Just had a surgery 5 days ago. Dr. Sergio was communicating well with me before I had the surgery. He had a phone conference with me and explained about the procedure, then he send me the diet that I had to follow before my surgery. I met with him at his clinic the day before the surgery and he explained about the surgery further and told me that if he found that I have a hernia during my surgery , that he will fix it for an additional charge. I was pretty sure I didn’t have any hernia but I agreed. The 5 laparoscopic cuts where a bit larger than I anticipated. But they are healing well and I had no infection. The hospital was nice and clean. I didn’t feel that the nurses cared much. The nurses were not Dr.Sergio’s nurses they were hired by the hospital that he performed the surgery at. Over all he is a good surgeon and my operation was successful and with out any complications. Thank you 😊

Dr. Sergio Del Hoyo is a fantastic caring physician! This was a scary procedure for me but once I talked to him I did not worry about a thing. The hospital and staff are great as well. My recovery was a breeze I was alittle sore but that is expected. Other then that I would highly recommend Dr. Del Hoyo!

Amazing doctor !! He help me and had time to do a surgery the day after I had a consultation with him ! after years of having bad abdomen issues and bad pain , could hardly ever pass gas , and always felt like I had so much pressure pushing into my chest that made my heart beat fast and hard to breathe often , and I had tried hundreds of doctors and different in Canada where they always say everything is normal when it’s not !! This doctor was ready to help me just like that and to go look inside and find the problem !! And so I had a bent colon on my upper left colon which he released and I also have extra long colon in my sigmoid colon , which he can shorten in future if needed , but this is next day of my surgery and I feel less pressure already ! And can pass gas again ! And he also treated me for irritable bowel syndrome for the next six months with pills that I can take home 👍, thank you doctor and your team!!👏🏻👏🏻👍👌👏🏻

I am one week post endoscopic gastric bypass revision. It’s been 20 years since my original open gastric bypass, which was very difficult. I had gained most of my weight back and developed severe osteoarthritis in my knees, making the additional weight debilitating. Even so this surgery decision was not an easy one. I was apprehensive and expected to suffer post op. To say that Dr. Sergio del Hoyo and his team are amazing is an understatement. Everyone was so kind and respectful. I was included in every detail of my individual surgery care plan pre and post op. The surgical team treated me like family, and all of them together entered my room afterwards to ensure that I was recovering well. It was a celebration!! And for me, a new lease on life. Dr del Hoyo has communicated with me frequently to inquire as to my well-being and give instructions and encouragement.My recovery, from anesthesia to now has been smooth and swift. My pain minimal. I have had other surgery experiences and I can honestly say that this one has been the best. I am losing the weight and I am eternally grateful.

My husband had gastric sleeve surgery September 2022, our experience was above and beyond what we both had imagined. The staff was very professional and kind, hospital was clean and his room was spacious. I even had a place to stay with him. The transfers to and from were on time, and the hotel was as clean, beautiful, and had good food(for me!)

Dr. Sergio and his team did a fantastic job on my gastric bypass surgery! They were caring and responsive to my comfort and needs. CMQ Riviera was the nicest hospital room I have ever stayed in! The entire package, Hotel, Hospital, Surgery, and Post Op care was supreme. As soon as I was in the hospital pre-surgery, a very competent team of doctors and technicians checked my health and prepped me. After a day in the hospital, I stayed two days (as part of the package) in the Hotel right on the Plaza Neptune and walked every day around the marina boardwalk among the yachts and other wonderful sites. There was really no pain to speak of. It’s been a week and I am off the diabetic drug and dropped one of my blood pressure meds already. BP is 117/72 this morning! AND I AM NOT HUNGRY! I feel like I have my life back. I would suggest this surgery to anyone feeling the stranglehold of weight comorbidities and pre-diabetes! But especially I would suggest Dr. Sergio, who has stayed in contact and advised and helped after the fact. It is a great and caring team, including his wife who is the anesthesiologist. Truly lovely people! FIVE STARS all the way!

I was a bit skeptical about having surgery but I met a lady on the plane last year that had just had it done and followed her journey. She gave me all the info and no small amount of guidance. I felt well taken care of from the first time I spoke to Dr Sergio. He answered all my questions very quickly. He made sure I was well prepared and feeling confident about surgery. The facility is absolutely beautiful, exceptionally clean and the entire surgical team were wonderful! I was up walking around the unit within a couple hours and I was back at the condo the next day. I am so thankful to have found Dr. del Hoyo and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

The doctors and nurses were tremendous. We can not say enough about their compassion and professionalism. Dr. del Hoyo was always available for questions and answered all questions in a timely manner and in a manner we could understand. Dr. del Hoyo works with a very competent team including Dr. Hernandez and when a complication arose on the operating table there was no hesitation in terminating the surgery and seeking answers to the problem. The entire team contributed their expertise in solving the problem and as a result surgery was successfully completed at a later date. Dr. Sergio de Hoyo and his team are fantastic! The hospital is a modern facility and super clean! My husband was able to stay with me the whole time. I arrived from Canada and my Spanish is not very good, most everyone was able to speak English to me. I met Dr. Sergio and my Anesthesiologist before my surgery and they made me feel very comfortable. My name is Veronica and I’m almost 58 years old, I’m very grateful to Dr. Sergio del Hoyo for the gastric sleeve surgery he performed on me April 2,2023. It really was the best decision and investment of my life because I’m diabetic type 1, for many years I have been struggling with my glucose control, but after the surgery it has been easy to control my sugar levels. Now I use less insulin than before the surgery, I eat less food and I’m satisfied with less food, my physical appearance has also improved a lot, 20 days after surgery I have lost 16 pounds, it’s makes me very happy because before it was impossible for me to lose a pound. Hello, I had surgery with the doctor for almost a week, everything went well, thank God and having doctors like Dr. Sergio del Hoyo. The arrival was fantastic and they was waiting to get to the hotel to rest for the next day to have surgery. Not forgetting also that the doctor did a great job by doing a bypass revision since the first time it didn't work for me, hopefully today it did, but everything was fine and he also had me remove my gallbladder at my request. thank you very much doctor I have no words to thank you and your great team
