Nice beach! A lot less crowded with bluer water than the main beach at PV. We rented a table and chairs like the locals, and enjoyed the food the hawkers had to offer. Bring cash for snacks and toilets. The water is warm, the beach sandy-- overall an excellent experience. Easy to reach by uber! We paid too much for the table and chairs (400), but it was worth it for 4 hours and we're here to support the locals.

First actual beach I visited with my group in Puerto Vallarta. The beach was very nice and the sand was soft. The water was warm to the touch. Good place to relax away from the busy city. There are tables and umbrellas you can rent to use, but we brought our own. If you ever need a small snack at the beach, there are food vendors walking around with food to sell. Lastly, it’s simple to get back to the city from here — just ask the people who work at the restaurant there, Canto Palmares, to conveniently call a taxi for you.

What a clean beach. Water was so clean and clear. The sand was so smooth. Not a lot of vendors, only a restaurant on top. There are very clean bathrooms but $10 pesos per person. There are very comfortable benches at the top of the stairs, perfect to just lay in the shade and relax. There is FREE parking here. It's a very quiet place, lots of little sea creatures. Loved it here!

This is a decent beach located just outside of downtown Zona Romantica. The sand is soft and clean and the water is clear, clean, and fun to swim in. There are waves that vary in size depending on the time and day. The first time we came here, the waves were minimal, which was nice but then there were tons of jellyfish in the water which mildly stung us! A moderate amount of people and families can be found here. A few hotels line the beach and there is also one beachfront restaurant. We did not try the food there due to bad reviews but the drinks were decent. You can also rent an umbrella here (located by the restaurant in one of the small tents selling floaties). The price that I got was $250 pesos and the guy was nice enough to carry the umbrella down the beach for me to a secluded spot and he set it up in the sand.

One of the best beaches 8j Vallarta. It's calm and peaceful place. You can rent chairs at the beach and you can carry your own drinks and food. The sunset is perfect and you can see the clear water. Also there is a restaurant where you can eat and drink. Recommended beach to visit and enjoy a day.

Best beach in PV! Not overcrowded, and you can easily take the bus here. Restaurant and bathrooms here too! Water is amazingly warm.

Best beach in the area by far! Good sand, lots of room and it has washrooms, beer and food on the beach and a new full restaurant. Try the shrimp cheese and rice casserole.

The water is a nice color with good food nearby. There’s hardly anyone there compared to the beaches up north.

Beautiful quiet beach less than 20 minutes ride from the centre of PV. There’s one restaurant which takes card and another at the end of the beach to the right but only takes cash. Very clean and white sandy beach but the waves are quite strong.

Have a need to get away from the crowded beach while in Puerto Vallarta.. jump in your car or hail a cab and head south on highway 200 to beautiful Playa Palmares..along the hwy there's parking for around 30 car's, the beach is mostly sand with the odd rock, public washroom's and showers are available for $10 pesos, there's a couple of small restaurants with bars to enjoy a meal and beverages on the beach, for $300 pesos you can also rent an umbrella with table and chairs without the crowds. If you are looking for a relaxing beach experience this is the place. Quick and cheap bus ride south of PV. Not crowded at all with few vendors. Ice cream, shrimp on a stick and sweet breads were all that was offered to us... And only once. Soft sand, no steep drop off and warm water. From what we were told it's usually fairly calm waters here. However, the surf was a bit rough on the day we went but the lifeguard took the time to explain to everyone how to swim if caught in a rip current. We didn't find the current too strong and a lot of local kids were still enjoying the water. Our son doesn't know how to swim so he enjoyed playing in the sand, searching for sea glass, and and splashing in the shallows. They have public bathrooms for a small fee as well which is nice.

Nice beach with public washrooms at 10mp and table & chair rentals at 200mp. Accessible by bus. Bus will be crowded.

Great location in a beautiful beach. Staff is friendly and professional. Only reason for 4/5 is the food was just ok. Good, but nothing special

Delightful! From the drinks to the food. A wonderful place to spend the afternoon! This beach was one of our favorites. Our server was extremely attentive, kind, and full of recommendations! He even let me take a picture of his shirt, although it did not have his name once I clean up my suitcase I will edit this post to do so! Thank you for your hospitality!

Great beach, good sand, and wave action. Right by a bus stop. Not crowded, family oriented, locals. And a great restaurant by the beach.

This is one place on the coast you must see. Don’t let the opportunity pass by, you’ll definitely enjoy the calming waves and the stones brushing the foaming sand. Super tranquil, take care going into the crashing waves as they are strong and pull you in. Enjoy the sunset and relax. & Lots of space to park!
