We did the night taco tour. What an excellent experience! We enjoyed tacos, chocolates, raicilla, churros and more! Our tour guide, Manu, did a wonderful job sharing historical and cultural information throughout the tour. The marlin and pastor tacos were my favorite but they were all delicious. I cannot recommend the tour enough!

First off, our guide Sylvia provided us with outstanding, exceptional service. She was fun, easy going and gave us a history lesson during the walk about the city. She accommodated to my parter who did not drink and made each one of us fill included. I highly recommend her!! There was a group of 4 of us and the other couple made the trip enjoyable. If you are in need of wanting to get a cultural feel of Puerto Vallarta and their amazing food, drinks and people I highly recommend this tour to be your first stop. Sylvia is awesome!

If you're a foodie you have to do the Vallarta by Road Food Tour. Our guide Miel was so knowledgeable and took us to some really great family owned restaurants to try absolutely great authentic food. Taco, Mexican Sandwich, Tamale, fish taco, shrimp taco and dessert!

Silva was our tour guide, and she was amazing! She accommodated for my dairy allergy by making sure that everything served to me wasn’t cooked with butter, milk, or cheese. I also don’t drink alcohol, so she made sure to have each location craft me a zero-proof drink. The variations of tacos. salsa, and venues was really eye opening. Who knew there were so many different wonderful tacos!

Best food tour we’ve done, Homeros was our guide and we really enjoyed his insight on his home turf and his recommendations. It felt like we were hanging out with a friend and we felt really welcomed. Food was delicious and we got to try food from places we probably wouldn’t have figured out on our own. Would definitely do this tour again, it was great value for money.

This was our first trip to PV so this tour was perfect for getting the lay of the land (or food) should I say! Our guide, Sylvia, was absolutely fantastic and shared with us not only a delicious variety of tacos and cocktails but also her of vast knowledge of the history of the area, the foods we ate and the drinks we tried! Let me just say that the Guide makes the tour! Sylvia your energy and spirit was truly delightful and made this tour our favorite! Anyone reading this should ask for Sylvia!

Our family of five absolutely loved this tour! Our tour guide Joana was super fun, informative and introduced us to some AMAZING local food! Everything we tried was very authentic and so delicious! The walking was at a leisurely pace and the stops were frequent enough to have many breaks. I cannot say enough great things about this tour, it’s an absolutely MUST when in Vallarta!

Eat the food that real people eat...and it's delicious! Our guide, Alcibiades (Al) was fantastic, engaging, and thoroughly knowledgeable. We visited 8 street vendors and small family restaurants to sample a different specialty taco in each place. If you go to eat in a haute cuisine restaurant, you have a great meal...but THIS is real food, with the people who live and work in Puerto Vallarta. This tour is a wonderful way to get the real feel, and taste, of Puerto Vallarta. Just do it!

We did the Taste of Pitillal while in Puerto Vallarta and loved it and was a great way to get way from the "touristy" area. The food was fantastic (try everything), tour informative, and guide was friendly knowledgeable. Will definitely try another tour from this company next time we are in Puerto Vallarta.

Bernardo was a fabulous tour guide. I highly recommend the taco tour to anyone looking to try and assortment of local street tacos. The crab taco, beef cheek, and al pastor taco was amazing so come hungry. You will also learn some fun facts along the way. Thanks again for a great evening!

A wonderful, fun, educational way to spend a few hours. Bernardo was a great guide, full of insight and humour. We tried a variety of tasters from some delightful places, from street food to hole-in-the-wall restaurants to private Casas, all excellent. Lots of cultural extras too. Really enjoyed it and highly recommend.

We had an amazing time on our 3-hour Evening Taco Tour. It was delightful to sample local family run tacorias and delicious libations. It exceeded all our expectations. Eric was a terrific host 👏. Would highly recommend.

We took the Seafood Food tour and it was great. We purchased the tour that included alcohol and that also was great. Our tour guide Sylvia was fantastic and did such a great job. We would go to a restaurant and have the dish they were serving. We would then walk for ten minutes to the next stop and have the restaurant offering. This prevented us from getting stuffed. We ended with a dessert at the last stop. The tour went for three and one half hours. Well done Sylvia and Vallarta Food Tours.

In all the years we have been coming to Puerto Vallarta this is the best tour we have done. Joana was amazing, very knowledgeable and a lot of fun. The evening taco tour should be on everyone’s must do list

Bernardo was a fantastic tour guide. We enjoyed this tour so much. The food and cocktails were sensational. Highly recommend. We did our first good tour in Prague and are hooked on doing them. This was well worth it and a lot of fun.

The evening taco tour was so delicious and fun and even the walking was not so bad. Yes, it was hot and humid, but you didn't notice it as much, as we were eating and enjoying each other's company so much. The hospitality and service of each place was top notch and you can see the passion these people have for their craft. And these are places you wouldn't normally stop to eat or even know about if you aren't a local. This tour company was the best and is highly recommended. Our tour guide Manuel was amazing also. So knowledgeable and kind and they even went out to buy me a specific beer bc they didn't carry it in one of the restaurant we stopped at. Now THAT'S~ service! I would absolutely do this tour again and even try all the other ones. *sharing a few pix of of sites along the way of the tour* Oh! And let me say, we got to eat the absolute BEST churros ever!!! I don't think I'll ever eat any thing better than these! 🤤

My husband and I took the Vallarta Food Tour with Sylvia, our tour guide. Sylvia was very knowledgeable about the areas, the best places to get tacos and other yummy Mexican dishes. It was the most fun experience and Sylvia's infectious personality made it even more enjoyable. We would highly recommend this tour. We ate so much food and drank too many drinks. It's a great value and a lot of fun!

We thoroughly enjoyed our downtown food tour with Sylvia in late December. Sylvia was extremely knowledgeable, fun, and personable. Our group was only ten people, which was the perfect size for meeting a few new people but not being overwhelming. The group size and all the places we visited felt very covid-safe - all outdoor or open air dining with food-preparers all masked. Every single stop on the tour provided excellent food, and a variety of items we might not have tried or would have missed altogether. So glad we did this tour and had Sylvia as our guide!

I’ve never really considered doing a food tour. This was something that I got invited to by a group of friends today and it was so good, I’m taking the time to write this review. We rode bikes to 4 taco carts and an ice cream shop. We stopped at a couple of view points on the ride. I was so impressed with our tour guide OMERO. You need to ask for him. He’s a local and one of the stops was his childhood taco stop. Very knowledgeable - very friendly. I recommend this 1000%

Everything about this was top-notch. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes tacos and bikes. The tour guide (Homberto I think?) was very friendly, knowledgeable and fun to be with. Working with Paul was great. We had a group of 16 - took a private tour and had AMAZING Tacos, Churros and Ice Cream (friendly advice, do NOT try the Burned Milk - you’ll thank me). If you’re in Puerto Vallarta and want to do see the beautiful city in a fun, unique way and have some amazing food - go with Vallarta Food Tours. We’d do it again next time I’m in PV.

A HUGE Shoutout to our friends at Vallarta Food Tours & all of the host restaurants in Bucerias! 📣 Our tour was AMAZING & our tour guide Bernardo was even better!! He gave us so much information about the food, location, & history! 🌮 🍺 We stopped at 6 local spots (tagged below) with food & drink selections picked for us. Our favorites were definitely the al pastor quesadilla & the nutella filled churro 🤤 This is definitely the perfect excursion for the foodies!

We lucked out and ended up with a private tour with Gio. We had a fantastic time and the food was amazing! I would describe the tour as "being shown around PV by a friend". I cannot recommend Vallarta Food Tours enough! Pro tip: get the drinks package!

Highlight of our trip. Bikes were easy to ride and let us explore. Still dreaming about the carnitas taco. Homero was an amazing local guide. Would never have found these gems without tour.

So many delicious and varied street tacos on the evening taco tour (and churros, and a cocktail) that we were busting at the seams! Small group setting with other nice people, well-run and organized tour, amazing guide Bernardo! and many sights and sounds as we walked between the stops. Even hopped on a city bus at one point. It was a great evening out, very memorable. Highly recommend!

We did the evening taco tour. Chris was our guide and he was excellent. He told us the history of all of the taco establishments and made great recommendations on what to order. We made six stops for tacos, one for churros and the final one for a cocktail made with raicilla at The Tasting Room. All of the tacos were so delicious and had it’s unique quality. I’d definitely recommend this tour and would do another with the company.

Excellent tour! Highly recommend! Our guide, Luis Alba, had an encyclopedic wealth of agave knowledge that he shared with passion and humor. His information and guidance as to proper technique to enjoy each item to the fullest were invaluable. The tastings were perfectly structured as to pairings of food & drink. The places we visited were not necessarily places we would have found/visited on our own. But they were, one & all, delicious. From the 3 table hole-in-the-wall, to the rooftop dining, each experience was absolutely enjoyable. Be prepared to walk on cobblestones though. So make sure to wear comfortable shoes. 10/10 for us. We'll go again when next we're in town!

We booked a private van tour that mirrored the public one. Our guide was Joanna and she was great. Very knowledgeable and personable. It was clear the people running the restaurants liked her. Before each stop she described the food and the history of the restaurant between stops. She also was very good about any food allergies or preferences. There was a nice selection of traditional and new fusion type restaurants. Would definitely do it again.

Alcibiades was a wonderful tour guide. He is incredibly knowledgeable and very kind. The food was amazing and they take you to parts of the town you might not see on your own. It was the perfect amount of food, drink, and sweets. I would HIGHLY recommend this be part of your stay in Puerto Vallarta.

Boyfriend and I did the evening taco tour with Manu. He was incredibly friendly and informative and it was great to walk around the city to get more familiar with the area and of course all of the tacos were delicious. We ended up coming back to a few of them later on in our trip because they were so delicious. I would recommend this tour for anyone visiting not only for the food but just to walk around and get to see more of the beautiful city!!

Homero was a great tour guide! He made the experience fun and was very knowledgeable about each of our stops. I have eaten many tacos while traveling through Mexico, but his choices of stops were better than anything I have had before! I would absolutely recommend you try bicycles and tacos for a unique way to learn about Puerto Vallarta!

This tour is a must-do when visiting Puerto Vallarta -- it's a food/drink tour and history/walking tour all wrapped into one. Extremely knowledgeable and fun tour guides (what's up, Bernardo!), and flexible and responsive administrative team. I worked with Paul to build a custom tour for a group of 16 people, and he put together an amazing experience for our party. We split into two groups as to not overwhelm some of the smaller, authentic, and historic eateries we visited. The tour guides really made us feel like locals, and we loved every tasting and drink. Would definitely book this tour again!

This was an excellent food tour—the highlight of my trip! We tried street tacos, a juice bar, saw tortillas made, a local candy maker shop, learned fun facts about the area and Mexico. Our tour guide, Sylvia, was awesome—high energy, fun, personable / attentive, very knowledgeable about the area and all of our stops. She kept us on time, organized, and well fed—so full by the end! (They’re not lying when they say to show up hungry!) highly recommend this your, or any tour with Sylvia to be honest— the guide is makes the tour entertaining and informative. 100%

My wife and I had a lovely time on the Original Downtown Taco Tour. Our guide was Sylvia and she could not have been better. She was knowledgeable and bright, entertaining and funny. The tour itself was excellent and we tasted several signature dishes at well-established vendors, all excellent. Online booking was easy and worked flawlessly. We highly recommend Vallarta Food Tours and especially Sylvia!

My family and I took their Vallarta by Road tour and had such a wonderful experience. I believe our guide was Fernando (?) and he made the trip so interesting and informative. We had a van that brought us to each location, which was very comfortable and accessible. Their level of service is top notch and would highly recommend this tour to others looking for a food tour. It’s great to get off the beaten path and visit small, local, and family owned restaurants and their amazing cuisine.

🫤 We booked the 4X4 Canopy Adventure excursion through the cruise line to get transportation included from the port to their storefront. It was around a 10-15 minute drive. Once at the storefront we signed multiple waivers and then got on an open air vehicle/truck/bus. From there it was about a 45-50...
