At first I was super nervous....Gerald, Dr. Hidalgo were amazing and put me at ease right away. This hospital is beautiful with amazing views! The nurses were great! Even if they don’t understand you, they will get someone that does. My favorite nurse was Brenda, she was hilarious! Whenever I pushed the nurse button, my wait was less then a minute!! I would come back here in a heart beat! The drivers were also great!! I recommend this over and over again!

Dr. Hidalgo And his whole team were absolutely incredible! Being 33 and extremely overweight I knew I needed to do something. Paying cash in America was going to be around $11,000 and they send you home same day. The Weight Loss Team was half the price, double the care and all with beautiful beach views. I have recommended them to many people who are thinking of weight loss surgery. Amazing trip, great help and loved that Gerald set up the surgery, hotel and our transportation! Very helpful answering questions once we are back home! Surgery was 3/28/19 and I’m down 35 lbs and still going strong! 💪🏽

I have nothing but great things to say about my experience with Dr. Hidalgo! I was more than nervous going to Mexico to have a life changing surgery, but the organization of Gerald setting everything up with transportation and hotel accommodations made things so much easier. I did not have to worry about anything as everything was taken care of. The hospital was nice and cleaner than any other hospital I have been in the States. The care at the hospital was the best care I have ever received, not exaggerating. The nurses were always on top of my pain and nausea meds. My incisions were smaller than other people I have seen who have had surgery elsewhere and are healing nicely. The surgery is no walk in the park, however, the care I received was top notch in every area. Thank you Dr. Hidalgo and the entire team!

I had gastric bypass surgery in June 2017 and have made fantastic progress losing over 130 lbs in the past 9 months. Dr. Hidalgo was great and took time to answer all my questions, both before and after. The hospital is modern and clean - what I would expect from a US facility - and all the staff were great. I flew home before my stitches were completely healed, and Dr Hidalgo provided me with great follow-up care even from a distance.

My husband and me went to Vallarta because my husband needed the surgery. The surgery was on 10/30/20 with dr. Hidalgo and this was the best decision that my husband did because everything changed for better outcomes. Gerald and dr Hidalgo are an excellent team together with the hospital. The hospital’s service and staff are very with many attentions. Also, Gerald had a good communication with us . After that my brother went to Vallarta to do the same

The team and hospital staff were amazing, and knowledgeable. The hospital was cleaner then some of the hospitals in Canada. 4 days after surgery and 2 of my sutures are healed not leaking any liquid and the others are not far behind. The support has been fantastic!

I'm about 10 days out from sleeve surgery with Dr. Parra and Weight Loss Team. I'm feeling great! I really appreciate how organized they are - it was so nice to not have to worry about any logistics. I just let Gerald handle booking my hotel and transportation and everything went smoothly! Highly recommend.

Everything about our experience with Dr Hidalgo and his staff was perfect. Wife and I both traveled to PV to have the surgery in Feb 2022. We were very well taken care of from the moment we left the airport and met our driver Luis. Gerald kept us informed and took care of all the arrangements for transport and hotel. My 2 boys daughter husband daughter in law and my grandson all made the trip from the US to Puerto Vallarta. We rented an Airbnb. Not only is the area breathtakingly beautiful, from start to end the experience and professionalism of the entire experience was flawless. We were picked up at the airport by Erik who is bubbly and knowledgeable taken to our home away from home. Gerald was in touch from the get go, we were transported to the hospital, always ahead of schedule. The staff, nurses and physicians were amazing! Dr Parra spoke to us and put us all at ease. His bedside manner is second to none. The staff was awesome they were there quickly anytime I had to call for them. As far as the procedure, it’s surgery to say it was painless would be crazy, I’d say more like uncomfortable. But they all made sure I was well taken care of. I highly recommend CMQ Dr Parra and his staff. I am excited to see where this new body will take me from here on out.

I was terrified about having surgery for the first time ever and especially WLS. Gerald was very informative and always answered all my questions. The hospital and surgical team were very supportive, friendly and kind. I am from the US and I can honestly say this was the best treatment and service I have every received. The facility was not only clean, it is beautiful too! Their is a nice veranda to get your walking in after surgery . The nurses and all hospital staff were courteous, caring and well organized. I was very impressed. Dr Jovanny knew how nervous I was while taking me back for surgery and kept rubbing my pinky to console me. Such a sweet gesture and great bedside manner from all! After many years of contemplating WLS, and a year of researching different clinics in Mexico, I landed on the Weight Loss Team, and I'm so happy that I did! From the moment I decided to take the leap into a healthier me, Gerald was there to help if I had any questions. He was always pleasant and easy to work with. And, having him take care of all the logistics for me in PV, relieved so much on me, especially since I was already nervous about the surgery and not having to make these arrangements made it easier to deal with my emotions. Fast forward to making it to PV, we were greeted by the amazing Erik! Who was so very kind and friendly. Such a jovial and happy man, which really set an amazing first impression to what my experience was going to be like going forward. My hospital room was nicer than some hotels I've stayed in. Nursing staff were friendly, although there was at times a language barrier, but this was overcome with Google Translate. Down in the pre-op area I met my surgical team, and what an amazing team! So friendly and happy, and simply made me feel comfortable. I can't thank them enough for just putting me to sleep without warning, because I'm not great at being put under :-). Waking up in the recovery room, I wasn't feeling good, and having Dr. H rubbing my back just showed such care and compassion - thank you, you have no idea how touching that was for me. I could go on forever about my amazing experience with Weight Loss Team, but I don't think there are enough words to express how happy I am with my decision to choose this wonderful team! Thank you Weight Loss Team for everything - and I can't wait to see you again!

If I had to do this all over again I would not hesitate. Absolutely a positive experience all the way around. Staff at the hotel, drivers, hospital cleanliness, nursing care, all over the top and did everything to make the experience a positive one.

Dr. Parra, Gerald, and the rest of the Weight Loss Team did a fantastic job from start to finish. Based on my overall experience, I would definitely recommend their team for VSG and any of the surgeries they perform. They even diagnosed and fixed a hernia that would have had dire consequences. I had my sleeve done on 3/5/18 and I am already down 33lbs in my first month. Dr. Hildago and his team are the best. They take such good care of you and the hospital was so nice. My room was like a suite. My mom came with me and all the staff was just as nice to her. I didn't even know I had a hernia but Dr. Hildago fixed it right up while he was in there. Gerald is such a huge help with this process. I had a couple special needs with other medical issues and Gerald helped with getting my physician all the information she needed to be ok with me going to Mexico. I would recommend anyone to use Dr. Hildago 250%. The best decision I have ever made to start breaking the chains that have held my body hostage. I stayed several extra days at the hotel after surgery so we could do a little sightseeing. The hotel is top notch and the driving service is too. So if you have the time and money, turn your surgery into a little vacation. I can't wait to go back, I am now a big fan of Puerto Vallarta. 💜

I had a great experience with the Weight Loss Team. I had a revision from sleeve to bypass on 08/15/22. Before going into surgery I had join their FB group, where a lot of question and concerns were answered by Gerald Witt. I was very impressed when Dr. JF Hidalgo reached out to me and answered my questions. Surgery went well with no complications. Acid Reflux is gone and I can see the inches disappering. Yes, the weight loss is much slower than the sleeve, but the inches makes the differences.

Dr. Parra was exactly all the things you need during A GSL revision surgery. He is super involved with your personal health information knowing your medical history and his confident, calm communication style puts your mind at ease. I had almost no pain at all and needed very little pain management post op. After the surgery I received a mini video clip of the actual surgery and Dr. Parra explained the surgical process including the correction to a prior GSL surgery not done through Gerald Whitt Weightloss Team. Dr. Parra explained the fix to my previous pouch and the new revision procedure which was very comforting that I know how much weigh loss success I can expect with following the post op diet. I would only refer Dr. Parra from the Weightloss Team after having experienced an unsuccessful GSL first at another bariatric clinic. The video of the surgical procedure creates an ethical transparency that is worth everything! Thank you Dr. Parra for you excellence.
