Amazing Scuba outfit! We were so pleased with the professionalism and how fantastic all instruction was for our 12 & 14 y/o girls! Shout out for Ramsay! Went diving with PV Ocean tours and had a great time. Everything was easy, equipment in good repair, and had a stress free time. Marc was very communicative, especially after the hurricane and issues with roads etc.

Easy booking and solid enough communication through WhatsApp. Professional crew for 2-tank scuba dive. Small group. Dive was great. We got lucky with fantastic visibility during the winter. Short boat 5 minute ride from Mismaloya to Los Arcos. Much easier and comfortable than doing a long boat ride from the marina with other shops. I would dive again with them.

Marc and Bill were awesome. We did our scuba open water dive certification with them from start to finish (including the online portion). They were wonderful with answering any questions and going at a comfortable pace. We spent the most time with Bill as he was with us on the ocean dives, and he was absolutely wonderful. Bill went slow and never made me feel rushed when it came to practicing the skills. He was attentive and checked in often to make sure that everything was okay, I felt very safe. The ratio was 1 instructor to 2 students, which was perfect as a new student. We got to go to 4 unique dive sites over the course of 2 days and had 1 day practicing skills in the pool prior to being in the ocean. When we were out in the ocean, they provided a light lunch and water on the boat, which was great between dives. They followed PADI guidelines and were very professional. If you are looking for an adventure guided by great people, I would recommend giving them a call or messaging them on whatsapp. They are very responsive and happy to help before, during, and after the dive. Both English and Spanish communication are available.

We chose this tour because we wanted a smaller group and that's exactly what we got! We are beginner divers and having the one on one attention was great. Our dive master Marc was very experienced and knew the area (los arcos) extremely well. He pointed out wildlife we would have missed and made sure everyone in our small group saw it before moving on. Another thing we really appreciated was the clear and upfront pricing with no hidden fees for rentals, unlike some other tours we looked at.

This is a great scuba charter company. Marc and the rest of the staff were great. The boat ride was short because it started very close to Los Arcos Marine sanctuary, and the wreck dive. Launching from the beach was actually really fun. Beach launching is routine for all the boats in Mismalloya, A cute little beach town with very affordable restaurants and a close view of Los Arcos. We dove the wreck, which was really fun and didn't feel like 88 ft. We also dove El Aquario (the aquarium) at Los Arcos. Marc is very experienced, and is a great guide! Highly recommended dives, crew, and prices!

We had a great time snorkeling with Jesús and Captain Chuey! They took us out even though it was only two of us and made it a great experience. We had originally booked online with a different place, but that tour ended up being full (the downfall of booking online). I sent an email to Marc and had a tour booked just a couple of days in advance. This crew really knows their stuff and I highly recommend them!

Marc, Ramsey and Chuy were amazing. I was super nervous as this was my first ocean dive after my open water certification in a lake. They were so patient and took the time to explain everything. While SCUBA diving, Ramsey stayed with me and did a great job pointing out amazing sea life to me. He stayed with me and on my first dive he held my hand, giving me the reassurance that I needed. The second dive I did it on my own but he was by my side the entire time. My husband was snorkelling with Chuy and Marc was there certifying two new divers. It was great listening to him with the new divers going over everything that I had learned during my OWC back home. Marc made sure to do a safety check with me which was great, BWRAF. If you are in PV and want a wonderful experience diving or snorkeling, PV Ocean Tours is the place for you. During the time my wife and I were in PV, we were able to go diving and snorkeling with this company. They took their time in answering all the questions we had, and made the outings very enjoyable. Alun and Marc make a great team. They make sure everything is taken care of and everyone is safe throughout the entire trips. They had plenty of dive guides for the amount of people going on the dives. We were able to see some sting rays, multiple sea turtle, and a variety of aquatic creatures. During my first trip out, they were able to get me in on a deep dive to a wreck which I really enjoyed. Another aspect I liked was how they went through the dive itinerary with us prior to getting in the water. This allowed everyone to be on the same page. If I ever get back down to PV I will be using these guys again for some more adventures in the water.

We had a great time scuba diving PV with Marc and crew. We saw some really cool underwater creatures on the dive and I really enjoyed Marc's professionalism as this was my second dive after receiving my open water certification. I look forward to getting back down to PV and diving with PV Ocean Tours.

We had a group of 6 with half divers and half snorkels. We also wanted to add in a waterfall hike, making it a full day and a private tour. They were prompt and curious with all communication. The trip started right away with a 5 min boat ride to our first drive/snorkeling site. Mark and Chewy pointed out all kinds of fish and sea life. The whole team was great with the equipment and helpful with questions. Then you for the great trip!

Outstanding Day of Scuba Diving & Snorkeling! When planning my family's time in and around Puerto Vallarta, I knew we'd spend a day scuba diving and snorkeling but I had no idea who to hire. So, I read a bunch of reviews on Trip Advisor and reached out to four of the best reviewed outfits. From the moment I reached out to PV Ocean Tours, Alun - one of the owners - was incredibly responsive, patient and informative. I had a lot of questions about dive locations, whether PV Ocean Tours could accommodate both divers and snorkelers, pricing, etc. etc. Alun very patiently answered all of my questions over multiple emails, which gave me the confidence to hire them for our outing. Eight of us (4 adults, 4 children) met Marc at Playa Mismaloya for what turned out to be an absolute highlight of our trip to Puerto Vallarta. I've been diving for many years, so I've interacted with a lot of different dive operators all over the world. Marc is that unique combination that I try to find when planning a dive trip of: serious about safety, very experienced, highly knowledgeable about the area and dive/snorkel site options, friendly and kind, and laid back. He and Chuy, a dive instructor, were just fantastic to dive and snorkel with. They immediately made us feel comfortable and excited about our day together. One of our group - my 10 year old son - was considering trying out a shallow dive at Los Arcos and Marc deftly met him exactly where he was. There was no pressure, no goading, no guilting. Just encouragement and reassurance. And when my son decided that he wasn't ready to try diving quite yet, Marc happily and without hesitation jumped in the water with him and the rest of the snorkelers for some excellent snorkeling. Marc even repeatedly dove down to point out unique, harder to spot sea life to ensure that the snorkelers saw everything there was to see. Chuy, who joined the divers for our dives at both Los Arcos and Majahuitas, was fantastic. He helped me address an ill-fitting mask on our first dive, appropriately checked in with us to ensure that all was well, pointed out some fantastic sea life and debriefed with us after the dives. For me, our dive at Majahuitas was the better of the two dives. We saw -- and hung out with - two beautiful turtles at about 45 feet. We saw a blue ray, colorful coral and lots of fish. PV Ocean Tours even incorporated a trip for us to a fairly remote small town where some of our group hiked to a waterfall and swimming hole, while Marc hung out and talked with us about his life in Puerto Vallarta at a local bar. All in all, it was a wonderful day that we'll think fondly on for a long time to come. I wholeheartedly recommend PV Ocean Tours!

Great opportunity to learn or just enjoy a dive with comfortable leadership that puts you at ease and ensures you are well and safely looked after. I enjoyed enough that I booked again for later in the week with the same crew. If you have a question, they have an answer.. if you don’t know how to do something, they will explain until you do. I also appreciate the candid direction. “Don’t do xxx. We will not be able to help you and you don’t want that.” Which is something I have learned comes with folks who really know what they are about. Just all around pleasant and highly recommended.

My Husband Tom and I certified with Marc and his team. What an amazing experience. Tom had experience in the past but this was my first time to go through the process. Marc and Chuy were patient, kind, calming and encouraging. Marc seems to have a really good sense on reading people and helped me through those times when i nearly panicked and calmly helped me focus and stay on task. A definite recommend. We will be diving with them many times to come.

We had a great day on the bay with Marc and crew! We did the private tour and added on scuba for two of our party while the rest of us snorkeled or hung out on the boat. We saw some lovely fish and our divers enjoyed themselves as well! We took a hike up to the waterfall at Quimixto and then had amazing seafood at Los Conos in Las Animas. Marc was super knowledgeable and entertaining. We had some older folks on the boat with us and they took extra care to ensure their safety embarking and disembarking from the panga. We had a fill in guide due to an off boat accident of one of the other crew members, but Alexa was a welcome addition and fun! The captain was great too and very kind. Will definitely be a repeat customer on my next trip to PV!

My family and I had a great day with Marc and Chewie on a private tour. Two of us dove and 4 snorkeled, Chewie is a marine biologist and was very, very knowledgeable for the snorkelers. Marc was an amazing dive master, very patient and also knowledgeable about the area and sea life. The sandwiches they provided were also amazing, perfect midday snack! I also would really like to highlight this team was very LGBTQ friendly! Highly recommend!

Great communication. Theses guys are awesome! Booking was easy, quick response via email and phone. We had 1:1 ratio of guides and instructors on ocean dives days, felt safe and enjoyable. We Got PADI open water certification in 3 days +eLearning. Mom was also able to join on 2 of the days, who did intro to scuba. staying anywhere between zona romantica and mismaloya beach is an easy $5 taxi ride to meeting points. Im sure it depends on which dive you do, just ask Marc and Alun. They all were super helpful and accommodating and coordinated everything. Ramses our instructor, the best! We had plenty of time to hang out on the beach and have good food afterwards each day.

I had a great time diving and getting my open water certification with PV Ocean Tours. I selected them because Marc was way more responsive than the other shops I emailed in PV. The communication was great and he accommodated a special request without making it difficult or costly for me. He pointed out marine life throughout the dive that I would not have seen including nudibranch, octopus, seahorse, sea turtle, and led us to numerous eels, a couple eagle rays, urchins, and so many fish... Really fantastic choice for a PV dive.

Absolutely incredible experience. Alun is quick to reply to emails and get you booked for your adventure. Marc, Alex and Chuy are so fun to dive with. Each have different interests under the water so it's great to pair up with each of them. I did a total of 10 dives with PV Ocean Tours and each one was awesome. One of the best things is that they include wet suits in your rentals (3 and 7mm), along with all the other gear. The PV Ocean team loves diving and does their best to dive as long as possible and give a great experience to each person on the tour. I also got my PADI certification with Marc. The experience was perfect from the private pool lesson to my training dives. I will be back to dive with them again soon.

I went on six dives with Marc and his team- everyone was great. They are very knowledgeable about the region, and dive sites and about diving in general. He also took a group of 6 of my friends on Discover Scuba dives and was incredibly patient as people learned and they all were very comfortable and had a great time.

If we could give more than 5 stars we would. From the beginning, Marc and his crew were fantastic. From being prompt in responding to emails from the time we booked, all the way until the night before the dive, we were never left in the dark. 2 nights before the dive he sent us an email letting us know that there was a possibility of rescheduling because of bad wether. However, the night before he email and said we were good to go. The morning of the dive, we took a cab to the beach. It's a short walk to the beach where we meet Marc and the other divers. Marc asked us about our experience and our skill level. My wife and I are both open water certified but this was our first dive since COVID (1.5 years plus). Marc was excellent at taking care of us and helping to calm the pre dive nerves. In between the two dives he gave us some tips on how to control my breathing and we were able to dive longer on the 2nd dive. No matter your skill level, I would highly recommend PV ocean tours. They are accommodating on multiple levels and the customer service is 2nd to none.

Loved our dive tour. Marc and the Alex’s ;) were amazing. They were knowledgeable and informative while making you smile. Many marine life were crossed off our bucket list on the two day tour. My husband and I had an unbelievable experience with Ramsey and Marc of PV Ocean Tours. I had to get certified, having never dove before, and my husband has an advanced certification but hasn’t dove in over a decade. First, I emailed at least 6 dive businesses in the area and PV Ocean Tours was obviously the ONLY company who actually read my email explaining my situation. Most others would just put my husband through a more expensive and unnecessary process of doing the whole certification process. Instead, we got individualized pricing and treatment, while still being side by side throughout the experience. I was very nervous for the first pool lessons and the first dives. Ramsey was abundantly patient and helped me face my fears while still making the time enjoyable. Marc was professional while still being full of laughter and great stories. He helped me complete my certification, and get over my nerves to pass the skills required. I never felt like I wasn’t in the safest possible hands in two days of diving. From communication to value to just being great people, I cannot recommend PV Ocean Tours enough.

Not sure who is writing these reviews, but our experience was very different. We have done trips around the world and this was by far our worst experience. Diving is done from a fishing boat. Dive briefing was non existent, basically dive in and stay a few feet from guide and don't get separated. The diving in PV is not great, the reefs are dead and visibility is poor.

Marc and his team were fun and professional. An absolutely amazing diving experience!

Such a great experience with warm and welcoming staff. Perfect if you are completely new to diving all the way to being experienced. They also have great knowledge about the area so they’re recommendations are awesome.

We dove with a few shops in Puerto Vallarta just to see different staff and locations. PV Ocean Tours may not be big, but they are the best. Great service, customized dives, excellent staff, and the utmost attention to safety. I will dive with them when I go back. Marc and Chuy will give you the best experience in and under the water.

PV Ocean Tours were great! The staff - Marc, Ramses, Chuy - were all excellent. Great understanding of the area, process, and safety. Boat is small enough that you get a personalized experience, and the sites are close enough that you don't feel like you're waiting on the boat for long. Marc and Ramses have many decades of diving experience between them, and it shows. The price is right, and everything was seamless. Would happily dive with them again and recommend it to anyone reading!

Our group of 2 got our PADI open water certification with Marc and his team. He was very professional and also pragmatic, making sure we understand and apply the text book knowledge during our dives. Even after we returned from PV, he provided good service helping us chase down the mailing of our physical PADI cards. Highly recommend.

We just finished four great dives with PV Ocean Tours and couldn’t be happier to have found this scuba dive shop in Puerto Vallarta. Marc, Bill, and Chuy run a high quality operation in Banderas Bay, with small boats and a focus on safety and dives tailored to every skill level. Also, a hearty endorsement for scuba diving in Banderas Bay, Puerto Vallarta. The wildlife in the bay is unbelievable, with warm water and good visibility in the summer. In four dives, we encountered sea turtles, eagle rays, sting rays, lobsters, octopuses, eels, and fish beyond count. Booked an awesome dive earlier this week with the PV Ocean Tours guys. I haven’t gone diving in a few years but package came with refresher in addition to the two dives. Team made sure I was comfortable and confident before diving, and showed me some great spots that didn’t have too many other snorkelers or divers nearby. Dives were really fun, got to see a variety of species of fish, turtles, rays and more. Guys were also very knowledgeable about fish species, underwater life & could answer any questions… Was so enjoyable that I booked a snorkel trip for my partner and I a couple days following. Thanks to Marc, Bill, Chuy and Josh at PV Ocean Tours for the great experience! Will def be back.

My wife and had the pleasure of three days of diving with Marc and his crew. Lots of fun and great diving! Mismaloya beach is a cool little place and offers a fun experience launching the boat right off the sandy beach. Do note that if you are staying in PV (hotel district) then it is about. 45 min Uber/taxi ride. The flip side is that you end up with a super short boat ride. By the time we were finishing up our dive at each site it seemed the other boats were just showing up. We saw a ton of different sea life and would dive again with this crew anytime we might make it back to PV in the future. If you are a diver and going to be in PV be sure to schedule some diving with Marc and his crew!
