Awesome experience, can't say enough good things about this place or the surrounding neighborhood. Walking home from Cafe Artists I was looking for a place to buy a bottle of wine to have by the pool. Some locals were having conversation and beer outside their house informed us it was all closed. Next thing we know they ran inside their own house to grab us a bottle, brought out a couple of cervesas for us and and hour and a half later of great conversation we finally departed back to our hotel.

I wish I could give this incredible hotel even more than 5 stars! My husband and I came here and had an absolutely amazing time. The rooms have stunning views and the location is perfect. You are close to everything and can walk to restaurants, the water, the Romantic Zone, etc. Anything else is just a taxi ride away. Because of a poor weather forecast my husband and I ended up being the only ones at the hotel but that didn’t stop Mercedes and the rest of the team from taking great care of us. The fresh breakfast overlooking the ocean is an amazing touch, but the views from the infinity pool are the real highlight. The only downside is if you don’t want to do a lot of walking! The hotel is high up on a hill so it’s not for the faint of heart. I liked the exercise and getting my steps in though. I highly recommend this hotel!

They've earned their high rating, that's for sure! I think this is a great value stay in a fun, lovely area of Puerto Vallarta. This is what you should consider before booking: 1. Lots of stairs inside and out so some may not enjoy the level of activity required. You have a tremendous view of the town and water. But it's because of the tall building and walking 200+ stairs from the waterfront. The sidewalk stairs are also steep, uneven, and the curbs are high. 2. Difficult to park at the hotel and drive from airport. I strongly recommend just taking a cab. The cab drivers will get you there much faster with less effort for like $10USD. 3. This is a boutique hotel so services are limited. I think they provided all of the essentials very well and I personally preferred the low-key vibe. But you do have the trade-off that there is not always someone at the front desk. Your access in and out is controlled by a physical key. Let them know when you plan to arrive and provide your flight information. 4. Limited hot water for showers so plan accordingly. I never had a morning hot shower. You will have some hot water if you shower at an unpopular time (but no more than 5 minutes). I don't know if this is just unique to the hotel or if water in the area has the same limitations. 5. Fairly noisy at night. If you're a light sleeper, bring good ear plugs and a sleeping mask. The church bells go off often and early. Dogs are barking (sometimes non-stop) at all hours of the night. This is the only aspect that would deter me from coming back because it led to many sleep-deprived days. 6. Lots of garbage on corners exploring around the hotel. It's a really concentrated area and you often can't avoid walking right beside bags of garbage. 7. Pool is not heated. I was never tempted to take advantage of the pool because it was too chilly. They kept it very clean though! But even with some of these "inconveniences", this place offers a truly unique experience. 1. Close to many, many restaurants that offer a variety of dining experiences. I wouldn't even bother with the boardwalk restaurants. There are so many great spots within town. 2. Really interesting layout inside! The building is open so you get lots of fresh air and exposure to beautiful greenery. Apparently, the hotel was someone's home at one point. 3. Fun decor! I love the themes with each room and how much bright color is incorporated into all the spaces. Walking in and out of the room everyday was quite the experience. 4. Awesome views! Whether you're having breakfast or at the top by the pool, there is so much to admire when you look out. 5. Lots of shared spaces! If you're trying to save money on food and drinks, this hotel will help. You have access to a full kitchen. 6. Continental breakfast every morning starting at 8am! We took advantage of this most mornings, sipping on coffee, eating toast and fruit. Personally, I found it to just be a really relaxing start to the day. The view was the best! 7. Superb hospitality! It never felt over the top excessive (like some hotels). It felt genuine and warm. 8. Lots of access to filtered water! It feels weird to list that item. But it's also important to consider that you're not buying bottled water everyday and you can access it on every level in all common spaces. The only recommendations I would make for a better experience are: 1. Better bedding: you start with two sheets and they have a thicker blanket in the closet. But really, it's not all that comfortable. A fluffier, light comforter would have been nice. They did incorporate the thick blanket when they made the bed. But the bedding is so low on the bed, that it would start just below your chest or you have to sleep halfway down the bed. It was awkward. 2. Add signs: this place feels like a maze and I have the worst sense of direction. I just learned by trial and error over one week. Signs would have made me feel more comfortable.

The best hotel we stayed at in PV! Staff are lovely and helpful, and the rooms and views cannot be beat! 100% would recommend, and we will be coming again! It's the perfect distance to remove yourself from the noise and hustle of the touristy spots while being close enough to walk there.

I have so many good things to say about Luna Liquida Hotel Boutique. The first thing you need to know… the views are top notch! I found myself coming back to my hotel for an afternoon siesta just to bask in the beauty of my view of Banderas Bay. The employees are lovely and are willing to help at anytime. Mercedes offers a wonderful breakfast of fruit, toast, and coffee as you take in the exceptional view. I stayed in Sol 1. It is a very large room with not one… but TWO balconies. The bathroom is so large and bathtub is like a small swimming pool 😂 there is also a plethora of closet space. The hotel is a good walk up from the beach - you will definitely work those quads and calf muscles but I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I will definitely stay here again!

This is one of the most beautiful hotels we have ever stayed! Absolutely stunning views of downtown and the ocean. You can watch the sunset on the rooftop pool and the fruit, toast, and coffee for breakfast is a great touch. We will definitely stay here again! So gorgeous

Well cared hidden gem in Old Town. Staff Carlos and the lady who prepared breakfast were very friendly. View from the roof top was a million dollar one. The hike to the small hill could be a bit challenging but that’s way you get that great view!

It’s hard to write a great review for this place because it’s like a hidden gem that you really want to keep secret. Great rooms/views/pool/breakfast! You can hear a bit of the noise from the Malecon at night but it didn’t bother us too much. The location is phenomenal! The pool is terrific! We will definitely be back!!

Arrived at the hotel during the stated business hours and the front gate was locked. There was no one at the front desk and no one would answer the phone. Waited for a few hours and still no one arrived. The hotel looks like it’s shut down. We had to book another hotel for our stay. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

Really LOVED staying here. The room was comfortably and the views from the roof deck views spectacular! The staff was very attentive. It is in a perfect location, above the bustle of the boardwalk. Iyou have trouble walking stairs, it may not be the best place for you.

First of all, before you book, ask yourself what type of experience you're looking for. If you're looking to relax and feel as if you're in a big house that's airy and open with an authentic Mexican ambiance, then this is your place! I loved it. We felt like we were the only ones there. The rooftop is where it's at. The view is seriously gorgeous. Sitting in that pool and overlooking the most interesting part of Puerto Vallarta is what I wanted. The fireworks go off every evening. There's a world-class Italian restaurant, La Cappella, only two blocks away; the malecon is a 5 minute walk. If you're looking for a vacation where there is someone to be there at your beck and call, then this is not he place for you. Also, if you have any mobility issues at all, you will find the walk up Iturbide extremely taxing. I taxied back every time and it was worth every penny. I stayed in Sol 1 and the view from our room was amazing. The staff are wonderful and they clean your room every day. We ordered Uber Eats and ate out the whole time. For what we wanted, this was the perfect getaway. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff (Areceli, Marcelles) who contributed to our wonderful week.

The best kind of boutique hotel. Quiet, local, great service, one of a kind rooms, spectacular views, easy walk downhill to great eateries, and friendly other travelers. One word of caution: it is a hike up-hill to get to the hotel so factor that in if you are disabled or not in good health. Also there are a lot of stairs in the hotel and no elevators.

We stayed in Sol 1, definitely the larger of the Sol rooms, amazing balcony and great view of the ocean and mountains. A shower and tub to accommodate 8 people. Clean common areas, good hot water and water pressure. Nice rooftop pool. Polite and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend this to everyone...except those with mobility issues, the hills and stairs are not for the faint of heart, but keep your butt in good shape.

Romantic & beautiful non-generic hotel above the cathedral and malicon. Pretty good hike up, although taxi can get you to the doorstep.

Great service and nice clean property and rooms, the breakfast area and rooftop had amazing views even got to see humpback whales. Room wasn't super quiet with street noise but it was a great stay. If you're not in good shape take a cab since the hill is steep.

Absolutely stunning views! It's a rough walk straight up hill from the boardwalk, but the views are definitely worth it. I would most certainly stay here again!

Beautiful hotel. It's like living in a Mexican hacienda. The views are excellent and pool is beautiful. I really enjoyed my stay.

I visited a friend who recently stayed here for a week. Hence I can only comment as someone who visited the roof top pool. I would definitely book here. If you know PV it is almost impossible to find a quiet neighborhood. But Luna Liquida is at the top of a dead end street. Super peaceful. It is a bit of a climb but the cardio is good for you and the views are the absolute best Puerto Vallarta has to offer from the roof top deck.... the Hotel is small boutique very pretty with Mexican charm and architecture . Sheets and towels could use a refresh but in general it is IMMACULATE. Remember the views are from the roof however many rooms have sweet balconies and very large French doors bringing in lots of natural light. The balconies are small but adds charm and enlarges your room with doors open. It is a great location if you want quiet but easy access downtown Centro and the malecon and ocean. Keep in mind the stairs aren't for everyone as it is a bit of a work out....All worth it. I say Book it!!

The photos don't do this hotel justice. We stayed in the "treehouse" room with a fantastic view of the city and ocean. Service and location are both stellar.
