We were visiting for the week in Puerto. This was my favorite place on the malecon. The food was great, service (Esteban) was phenomenal and the band was outstanding! A must if you love salsa music

Ambiance and history at its finest. One of Ernest Hemingway’s hide-a-ways. Good food. Great live music.

delicious food and fantastic live music. at 22:00 you can enjoy a cigar on the terrace (which you can buy at a great store downstairs)!

I would consider this place a Cuban mex and not a traditional Cuban restaurant. I ordered the ropa vieja that is sold alone. So m, I ordered the white rice and a guacamole appetizer. Yes, they have many Mexican food items. The guac, which was good is served with tostadas and crackers. Not chips. Weird. I asked for a bread and butter basket. It is not offered, nor were they able to accommodate. They took 10 minutes to bring me the original mojito which was watered down a lot. The rice was Mexican-style white rice, not Cuban-style. The ropa was also very watery like a Mexican “guisado” (stew). The 3 sauces that are provided with your entree were ok. The habanero one was really watered down and acidic. On a positive note, the views were one of the best in Puerto a Vallarta. The decor, ambiance music and live music we’re on point. I’ll be back for the live entertainment and regular drinks.

Our 1st time and it was amazing, we had the shrimp empanadas, to start and then the tuna shashimi and then we had our main course. please do expect to wait 45 minutes for the Paella, it's worth the wait, and it was absolutely fantastic. And the views are just stunning, especially having dinner at sunset. A really nice place, and really great staff, food is Amazing.

Service can take a bit even with a low amount of customers. I only had drinks here and would advise beer or upgrading their base options in their cocktails. Most of what they use for mixers by default could be better used as fuel. Staff are lovely when they get to you and the view is gorgeous.

A serious must to listen to authenic Cubano musica on the Malecon. Atmosphere is first class..along with the waiters. Mohitos rock big time. Need to get there early before the band takes over. The dance floor gets crazy.

This rating is for the mojitos as they were fresh and delicious. The original is perfect but the others are a must try if you like refreshing fruity but powerful drinks.

I’ve lived in PV for 2 years and this is my first time here! I normally don’t like the food on the MALECÓN as it’s so touristy! Yet this is an exception! Amazing service, live band was excellent and I had the best “favorite” Camaron Shrimp tacos appetizer I’ve had in PV ! With perfect cup of Cuban coffee! Can’t wait to go back and try other dishes and I’ll let you know how they are ♥️

The empanadas were delightful! As you can see I ate them all. I remembered to take a pic of my tamarind shrimp in the beginning though 😉 Great service and its right off the boardwalk so it’s a good vibe. The scenery pic was taken from our table, very nice time and food.

Stopped by for drinks and for the music. We had eaten before so we didn't purchase food but from what I saw the food looked delicious. Drinks were excellent 👌. Live band but the dance floor is a bit tight. Seems like a great place to go dance. Service was excellent as was the atmosphere.

If you enjoy great food and Latin music and dancing (specifically Son / Cuban salsa, bachata, merengue and cha-cha) then you will love La Bodeguita del Medio. Delicious meat and seafood, carne y mariscos, plátano maduro, and tasty mixed drinks. The beef was some of the most flavorful and tender I have ever had - unexpected but very welcomed from a place we went to more for the live music and dancing than the Cuban cuisine. We went twice while we were in Puerto Vallarta.

We went here for a rooftop view. I was surprise with the mango margarita, it's delicious. The best Margarita in PV. Eduardo is the best waiter too.

Popular Cuban club with great live music. They make the best mojito I’ve ever tasted. Check this place out if visiting Puerto Vallarta
