The sashimi wasn’t fresh. The wait time was incredibly long. The only good dish that we had was the tempura shrimp, other than that, I would not recommend this place.

Great food! Worth the wait, as service is not in a hurry for much. But, the food is worth it, and if you have good company, it is a pleasant place.

The spicy tuna tostadas are incredible! All other food great, super fresh. Service was very slow as it was busy, but we had to ask for wasabi and were not offered a second drink... However food is fantastic, so we will be back.

Went to try something new aside from our resort food, me and my sister understood they are a busy restaurant and gave them the benefit of the doubt, waited 40 minutes to be seated. Our starters (two items) took almost an hour to be served to us , by this point it became slow and the rest of our food ( 3 rolls) almost another hour. The servers were very generous, kind and respectful, however the sashimi was way to greased in sauces, rolls were all drenched in sauces that killed the actual flavour of the roll itself, and the rice itself was soggy!

Consistently come back for the crunchy and the huerfanito roll. I love the creativity of the rolls. Service is good, not the most exciting atmosphere but delicious nonetheless. My favourite rolls in Pv. If you have a kid there js a play place close by.

We had a great lunch here. We did read a lot of reviews about wait time, although our food did take a bit to arrive it was excellent and spot on. The service was excellent, and we will be back again.

Do not go to this restaurant if you don’t want to get sick, I had dinner with my mom and both of us got sick, I started feeling bloated and a little bit nauseous and we ended up pretty sick and the service was afoul the waiter forgot our food and we had to wait a lot, when the restaurant was empty. 😞 my mom also says that when we just got there she got a smell like very fishy this time.

Beer was not cool enough as usual. Second time that I have this experience. This time I connected my phone to their wifi and it was too slow. Food was good.

This place has sadly gone downhill over the last few years. The Sushi is expensive and average at best. Service is poor although there are many waiters standing around doing nothing. Our 3 basic sushi rolls took over 30 mins and people that arrived after us received their food before us. They seem to cater to and prefer the cruise ship clientele.

The sushi was ok, I didn’t know it was all fried so that made it too heavy for me to eat. The saki was tasty and the seaweed salad was delicious. Our table had mixed reactions and I was indifferent so four out of five stars. If my sushi was a bit more fresh tasting it would have been five stars. Something was just off.

Great sushi. Attentive staff. I found the nigiri somewhat expensive. The sashimi is a better value

Hadn't been here for about 3 years but this place does not disappoint. They have a unique twist on many of their dishes and all are very enjoyable. I definitely get in here at least one time when I visit Puerto Vallarta.

I ordered a Kensao special ramen soup. It was brought out after a 20 minute wait. The soup had a couple of slices of a hard-boiled egg and some flavorless ground beef. I ate about a third of the soup, paid and took a taxi home. I barely made it to the bathroom with bad stomach pain. I have been coming to Puerto Vallarta for 5 years and never had any problems even with street foods. I would call my Kensao experience Montezuma's Japanese revenge.

We had always enjoyed this place in the past. We sat down at 1 and didn't get our food until 2. It was over cooked and tasteless. Ordered take out for my mom it took another 40 minutes. She said the tuna was good but the sauces were awful and the salad was old.

The first 2 times we ate here, we were pleased. Not bad. Compared the sushi to upscale US supermarket . Last time disappointed.

Worst service ever. I waited 90 minutes for my food. I saw people get seated, eat and leave several times. I kept asking why it was taking it so long and they had no concern plus were rude. The sushi is not worth the wait.

Meh it was ok. The restaurant is located inside the shopping mall. The service was ok but our food took a long time to come out! And it wasn't even busy. They have a fairly large sushi menu. Not the best or well made sushi I had in Puerto Vallarta but it was good. My biggest complaint is they water down their soy sauce and then serve it in a half gallon container. Unfortunately, when you dip sushi in too much liquid it falls apart which is what happened to me.

Pretty average food with spotty service. Not a great choice if on a tight budget. Many items are expensive. I stuck too the nigiri and cones.

Not what it used to be. Las time at restaurant they prioritize a catering order and we waited for 1 hr. And.... Dont even think about ordering for delivery. Orders not revised, bikers hired blend the food and it is a long wait with dissappointment at the end. Come on Kensao do a better job!

This is the second time we have eaten at this restaurant and the service and food have been impeccable. The Mexican take on the sushi 🍣 here is so interesting and delicious. My recommendation is to be adventurous with your choices when you visit this restaurant and you will be pleasantly surprised.
