Avoid
the
hiking
activity.
It
is
not
worth
the
steep
price
that
the
company
charges.
I
was
really
looking
forward
to
spending
some
time
hiking
on
the
trails.
There
were
very
few
actual
trails.
Canopy
Rivers
has
a
space
that
is
primarily
designed
for
zip
lines
and
ATV
vehicles.
The
number
of
zip
lines
is
due
to
increase,
according
to
my
hiking
guide.
The
vast
majority
of
the
time
was
spent
on
soft,
dusty
roads
that
had
been
repeatedly
chewed
up
by
the
ATVs.
Great
for
ATVs,
a
lousy
way
to
spend
the
day
as
a
hiker.
With
ATVs,
there
is
a
lot
of
dust
hanging
in
the
air
that
settles
on
the
vegetation.
Hardly
a
jungle
experience.
Additionally,
the
price
is
way
too
much
for
what
you
get.
I
was
on
another
tour
that
was
$30
cheaper
that
included
an
amazing
lunch,
a
tequila-tasting
led
by
a
knowledgeable
and
charismatic
man
that
loved
tequila.
The
Canopy
Rivers
tour
offers
you
a
small
bottle
of
water
and
a
small,
bruised
apple.
Their
presenter
for
the
tequila
tasting
had
to
struggle
to
be
heard
as
Canopy
River
placed
the
tequila
tasting
beside
the
group
of
zip
liners
doing
cheers
as
part
of
their
safety
talk.
I
felt
sorry
for
the
presenter.
It
was
not
a
fair
situation
for
her
as
the
layout
of
activities
is
poorly
designed.
Additionally,
the
tequila
tasting
portion
was
so
small
in
comparison
to
other
tastings
that
I
have
attended
in
Mexico.
As
I
could
not
hear
much
of
the
presenter,
I
walked
over
to
their
pool
and
was
promptly
told
that
I
had
to
pay
to
enter
the
space.
They
tell
visitors
to
not
bring
food
so
that
they
have
to
buy
lunch
at
the
Canopy
Rivers
restaurant.
Thankfully,
I
found
a
hammock
to
stretch
out
while
waiting
for
the
ride
back
to
Puerto
Vallarta.
Canopy
Rivers
needs
to
embrace
the
service
s
that
they
are
designing
towards
(ATVs,
ziplines
and
horse
back
riding)
and
drop
their
Hiking
program.
The
cost
doesn’t
not
match
the
experience
and
the
experience
was
like
dust
in
the
teeth.
