Nice beach to come to, less people to relax and enjoy with family and friends. You can rent the chairs or bring your own. You can rent a golf cart to get here but you can also walk from the hotel area, it's about 12 minute walk. You will have to pass the cemetery to get here, you'll know it's the right way. You can eat, drink and relax at this place. If you're in the area, make this one of your stops.

Defenetly the best beach from Sayolita. Bring your beers and snacks, you have there some vendors also. How you get there? Revolution street, make a right and keep the coast till villa amor, after that make a left next to the cemetery and down to the beach! Lovely place for pictures, good shade, nice people all around and the water is nice and clean...also the beach!

Beach was a good walk in Sayulita and literally have to walk through a cemetery to access the beach, hence the name Playa de los Muertos. Be prepared to pay in order to get some shade beneath your head. Restroom, which also you need to pay, were not desirable at all. So if you have kids, take a note of that. Beach was awesome though, not rocky and could walk pretty inwards.

A short walk from Sayulita you'll find this beautiful beach. The white sand beach has a roped off designated swimming area, but be mindful of the tides as the current might be too strong for novice swimmers. There are rocks framing both sides of the beach with lush vegetation filling in behind the beach heading back inland. Friendly vendors walk the beach. If you're in the mood for shrimp 🦐, a cool drink 🍹, or donuts?! 🍩, they have you covered. If you forgot your umbrella and chairs, or just don't want to bring your own, you're in luck! You can rent a spot right on the waters edge. Otherwise just set up wherever, just be respectful of folks who arrived before you 😉. There are two primary ways to get to the beach. Google Maps will show you both, depending on how you plan to approach. For most people it's easiest to approach from Sayulita on foot. Walk the waterfront of the main beach, past the fishermen and follow the road until you get to the small hill up to the (beautiful) cemetery. Just follow the hill down and you can see the beach from there. If you want to drive, there is paid parking (Mex$100).

I feel silly for never having explored this little beach until a recent visit. Exceptionally clean and not crowded, with privacy to be found as well. Expensive but necessary beach bar at the entrance. Cute walk there too. Parking for 50 cents if you drive.

Great alternative to the busy main beach in Sayulita. It’s a beautiful area with a sandy beach with a dedicated swim area that is surrounded by rock outcroppings.Short golf cart ride from town or a 15-20 minute walk, follow the bay around to the beach. It’s 100 pesos to park a golf cart or car, you have to pay to use the port o potty, there is also an area before the beach where you can buy beverages and snacks. The cemetery is very unique and colorful.

Our favorite spot in Sayulita. You can rent two chairs and an umbrella for 300 pesos and have food and drinks delivered to you all day long. Beautiful beach, close to town and perfect if you want to swim and do not surf (which is our case) - lots of locals and families, we loved it !

The beach is somewhat separated from the main beach in Sayulita. Less crowded and still with nice waves. You have to go through the cemetery to get here, which adds a nice touch.

Much less crowded than sayulita beach and often easier swimming. No chance of colliding with a surfer. But beware, I was stung repeatedly by sea lice while swimming at this beach in early February which is out of season. Not just under my swimsuit as is usually the case, but all over my body. Very itchy and red bites. Wearing copious greasy sunscreen seems to help reduce the amount of bites.

This Beach is smaller than Sayulita and located in a much nicer cove however, keep in mind, there is a gang that operates the beach and charges $100 for parking cars or golf carts, $10 pesos for the bathroom, $400 pesos for umbrella and 3 lounge chairs and constantly offering you drinks. Make sure to pay upfront for anything you rent because if you don’t they will charge you a higher amount upon leaving. If you don’t pay the higher amount they ask they will harass you and threaten you. They had like 6 other guys surround us if we didn’t pay the higher amount. It’s very sad that these gangs get away with this. Tourist support the Mexican economy yet they do this and leaves you scared to return. There are a lot of sellers as well who will offer you stuff every 30 seconds.

I liked the privacy of this beach. We came during rainy season so the beach water was a bit dirty but I feel like this would be the beach to go to during the off season. It has a great little bar that serves u on the beach. Parking was only 100 pesos. Highly recommend the golf cart. It's easier to get around.

This beach feels like a private beach because it's between 2 rock formations. It feels very exclusive, the water is so beautiful, & warm. When I went there, there was not a lot of people. It doesn't get too crowded. At least not when I was there. There's a row of umbrellas with chairs, & you can rent them out for $300 pesos & you can also get seafood & drinks taken to your spot. I loved this beach. It was my favorite spot in Sayulita. I can't wait to go back. I miss the sound of the ocean waves & how peaceful the environment is. It was heavenly.

Definitely less touristy than the main beach! Stop at the beach hut (after passing the cemetery and before arriving to the beach) for gigantic & super strong margaritas for only 170 pesos.

The cemetery is very unique especially if you are unfamiliar with Mexican cemeteries. The beach is nice to escape the crowds of Sayulita.

Way better beach than the main beach - especially if you have kids. Chairs and umbrella for rent at 300 pesos. Beach service for drinks and snacks plus massages.

Small, lovely and quiet beach. There is a lifeguard and umbrella rentals available. It was not crowded and free of beach vendors. If walking, the dirt road goes through a small cemetery thus, the explanation of the beach name.

Beach is smaller than Sayulita and located in a much prettier and greener area. However, keep in mind, there is a gang that operates the beach and charges $100 for parking cars or golf carts, $350 for umbrella and 2 lounge chairs and constantly offering you drinks. There are a lot of sellers as well who will offer you stuff every 30 seconds.

Great beach that is worth the effort to get here. Less crowded than main beach. Lots of shade and palm trees. This place looks exactly like what you think about when you think "tropical beach".

My favorite beach in Sayulita to chill out. It is small and quiet. It can also get busy, so get their early. There are services on the beach. You can get drinks, food, candy, donuts, pastries, cotton candy, etc..

My wife and I enjoyed this beach a lot more than the main Sayulita beach. It is about a 15-20 minute walk from the main part of town but way more chill and relaxing.

Wonderful little secret beach to get away from the busy larger beaches. It has everything you need from cold beer, food, chairs, umbrellas.

This place is very good!!! But you need to arrive very early , we arrived at 6:00am and it was beautiful, the way is very interested, you cross literally a cemetery

By far the best beach in sayulita we tried...getting there is a nice walk. The constant golf carts going by are kind of annoying. People stay an 8 minute walk away and then golf cart there, it's just bizarre and I'm almost embarrassed for them. If you don't have mobility issues just use your legs... you'll see more when you stop and actually absorb your surroundings, not zipping around mindlessly to the next thing you want to check off your list

Lovely beach with soft sand and calmer waves. Beach umbrellas and chairs are available to rent. Bar behind beach. Climb Over the rocks for a small secluded beach. Mountain blocks sunset so not the beach for watching sun sets

The beach is small but gorgeous. Water isn't crystal clear but the temperature is lovely. So not buy coconuts from the guys who come round offering food and drink. They give you the coconut water separately in a cup and the flesh in half the coconut flour 60 pesos. Rip off!

MUUUCH quieter than the main beach and the waves aren't as aggressive so swimming can be a little more enjoyable. Order a mojito from the bar as well. Lots of mint and super fresh.
