👍👍 The food here is fantastic. The young man that served us was very polite. I am recommending the chicken wings, the ox tail, and the curry. All fabulous. They could cut down on the oil in the dishes, in my opinion. I’d go back. Price is not the cheapest place but it was worth it imo. It’s a go... People often mention Caribbean, good, chicken, oxtail, curry, delicious, great, ordered, service, wings,

Had a really fun and good dinner for three. Tried the oxtails, seabass curry, shrimp curry, and ribs. All were really good. The frozen cake was delish for desert. The highlight of the evening was when Tako the friendly pig made an entrance. Nice staff and reasonable prices.

It was truly a memorable experience meeting the owner and understanding her background as to why she decided to create this slice of heaven in puerto Vallarta. Absolutely amazing food and service!

The flavour of the fresh spices and herbs that they use is delicious and authentic Caribbean. Everything is always cooked to perfection. The drinks are good, the service is great, the staff are kind and the whole dining experience with their pet pigs makes it so fun. A must try if you’re in PV!

They could cut down on the oil in the dishes, in my opinion. I’d go back. Price is not the cheapest place but it was worth it imo. It’s a good change of the common stuff you find everywhere. I wish the pet pig was there :(. Thank you!!!

Cash only. Delicious food with pretty presentations. For some reason, my photos disappeared, except for the one of how they bring the bill! The jamaica was dressed with fresh flowers, and was so refreshing. The fried rice was just the right amount of spicy with curry.

What a lovely intimate culinary experience! So glad we came by to try the ox tail everyone is talking about…. They are correct, it’s perfect! I would also go back just for the dessert… that adds another five stars to this place. Well, dessert and of course the table greeter, floor sweeper Taco. 🐖 You made us smile!

Amazing food cooked by such a kind lady named Chela! The oxtail is to die for. The meat was so tender, I couldn't help but suck the bones clean. The plaintains that come with the dish are criss crossed and delicious. We both added a side of rice which I highly recommend. The white sangria was also very delicious and not too sweet or tart. It was the perfect balance. The restaurant mascot though, Tako, is the star of the show! He's absolutely adorable!

What a gem! Its been a while since we’ve had delicious Caribbean food and oregano served a serious punch! We ordered the chicken roti and the oxtail. The oxtail was some of the best we’ve had, succulent and tender, our only critican is that we wish the portion was slightly bigger , the chicken roti served up all the flavours and this version is de constructed, I also had the prawn curry which was the perfect blend of spice . We washed down the meal with a delicious cheese cake and the cocktails and wine are top notch also. This is a neighbourhood staple and we highly recommend it , loved meeting the adorable pig Tako aswell!

This place is so good. What a gem to find in PV! Their carribean hot wings will rock your world. I love how the peppery habaneros are present without over powering the other flavors or being wimpy. Also, let me tell you about that oxtail! It is so perfectly cooked! Goes so well with the tostones. The chef is wonderful and come out to say hello and chat with you. The art and decor is lovely! Here's a combination that you'll love: carribean chicken wings and the white wine sangria. You're welcome! There's nothing else I can say, just go there and thank me later!

I saw on Facebook this "hidden gem" in Versailles named Oregano. So we went to try it. We didn't not have a reservation but they let us in so when you go make an reservation. It's small but amazing the bartender was great. Our waiter with a lot of awesome tattoos from LA was the best. The food was really amazing. I was very impressed because I usually don't care for Caribbean food. We ordered two appetizers. The Oxtail tacos and garlic knots. Both were so good. Then I ordered garlic shrimp which I ate all of it and my girlfriend ordered the ribs. The ribs literally fell off the bone. Amazing. We will be back. Especially for the maracuya margaritas

Oregano Caribbean Cuisine was highly recommended by expat friends so we have to try. Ordered the Mussels appetizer, Caribbean Curry with Chicken and Braised Oxtail. Overall we like the food. The mussels were just ok. The Oxtail was very tasty and tender. Nothing really to pick on. The Curry was good with the chicken flavourful and vegetable fresh and still crunchy, not overcooked. Personally however, I would like it to taste a little less turmeric. We didn’t get to know the house pet Tako and the baby piglet because they are ‘on vacation’😂 but find the little piglet with the check very cute.

Outstanding service, great hand made cocktails and sublime food. We loved it. A gem of a place with truly unique food. The chef has kept his culinary roots in the Dominican Republic and created some great fusion dishes with local ingredients. It's a small place so you'll want reservations so you don't miss out. We shared the Chicken Coconut Curry and the Shrimp Como Ocean. They were bursting with flavor and the curry had a little heat. Definitely a winner.

A can’t-miss restaurant when you’re in Puerto Vallarta!! Everything we had was phenomenal (oxtail tacos, chicken wings, and garlic shrimp, as well as fresh strawberry water with lime). The wings were exceptional and a dish I’ll be thinking about for a long time. They’re braised in a delicious sauce and are very different from what you typically expect with wings. The waitstaff is very kind and professional. You might even get to meet the resident pig when you stop by! The restaurant is tiny, so be sure to make a reservation, especially during the busy season.

Best food I had in all of Puerto Vallarta. Even weeks later I am still thinking of the chicken wings and oxtail. The Flavored waters were so refreshing and delicious. I don’t usually leave reviews but I had to. It was THAT good. Oregano is a must visit, I’ll be back.

I honestly never had a want to try oxtail. In a moment of you only live once.. It was phenomenal! Fall off the bone tender, juicy. Fried plantain, was crispy and delicious! Staff super friendly including their piggy!! Go now and give it a try!!

Stopped in last night and ordered curry caribeño dine in and tacos kikirikkii to takeaway. The curry was great and the flavor of the tacos was good but the tacos were about 25% shards of chicken bones like the chef just chopped up the chicken bones and all. While the flavor was good and the service and atmosphere are great. Having bones in the tacos was an extreme disappointment especially because they were to go so we only realized it when I arrived at home

I think the food quality has gone downhill a bit in the last year. Still enjoyed the ox tail along with the wandering live pygmy pigs. Very small place so it gets loud. Love the bartender and his beverage delivery talent.

What a great Caribbean restaurant I had the oxtail tacos Colombian style the main was Caribbean muscles in nectar with Caribbean seasoned fries. On the side. I topped that off with the rum punch and made it a proper evening. Multiple people I was with ordered the oxtail which is a specialty and a highlight of the restaurant. So rich, just melts in your mouth. The muscles were amazing as well with a very generous portion, perfectly cooked and seasoned. If I lived here this would be something I would be eating often. And don't forget the cute pet pig cruising around making sure you don't drop anything.

The atmosphere, the service, the flavor, the spice... Magnificent!! I rarely give 5 starts in all 3 categories, but this place gets them all! I ordered the Caribbean Basket w/oxtails, Caribbean Cury w/ Shrimp & the Mezcalinha. Though I prefer a sweet plantain with my oxtails, the fried green ones were a perfect match. The Mezcalinha is hands down the best drink I've ever had! It was a perfect mix of Mezcal & Passion fruit, which are two of my favorites!! My cousin ordered the Caribbean Wings & Braised Oxtails, and I sampled each. Let me just say, I have zero doubt that you'll order anything from here that you wouldn't be pleased with. Everything we had was phenomenal!

This place should be full every night! The food is amazing, those Cajun fries with the ribs were otherworldly. We got two portions of the ribs because they were spectacular. The drinks are beautiful, the desserts are small and well balanced which is exactly what you want after a large meal. And the staff are great! Ulises, our waiter, was vibrant and friendly, as well as super attentive. I can’t recommend enough! Oh, also, there’s the cutest little pig you can pet 🥰

The portions are small but the food ia delicious. I love the Caribbean flavors and the drinks are well made as well.

This place is SO good. The flavors are unique, like an explosion in your mouth, and unlike anywhere in Puerto Vallarta. The Caribbean cuisine is so good. The ribs are probably the best in PV. The oxtails are amazing. The service is excellent. They even have a real live pig that roams the restaurant. Cash only! There is an HSBC two blocks down.

This was my first time trying Caribbean food and will not be the last especially after dining at Oregano. I was blown away by the food’s quality, taste and depth. Oregano is the place for some great appetizing Caribbean foods. Both hosts that served us were very friendly, nice and provided excellent service. We had the tostones to start and it was phenomenal and delicious. 😍 Jokes aside, I think that I could easily eat many plates of tostones here as they were fantastic and super tasty! 😄 Additionally, we had the curried fried rice with sea bass and Chela’s Caribbean curry with tofu. 🤤 Both dishes were very well-executed and well-presented. The best part is that they were both very flavourful and inviting. We also had the rum cake and it was great! Price wise, it is not the cheapest restaurant out there but you definitely get the value for what you pay for. Overall, we had such a great experience at Oregano’s. The food and service was all fabulous. I totally recommend this place and we would return… Thank you Oregano for making some great eats! 💯

Yummy oxtail tacos for a starter. Very flavorful chicken wings - tiny, tender, seasoned deliciously. Curry rice with tofu was also very good.

The oxtail stands up with some of the best BBQ places I’ve eaten in the US. Definitely order it and definitely compliment the chef 😋 The curry fried rice with sea bass actually has more sea bass than rice. It’s like your mom’s feeding you. Get it ❤️ I’m just upset with myself that it took me this long to finally try this place, which is now officially on my favorite places roster in PV.

Everything we ordered from drinks, starters and mains were exceptional & delicious!! Everything was just bursting with flavors, fresh & delicious!! We are sad to discover this small but lovely eatery at the end of our PVR stay!! 🥹Highly recommended, but make a rez! Once you are tired of the all the tourist traps, you will enjoy this place!

I started an appetizer of plantains that were shaped into little bowls and filled with bolognese sauce. It was tasty, although for me, an odd combination of flavors. There were 2 other filling options to choose from—shrimp or oxtail. I also sampled my fellow diners chicken wing appetizers. They had a bit of a kick to them, and maybe a slight jerk flavor. They were tasty and served with potato wedges and a sauce that tasted like sweetened catsup. For my entree I had the bass in a coconut tomato cream sauce. I really wanted the sauce to have a stronger flavor as it was lacking a little something and the taste of the bass overpowered it. In fact, I didn’t finish the dish as the flavor was too fishy for me. For dessert, I opted for the coconut flan, which while flavorful, was almost too sweet. I really wanted to like this restaurant after all I’ve heard about it, but it’s unlikely I’ll return. The food was ok, but not worth the price in my opinion. It was visually pleasing though.

Probably one of my favourite restaurants in Puerto Vallarta, and most definitely Versailles. We came here every week for dinner. Get the oxtail, it’s phenomenal. The chef is amazing and gracious. Who can’t leave out taco the pig, the mascot of the restaurant.

Guys, I don’t give 5 stars unless everything met my ridiculous standards. Everything was beyond superb, from the service to the food to the pretty decent liquor selection… Admittedly all I had was the curry dish and a passionflower margarita, they were both excellent.
