This airport has outgrown its potential: it is too small for the amount of traffic I saw this past weekend. There were pretty hectic check-in and security lines. Transportation into the city can be very expensive since transportation apps are not allowed to pick up passengers inside the terminals. My advice is to go across the bridge to the restaurant called Tacón de Marlin. There you can asked Uber, any other app or regular yellow cabs to pick you up. They will be a lot cheaper.

As far as airports go, I give this one 4 stars, primarily because of it's destination. Anyone flying in is likely in a happy place in their life, being that tourism is the # 1 reason for being there. Best to schedule your flight to arrive early, as the crowds are thinner before noon. We've started flying out of Virginia late, spending the night in DFW for an early arrival so we can zip right through immigration and customs. There are a few ways to get from the airport to your final stop. If you know the airport and the surrounding area, you can walk out the front door, turn left and walk to the street to the bus stop. You can catch the bus or walk up the street to the right, just a ways and grab a taxi or an Uber. Or you can walk across the pedestrian bridge and call get a ride from there. The easiest way to go is to just go to the window in the airport and order a taxi. Uber is not allowed to pick up from the arrival point. The taxi prices are determined by zone. EASY peasy. Leaving PV can be quite congested getting through security. There's several decent restaurants and various places to eat, along with lots of souvenirs and duty free items. There's PLENTY of worse airports!

I really liked this airport! It is very small, but they will be building one more terminal soon. “This airport is still enforcing the mask mandate” you can not go to your gate until you have a mask on. Once you are inside seating at your gate, you can do whatever you want. It’s just for you to get in. Only thing is that once you arrive and pick up your bags, as you are walking out the airport, there are lots of sales guys trying to get your attention so they can sell you vacation packages, tours, rides, etc. Not the best place to buy any of it! Just keep walking, say “No thank you,” and don’t stop until you’ve reach an Uber or a taxi outside. It is pretty safe, no real harassment from the people trying to sell you things. The inside of this airport seems almost like a shopping mall lol. Lots of shopping stores, foods, tequilas, etc… Going through Customs was good too. Long line, but it was moving and as long as all your paperwork is filled out correctly, it will be quick.

Thank you for reading the Honest Reviews4u! This is a must visit place Puerto Vallarta! Beautiful green city next to the clear blue ocean beaches, rivers and waterfalls with friendly people and amazing food. 😍 This place has recently been very popular many American, Canadian, Germán and Asia tourists. Some who are very fortunate have even been able to work remotely at a company which reside in their country of origin and moved here! Many places to visit and explore the city is also known for its calm environment. In regards to the airport the staff were friendly and the inspection line I was in moved smoothly. 🙂 I highly recommend this place! 👍🏼

This airport is very nice, well-kept and they were pretty fast too. They have tons of little shops where you can get last minute things. I would recommend for you to buy souvenirs outside of the airport, because you are overpaying. The bathrooms were very clean which is always a plus. They also have food options like pizza, burgers etc. For those people who are TSA verified, there is no other special line for you. It’s kind of a small airport so there’s no need for that.

Functional but like most airports in Mexico, a bit chaotic and disorganized. Long distances through the airport might make this airport challenging for the less moblie. WiFi is poor No outlets available at seats in lounge areas Loads of stores selling gewgaws and chotskis . Food options abound

Was fast and efficient today! Beat Toronto or Montreal Airport by a looking ways. Of course, no Trudeau to mess things up here.

Nice and very clean for an International airport. Fast immigration control. Easy access to baggage but long walks- very mild cardio exercise. Helpful and friendly staffs. They have canines to sniff out illegal goods. Restrooms are clean. Not too hot nor too cold inside the terminal but making it a little cooler is better. My negative comment (less one star) is the aggressiveness of the taxi operators and their agents in the lobby of the arrival area. Too many of them. Bus stop is like 200 meters or so. $10 pesos only to most hotels with the ‘Centro’ bus. Good experience all in all minus the taxis.

Very fast and organized. The only problem was that we didn't have a pen to fill out forms and incredibly no employee had a pen!! Also, at the exit time shares sellers attacked you trying to get you.

Easy airport to navigate and an impressive amount of amenities. Straightforward, literally. VIP lounge. Coffee, starbucks and local. Food, local and chain restaurants. Souvenirs. Good build quality. Smaller, in a good way. Pretty kind service. The Covid testing area is open next to the airport. It is poorly ran and hard to communicate, even if using translate apps people don't really know what they are doing.

Overall a nice airport to fly in and out of. The arrivals area is quick and baggage claim went smoothly. Departures was a bit confusing because of which gate we went through. There were enough places to get food and enough seating. I feel like the airport would benefit from more charging spaces within the seating area. They may also benefit from more directional arrows. One thing I found a bit frustrating was that the airport announcements would come on at the same time that the airline was calling for passengers. Not really sure how that can be avoided though.

It was so quick and easy going through check in and the check point, nothing compare to Atlanta international Airport, which is always terrible.

Easy to navigate for signs in English and Spanish. A bit of walking once you arrive as well as when you depart to get to your gate. Beautiful and clean inside. Someone always keeping an eye on the restrooms. Very clean and upkept. If you are arriving have all necessary documents, passport ready so line goes faster. All employees are very helpful in guiding you for where you need to go. Once through security ( you don't need to take shoes off here) and all but before you get to the entrance there are a lot of sales men wanting to show you about condos etc. If not interested kindly say no Gracias and keep moving. Lol try to avoid eye contact. If you are needing a Uber you must exit to your left out of the airport. Continue around building and you will see a bridge that goes across the freeway. Cross over and go straight past the taco stand, barber shop and bus stop and you will see where ubers are.

Super busy airport. Could really stand to be bigger to handle the demands better and move more aircraft. There are a lot of line up to go though and it feels a bit crazy. The parking lot and pick up / drop off zone is a complete mess. Insane taxi drivers and mini buses everywhere. On the plus side the food options are reasonably priced and there are lots of little shops to explore.

There is a wheelchair waiting for me at the plane which took me to get my suitcase, go through customs and security. I was quickly wheeled outside to a waiting Taxi. It didn't take very long to clear through the airport to the taxi. I tipped our wheelchair man 150 pesos.

Small airport. Clean and easy to navigate. Security took only a few minutes the two times I've been here. Lounges are well maintained and there's a substantial duty free section. If you arrived and are wondering how to catch an Uber, the pick up is across the highway on the other side of a pedestrian bridge which is a pain to cross in the hot heat.

The airport is clean and easy to navigate. Lots of shopping and dining options. The climate control is inconsistent.

Awesome little airport. Lots of retail and food once passed security. Arrival was a breeze to. Well organised and great staff. Don't buy a beer at the bar outside. It will just annoy you how much you will pay for a cold one. Also you can't take bag carts very far after baggage pick up. You're forced to carry or hire a porter. Just be prepared if you have a lot of luggage

Quick and organized service, helpful and courteous staff. I was running late, but everyone was helpful in getting me through to not miss my flight. Also lots of good and reasonably priced food available to eat in or take out.

Didn't know what to expect, but it was great. Very efficient in both arriving and departure. Customs was a breeze. I mean they were diligent about their jobs, but it didn't take nearly the time I thought it would. Yeah, clean, friendly and efficient.
