Booking was a challenge, first they booked the wrong city that they booked the wrong dates and they booked the wrong return time. After driving around for an hour trying to return the car to the wrong address we were given we finally were able to get a hold of somebody in the call center. After begging and pleading for 25 minutes with us he finally agreed to send someone to the airport to meet us. Beware you’re not actually renting from them but they are a vendor/third-party.

Terrible beginning but happy ending. We waited over 45 minutes at PVR airport for a pickup with a 3-yr old and were told the rep 'was on his way'. This was a lie. They did not have our guaranteed (prepaid deposit) car and were stalling us. Finally, we got to Val Car (not City) for our car and it was dirty inside and had a soft tire which had to be immediately filled. We were told that City is the customer service arm of the operation, not the actual renting agency. This is not clear at all on the City website. The car was fine for the week and the return procedure was much quicker/less hassle. Overall, not a happy experience.

Great service 😍 they picked us up from the airport and brought us back to the airport on departure day. Awesome peeps! Silvia was our representative/agent. They even came to the hotel to exchange the vehicle when our brakes started to make noise. At no cost too.

I rented a car with a group. We had chosen City Car Rentals after reading good reviews. We were told our car would be available for pickup at 1230. We arrived at 1245, and found that our car was not available, and was still with the prior party. We were offered a smaller car for a 5% discount. Our other members had a difficult experience aa well. One of the cars did not have gas, and when they went to fill it up, they were gone for an hour. We spent 3 hours total waiting for two cars. We were not offered anything while we waited, and spent a long time talking to multiple off site representatives. Out on the road, we found that we had no windshield washer fluid. Overall I would not recommend this place. We had asked for a 50$ discount, and were offered a 5 percent discount, and still have not received it yet.

City Car Rental works with this subcontractor company namel Val Car Rentals. When booking your rental, they ask you for your flight number and the time you get there. My flight for my group of 16 arrived at 2:30pm, 40 minutes later they messaged me to tell me they were on their way. When the cars finally arrived, there was another group of people, who Val Rentals had sent the exact same cars for (the other group showed me the pictures they sent them). I wasn't going to argue, so i messaged them and asked them to send another driver. They said, we already sent your cars. I mentioned to them they had given the same car info to another group. 30 minutes later the other car came to pick us up. When we finally arrived at their rental place, Arely (who was both the driver and receptionist) was so incredibly rude. We had booked a large van for 16 people, she said they didnt have the van yet. We simply asked why, since the vehicle was confirmes. She answered very annoyed: "because the guy who is using it hasn't returned it yet, do you want me to go to the city where he is at to bring it to you?" We said we only wanted to know since we didn't want to take 2 cars. She said if you dont like it, you can cancel. I told her we have already booked it and we didnt want to move our entire group with luggage anywhere else. She said, well this is what we have and that's that. Then the charge was an additional $10 dollars, she said i dont know, i can only charge in pesos. Talk to your bank.I was in such disbelief that this is how they treat their customers because this place had good reviews. Save yourself a huge headache and choose elsewhere.

The service was good. We were picked up at the airport as promised and driven to the office to sign the paperwork. The cost of the rental included all necessary insurances. The car delivered was as described. All in all, I would rent from City Car Rentals again and already have plans to do so this summer in Cabo San Lucas.

Very attractive and polite the car rent was slightly high the fee was 1400.00 per day rental with out all the hidden fees, but the customer service A+ definitely

There was a limited selection when I called because I had not reserved in advance but the small ford I got was perfect for what I needed during my stay in Vallarta. Staff at the pick up location was very helpful along with excellent English skills....there’s no reason I would go anywhere else to rent a car when I come back to PV
