Absolutely amazing experience, the staff was so accommodating even when we didn’t have enough pesos at the tequila distillery and their credit was down they allowed us to pay back at the tour headquarters. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us, block traffic so we could go all at once on the hills of the city and even the buggies themselves were unbelievably comfortable. I’ll certainly be coming back!

This is the best tour in Puerto Vallarta hands down. The staff makes this worth while and fun! Even with my husband’s mobility issue of walking they were very accommodating!! My appreciated!! Who doesn’t like traveling in a buggy feeling the wind in their face while cruising along the twisty roads almost as good as being on a motorcycle 😎 We busted the Botanical Gardens I could have stayed there all day so lovely all the plants, flowers, trails, restaurant. A short drive back to a tequila distillery by far this was the best tasting tequila espresso the flavoured varieties brought some back home. The day didn’t end there off to a local fishing village for lunch it was very good !! Had a nice cold beer and headed to the boat which picked us up at the beach we headed to the protected islands where we snorkelled with colourful fish and a turtle. We were also blessed to watch a female whale and her calf playing in the sea by surfacing & jumping. Quite a sight to see as I live no where close to an ocean. We then went back to the village and a short walk for some of the people back to the buggy’s and drove with everyone back to the base. Like I said the experience, the excursion is well worth it. We paid $125 US per person. The cars can fit 4 it would be a bit squishy for our rental it was just 2 per car.

what a great day and wonderful way to explore parts of Puerto Vallarta that i have never seen before. First the adventure in the Sun Buggy was really fun cruising through old town. We headed south to the beautiful botanical gardens, with plenty of time to tour all the plants of flowers. Next a crazy time at the Tequila Factory and on to lunch at La Jolla de Mismaloya on the beach. Then a wet ride to cool us off in a boat, cruising around rock formations that had many different kinds of birds. driving back to the tour office, it gave me time to reflect on the day and new adventures we experienced in PV. Best day of our trip to PV…what a blast!!! Jeff and the crew were so very personable, organized and went out of their way to ensure everyone in the “family” was well taken care of. The buggies were so fun to drive and the route along the coast offered spectacular scenery and a taste of life outside PV. Stops at the botanical garden, tequila factory and beach were all enjoyable. The pace was great…not too slow, not too fast. We made some great memories, met some awesome people and will definitely include another buggy tour on our next trip to PV. Highly recommend this!!!!

Best tour ever, by far. The day started off with my father forgetting his phone in the taxi. The guys at Sunbuggy were quick to make phone calls and figure out a meeting place. During the tour they stopped to intercept the phone and we carried on with all smiles. The first part of the drive through Puerto Vallarta and up the mountain was such good fun. The guys make sure everyone is safe by blocking traffic and taking the correct roads. While the buggies are a little terrifying to drive at first, i never felt in danger, and it quickly becomes very fun. Taking photos while driving through town was hilarious for me, and the photos came out really good overall. Botanical gardens were beautiful with blooming flowers, humming birds, and all sorts of exotic life. In conclusion, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I don’t think there are other places that let you drive a 80s buggy through some of the most gorgeous scenery I’ve seen. A warm thank you to all the guys there, who ended up feeling like friends by the end of the tour.

We have been coming to PV for years and have done all the excursions. This was hands down the best, most comprehensive and well organized. The buggies are great, easy to drive and the sound systems so you can play your own tunes as you drive up the coast is a plus ! The botanical gardens were a hidden gem, with a great restaurant, you get ample time to explore. The next stop is a quaint little town to visit a family tequila distillery and if you are lucky the horse Favorito will stop by, he’s an awesome horse one the ranchers rescued. After that you stop off at the beach for a legit lunch that they order for you ahead of time. It was a lunch menu with real options, after that you can hang out on the beach or head out to los arcos and see all the fish and do a quick scuba dive. You wrap it up with a great drive back into zona romantica. This entire tour was as advertised and nowhere along the way did they try and charge extras. It is an exceptional value for the price and you will explore parts of PV that weren’t even on your radar. Kids, wife and Dad would definitely do it again.

Our family loved the whole day with Sun Buggy Tours. Christian guided us the whole time and was attentive to details. Botanical Gardens, Tequila tasting, lunch in Mismaloya and boating to snorkel around the 3 arches and of course the Sun Buggys. A must do with family and friends. Lucille and Todd.

Fun way to pass a day driving in the Beautiful Vallarta. The car ride, the snorkeling, and the opportunity to take multiple memorable pictures was my favorite part of the excursion. The vehicles are not automatic and in very good condition. You will be driving in town, mountains and beach. Shift is a must. For 4 adults is best two have 2 vehicles.

Had a great trip to Puerto Vallarta for the first time and decided that we would go on a fun buggy tour with our family of 4 adults. The sites were great, snorkeling could have been a lot better but had an amazing day site seeing and touring around. We definitely recommend this crew for your adventures when in the area!! What an awesome experience. To have the variety of sun buggy ride to botanical garden, food, tequila & water ride …. never got bored. We were well looked after. They kept us safe getting on & off the highway (so we all stayed together). Would highly recommend to everyone. Need to drive a standard(shifting not quite a smooth as back home). A must do tour!!! We were so well taken care of all day long! Our tour guide Christian Fidel Chino Daniel, went above and beyond! He order our food in advance so when we arrived to our next destination our food was ready! 😄 Everything was delicious! The boat tour was unforgettable. We really enjoyed the tequilla tasting. He gave great driving instructions. Best tour we have done in Puerto Vallarta!

Amazing experience. We were well taken care of by the Christian. If you can drive a Manuel car, I would highly recommend doing this with your family. It can be a little stressful driving around town but the staff have a great system to make it less of a worry! Thank you guys for the great day and life long memories!

My husband and I went on the Sun Buggy tour the last week of July 2022. It was great fun. My husband was the driver. He's a very good driver of stick shift, but difficult shifting in the buggy we picked especially in the downtown stop and go area. At the beginning, on the way out of town, he was grumbling, but once we got into less packed traffic he seemed to feel better about things. For me, the passenger, 100% fun the whole time. We drove first to the botanical gardens which was a pretty long, nice drive into the jungle area. We only had 45 minutes to explore the gardens and it's the kind of place and size that you could stay many hours, but it was good since we may not have gotten there at all on our own. It was lovely there and highly recommended. Then, we stopped for tequila tasting which was fun. Then off to Mismaloya beach where we parked and had lunch and a boat ride with snorkeling. Lunch was included and you can buy alcoholic drinks. I thought Mismaloya was going to be a quaint, sleepy area (for some reason) but lots of people, boats, etc. The guy with the boat we went on had 2 young sons who assisted in the driving and who led the ones of us who went snorkeling. Such cute kids and very good at their jobs. The boat owner put some food in the water and lots of beautiful, colorful fish came up to the surface. While snorkeling, I mostly saw one of the varieties and not all. But, still really fun. Felt like I was in an aquarium. The snorkeling takes place at Los Arcos. Probably only in the water for 20 minutes. Then, back to where we started at the Sun Buggy shop. It was really fun and kind of a "highlight" tour of areas outside of the Romantic Zone. If no one in your party drives standard they can arrange a driver for you. On our tour there were "extra" people who work there, one of which took over for one of the people who drove out to the botanical gardens, but preferred not to continue on as the driver. The owners came with us too and one took pictures. Also, a mechanic or two. Everyone who works at Sun Buggy was great, super nice, helpful, fun to talk to, etc. Definitely recommend this tour to anyone who likes fun!

OMG!!! We had the best time ever :) Sun Buggy Tours and their entire staff were amazing. I was so nervous about the snorkeling at first, but their boat captain held my hand and helped me relax and enjoy. The drive to the locations were breathtaking. I strongly recommend this tour to anyone who visits Puerto Vallarta :)

This excursion was recommended by other tourists we met while in Puerto Vallarta so we decided to check it out. The team at Buggy Town were welcoming, professional and took pride in their service. As it turned out, we were the only customers that day. Christian was our guide and he was wonderful. He was informative, accommodating and ensured we were taken care of everywhere we went. The buggy drive was a lot of fun and it was nice to not be in a crowded bus although you must know how to drive manual and be a relatively seasoned driver as the route is through the old town then up into the mountains. The only drawback was the unavoidable smell of gas that took some getting used to but at the end of the day, it was a relatively small price to pay for so much fun! Thanks Christian and Buggy Town team!

Don't miss out on this adventure. It is the perfect your with so many different options, for everyone!! The "buggies" are a blast to drive and rise in as you go between the locations. The plantation is amazing, the tequila factory was the best (and most enjoyable), and the snorkeling was fantastic. Food was OK but you are not going on this adventure for the food. And most importantly, EVERYONE involved with your adventure was extremely helpful and made it so much better!! Don't miss out on a great day!!!

We had our tour with Christian as our guide. He was super friendly and personable. It was nice because we were the only ones on our tour, so we had a more personalized experience. The buggys are nice, they have Bluetooth and I was able to connect my phone via Android Auto. Like the website states, they are all manual transmissions. They are OG VW Bug chassis and running gear, so if you aren't experienced in driving a vintage VW it could be difficult at first. The drive through the city and down the coast was beautiful. The botanical gardens, tequila tastings and Mismaloya Beach were all wonderful places. My husband and I picked this tour because it gave us an opportunity to experience a bit of everything while enjoying a drive in a Sun Buggy.

A group of 12 friends (plus 9 others) had a terrific time yesterday touring the Vallarta Botanical garden, a tequila tasting, lunch, and snorkelling. In all it was about 7 hours long - some road construction added some time. Christian and his team were friendly, professional, organized, and did a great job of keeping the 21 person group together … despite some minor car issues. It was a fun day spent with Sunbuggies! Ps. You must know how to drive a stick, these buggies are all manual transmission.
