It was close to lots of shopping within walking distance and we walked to the airport/marina saving on taxi expenses. The port where you do all the cruise tours from is about a 40 minute walk which was no big deal to us and added some extra sights/exercise to the vacation. Walking to the beach from here was less than an hour but beach access was difficult to find. You need to take Calle Bocanegra since it is the closest public access. All we needed out of a place to stay was a clean bed and bathroom and this place has it at an amazing price in a great location. My wife was concerned about the neighborhood since it was surrounded by dirt roads and there were about 4 blocks of what seemed like a run down area before hitting the main road. We walked that route at least 8 times even late at night and didn't feel unsafe at all. Staff was friendly and helpful. We liked hearing people playing in the pool. You'll hear the occasional dog barking nearby but the whole experience felt like an extra quaint adventure to our trip and we'd stayed the previous 4 nights at the Villa del Palmar. Easy 5 star rating for the price!

Nice place, must be fairly new. This is a low budget hotel with soft comfortable beds, every bit as comfortable as comfort in. Rooms are very clean. Staff is very helpful. Hot water works well (let water run for a minute or 2). No air in the room we stayed in but alot cooler in room than outside. Stayed there with 4 children youngest being 1 and 3 years old. All had a good night. We will definitely be back. Close to airport located behind Best Western. Little restaurants and stores within a few blocks.
