The servers here were very polite and spoke English and Spanish. Our drinks were delicious. There are a good variety of foods to select from too. The internet is fast!!! There are a few stools for sitting outside and 8 small tables inside the restaurant. Some of the chairs are more comfortable when you want to sit and relax. There are washrooms. You can buy fresh roasted coffee here in small bags, 250grams. And you can get food and drinks for take-out.

I've been here regularly for 6 months, coming about 25-30 times maybe 2-3x a week. Coffee is cheap, and decent quality. Staff is really nice, although they often push customers to always order food. Ambience is really nice and cute. It can be a bit loud because it's so quiet but pretty common for PV. Today I had a really bad experience and won't be going back. I came in, ordered a coffee and sat down with my laptop for about 45 minutes. I paid and they gave me a small card in English saying "This is not a coworking or office space, do not stay for more than one hour" and the woman told me "this is for next time". What a short sighted comment, It's so rude. I won't be coming back ever again. I recommend Carmesi Cafe for anyone in the neighbourhood, the coffee at Carmesi is organic and higher quality.

Claudia was very rude and I would never go back there . She attacks anyone who writes truthful review about the place that she works . She also lies and fabricates stories . I rented a room from her upstairs from the cafe. It smelled bad, had bugs, and the pictures did not accurately depict the place . She lashed out at my review and told lies about me and our stay. I cancelled because it was a disgusting place to stay. You can see from her previous responses to reviews , that she does not accept constructive criticism , and lashes out at people in anger. Stay away. I read that she kicked someone out of her cafe , because they only ordered a coffee

UPDATE: I have just downgraded the review from originally a nuanced (impo) 2 stars to 1 star because the owner seems to like to smear critical reviews with fake justifications for bad policy actions to discredit constructive criticism, instead of any form of self reflection: the owner lies about the incident, because he doesn't know at all who I am quite clearly and just makes it up, as I certainly did NOT eat carnitas at all (or anything else that comes remotely near something like that) in the place! Very bad business practice and a huge disappointment; I was expecting more of an agree to disagree kind of reaction, for which I would have had all the respect. Original review: In general I think it is an average place, nothing really special to be honest. Had a coffee there and it is was fine, but there are better places for better coffee, so not really impressed. I have to say they do have comfortable seats. However, when we asked for the wifi password, we got an excuse that wifi was not good and the waitress ended up not giving the password, which I found extremely odd. Then the second thing is that while I strongly believe that every cafeteria has the right to set its own policies, BUT I personally do NOT like places that have the policy of consuming any items you are already carrying yourself, while consuming the venue's products as well (and I strongly believe this is a very ill-advised policy, doing more damage to the customer experience than doing any marginal good). I think it is horrible service and forces the staff to complain to customers about it while plenty other (coffee) places function just fine AND have a much better, welcoming customer experience and atmosphere because they don't complain about this stuff. Creating unnecessary friction with customers should be avoided as much as possible, and having such policy will achieve the opposite. So I won't go as far as giving a 1 star, because in all fairness, the place overall isn't that bad either (even though I think reviewers giving 5 starts are overrating the place impo), but that policy is just ill-advised and staff actually enforcing is even worse. So I would strongly suggest to get rid of that policy OR instruct staff to ONLY bother truly bad offenders about it (like a group of 10 people that bring their own complete meals and start eating there, then not even order any item from the cafetaria... in such an extreme scenario I imagine it could be justified to enforce such a rule)

Amazing hidden gem in PV! I ordered the Salmon toast and it did not disappoint. Their sourdough bread is delicious. Servings are very generous. The coffee is really good too!

If you didn't know better you would think you're in Paris! This hidden gem of a Café, is quaint, sophisticated with an air of international flare. Better yet the food and drinks are super freshly prepared and presented! Spend your day there sometime. It will be your fav. Peace out!

The 'Cheers' of Coffee Shops. CV is a place to be among friends, even if you have never been there. Smoked Salmon Bagel and Spanish Panini are my favorites-But all the food is great. Also, check out the ground coffee for sale-It's great quality and better value than what you'll find at the Super.

Good quality coffee, friendly staff and wide variety menu, my kids love the taro frappe and the waffles. I always order a caramel latte and my husband an espresso.
