example. Or maybe offering a place to charge phones. I will definitely not stay here again nor recommend to friends.

Great option for stay in PV!! Everything close, the hotel clean, attentive service and nice personal! Eva always so kind and polite! Great staff I loved it! And I’ll choose again! So peaceful!

I give Casa María 5 stars not because it's like a Michelin star actual 5 star hotel, but because it is perfect for what I need. It is in the most ideal location. 10 minute walk from literally everything. The clubs, the beach, the bars, everything. It is clean. It has a pool. You can use the keyed entrance 24/7. It is beautiful, too. And Ava is a superstar bartender hostess with the mostest! Casa María feels like home in the best way possible. ♥️

An absolutely wonderful boutique hotel! This was the first time in PV for my daughter and me and we couldn’t have selected a better place for our 6-night stay! From the beginning with manager Jamie hurrying out to help us with luggage from our taxi until our leave, everyone and everything was perfect. You will NOT be disappointed with Casa Maria! The hotel is extremely clean, beds comfortable, good A/C, full-size fridge, micro, coffee and cinnamon rolls each morning poolside - great pool too. Ava at the bar was wonderful, all the staff were so friendly and helpful it was a pleasure to stay here. The location is convenient to the water, restaurants, shops. Thank you Jamie, Ava and everyone for a trip to remember, especially the birthday decorating!

Amazing service! The staff was outstanding and so welcoming! Made my birthday so special! This was a vacation I will remember forever. The people met and the exceptional service will hold a place in my heart forever.

First time in PV and we’d definitely stay here again. Aside from the beautiful vibrant color scheme, it is in a perfect location in the Romantic Zone, super close to the beach and restaurants. The staff was so friendly and helpful every time we saw them and asked them questions. Rooms included a hair dryer, 2 robes, 2 pool towels, a woven basket that fit both towels and had extra room for water, sunscreen, wallets, etc., and an umbrella. It feels like they thought of everything you could need. We used everything! Our room overlooked the pool and it wasn’t noisy at night. The bartender was so kind and fun. Coffee and sweet rolls in the morning was such a nice plus. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Per recommendation by a friend I booked 7 nights here. This review is going to take a while because I’m compelled to include every minute fine detail about how wonderful my stay here was. I truly believe there’s magic here. Positive vibration. 6 degrees of separation where people of similar energy converge. The energy here is so positive, non judge mental, supportive and healing. The location is smack in the middle, like the pulse of the city where anything and everything is not too far away. The townspeople will notice your presence. You’ll make friends. You’ll meet people here who just click. You’ll be able to unwind, regroup, free up space in a cluttered mind. Renew and refresh. A port in a storm, if you need one. Great small, colorful hotel in the center of zona romantico. Get a room by the pool like room 7 or 8. Nice to open patio door and have lounge chairs right in front. Coffee and pastry on the bar every morning. Bathrooms need work. Good internet. Hot water good. Nice staff.

I would rate this as a very good choice if you are staying in Zona Romanticá. It's not the most luxurious place, but it definitely fills the needs. There were luckily no kids and this is not the place I'd stay with kids. Rooms are very good, super good water pressure and temp for showers, close to beach, and the free morning coffee and pastries are solid. It's a pretty quiet place mostly.The only complaint is right at 8 to 830am the staff can be talking in next to the pool and it can wake up you, especially if you're hungover and it's annoying. One morning it was a walkie talkie beeping but other than that usually not a problem.

Location, staff, cleanliness, beauty, attention to detail. We stayed there because of the great reviews and we were not disappointed. The room was beautiful, it smelled wonderful, the staff was so friendly and attentive. The location was perfect. Highly recommend it.

Great, affordable option in the romantic district. Easy walk to the beach and surrounding restaurants. Our room was right off the pool but other guests were very chill and the hotel ended up being quieter than we thought (a good thing for us who were looking to find the party outside, not in). Staff were great and very attentive.

This hotel is the perfect place to relax in beautiful PV. The rooms are very clean. The staff is helpful and nice. Every morning they make a fresh pot of coffee for the guests to enjoy by the pool. I highly recommend staying here.

A wonderful small hotel with unsurpassed attentive service. Very private, relaxing and quiet for my 3 night stay checking out in the morning. My room poolside was not new but had hip character. I felt welcome and at home here. The guests and the staff were polite and considerate.

So happy we came to this hotel! Everything was great, clean room, good air conditioning, nice pool etc. It’s not super luxurious or anything, but perfect it was perfect for us and the location is fantastic.

The hotel is great! The location is perfect if you want to be in an area with lots of restaurants and bars. Also the hotel is 5 min walk to the beach. The rooms are very clean and you get clean beach towels every day. The swimming pool is perfect and you can always enjoy a drink in a relaxed atmosphere. The bed is very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel especially to couples!

Solo female traveller and this hotel was perfect! Clean, quiet, safe. The staff are friendly and professional. Great pool, excellent room with fridge/freezer and microwave. Location was awesome, walked to beach, restaurants, shops. Highly recommended!
