We have been talking about trying this place since they opened and finally did Saturday night (29OCT22). Excellent service from the staff, the food was amazing, super fresh, not heavy at all and we left feeling full! The very berry lemonade was refreshing. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you haven’t yet. Pretty sure will be adding this into our “regular” rotation for healthier alternative.

My group and I finally came to stop by to try their food out and oh my goodness the food here was good and hard to believe it was ALL VEGAN. They were also reasonably priced and we left very full. The restaurant was clean and the staff were nice. Everything was so fresh too! The only few changes I recommend for this restaurant to consider is to maybe be a little more attentive. It was quite hard getting someone’s attention because they were all looking down at the kitchen. Also their Korean “Chicken” desperately needed something more fresh to come with the dish, maybe with cilantro. The sauce is extremely rich and dense. Maybe even bigger tables would be nice. Restaurant is big yet 4 people on the table had our elbows and legs bumping to each other constantly. Overall, we would all love to come back again to try their other vegan ramens and to recommend others to this amazing restaurant.

They have mapo tofu ramen. Drop your current plans and go try their ramen. It’s great. The place is big and welcoming. Bring a game and chill, enjoy some great food and relax. Full of flavor, and values that you will fall in love with.

I love what this place offers. Such good plant based ramen at a good price. Even for meat eaters. You must get the ginger ale. It's homemade with pieces of ginger soaking at the bottom of your glass. I'd come back for this alone. They do have AC, and are dog friendly.

I was so shocked and excited to find vegan ramen in PV! I was not disappointed! The atmosphere is pretty chill it's on the ground floor of a hostel. The staff was really friendly and helpful. My husband and I each had a different ramen and both enjoyed them. Mine had lots of peanuts and spice. We also had some crispy gyoza that were pretty tasty as well. The restaurant was clean and felt safe. I'm really happy that there is a growing vegan community in PV and I would definitely go back to Vegan Ramen Mei!

We've made an effort to try vegan ramen everywhere we travel. Never would I have guessed we be eating while in Mexico... and we were very surprised. The Korean fried chicken and ramen were the best I have had yet. We will be coming back before we leave for sure. ラーメンは美味しかったです!

We were shocked to have found a vegan restaurant that we havent been to yet here in Vallarta. This adorable, cool, and relaxing place is a bit hidden! and could use a bit more window marketing. We were OVER THE MOON with their food and ordered way too much (or just the right amount 😉). The orange chicken, the gyoza 🥟, edamame, soups, service were all beyond belief. We cannot wait to go back! Plus there is an adorable puppy that is there and played with our mini doxie the whole time (he loved it). Would recommend to anybody and will be back soon. MIL GRACIAS 💖✨🍜

Honestly has to be one of the best ramens I have ever tried! They truly were able to fuse both the Japanese and Mexican culture together! Loved the soulless ramen🥵💖

From the name it’s an easy guess that this is a Japanese place with a fully plant based menu. We ordered the Karage chick-in ( soy protein), the Yokohoma Tantan Ramen and the Tokyo Shoyu ramen. The Karage was really crispy outside with a spicy interior and great balance of flavors and seasoning. The ramen was really finger licking delicious. The Tantan ramen had a really flavorful mushroom broth with addition of peanuts, bok-choy cilantro soy protein, nori( dried seaweed ) and I added the shitake mushrooms as extra. The other ramen had a flavorful broth with the addition of peanuts. The balance of flavors were really great with mild spiciness and great umami flavor. This is a must try place in Puerto Vallarta.

Probably the best vegan ramen I’ve ever had, having tried top spots in NYC & Toronto. I’m gluten free & appreciated the gluten free noodles! My dining companions are not vegan and they loved it too! My husband said the vegan duck tasted like the real thing. Service was very warm and friendly. It is a casual spot, great for the food more than the ambiance.

Absolutely amazing Vega food ! The texture and the spices are fantastic

The food was an unexpected delight! The ramen had such a rich broth that it astonished me there was no meat used to impart the depth of flavor they extracted. I was similarly dazzled by the orange soy “chicken.” The texture was phenomenal, both crispy and light and delicious— amazing for soy! I don’t know how they do it, but this may be the best vegan food I’ve ever enjoyed! Bravo!!!

A JOY-CRY-WORTHY EXPERIENCE FOR VEGANS AND EVERYONE. The food at Vegan Ramen Mei PV is very, very, good. I cried inside when I saw the menu—all vegan. I cried more when I tasted the food... I cried when we left. All tears of joy. All that we ordered is pictured. I strongly recommend stopping here on your next visit to PV. I am beyond grateful we found this amazing vegan spot on Xmas eve, stocked up with some togo orders in preparation for restaurant closures over the holiday. Peace, love, and unity. 💖Zach ✨

This place is a must-visit for vegans and non-vegans alike! The food is incredible (we loved the BBQ chicken and mapo tofu), the service is great, and the drinks are delicious - definitely try the ginger kombucha. 100% recommend visiting when you’re in Puerto Vallarta!

Was here in past trips and like the taste of the ramen dishes so went back again. This time, had the bian bian (dried pulled noodle) and ramen Soju (soup ramen). Flavor was tasty but both were served Luke-warm (told the server on our way out). Service was lacking…asked for a small plate - never arrived. Trying to get attention of wait-staff (all huddled at cash register) both for some hot sauce and check took a while. Food took a long time to come after order even though place was not busy and all the staff were standing behind the counter. No one come to assure us our order was coming. A bit pricey (330 pesos USD17.96) for two bowls of noodles.

Amazing Ramen! We ordered a Mapo tofu Ramen and Tokyo Shoyu Ramen both were delicious. The broth and noodles were both flavorful. I will recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat vegan ramen in PV.

What a nice surprise! I honestly didn’t expect much because it’s a vegan ramen place. But all the dishes we ordered were flavorful and satisfying. Fried Chicken didn’t really have the texture of real chicken but I still enjoyed it. The Shibuya Mazemen was really tasty. Definitely will be back next time in Puerto Vallarta.

Hands down BEST meal I've had on this trip to PV as well as the best vegan meal ever! The Yokohama Tantan is amazing! Very rich and creamy broth with a nice kick that flows over the tongue like velvet. The nice people at the next table let me sample a gyoza which was equally as impressive. WOW! Whether you're vegan or not, this restaurant is a must try.

Our favourite vegan spot in PV :) The ramen are all amazing & you have to try the vegan orange ‘chicken’

Ramen is soooo great here! Lots of ramen to choose from (spicy, traditional, creamy, or dry). The appetizers are very yummy as well. Love to each get a ramen bowl and split one of the “chicken” apps. The staff are super nice and always in a great mood.

Coming back to Puerto Vallarta 4 years after covid, I’ve been discovering new vegan restaurants. This is very exiting considering the vegan scene hasn’t been too large here. First up is Vegan Ramen MEI. Let me tell you, this place exceeded mine and my husband’s expectations! I ordered the Tokyo Shoyu and he had the Yokohama Tantan. SOOO delicious! Possibly some of the best vegan ramen I’ve had to date! We also had edamame, ginger lemonade(spicy and refreshing), orange chicken(small), Korean chicken(small), both were super crispy and light, and we ended with mochi for dessert! All was all equally scrumptious!!! We definitely ordered too much food, and took back plenty of leftovers. We just couldn’t resist trying it all! Lol If you’re visiting PV and are vegan or want a meat free option, this place comes highly recommended.
