Croc Viewing Area

Zoo

👍👍 Such a cool opportunity to see American Crocodiles up close. There’s a tall fence so it is safe. We were about 3 meters away from a croc. Incredible seeing these animals rest and float in their habitat. A worthy stop on the way to the seafood restaurants on the beach. People often mention crocodiles, beach, fence,

There are always crocodiles here in this area. It's nice because there is also a small house nearby that sells coconuts and chopped cucumbers and other simple foods to eat as a snack. There is no cost to do the crocodiles. It's just a stop along the road to the beach that runs alongside the airport.

It is basically just a fence with warning signs about crocodiles on the side of the road. Lots of big crocodiles on the other side of the fence though. Cool thing to see if you want to see Crocs.

We walked from the airport to the beach. Enjoyed lunch on the beach and went down the path behind the restaurant only to stumble on the Croc viewing area. What a treat! Someone was feeding them fish, they loved that. Another gave them tortillas and they loved that too.

Easy way to view American crocodiles. They are extremely docile in the afternoon sun. It was easy to negotiate ride share service to stop for a quick viewing and picture in the way to the beachfront Ramadas.

I must admit it is a drive that you do not usually have to do. It is about three kilometers off the main highway, dirt road included. Once you get there it is well worth the drive, amazing crocodiles. There is a ten foot tall fence separating you, so don't worry you are safe!

Up close and personal. Really big Crocodilles. Seperated from you by a chain link fence. Worth the trip to Boc de Tomate. Stay for lunch/dinner or be one!!

Feels weird to give stars to this spot. It's just a place where crocs like to hang out and we humans get to see them. They're beautiful creatures.

Cool place to visit. There is a local beach nearby with great food. Just continue down the road a bit and tour there.

Love this experience! Always an adventure. Don't love seeing the holes under the fences but it's a risk I will take! #pv

A must see if your in the Puerto Vallarta area. We took a taxi there and then went down the end of the road for lunch. Best fish tacos around!

Was a hot day and the Crocs were idle. They were there, just not moving at all.

Convenient place to see some crocs. Didn’t stop at the restaurant, just looked through the fence for a bit. Nothing special, but worth a stop if you’re passing from Jalisco to Nayarit.

Today we experienced something incredible. The crocodile tried to attack my dog 2 times. It’s entertaining and fun but at the same time could be very dangerous. Those species are very heavy and rusted fens probably not the best protection, some parts even have holes in it. I recommend this place just be very cautious.
