Best vacation experience I’ve ever had. This all inclusive high-end hotel turned out to be very inexpensive for what we received and experienced. Completely surrounded by mountains and only entrance made it safe to location. Its exclusive beach was kept clean and filled with thatched roof cabanas. We ate whenever we wanted because all the restaurants seemed open all the time. There's great 24 hour room service and being all inclusive nothing to pay just go wherever you want and eat whatever you want. They have an Asian restaurant, a large breakfast buffet building with tons of selections, an Italian restaurant, a Steak house, and a Mexican restaurant all at your service. They had a large number of amazing infinity pools all kept warm and crystal clear at all times, with comfortable lounge chairs both in and out of the pools. And the staff, where to begin with the staff! the service was some of the best I’ve ever experienced (and i'm a profession traveler of 35 years). Layout in one of the cabanas, order drinks or a club sandwich - whatever you want, they bring it to no questions asked and always with a smile on their face. Always friendly service with smiles, no ask is too much. Tons of activity available too like kayaking, and jet skiing, pool workouts, for both adults and kids, they’re professionally maintained and serviced by an excellent staff. We attended a spanish paella cooking lesson, excellent. Nobody one hounds you on it’s private beach trying to sell you goods because only approved and uniformed vendors are allowed to sell, and they never come up to you, they only show their available goods as they walk by and there's only two or three of them. No rouge sellers can get on this private beach because the only way to get in is through the only gated security entrance. When you’re ready to leave the hotel for your international flight they provide a free Covid test with results in 15 minutes so you can get it the day before your flight. Congratulations go to the Hyatt Viva management on the excellent system implemented here!!! We’ll be DEFINITELY coming back!

The Location is amazing. The hotel has beautiful views of the Ocean and pool areas with mountains surrounding it. The concierge at the front desk and the lobby staff were really good. We started to see a decline in the service from the staff at the main buffet. It seemed to our party that the staff may have been tired and hot and it showed with their body language and desire to serve patrons. In their defense it was quite warm and no circulating air. The food was pretty good for a buffet. Our experience at the Italian restaurant was not good. We waited at least an hour to get our food and it was extremely warm in the restaurant and we were not served water until we stopped the waiter and demanded water. We waited so long for our food that we had to ask what is taking so long for us to eat. I would rate the Italian restaurant 3 out of 5 rating. The restaurant Blaze was good and the service was so much better than the Italian restaurant. We rated Blaze 4.2 out of 5. Our Biggest issues came from our room. Our rooms AC was not cooling properly so our first night sleeping was not comfortable. The door to the patio would not close all the way so the little air we had would go out. The front desk did send someone to fix the AC, but it still had issues. Our last night I almost fell because the Condensation from the AC started dripping from the ceiling onto the floors so we had to place towel on the floor. We also had issue with the hot water not getting hot but that issue was fixed. Another issue was there were not many activities for adults to do, no parties etc. Overall we would rate this Hotel a 3.5 out of 5. We did hear the hot are about to start a huge renovation which is past due.

Also there is a sea turtle hatching area on the resort beach.where the turtles are let go to the ocean during the right times at evening.Im realy not sure how some of these peoples reviews are negative there are multiple restaurants with very good food. 4 pools.private pools.the grounds are kept very nice.and a beautiful beach.

If you’re on the fence about staying here after reading the reviews - do it. What really makes this hotel special are the people working there. 95% are so friendly and welcoming. Some stand out staff: Johanna from beach yoga in the mornings, Hector from Blaze who escorted us with an umbrella to a covered space when it was down pouring, Alejandro at the adult pool bar who brought everyone a round even after the bar closed because we were all still in the pool, and Arturo at the front desk. Others are right that the food is hit and miss. As a vegetarian, I found my best options for breakfast at the buffet, lunch at the buffet or at the adult pool near the turtle bar (order the nachos!), and Pureza (Asian) and Blaze (steakhouse) for dinner. Under no circumstances should you take food from the area near the Club Tower bar… it sits there for hours and is disgusting. For perspective, we met other people at this resort who are avid all-inclusive people and they said the food here is the best they’ve ever had at an all-inclusive. So it’s probably good to set your standards low. The beach is incredible. We were able to swim 3 out of the 4 days we were there. One day the waves were too big because a hurricane had passed by the area. The day after that we had the best waves I’ve ever experienced in my life! And the rest of the days they were average. The beach vendors are annoying but if you just say “No thanks” they will move on. We paid extra to be in the club tower with a jetted tub on the balcony and never used it because it looked so old and gross. It was clean but unappealing. It was also almost 90 degrees and muggy everyday we were there so we preferred to be in the beach or pool. The club rooms are worth it though for access to the premium liquor, but they don’t check if you are in the club rooms before serving you… Overall, this place is amazing and we would return again. The staff are amazing and once you find your groove with the food choices it’s worth it.

My family and I had an overall excellent stay at this resort during our six nights. The beach was very clean, with little seaweed, and the ocean was beautiful. The staff was very good alerting the guests of when to enter and leave the ocean, due to tides. The beach staff was excellent with a special shout-out to Ramon, our predominant server, who was very friendly. The restaurants were also excellent for an all-inclusive, with Blaze and Pureza being the favorites. All of the restaurants offered a diverse menu with great taste. Entertainment was also excellent at the Sports Bar with karaoke. Damian, the magician, was also a great entertainer with my family and I not being able to figure out his ways. I’d definitely recommend this resort to anyone, including kids and senior citizens.

My husband and I had a great stay here for our anniversary! We enjoyed that everywhere on the resort (including almost all restaurants) had a stunning view of the ocean. It was our first time at an all-inclusive and didn't have high expectations for the food, but it was great! Good portion sizes too, and only had a wait once, even when the resort stayed pretty busy. The reason for 4 stars is because of the room, and service being inconsistent. Our sliding door in the room wasn't sealed and had an opening to the outside, which kept it humid at all times. The AC which is controlled from your room does not then get to the temp that you set it at. Service was inconsistent, and seemed to depend on the day. There were times where housekeeping didn't restock things (water, toilet paper, etc.) that they had before (and were needed). Poor signage/announcements of hours of the bars and restaurants. There is one QR code they give you that has all this, but if you close out of it on your phone you can't get back to it via the regular website. Once we walked up to the bar, scanned the menu and stood there for a couple moments only for the bartender to tell us he was closed when we were attempting to finally order our drink. However, Arturo at the adult pool gave us 5 star service! Overall, I would go back, but would like to see service be more consistent!

I have traveled a lot but this place hands down gave me the best vacation of my life. Traveling with kids and a senior citizen is a lot to manage but the super friendly and helpful staff made the whole experience extremely smooth. From the amazing views from the room to the quiet beach which is just 5 steps away, from the world class spa to the authentic restaurants, from the infinitely pools to the numerous bars every step of the way this place offered more things than you can imagine. I read a review which talked about tipping so I’ll go ahead provide my view point on it. There were times I didn’t have my wallet on me so I couldn’t tip and there were times I so appreciated the extra touch the staff provided that I did tip them. However, regardless of being tipped or not their commitment and service was beyond expectations. From my perspective if I have spent thousands of dollars for this then spending another $100 over my stay on tips is nothing but it can definitely make someone’s day, specially when they feel appreciated for their job. I would give 7 stars if provided an option.

    1. Room After moving our trip twice to book a swim-up pool room we were surprised when we walked to our room and it was not a swim-up pool room. When we checked in the front desk staff did not tell us that there was construction happening and that we could not have the room we booked. Instead they 'upgraded us' and put us in a different room with a balcony, but slipped us a note that also said that we couldn't use the balcony from 8-6 every day due to the construction projects that were happening. Basically making our room a regular old room, with no view. When we asked to be switched to another room they said there was nothing that could be done, they were full. During our 5-night stay, we saw guests in swim-up rooms in the other tower, so we know at some point the rooms were available. There was nothing fancy or special about the rooms. They felt like a normal hotel room. On the third day, we were locked out of our room because our cards were not programmed for our entire stay. Security came within 30 minutes to let us in/ get us new key cards, but it seems like something that could have been completely avoided. The sliding door to our room wouldn't close, which made the noise from the construction even louder than it should have been. 2. Food The food was mediocre, and multiple restaurants were closed during our stay due to construction happening. My husband and I both got food poisoning towards the end of our trip. I also follow a gluten-free/dairy-free diet, I contacted the hotel and let them know ahead of time, and still had trouble communicating with the staff at the restaurants. While they say they can accommodate these diets, they need to provide more education and training for their staff on what food allergies are and how they can harm someone. Staff Although tipping is included, it feels like they are working extra hard for tips. Whenever you get up to leave a table they rush to say goodbye and it feels like they are looking for tips. If you decide to spend time in the beach chairs you will not get frequent service unless you tip after every drink. We were fine to get our own drinks most of the time anyway, and the beach was not very relaxing with people soliciting/ trying to sell you stuff (jewelry, blankets, hats, drugs etc) every 15 minutes. Overall There is nothing special about this hotel. It is not worth the money, especially when you do not get the room you booked. When we contacted corporate we were offered points. We would have rather had a refund, but that wasn't an option. We have friends who were supposed to go in August for a wedding and after we shared our experience they canceled their trip.

We paid a lot of money to spend new years eve in Hyatt Ziva. Today they presented the options for the big night. New years Eve is only included in the all inclusive If you eat Dinner between 6 and 7 pm. If you want to eat later you have to buy a bottle of wine for at least 2.000 pesos to be able to make a reservation in one of the Restaurants. The Information that you can eat from 6 to 7 without buying a bottle wine was just given after asking multiple times. Bad taste for Hyatt Ziva to make the guests feel comfortable for new years eve…and this for 800 Dollar a Night. First and last visit here.

Pros: - Private Beach - Beautiful Views - Wide variety of drink selection - 24 Hour room service - Rooms are spacious and nice - Excellent options of excursions and ride setups Cons: - Multiple restaurants had extremely long waits - The building was under extreme renovation - Weed whacking on a Saturday morning at 7 AM outside rooms - No towels at the pool area after 5 PM and front desk will also not assist in requesting towels for you - Order a beer from room service and the staff brings you 6. Try ordering 6 another time and they say the max they can do is 4 - Food was just ok Overall the place is beautiful with so much potential once the extreme renovations are complete. The staff did not seem to care quite like I’ve experienced at other all inclusive.

The good are the location and service. Awesome beach with wildlife and activities. It was beautiful and a lot of fun. The food was okay. The Mexican food was always excellent, but honestly I'd shy away from just about everything else. The Asian restaurant was plain bad, the Mexican restaurant and steakhouse were pretty good depending on what you order. A majority of the service was great. Front desk workers and most of the waiting staff were awesome. Occasionally you'd get someone who was a little rude or short but overall pretty happy with that. We stayed in a standard king, not the club side of the resort. It's pretty run down. The room was fine overall but nothing special. Needed paint and renovations. Tiny TV not that we really used it. The air conditioning is ridiculously loud and blasting 24/7 because it's unable to keep up with the heat. Our room would be 25-26*C much of the day and into the night even though we had the thermostat set lower. The elevators though... I didn't know I could hate elevators as much as I hated those. Most of the time it seemed like only one was functional for the whole building, and the one that worked was small, incredibly slow, and liked to close on people as they run through the doors, even if you try to hold it open. We spent a lot of time waiting for an elevator or climbing 8 flights of stairs because there was always a huge queue of people waiting. Wished we didn't get "upgraded" from our ground floor room we booked. We honestly never used a pool. They looked packed and small, but luckily the beach was excellent so there's no reason to, unlike Cabo (our other Hyatt all inclusive experience). All in all, I wouldn't mind spending a few days here again but would like to see some upgrades before coming back.

First the bad.. The room we booked (swim up suite) online was under renovation when we arrived. The manager gave us a ocean view room and knocked one night off which made us feel a bit better, but the only reason we booked this hotel was for that room. Plus I'm sure they knew about this sooner but didn't tell us until we were there checking in which I thought was kinda shady. The room we got was okay. The shower was horrible and the TV speaker was blown out. The elevators didn't work half the time and when we went to check out they didn't work at all and we had to haul our 50+ pounds suitcases down 9 floors of stairs. Not ideal. The building itself needs renovation. The grounds were nice though some of the shrubbery was overgrown and needed tending. I wouldn't even bring up most of these things but for the price we paid to stay there I would expect better conditions. The good... the view. The view made the problems of our room and hotel in general bearable. The location right on the beach was amazing and hearing the waves as you slept was awesome. The food was amazing. I'll say that again.. the food was amazing with exception of the Mexican restaurant which we didn't care for as much. The Italian and Asian restaurants were amazing. The staff was the most friendly staff we've encountered on our travels. Amazing people! The drinks were great! Well mixed and balanced. Even the people on the beach selling their wares were amazing! Say hi to David and be sure to talk to Eazy if you go! All in all it was a great place to visit even with the confusion of the room and some of the conditions of the hotel. We enjoyed our stay and will probably return at some point in the near future!

DO NOT COME HERE. We actively have a reservation here and have left and found another resort for the remainder of our stay. If you are looking for any sort of luxury experience or relaxation- this is NOT it. The food is horrible, 1 star, maybe. The rooms in the club tower are just ok, they need a fresh coat of paint and some serious cleaning. As does the whole resort if I am being honest. I was seriously disgusted in the way this resort was cleaned - I’m not sure i ever saw anyone cleaning, the pool decks, for one, were filthy. The service at the pool is very very slow and they do not have food and refreshments as advertised in the pool area. In general just a huge huge disappointment. We will NOT be back and I would NOT recommend this place, the negative reviews here are not lying.

My friend and I stayed 5 days, 4 nights at Hyatt Ziva, and we're already planning our next trip back! Everything about this resort was fantastic - the service is above and beyond, food and drinks are heaven, the amenities are top notch, the view can't be beat, and the pools are unbeatable! Every single person at the resort was so kind and helpful, we felt so welcomed and comfortable our entire stay. We ate at all the restaurants and room service and didn't have a single complaint, and the pool/bar drinks are beyond yummy. Our room was extremely comfortable with everything we needed and a breathtaking view of the ocean and beach. I cannot wait to come back to Hyatt Ziva!

First, I want to say the staff here is AMAZING! This rating is in no way shape or form a reflection on them. One small exception. The man in the Cabana next to us was smoking a cigar. Unfortunately, the smoke was blowing directly into our Cabana as well as the one next to us. (These are the Cabanas you pay for.) The staff ignored this. I had to ask the man to move in which he thankfully did. Food was okay. It was prepared well but nothing stood out. Due to Covid Mask situation the buffet is still a bust. Room was nice enough. Television is old and Spanish only. I am surprised smart TVs are not more common in this day in age. Each morning around 7 our bathroom would smell like sewage for about 20 mins. We never complained and probably should have. Entertainment was good, exceeded our expectations which to be fair were low. Outside hallways and corridors are very old and majorly run down. Sad considering how much it costs to stay here. Third world country, greed and corruption are evident. WHERE IS ALL THE MONEY BEING SPENT? Rooms and restaurants were clean. Overall, this felt a little overpriced. Gas is about a buck U.S. for perspective. If you want a massage on site plan to pay 150-200 bucks which is basically what you pay at any major US location which is CRAZY. Just a total scam that all English-speaking people seem to happily fall for. This is only my second experience at a Ziva, but it is my last. PLEASE don’t get me wrong. We had an amazing time, and the views were beautiful, but it is overpriced for what you get. Again, the mindset for me and maybe I am wrong is that Mexico is less expensive. Staying at these resorts it doesn’t feel that way. The Blaze restaurant is in progress of being built. There were construction noises while we "relaxed" on the beach. Funny how they always fail to mention that when taking your money. We paid for two days use of a cabana and both days right next to the construction work. This really should have been half off considering they were not busy, and Cabanas were left open. The shape of resort is designed in such a way that the sound is funneled in. The waves although smallish were sooo incredibly loud it was startling. You can easily hear the music below and people talking which is a plus or minus depending on your position. So again. I think my intention of this review is to set the expectation. We are not disappointed we stayed here but would not stay again if that makes sense.

This hotel offers all inclusive. All rooms have ocean view. They have 4 restaurants and 1 buffet. The grill restaurant is probably the best, then the buffet. A bit disappointed with the Italian, Mexican and Asian restaurants, but the other two made up. The coffe daily is awesome, free kayak and paddle board and other music programs. Very relaxing, staffs are super nice and friendly.

Was under renovations, but everything else was top notch!! Had our own pool room, but was behind the Asian restaurant, so view was abstructed, other than that minor inconvenience, we loved the place. Definitely would go back! One more thing, if you have a soft mattress at home, you might not like theirs cause they are very hard, but with enough alcohol, you will not know the difference.

This is our first time coming to the Hyatt Ziva. What a great choice. The property is so beautiful with a tropical setting. The staff is so attentive and we enjoyed all of the restaurants and buffets. We stayed in the room with an ocean view with balcony and enjoyed it. Everything was way beyond our expectations and we will be back. Thank you Ziva for the amazing time.

We’ve been to several resorts In the last five years and I would have to rate this one just about average-maybe slightly above. The food is great for the most part and I would say much better than other all inclusive resorts. You could taste the quality, however they were couple of items that were not edible. Like a hamburger that was so tough and chewy, as if it’s been frozen for quite some time. All in all, the aesthetics of the resort are average. It has a beautiful entry and you are greeted with Popsicles and drinks which is very pleasant, but the rest of the resort didn’t give us much of a “wow” effect. definitely needs some upkeep and doesn’t have to much to offer for kids pools and entertainment. I must note that the hot tubs that they have on site Are meant to be at 86°F This was quite a disappointment to me and about 30 other guests they were all complaining of how lukewarm and even cold the tubs felt. After bringing this to intention to the concierge, they responded that that is appropriate level of these hot tubs And they wouldn’t be willing to do anything about it. Although, general manager, another concierge and a waiter were all telling us that there’s some thing malfunctioning and they’re ordering parts and waiting for it to be fixed. The five days that we spent at the resort, the temperature of the hot tub actually got cooler instead of hotter. I was disappointed with the way our concerns and many other guest concerns were not addressed. All in all, the best part of the resort I would say is the food. We were pleasantly surprised that the quality of food is definitely above average and they do have some limited accommodations for gluten-free and dairy free options.

We had an amazing time. Jorge was awesome at the pool he kept things going. He made all the activities enjoyable.. Fernanndo for pool waiter is amazing he runs so you get your drinks fast service beat we had. Enrique at blaze was a 10 out of 10. Saul from Asian was out favourite. Carlos from Italian was kind and we loved him. ... Jorge I got to say he was absolutely amazing.

Jorge, Alcatraz, David, and Julie were wonderful entertainment hosts during our 6 day stay here. It was nice seeing how welcoming and full of energy they all were. Our overall stay here was terrific. They service was amazing and our room was gorgeous. The views here are amazing and the weather around this time was perfect! I encourage anyone who is thinking of staying here to do it, you won’t be disappointed!

Though an older hotel, the staff is excellent. All inclusive hotel except for bottle services like wine, spa, and tips. Beware, it can add up quickly. Very humid starting in June's. 24 hour service. Ocean is right there and is loud. Turtles and crabs on the beach with a small sanctuary...great for kids to explore.

Rooms were not bad, probably on par with it's competition. I was in a swim up king, which was awesome. There was a ton of work being done which was annoying. They'll use the leaf blowers right outside your room at 8am. Employees were ALL great, helpful and friendly. Food was good, not great, but for buffet food and inclusive restaurants, it met expectations.

Make sure to use HoteITully.ᴄᴏm when booking your hotel. They compare thousands of booking websites and usually will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This resort is the best rated in this area. I have been coming here for a very long time. If you stay for a few nights you won't regret it. Beautiful and safe! I felt well taken care of at all times, and had plenty of activities at the resort! Plenty of food options and and lots to drink. My favorite drink is the dirty monkey!

The location is stunning. The beach is stunning. The resort was one of the biggest disappointments ever. I should have trusted the bad reviews. Very poor maintenance and even worse food, much of it inedible. Booked a hot tub room, hot tub worked 1 out of 3 nights, phone was broken, coffee machine broke, food was always cold, even the soup. Pastries were stale, had some tiny tough shrimp with a fluorescent orange sauce. I was so wanting the tortilla soup I ordered it twice thinking the first time was a fluke. Nope. The heater was broken on the adult pool, one of the main things I wanted to enjoy along with the hot tub and the food. What a waste of a lot of $. You know it's bad when you get to the airport and the food is soooo much better there.

Nice clean place to spend a vacation. I have been to several all inclusive hotels and the one has the best food. For different restaurants plus a buffet. They even made me fresh green juice. The free coffee bar in the lobby is a nice touch. I will definitely come here again.

We stayed here for 5 nights and now I am sad that tonight is our last night at this incredible place! The hotel is a bit dated and small but the private beach and pools are gorgeous. The size of the hotel doesn’t really bother me, if anything it makes it better. What really made this place outstanding was the incredible service, everyone is SO friendly and helpful. To name a few, Fermin from the pool bar, Omar and Carlos from the Italian restaurant, Hector from Blaze, Josefina our cleaning lady, Eduardo the bartender and the girls from the kids club (Jenny, Yazmin and Clariza). My toddler and I got sick and they truly cared for our health, sent the hotel doctor and even checked on us to make sure we were ok, they even sent us a fruit basket with a get well note, I think all this was done by the receptionist lady from the club tower but I can’t really remember her name. The food is pretty good for an all inclusive (believe me I’m Mexican but have lived in the US for 11 years now). I would 100% come back to this hotel!

Wonderful time! The staff is incredible, on top of it, and super helpful. The private beach tucked between two cliffs feels so different from the other "typical" all-inclusives I have been to - a major plus for us. We all enjoyed the food as well. And you're only 10 minutes into the central PV district and 30 minutes from the marina. Hope to go back!

Why the reservation system? For a couple that has been here four times, why? You shrink the menus at every restaurant. You make people wait for a reservation for people to not show up. The menu is different. People come back as brand loyalty. The staff is SUBERB. Your changes in service is not it.

Staff is super friendly and helpful, total first rate. Every server, bartender, dining services worker, concierge worker, and entertainment team member goes out of their way to make you as happy as possible though. Management circulates through events and spaces daily to try to a maintain high quality experience. The property is under renovation so construction noise during the day, sometimes no hot water. The property is beautiful but small. Weddings, which are frequent, block off significant amounts of the property to regular guests for the space of an evening. Overall the property has highs and lows. I am curious to see how it turns out after the renovations, however long they take.

My family had a wonderful holiday. We really loved this hotel. It was so relaxing. The room was maybe not the newest, but we had great ocean views. The food at the 4 restaurants was delicious. The beach is private, which meant it was calm. There are no big swimming pools and that was perfect. Our kids spent most of their day in the pool. All in all, it was perfect and we found ourselves relaxing and wanting to go back!

We stayed in Hyatt Ziva in late October for 6 nights, and they didn't warn us ahead of time there would be renovations going on in the hotel. And we paid $500 per night. Dust everywhere, half the rooms in our building were without windows some days. Staffs were moving furnitures in the hallway, and elevators were out of orders most of the time, or they would be used by staffs moving furnitures and tools. Food were okay, the Italian restaurant has the best food, so we ate there twice. The problem is you need reservations for those restaurants(which they don't open every night) and the buffet was only open on Wednesdays and Saturdays evening(my guess is they don't have enough guests due to renovations to fill up the restaurant). If you don't have reservations, and the buffet wasn't open. You might be out of luck. We had seen a few groups of guests standing outside a restaurant and staffs refused to serve them because they didn't have reservations. What a shame! Room was nice, view was great. But be prepare that it's very noisy with the waves, and the air conditioner were also very loud, so we didn't sleep well. Beach was beautiful, and very private, which is great. Only a few vendors walking around selling merchandise and they were very polite. The cafe is the highlight of our trip, they provide great coffees and it's included in the All-inclusive price. All in all, even though it's a beautiful resort, I wouldn't stay here if I had known it would be doing extensive renovations. It's too noisy and dirty. and I also found it dangerous when they are moving/replacing big windows on top of the pools with guests inside the pool. I wouldn't recommend Hyatt Ziva, at least not until the renovation is finished.

Loved staying here and will be recommending it for years to come. The staff were so extremely welcoming and really make the guests feel special. They upgraded our room and gave us a complimentary bottle of wine for my anniversary. I would definitely come here again! Thank you!

Really enjoyed our stay. Rooms were very clean with an authentic Mexican flare. The service was fantastic from Hector at the buffet to Alicia our cleaning person. The beach was private, clean and sunsets were killer. Nice restaurants and good food. We would definitely come back.

We (a group of three women) came to the resort and purchased day passes. They were $90 per day and covered you from 9 am to 6 pm. That included all meals and unlimited drinks. We only ate two meals (basically brunch and late lunch) but they were fabulous! The drinks were amazing as well and the servers who delivered the drinks did not allow an empty beverage once. I cannot speak to the rooms or entertainment because we were on day pass and just enjoyed the beach. But we had such a good time that we are considering staying on our next visit.

The staff was simply amazing. The rooms are beautiful and the food is first rate. We had a transportation issue and the hotel stepped in immediately to make things right so we did not miss our flight.. I will very definitely return!

Amazing property, great- safe location and friendliest hotel staff ever. The activities team were so friendly that my daughter was sad leaving her new friends (Thanks Daniela!) Definitely worth visiting. But leave plenty of time to get to and from the PVR airport.

The staff really went out of their way to make sure my son and I were having a great time. It is a perfect mix of adults and families, no extremes of partying or kids running around. The perfect amount of mellow. My air condition in my room broke and they replaced the entire unit in under 20 minutes. They are doing some painting but they upkeep the property very well, all pools very clean. The beach vendors are not pushy, but honestly their stuff is fairly priced so we supported them. Breakfast and lunch were pretty consistent and I ordered room service daily. The asian restaurant & steakhouse were delicious! The beach and view just absolutely stunning. I ordered ubers and took taxis's and they were all reasonably priced. They arrange the Covid test for you and it is included in your stay to head back to the USA or Canada. I will be back ! I did not experience the spa but loved the coffee shop and sports bar! Lastly, the nightly entertainment was perfect, not too much not too boring. And no wrist bands or dinner reservations necessary!

The service was good and the people were very friendly. I do have to say I was disappointed with the condition of the rooms and the food especially it being a Hyatt. The room had nice ocean view but it needed to be updated. Many things were not working properly especially the balcony door. The shower handle wouldn't stay up and just pointed to the floor. The stopper was missing in one sink but no one came up to fix it. One night they had a wedding ceremony right front of the hotel rooms. So loud....Congrats to the couple but we came here to relax and not to be in their wedding dance party. Ugh. The hot tub was warm but one of the days that we stayed it was luke warm. I complained, the others complained but it stayed cool all day n night making it useless. The food was good but not that great. The sushi rolls in the Asian restaurant was below the standard. The rice was undercooked making it hard. Overall it was a ok place, I probably wouldn't go there again.

I would like to commend Luis the waiter at the Italian restaurant, outstanding service. Jorge, the personal trainer, excellent circuit class. Carlos, was our cabana waiter on Sun and Mon. Provided excellent service. Overall, a very good experience.

Unfortunately this hotel was very disappointing for a variety of reasons. First, our room was in a state of disrepair, stained sheets, bugs in the room, chipped wood and an overall smoky smell to the room. Service ranged from a little worse than “ok” to downright cold, off, and entitled. Ive never seen lazier more entitled workers anywhere in Mexico than I have at this property. The view is great! Food is some of the worst I’ve had since the high school cafeteria. Yes, this is an all inclusive resort, but the pizza was from a box (worse than a tombstone pizza) the tacos and chips were stale and the guacamole had mold growing on it. Overall this hotel is an embarrassment to the brand and should probably be shut-down, renovated, management fired and staff retrained in warm service

This place has a beautiful private beach all to itself. This is not common for other resorts in the area. We loved how kind and helpful the staff was. The food was great, especially the buffet, Mexican, Asia and Steak house restaurants. They really took care of families and had a "Kids Club" that had kid friendly activities going throughout most of the day. We were also impressed with the evening entertainment. Some of the best fire dancing and break dancing I have ever seen was at the evening show a couple different nights.

Our stay at this resort hotel offered us one of our best holidays ever. The ambiance, private beach, staff, food, room size and cleanliness were all excellent. We travel a lot and this met our highest standards on all levels. I don’t understand a couple of the poor reviews I have read as we found all aspects of the hotel to be excellent. Special thanks to Paulina and Andrea from Vivaz, Hector and Joel who made my special birthday dinner so memorable, Hector from Blaze and Jose from the beach service who seemed to anticipate our every wish before we even knew it ourselves! We will definitely return to this hotel. Thank you for such a lovely holiday.

The hotel and the scenery are beautiful. My room was huge and I could step out the patio doors right into a heated pool. I could see whales swimming in the bay from my room. Now the problems - I am disabled and use a three wheeled mobility scooter. The beautiful beach was completely inaccessible. The excursions offered were inaccessible. Restaurants and shops, pools and hot tubs, were mostly accessible, but if you want to explore the wonders of nature, you are mostly out of luck.

It's an amazing resort. Unlimited drinks and food. Good food is the tricky part because not all the food is good. Italian restaurant is hit or miss. The Mexican restaurant is good. The steak place is really hit or miss. The Asian cuisine place is defiantly the best, I would totally recommend to go there. The pool drinks while free are defiantly watered down, which honestly is a good thing, no one wants super wasted people in a pool.

I love that the rules are more flexible than most resorts. You don't have to wear those cheap bracelets or give a card for a towel. The Staff were amazing. So kind and gracious. The pools were nice. The beach is very private only catering to this hotel. There are a few vendors on the beach but they are not pushy. There are some good activities through the day. My main complaints would be the food. The buffet was ok and there was one good fish dish at the Italian restaurant. Otherwise most of the food was really bad. Soggy, undercooked, underseasoned. Just gross to be honest. And the resort is kind of dead at night so if you like wild nights this resort likely isn't a good fit for you. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay though. Beautiful, clean and relaxing stay.

Very good hotel. Rooms are a little dated but are fair, clean, and quite functional. Food is above average for all inclusive resorts. Pools and beach are great. Best restaurant is Blaze, a steakhouse. Staff and service are excellent. Beach bar service is very good. Drinks are stronger than most all inclusive resorts. Overall good value for money. I recommend.

Just returned last night from a fabulous 4 night stay! The all-inclusive experience was the best that I've had by far! Every staff member that I encountered was friendly, professional and happy to be there! Every room offers an ocean view, which was so nice to leave the patio doors open and hear the crashing of the waves.! The resort is on the smaller side, so there isn't a far walk from ocean/beach to pool area. Wait staff at the pool is reliable and accommodating, shout out to Jose and Alejandro!! There is no need for reservations at any of the restaurants, which is incredibly annoying at other resorts. Much of the food at the buffet is made fresh and to order. The food selections also change each day so you don't get bored after a few days. If you don't see it, you can ask and they will try their best to make it happen! Best food for me was the fresh fish on the beach, the fresh made ceviche, and the appetizers at the Asian restaurant. Amazing trip!!!

The value for the price was amazing. The food and drinks (all included) were excellent and endless. The spa was absolutely worth it. However, Naomi, our Hyatt VIP membership rep was what really Made the trip. She catered to our every need, often without asking. From her swift reaction to our requests, to her taking the initiative to send champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to our room on our last night. She helped to make this vacation memorable for my wife and I. Whatever you’re paying her Hyatt Ziva, it’s not enough. Myron & Lesley

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any resort. This website will compare countless booking websites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later! This place is one of the highest rated in the area. I've been coming here for years. If you stay for a few nights you will love it I'm sure! A wonderful property located about 30 minute walk from downtown, Puerto Vallarta. The accommodations were wonderful and the staff incredibly friendly. Very high-end for an all-inclusive and the town offers a great escape from the resort vibe. We will definitely return soon.

I've been to a few resorts throughout Mexico and this is definitely #1!! Amazing staff throughout the location, entertainment staff, housekeeping, front desk, bar, restaurants, waitstaff, everyone! Variety of food for everyone. Amazing views. Awesome activities that happen all day long and are all inclusive! Room service 24/7 completely included.

Great room very clean. Private beach, very few licensed vendors who are not pushing for a sale. Super friendly staff making sure your needs are looked after. Staff work very hard looking after guests. 24 hour guest service. Food good with plenty of selection. Visited most on site restaurants great service and food. Very secure hotel. This all inclusive hotel is the best we have stayed at. Will be back for another visit. The only minor problem, the hotel has no airport service, but taxi cabs are reasonable.

I highly recommend this place bcz of it's location and services. The rooms are pretty average and some of the parts of the property was under construction or has water dripping issues/ unfinished corridors. Also one more good thing about the property is food. All 5 restaurants of the property has good quality of food/ drinks and excellent taste. Specially Vegetarian food. Also the pools has excellent views. Has heated pool. I loved it🥰❤️

I love this place. Been 2x now and will be returning. The staff are so wonderful, and happy to oblige any reasonable request. The food is consistently plentiful, diverse, and high quality. Location is awesome, with the private beach and only a mile south of Zone Romantica. Plenty to do, just big enough without being too big, lots of options for rooms, dining, drinking, swimming, activities, etc. The guests tend to be somewhat mixed, but depends the time of year. Thank you to the housekeeping staff, the activities staff (Karla!), the dining staff (Ramon), the bar staff, the sea turtle team (Manuel!), etc etc. Wish I had kept better track of everyone's names! Thank you all so much; keep up the great work.

Late review, we went back in 2016 but loved this place even then and would absolutely go back. We had 3 families with little ones, teens to adults and it was a perfect destination for all. One of my favourite memories was when my partner and I had been at the sports bar, chatting with one of the bartenders and mentioned it was our 5 year anniversary. He made us a special shot to celebrate. Later that evening, we had a knock at our door with a letter, bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries wishing us a happy 5 year anniversary. I still have the letter and we felt so special, especially when it really was mentioned in passing. The whole time from cleanliness, safety, staff service and the overall atmosphere was amazing. We hope to go back one day soon! Looking back on photos inspired me to share this review.

This resort is fantastic! Every staff member I interacted with was very friendly, the service was fast, the food was delicious, and the property is beautiful! I also greatly appreciated the smaller, more boutique nature of the resort. It meant that the pools and beach weren't as crowded as at other places. I plan on returning, probably multiple times. I very much recommend staying here.

What a fantastic hotel/resort. The service level is exemplary. All our requests were looked after immediately. The food at the four restaurants was excellent, as was the buffet. It wasn't inexpensive, but in this case, it was evthing we hoped for. Very kid friendly with an outstanding kids program. Our grandkids loved Jennifer, who kept the kids entertained every day. She is not a babysitter, so don't expect to keep your kids while you go shopping in Puerto Vallarta. We had 15 people in our group. EVERYONE loved it.
