This is such a nice hotel! I really love it! I would definitely stay here again. The place is very clean, the shower is big, they have a tv and the balcony is beautiful. The interior is great. Something like this in Vancouver would be so much more expensive for a night. This is pretty cheap here for what it’s worth which is a win win. Definitely check it out. It’s only a thirty minute walk to downtown. If you drive probably like 5-10 mins. Walking is safe and it’s nice to see the city. The pool is very clean and the bathrooms are super clean in the pool area.

I booked Mio in Nov ‘21 for our stay at end of Jan ‘22; we arrived in the late evening of Jan 29th to be told they were oversold - so we were offered a room in their sister property, Friendly. The experience was awful; the manager, Fabio was rude and lacked compassion; the rooms at Friendly were not renovated, fresh or modern like Mio. It was bait and switch - we payed for, and looked so forward to the Mio experience; we got an old, tired and nasty room instead. The Friendly Vallarta staff were unwelcoming and unhelpful too! The only good part was the Front Desk agent, Kassandra - she was nice, compassionate and tried to help us her best despite her tied hands. Although Mio is beautiful, I’ll never explore a stay there again, and I’ll never recommend it to friends or family due to the terrible management and poor administration. I quote “the machine is broken” as stated by the manager, Fabio.
They knew they were oversold, but did nothing proactively to let the guests know. And you’d think they’d prioritize prepaid bookings made far in advance as guests that’d have a guaranteed room. So, at 10:45pm we asked for a refund as we weren’t going to stay in the nasty room they provided in lieu at the other property, and headed to Holiday Inn & Suites - Marina and Golf, where we were offered a beautiful suite for the night at a great rate, and received excellent service! We’re so happy that we didn’t stay at Mio or Friendly! Highly recommend Holiday Inn & Suites Marina and Golf!!! To this date, Mio still hasn’t returned my emails regarding the status of our refund; I had to turn to our booking site who’ve been helpful and processed the refund. Terrible service in a world today where service is the key to success!

When we arrived they told us they had a problem with several reservations and offered us to stay in the next hotel, the Friendly hotel. The Friendly is an old all inclusive family hotel, not what we were looking for. The door lock wasn't working, there were insects in the bathroom, the A/C old and noisy. We stayed since we were pretty tired. Next day, when we tried to stay in the Hotel Mio, was a nightmare. They kept telling us the room wasn't clean and we saw it. We waited since noon til 5pm for the room to be cleaned. At the end, I got upset and entered the room, since we already had the keys. I spoked to the cleaning staff that we had a meeting at 6pm and needed OUR room to get ready. We had been waiting for too long. The cleaning staff suggested me to shower in the dirty shower and they would come back afterwards to clean it! At the ended I decided to iron my dress while they finishing the cleaning. This seems to be a very common practice from the staff hotel since I have been reading posts with similar experiences. It was not just us during the weekend, there were some other customers with the same problem. It's a shame because the rooms are super nice and spacious. The staff was polite but ineffective. It's totally disrespectful to be doing this. If you sell something you cannot expect us to accept anything less but what we paid for. Please Hotel Mio, pay attention to details! We are all customers that want to relax and love your hotel. If you decide to stay at the Hotel Mio, beware that you might have this experience too, and lose precious days of your vacations in another lower quality hotel.

Our air conditioning unit wasn't working, and after they sent someone to fix it multiple times, we had to switch rooms in the middle of the night. Also seems as if it isn't built very well, as the doors sometimes wouldn't close properly. The staff was all very nice and helpful, however there was no compensation for having to switch rooms in the middle of the night.

This place is what hotels should be like. There are a lot of tiny details that make this place shine. Staff is super friendly, breakfast buffet is pretty good, the music at the pool is very chill. But the best part is their internet. Download and upload speeds are amongst the best I've seen in Mexico. I work remote and i could take video calls from everywhere in the hotel with no issues. It's an adults only hotel which makes it even more awesome, it has a small pool and I've seen quite a lot of people up there but nobody is splashing and running around screaming. I wish more hotels in the world were like this

My friend and I stayed here for 9 days/8 nights early in November 2022. We have stayed in 3 other places in PV and Hotel Mio is by far our favourite. We love that it is adults only. The rooftop pool is great. We wished it stayed open later as it closes at 10. The drinks and food up there was always yummy. There were always enough seating options, towels and music daily. We weren't the biggest fan of the breakfast food but it was okay because we didn't have it included in our package. There are also nearby food places everywhere so we never ran out of options. (La Isla. etc.) The location is amazing. Near local malls and the food park. It is also a short and affordable Uber right to the Romantic Zone/beach. It is also pretty close to the airport. You are also close to the bus/public transportation if you wanted to take it. The rooms itself were very modern, new and clean. Housekeeping did a great job daily. Loved that there were balconies. Probably the best thing was the staff. Fabio at the front desk went above and beyond for us the very first day we got there, helping us set up our phones for our stay there. He was also just extremely helpful and kind throughout our entire stay. Jazmin and Ally up at the rooftop bar and at the breakfast resto were also amazing throughout our entire stay. Ronaldo was also extremely helpful. Overall we highly recommend this hotel. We will be back to PV soon and will 100% be staying at the Mio again.

Clean modern room, great view from the south side of the hotel. Rooftop pool and bar was nice, breakfast decent and could order egg dishes as well as buffet. Lots of restaurants in walking distance, including food truck park across the street, two malls within a five minute walk. Friendly and helpful staff at reception, restaurant and cleaning staff. Would definitely return!

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP. Road noise is a lot, party noise is a lot, but that’s understandable. But any normal human CANNOT sleep through super loud dog barks coming from the next door. we were placed in a room on the second floor which is designated to guests with pets (we’re without pets). Some owners leave these poor dogs alone in their rooms all day long and they’ve been barking non stop. I contacted the front desk numerous times but they wouldn’t put me into another room. They finally told us that they “overbooked” their rooms so they had to put us in this room. There are a ton of hotels nearby so just go with a different option. (Videos captured different times of the day)

Spectacular views of downtown Puerto Vallarta and Banderas Bay. Rooftop pool, hot tub, DJ and bar are excellent at Hotel Mio. Hotel staff is very friendly and professional. Rooms are very clean and modern and the room shower is beautiful. Highly recommend a stay at Hotel Mio Vallarta.

Final destination rooming with Far Out Travel Co! This hotel is ABSOLUTELY the best I've ever stayed in. And, as a lover of mid-century modern design the high ceilings, light wood paneling, tall doors, and glass accents were a playhouse for the eye. Rooms were spectacularly clean, filtered water and ice provided on each floor, and staff at the front desk spoke fluent English (for those English-only visitors). The included breakfast has enough options for even the most hesitant guest to find something they will enjoy. (one tip here is not to limit yourself to what the servers can order for you, you can also walk up to either bar and request or grab for yourself anything on offer.) OH! And it has a rooftop pool and bar! GO!

I had Silver status through Expedia so got the all-inclusive which is an amazing deal. Includes all good and drinks. The rooftop pool is about 25M so good for laps in the morning (they open at 8 am) and they have live DJ every evening. Many people have complained about the food but for me it wasn’t too bad. Maybe I would feel different if I was paying for each meal. The chicken soup had big chunks of chicken, rice and carrots which was my favorite. The location is great with a high end mall and a local bargain mall both within walking distances.

Nice hotel with some odd nuances. There are no microwaves, coffee makers, cups or ice buckets in the rooms. Everything has to be requested and I'm sure that is to encourage you to use their bar and services. Though the room has space for 4 guests they leave 3 towels causing another call to get towels. It's just a nuisance. Great views, nice pool, adults only and you can bring your dogs to share in your experience. They will provide dog beds, water bowls and allow your pet anywhere in the hotel. Outside of the hotel itself, you can access the beach with a short walk. I'm more of a pool person so I didn't pay much attention to that. Would I stay again? Sure but the room amenities would be nice to have. What's the point of a fridge if I can't take out a beverage and pour it into a glass or an ice machine without the bucket to get ice...

Due to a mix-up we were told once we arrived that the booking was cancelled. This might be due to a Expedia mix-up. But the room that we were given might not have been fully finished. Wonderful hotel though. Beach access is through a sister hotel with a portion for Mio on the beach. Nice rooftop pool and jacuzzi. Pet friendly and relatively cheap.

Well run, clean hotel with nice modern and spacious rooms and a pleasant rooftop pool. Staff is professional. Adults only, but pets are allowed. BE AWARE that since March '22 access to the beach has been closed (without notice). Public beaches are a 15 minutes walk away.

We had an excellent stay at the Mio! The rooms were clean and the staff are friendly. We enjoyed the pool and the pool bar and food. Ali the waitress was so friendly and welcoming on our first day and everyday she was so happy when she came Into to work at 3 o’clock and remembered what we drank.

Great location for those wanting to experience the local scene. The room and shower were both spacious, and the view from the balcony was awesome. There is a safe in the closet to store your passport and other important belongings, and the hotel is for adults only. The best feature however, was the rooftop pool. It was a whole vibe, from the décor to the loungers, to the panoramic view of Puerto Vallarta's picturesque mountains and bay. Ali and Luis were fantastic, and kept the food and drinks flowing for three days. The fish ceviche and aguachile portions were huge, and the tacos were phenomenal. World music plays the entire time, and on some evenings a DJ visits to kick the vibe up a notch. We had a minor issue with the A/C when we first arrived, but maintenance promptly took care of the issue and our room was nice and cold in a couple of hours. A couple of side notes: there is construction occurring on the lower floors by the lobby, but we didn't hear any noise after working hours. There is also a food truck park within five minutes walking distance that was great to visit for a late night snack. We look forward to our next visit to PV and Hotel Mio!

Class act.. great location We found live music across the street at the Dropshot and excellent reasonably priced food and drinks at the Food Park and pickleball and tennis courts just across the street. The rooftop pool area and bar have live or dj music every night and the service is great. Access to the beach is via an all inclusive which really makes you appreciate the adult only Mio. We had continental breakfast with our room and it was excellent with a beautiful outdoor seating area. The gym was well equipped with both machines and free weight dumbbells up to 50lbs. (60s and 70s would have been nice to have) Definitely would recommend the Mio for shorter stays in PV… ps high speed internet was great wifi router in our room. Only down side was traffic noise was a bit loud they should have opted for double glazed windows and doors to cut the noise a bit.

This hotel is awesome on every level. The great rooftop pool with views of Banderas Bay and the exceptional service by very friendly, welcoming staff. The room was amazing with a very comfortable bed and great view off the balcony. Location was ideal for shopping and dining. Will book here next year after our 3 month stay in La Cruz. Hotel Mio was the “cherry on top”.

Rooms were clean, but could use some updating. The service was very slow at the pool bar. Sometimes we sat for 20 to 30 minutes before someone would come take our orders. From the room you could never get house keeping or the front desk on the phone. I had to go to the front desk for anything and then there was always a long wait.

What a great hotel! The room was beautiful and clean. The shower was a walk in with lots of space. The only downsides are there’s no microwave or coffee maker and the street is noisy at night. Other than that it was amazing. The pool was great with ocean views and great views of the mountains. The staff were very helpful. I will definitely come again.

I ended up staying not too long ago because some friends were getting married in town. I wanted an inexpensive option that was not all inclusive. I was semi-concerned because the hotel was relatively cheap, but was pleasantly surprised to find how modern and clean this hotel was, the rooftop pool is amazing. They even have a DJ and live flamenco guitar players. It’s great. I will say that was one of my favorite things at this hotel aside from how modern in the room was. It’s not super close to the center of town but that’s just because my friends, however can Uber anywhere in this city so it wasn’t a big deal. I would definitely stay here again.

Love this hotel!! The staff is always friendly and very helpful. The location is not in the typical tourist part but just a quick ride away. The beach is not over crowded for this reason, making it ideal for a better experience. The roof top pool/bar is awesome. Wonderful views from the roof while having access to great food and drinks. Give Hotel Mio and try, I promise you won't regret it.

I don’t understand all the good reviews here. It’s right next to the highway and the sliding window has no soundproof so it’s super noisy all night. My pillow has obvious yellow stain on it and when I tried to contact staff on the hotel line, no one is answering. Tried front desk, housekeeping, and concierge - no one is answering!

Hotel Mio is situated in the perfect area and very close to restaurants and shopping malls, with the exception of having no beach access whatsoever. The overall property is clean, and gives you a smaller boutique hotel vibe. I found the staff to be friendly (especially the bellmen…who consistently greeted me with smiles on their faces). The room itself was nice, clean, and had excellent views of the ocean and city. While I found the room to be nice and cozy, the bed was a little harder than I would have liked but it did the job. Unfortunately, we had to keep calling down each night because housekeeping did not supply us with any wash cloths…I thought it was accidental until we had to call down a second time for the same exact thing. The pool area was nice, and wasn’t that crowded during the day. It seemed more people came to the pool and enjoyed an evening swim. I must admit, the restrooms in the pool area was very nice…probably the nicest I’ve seen at any hotel. The food was mediocre and the breakfast was a complete fail. You’d be better off going to one of the nearby eateries to have breakfast/dinner.

Perhaps best hotel in PV. Pros: Exceptional staff. Excellent rooms. Super location. Best shower ever! Rooftop pool and bar were nice addition. Cons: Noise from the boulevard and non stop, blaring music at rooftop pool.

Beautiful hotel, amazing views from the room and awesome rooftop pool. Great staff, very helpful. However, I woke up with a very sore back from the beds. If you have back problems, consider removing the mattress pad before you sleep. Also, the hot tub isn't very warm. The location is kind of boring, but it's a short Uber ride to downtown.

We ordered coffee via room service. We expected the coffee to come in a flask, milk in a proper ceramic container and ceramic cups with saucers to drink with. What we got was coffee in open paper cups with milk also in an open paper cup. The distance from the kitchen to our room is quite considerable; naturally, the coffee was lukewarm by the time we got it. The hotel is located right by a major artery, the traffic Noice was significant. The staff were polite and helpful, but we won't be patrons at this establishment again.

It's a *good* hotel, not great, but good. The rooms are well appointed with nice quality materials throughout. There is a significant noise issue as it is directly beside the main 8 lane road through PV. They have beautiful full height sliding glass doors to your balcony, but they don't block a lick of noise from the road. By 6:30 in the morning you'll have been woken by the road happenings. It's also close to the beach, not right on it, which they make up for with a rooftop bar and pool. They had a dj come on about 7:45pm when I was here, decent tracks but couldn't mix. Breakfast is served from 7am, and again it's decent, but not amazing, and for an extra 350 pesos, pretty steep. I don't think I would stay here again mainly due to the noise issue, which is too bad as all the staff were really lovely.

The hotel is really far from downtown and has no beach access. The pool is nice, but doesn’t make up for those key details for a PV vacation. Food also was a big negative for me. The meals were not good and were very expensive, even by American standards. I’m not picky with food and it was bad enough for me to mention it. Rooms were very clean, staff was great though! The price is too high for this quality, I would not recommend.

Honestly I really wanted to love this place. The hotel itself is nice, the lighting is great and the rooftop pool as well. However, I’m super disappointed because when housekeeping came to clean my room, they stole money (USD) from me. When I reported this to the front desk, the manager seemed nonchalant and calm about it, as if it happens all the time. He said that he will investigate but never got back to me. He also basically insinuated that there is nothing he can do and if I wanted, I can report it to the cops. He even said that I might have lost it myself. How is that possible when I left the bag in the room? So unhelpful and I will not recommend staying here.

Great hotel. Food park is just a couple minutes walk away. The rooftop pool is great. Excellent customer service. Also very close to the city centre. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is nice. Rooms and service during breakfast and st the pool are extraordinary. Staff at the reception desk need to improve: check in took us 30 min, access cards were deactivated during our stay, check out was even worst…

We had a wonderful relaxing stay at Hotel Mio. Every single person we interacted with was an absolute delight. Food and drink prices are so reasonable. Rooftop pool is terrific. Rooms are quiet and comfy with blackout curtains and terrific showers. Mini fridge avail.

Good place to stay, I’ve visited this hotel twice in the past year. We just paid for the room and didn’t go all inclusive and we took an Uber to restaurants and we had an amazing experience. The rooftop pool was nice and we had a good size room so I would go back based on my experience. Location was good, lots to see near by and a good area for a nice walk to see local attractions.

This is a well located hotel in PV. It is easy to get to old town. Aly we was the best server at the roof top pool always making sure you had enough to eat and drink. The room service food is phenomenal. The recent earthquake caused the doors to not close properly, so you may have the unintended consequence of a drunk resident walking Ng into your room early in the morning. Make sure the door is properly closed.

Nice motel. Took me a while to figure out their parking system. No children allowed which I found quite refreshing! Their marguiritas were sooo good. Their elevators require a card to operate and not fir the weak minded

Only gave 4 stars because the pool closes at 10pm (one of the main reasons we got this hotel) and the DJ is only there from 6-8pm. We never even saw the DJ because we were always out doing other things at that time. Other than that, room was great, shower was amazing. Great AC, and beautiful views. Highly recommend!!
