The fried chicken was legit. Everything about this place felt like family, you know other than having to pay. Great prices, and good portions.

A wonderful place to eat was so into the food I forgot to snap a shot. I will return again for another meal. Went for Thanksgiving so the meal isn’t listed but it was delicious.

Excellent food and service! We have been traveling in Mexico for a couple months and were craving some American food. We arrived a little late and they looked like they were closing soon but they still welcomed us in and served us. The waiter was very nice. The food was delicious! Better than many restaurants in the US. We plan to return here and try some other dishes! Highly recommend if you’re looking for some great American food.

I stayed at an airbnb one block away and I’m so glad I found this restaurant. I ate here twice. The food is delicious! The chicken is so crispy and juicy. The meatloaf is just amazing. The Mac n cheese was mouth watering. You will not be disappointed!

Who'd expect world class fish and chips off the beaten path in Puerto Vallarta? Or classic pot roast better than my Midwestern Mom used to make? But here it is. When you tire of 40 kinds of empanadas in swanky restaurants all over the city, seek this place out and find your fill of old fashioned American comfort food.

Good American comfort food in Mexico. When you get tired of fresh seafood "I don't know how" this is the place for home comfort food

Such a GEM. Oh my goodness, such a cute atmosphere. And the fried chicken is INCREDIBLE. Hands down the best Ive ever had. And the margaritas are great too! Nicely balanced and easy to drink

Ate there several times with friends in February / March. Fast service, excellent quality food, gracious hostess, easy access, well ventilated, older friendly clients. I missed their signature hot turkey dinner served every second Sunday. Their "stick to the bones" half fried chicken? Heavy on the batter but sumptuous. I rarely drink alcohol. Water was clean and free.

**26/02/2023 UPDATE!** We've Eat(en) at Davids at least 3 times since initial revuew was written. I'm happy to say that each subsequent visit has been excellent! We will keep going back. What a great find!! Away from the crazy loud bars and touristy spots, Eat At Davids is quiet and unassuming. Being in Puerto Vallarta for a long stretch of time, every now and then we want just some regular US home cooking. Look no further. Tonight's specials were 1) BBQ Ribs with mac and cheese and a monster helping of cole slaw; 2) Fillet Mignon with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. There were 7 of us. 3 got ribs, 3 got steak and 1 chose the Ceasar Salad with Shrimp. As with most Mexican restaurants, meals are an ordeal and never rushed. It seemed to take longer than usual to have our orders taken by the chef and a bit of time to be served. That's just Mexico. The wait was well worth it. My ribs were super moist, tender and tasty with an unfamiliar sauce, not like US ribs, but delicious all the same. The mac and cheese, superb! Comments from our companions were upbeat and happy, seems like everyone was thrilled with the pick and the prices are easy on the pockets. The staff is kind, efficient and professional. Someone asked if David was around...the mild mannered waiter whispered, very seriously "David has died" David left a fine legacy. We will return.

Small but airy space that just feels right when you are there. The sign says comfort food and I would agree. Don't come here for Mexican dishes but their food is amazing. I had the special, pork tenderloins with a maple glaze. My friend ordered the grilled pork chop. Both were done well and tasted great accompanied by steam veggies and mashed potatoes. I have found a new go to place now!

Great restaurant. Special of the day was meatloaf. I swear it was the best I've ever had anywhere. Hubby had the fried chicken and was also delicious. Highly recommend this place. Yummy Yummy

EDIT- upon re visiting I noticed a change in their chicken breading, it just wasn't the same. Also my chicken was not fully cooked. Little place that serves up comfort food. I had the fried chicken and it was Good. Vegetables were cooked perfectly and their gravy was really tasty. My waiter Sam was fantastic.

Fantastic service and good food, but a very small selection of drinks and dinner selections. This is not to say the food was short of good.

This was our first visit and have added it to our list of restaurants to recommend. The dining room is set up well and very inviting. The staff was sincerely friendly and helpful. We had the steak special and the tempura shrimp for dinner. Both entrees were very good. Always nice to find such a great neighborhood restaurant Already planning to go back for the fried chicken special.

This place has daily specials. We were there on a Tuesday and had the fried chicken. It was really good. Service was quick and welcoming. Price was very reasonable. $460 pesos for the two dinners and a couple of beers... about $30 CAD. Not the cheapest but still pretty reasonable for the amount of food and the quality.

This was our very first dinning experience at Eat At Davids and our take out Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings was spectacular. The Thanksgiving meal was of high quality and plentiful. We will be return customers for sure.

Quiet atmosphere, low volume music, friendly service. A most excellent place to sit and talk and enjoy the great food. We had the Tuesday special... Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy.
