Good place for snacks, vanilla and other souvenirs. Also sold swim suits, sand buckets and toys. Accepted US dollars or credit cards. Walking distance from cruise pier, about 2 blocks. Was very busy.

As a Canadian vacationing in Puerto Vallarta Mexico I expected a few differences due to the differences in culture's but I found it to be quite similar to Walmart's in Canada which was great to purchase within walking distance all the food supplies I am accustomed to purchasing at home. Had to throw in the photo of the pigeons shopping along with everyone else in Walmart. 😊

The convenience of a Walmart located right across the street from your cruise ship! Everything you need or forgot from snacks to souvenirs. Located between a mall and Sam's club. Parking is free and shaded.

Surprisingly good espresso available at the coffee place just inside. Don't get too excited, though, and go prancing around the parking lot unaware otherwise you might find yourself falling down one of these holes only guarded by a sideways shopping cart.

Thank you for reading the Honest Reviews4u! Stopped by this place today to stock up on some items. The location has plenty of parking space and it just like the state in terms on what they offer and sell. The store was extended well stock within products and items. Highly recommend this place if you ever need to stock up on any item.👍🏼

It was a nice, big Walmart but the checkout line stretched halfway across the store because cruise ships were in port. I would've liked to spend more time shopping, bit we didn't have the time due to the crowds.

This Walmart is located across from where the cruise ships dock and is very convenient to tourists. There are small vendors located under a large white tent on the parking lot that sells a little bit of everything. The ship staff recommended Walmart in case we needed items that are overpriced on the ship. Considering that Walmart is in Mexico, this store was well stocked with friendly people. Yes, there are a lot of tourists, but many locals are doing their daily shopping. Just like hom, Walmart sells a limited amounts of clothing, pharmacy item, and groceries. A very pleasant surprise and worth checking out.

This seems like a normal Mexican Walmart. A good selection of the usual products, but not a ton of "healthy" and hard to find imported products. Things we couldn't find there: cacao powder, almond flour, Bob's Red Mill products, real vanilla extract. The store is clean. As usual, lots of folks unpacking boxes and stocking shelves. Plenty of liquor and soda!

This is a massive Walmart that caters to the Mexican produce, but it still has the items you're use to if you're travelling from USA or Canada. This is a behemoth of a store even by North American standards. There is a large variety of fresh produce, fruits, pastries, meats and alcohol. If you need something you will 100% find it here. Stand in the quick lanes, they go immensely quickly, but do a world a favor and tip the grocery packers, they don't get paid wages. It is open 24 hours but it is almost always super busy. The prices are right, usually there's parking towards the back of the store. With a McDonald and a small food court with a seating area, you can't beat coming here. TIP: just outside of Walmart, near the bus stops you'll find taco stands, not the best, but great quick eats at 50 pesos for 5 you can't beat it.

Walmart is Walmart. It is a huge store and sells everything. From underwear to quads, you can get everything that you could possibly need. This store is visited by locals and tourists alike. They have a large grocery section with fresh produce, a large pharmacy section and of course lots of clothing with a nice mix of tourist and local styles. Would recommend this store. It is also kept clean and cool

It was not what it used to be. Totally unorganized, no pastries or fresh bead in the bakery, hundreds of customers in line to check out, only 3 cashiers. Self serv check stands loaded as well with one clerk running between the red lights trying to fix the problems. Waited 3/4 hour to check out. Was almost ready to leave it all behind. Then the craziness continued trying to get an uber. I guess the drivers have to pay minimum parking fee if they are picking or dropping off clients. One driver told us to walk out of the Walmart parking lot, lol,try doing that with a full shopping cart. He cancelled 😞 the ride . The next driver actually came. So my suggestion is to go to Soryoya, not 100 % sure about that name, but it's a very nice grocery store just across the street ( on the harbor side) . It's really a shame what is going on at Walmart. That manager really doesn't do his or her job,or perhaps THEY DON'T CARE.

Great store to pick up those items that you forgot to pack for your cruise. Great prices on snacks, drinks and booze. Easy to walk to from the ship. Take your own shopping bags they tend to run out. Taxis are available outside if you bought too much to carry back to the ship.

Very helpful staff. We used the self checkout and only had US dollars. Employee there helped us through the line and got us on our way. Very convenient location to the cruise port/terminal. It was a very busy location with a lot of registers to help its customers. Conveniently located.

Excellent. A buddy and me went in looking for ciders we had some difficulty understanding the deal they had on so asked the nearest worker who we guess is the manager. She gave us a free one to sample each and we bought 3 crates of the stuff. She also got a photo with us holding the ciders so we guess it is for promo or something. We didn’t ask for the photo but if you have it please get in touch because we would love to have it also.

Super friendly staff!!! I don't speak a lick of Spanish and they were just awesome!!! Management on the other hand should hire a few more people to man the tills. And the idea of charging 100 pesos to enter the parking lot is absurd!!! So Ubers will drop off and pickup by the bus stand on the main road in front of Sam's Club

Very long checkout lines. Product is not where is supposed to be. The shelves are basically empty but restocking boxes on the floor. Looks like the employees don't even try to keep the store neatly stoked up at Walmart Pitillal

Huge! Big selection of anything you need. I was amazed that they even had tires and motorcycles for sale inside the store! Awesome! Their prices are even better than Sam's Club, especially regarding alcohol.

It's a Walmart. They're all the same. I did think it was quite expensive for Mexico. But it has everything you could ever need like Walmarts do. I can't get excited over a Walmart hence 3 stars, there's nothing wrong with it though. It'll have whatever you need.

You can get almost anything here. Easy to access by the bus and they have plenty of parking. Most of your produces can be purchased here too.

Decent meat section but didn't realize they didn't have bags for sale or anything! Good thing I had a small backpack.

This Walmart in Puerto Vallarta was very foreigner friendly. We took a taxi there. In the store had some cute souvenirs just in case I didn't make it to some of the vendors. The prices were good. The t shirts and beach wear was majorily adult sizes a small selection of child sizes (elementary school age). None in smaller sizes. Seems as most soda contain artificial sweetener, regardless on the resort or in store.

The store is a bit pricy and the staff are not the most helpful. Language barriers is also a bit of a thing. Not sure if it was loading day, but lots of half unpacked boxes were just left everywhere. Besides the few cosmetic things, the store is well stocked with things that you will need. The shop is big, thus the lines are also long even at the self checkout counters.

In Puerto Vallarta and the customer service, selection and prices were great! What you would expect from any Walmart! I did have to use Google Translate to get help with a couple items though. It was a great shopping experience!

It's good for the simple necessities. Butcher shops are better for meat and farmers markets are better for fruits and vegetables if you can speak Spanish. Customer service has gotten really bad. They added self checkout for speed. But there's always a problem causing slow checkout.

Shopping at Walmart in Puerto Vallarta was a nightmare! Everything was labeled in Spanish and we had a hard time getting an employee who spoke English to help us. We needed Tylenol and it was labeled in Spanish. I spoke to various employees and only one knew English (or was willing to speak it). The store was very crowded and it felt like there was no A/C, and we waited 45 minutes in line to check out.

Easy walk from the pier. Except for the motorcycles, they have pretty much everything they have in the states, except most are brands you can't buy in the US.

  • 1/5 Joe P. 1 year ago on Google
Overall, the place is a dump. It's dirty and the shelfs are not well stocked. As usual with Walmart, there is not enough help and often long lines with not enough cashiers. I'ts ok if you want to save a few pesos and you don't mind wasting extra time and you don't care about getting no customer service.

Lacking lots of products. Too exp for the brands they offer. Just visit as a necessity. Local supermarket like La Comer offers more of a variety.

My wife an American was shopping at Walmart in puerto Vallarta. Guys in the parking lot that are the car washers agreed to wash her car for 500 pesos. When she came out they demanded 5200 pesos and threatened her and would not let her leave. I had to come down there and almost got into a fight as 6 of them ganged up on me. This is completely unacceptable for Walmart to let my wife be held prisoner and for me to have to be in gaged in a physical attraction because Walmart doesn’t regulate the terrible experience. Please fix this as we have enjoyed shopping at Walmart but will have to go elsewhere if you can not fix this problem. Steve Houts

Idk what it is about Walmart but yikes…I always come out of there feeling off. They over price a lot of the cleaning supplies… and don’t have that big of a selection. Oh and Do yourself a favour don’t use the washroom here it’s disgusting.

Convenient place to shop, you can find just about everything. Makes it easy when you have selected sections for fruits and vegetables, clothing, cleaning supplies etc.Its very busy that goes with the location, other than that a great place to shop.

  • 5/5 Alberto R. 1 year ago on Google
This location is nice and clean. We did not find what we were looking for but still a lot of things to shop for. Completely different from other locations in US or Canada. You can get a few things here if you go out of you confort zone! Good prices on alcohol and beer.
