In A Nutshell: -After visiting PV multiple times I finally booked tickets to see Rhythm of the Night a Cirque du Soleil show which you take a catamaran boat to the private beach of Quimixto. -I highly recommend booking the VIP tour, you might not find it online, but if you ask your hotel concierge (mine happened to be Hotel Mousai) they usually have their own special packages. -The VIP ticket is great b/c you get priority seating, enter the show earlier, exit the show earlier & eat first. -Like 75% of all excursions in PV, this show is run by Vallarta Adventures. -This is a highly organized & professional company, they will take care of you from start to finish. -You will meet at the main port, pay the dock fee in 30 pesos (around $1.50 more or less), get your boarding ticket, your wristband, then board the catamaran. -The boat ride lasts around 1 hour to get to Quimixto, it can be a little choppy, but the air feels really good. -You also get free drinks. -The boat ride back the crew performs a bonus an entertaining musical dancing show. -After you dock to the private beach (if it's raining you are handed an umbrella), you then walk along the enchanted path that has small candles & light music to make you feel like you have transported to another world (think Disney World's Avatar Flight of Passage vibe). -If it's raining the staff will provide you heavy-duty ponchos, which barely anyone wore b/c they get hot (it's already humid). -After everyone is seated the awesome show begins w/ the main character who will highlight various audience members, so be prepared to have the spotlight on you potentially hahaha! -The entire show is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G, from start to finish it's so cool to see human strength, coordination & emotions. -After the show is over, you will exit in an orderly fashion, then guided to your dining areas. -Trust me there is no need to rush to the food, there is plenty of space & food for all. -The food is buffet style, so if you are very hungry you can go for seconds, thirds, etc... -There are also plenty of private bathrooms too. -After eating you can start migrating towards the boats & wait in an open area by the beach until you hear the sound they make indicating it's time to board again in an organized & orderly fashion by boat number. Overall, Rhythm of the Night is worth all the time & money you spend dedicated to the entire experience. I highly, highly suggest going to this show during your vacation in Puerto Vallarta!

This experience was really fun! There was a line at the check-in location, and then we waited in a room with chairs until it was time to board the boat. Port security was fast and easy, and the boat boarded quickly. The open bar is quici and responsive. Rarely a line. They come around and see if you need refills too. The boat ride was a bit longer than I expected, but they had music and there was seating for everyone. When we got to the private beach location, they docked and then we just followed the paths until someone told us where to sit for dinner. The line for food moved along pretty smoothly, and there was a good variety of dish options. Tasty food, and a really nice and unique setting to enjoy the meal. We had a little time after dinner to explore the area, which we really enjoyed. The hammocks down on the beach are really cool, and there are lots of cozy little areas for you to hang out and enjoy the view. We had fun hiking around until we had to head to the show. We got seated fairly close to the stage, and then it was probably 20 minutes or so before the show started. The first part was funny, and then it starts into the main show with acts that tell a story (which I didn't understand because it was mostly in Spanish). We didn't mind though, the acts were honestly so entertaining either way. The acrobatics we're stunning. We loved the show, and the boat ride back was nice. They reserved the upstairs deck of the boat for those who wanted to relax in the quiet, and then they had a show downstairs for those who didn't want the party to end. We sat upstairs in the breeze and enjoyed some pineapple juice while we watched the fish jump. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

Booking online was easy. Check-in at the port was also easy. We went with the VIP, and I think it was worth it. It got us on the boat first, so better seating. Got us to the buffet first, so no waiting in line. Leaving though, something happened and we ended up the last to leave the show. The drinks and entertainment on the boat ride there and back were great! The buffet was good. Nothing to write home about, but not a disappointment either. The show itself was excellent! We had so much fun!

The show was absolutely amazing! The buffet dinner was a 4 out of 5 stars. The shrimp, fish were delicious and don’t forget about the pastries. Stay away from the overly cooked chicken. Be prepared to take bug spray, comfortable shoes (steep walking in sand) and a light sweater. Mask are required to board and dock.

The beginning was fantastic! We got on a boat and did a cruise through Banderas bay with plenty of drinks and some appetizers. The water was a little choppy so you have to wear flat shoes as you can slip and fall because the decks sway and get wet. The hosts on the boat were amazing along with the beautiful views. Once we got there things went downhill. There were 4 other boats being unloaded so we had to wait till they were finished. If you get seasick I would not recommend. We were stuck on the boat not moving for about 10-15 minutes and the waves were bad, boat heavely rocking side to side. When we got off it was about 9 pm. We thought we were going to dinner but they took us to the show first. We were extremely hungry as it was already late. It was very buggy, humid, bats flying low, crabs walking around reasy to pinch. The show was good but when you are hungry and hot it is hard to focus. After 1 hour we got ushered slowly to our tables because it was a full group. By the time we sat down to eat we were so hot and tired it was not even enjoyable. The food was okay not anything authenticto me. The boat ride back took forever and we all were just so tired and wanted it to be over. I think they really need to feed people before the show not after otherwise I wouldn't have even wasted the money. Plus there is a additional port fee of $30 peso per person on top of the $298 US, and tip the waiters, tip the boat hosts and bartenders. I wouldn't do it again.

If you want a good show this is it! I've been to dozens of vegas shows over the years and the cast of Rhythms of the night are the same or better in all areas. It's very entertaining. I talked to two different couples that were going multiple times on their trip. I really had no idea how this whole event worked, so I'll break it down for others wondering because it is a 5 hour commitment or more. The basic jist is 5 five parts... arrival, boat ride out, show, dinner, boat ride back. Arrival - get to the PV Marina early. Its confusing but tons of workers will point you in the right direction. You need to start by getting a port fee. Again just ask around. Then you will get directed to the Vallarta Adventures office to claim your tickets. They will offer vip options for more money. I did and they do put you right up front for the show, and you get on the boat going out first. I'm pretty sure none of that really matters and normal tickets are great. It seems like all the seats give you great views on the boats, in the show, and at dinner. Your call on VIP. Boat ride out- i liked the top floor of the boat for the views and open feeling. They give you all you can drink and the have little snacks. Neither are anything to write home about but they are not stingy at all. The crew will introduce themselves and are all fun. This ride is an hour. Show-awesome. You arrive to a beautiful pier and performers waving to you as you go by towards the pyramid amphitheater. Really a neat way to arrive. It's a variety acrobatic and performance show. The cast is top tier. The setting and stage awe inspiring and very well done. Just top marks all around. No drinks during show unless you walk on an adventure level walk to get them. The show was a solid hour. Dinner-buffet food and more drinks but now you can order what you want. Tip your waiter. I didn't find anything to love about the food but it was fine. My girfriend loved it. The view and the setting are wonderful. Really, you should enjoy relaxing with your friends and family by the ocean. We strolled to the beach and hung out in the hammocks. Hour. Boat ride back- they had a ridiculous but fun show on the way back on the bottom floor. That's if you are not sleeping up top. The crew puts a ton of energy into the show. It's contagious, so you should enjoy but it's not the same level as the main show. Just nice they do it and like I said it's fun. Hour. Highly recommended, different, fun and an incredible value for all you get. DO NOT MISS IT.

Family of 4 went to watch the show. We went there 30 minutes ahead and was designated on the second boat. We bought the VIP thru vallarta adventure website at 40% during labor day. I really recommend to buy ahead to save 30% and also recommend VIP as you are really treated as VIP. You will be given a paper bracelet that differentiates you between VIP and general. As VIP, you really get into and out of the boat first. Also, you was designated on better seating during the show. Also, there is desinated area for eating. Not so many people on the VIP eating area. The show was good like typical cirque du soleil show and the food and drink was plenty. Just remember as the trip took an hour and when you get there, it depends on the weather. Sometimes you eat first and sometimes you watch the show first. In our case, we watch the show first meaning super hungry. The boat ride was also super fun and the service was absolutely amazing. The boat crews are very talented.

As soon as we were past the security checkpoint and on the boat, the party started. Drinks flowed and everyone was dancing. Staff were very helpful, friendly and generous. The buffet meal provided before the show was excellent. The boat docks at a secluded part of the coastline south of the main city, and was set up with a very cool Tiki vibe.

Amazing experience. I highly recommend if visiting Puerto Vallarta or the surrounding towns. Very romantic. The show was magnificent. Food was amazing, good quality. The catamaran ride was beautiful and very fun on the way back. We returned around midnight. I suggest wearing comfortable shoes or sandals. Buy your tickets in advance to receive the discount.

Got the package through our all inclusive resort. You can upgrade to VIP for first board and seats to show ( but not necessary) plenty of good seats. The cruise is about an hour each way - resorts tells you to get there at least 30 min before boarding - ( but when you get there it’s actually a full hour before- guess they wanna be sure no one misses it!) the dinner buffet is good nothing great - BUT the service is great and the show was AMAZING!! Very very talented performers. Highly recommend- cannot beat the great people that work this from check in at the boat launch to the boat crew to the great people in the “jungle” views are breathtaking

Booked VIP tickets for Rhythm of the night and had a great time!! Once boarded on the boat, they start serving you drinks during the entire 1 hour boat ride, it was super scenic and fun. When we got to the island, it was like something out of a fairytale, the place was incredibly beautiful with the water and fire torches everywhere to light the way. We were seated by the water for dinner since we got VIP tickets. The dinner was buffet style and they had a server to bring you drinks. The cocktails were delicious and well made, the food was delicious. Eating by the water and candlelight was incredibly romantic. The washrooms and facilities on the island were clean and easy to find. They literally have staff everywhere to help you find your way. After dinner we had some time to explore, they had hammocks by the water which was nice to relax in. The show started a little after dinner and we were seated in the front row. The show is performed in an outdoor theatre. The performance was nothing short of amazing. After the performance we took another hour boat ride to get back, they began serving drinks again durthe ride but we were pretty drunk by then so we stopped drinking. This is an absolutely wonderful experience, I would recommend it to everyone to go at least once.

Very well organized, way too much fun on the boat rides both ways, rum punch was awesome, meal was first class as was the show. Staff are all amazing. Would definitely do this again. 5 stars all the way. The only downside was them asking $60 USD for pics they took, I didn’t buy them but after paying $300 USD to see the show, the pics should have been free or more reasonable.

An amazing experience. Dinner was simple but good. Their island was lit up with hundreds of candles, making it very romantic and relaxing. And of course, the show was amazing. I wish the show was longer.

One of the best shows you can see in PV. A great meal followed by a wonderful show (Cirque du Soleil style) It's all happens on a beach inlet that is only admissable by boat. Plan ahead for the show and I recommend doing the VIP, your off the boat first and front row seats.

Amazing show, reminded me so much of a Cirque show, but on a slightly smaller scale. Boat ride to venue not boring, appys and drinks available, pending on what time you book sunset view. When you get to the venue, I was excited with what I saw and intrigued with what they show could be. Dinner was amazing , though a little short due to need to return to boat for ride home, wished we could have enjoyed it a bit longer and walked around and explored a little, even in the dark. The birds that joined us on the ride home, I hope they were able to catch some dinner, along with the amazing crews last show for us on the boat.

We did the carnival tour, and it was amazing from start to finish. The show was fantastic if it was exceptional and the entertainment from the bartenders. On the way back capped off a wonderful night. Perfect for all ages, you are outside in the heat so be prepared, it’s worth it.

We travelled with Vallarta Adventures. The boat ride to and from Las Caletas was amazing. Very lively and loud however made for a great atmosphere. The staff were excellent and kept drinks topped up and the atmosphere flowing. The captain stopped the boat for people to take photos of an incredible sunset. The boat ride and staff 10/10. The show took place in a very unique and beautiful setting. It lasted approximately 30 minutes which felt short. The acts on display were your typical circus acts with dancing in-between. The food was overall disappointing. The seating areas for food were stunningly beautiful and all candle lit. However the food did not match as it was a buffet with approx 10 items on and it was a struggle to make a meal. The dessert buffet was ok but purely consisted of cakes. Overall we had a good evening but felt for the price paid that it was not worth the money hence the 4/5 rating and not the full 5 stars.

My recent visit to "The Rhythm of the Night show with dinner" in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, left me with mixed feelings about the experience. The advertised price of $159 per person initially seemed reasonable, but I was surprised to find that an additional fee of MX$40 was charged upon arrival, without a clear explanation from the staff. Furthermore, the VIP option carried an additional charge of $40 per person, but it didn't provide any significant benefits, as the seating arrangements were no different from those of the regular option. Luckily, we didn’t purchase it. However, it did allow for priority boarding and being served dinner first. Although the boat ride was a pleasant experience, the watered-down rum punch, margarita, and cold temperature proved to be underwhelming. The drink had a high ratio of ice and lacked the expected alcoholic content. In hindsight, it would have been advisable to bring a sweater or coat, as the ride can be quite chilly. The show itself was enjoyable, but it didn't stand out as an exceptional or extraordinary experience. However, the true highlight of the night was the 20-minute show put on by the boat staff on the way back, (BOAT#16, XVI) which made up for the earlier disappointments. Dinner was serviceable, but nothing out of the ordinary, resembling a typical American-style buffet, like that found at "Golden Corral." Patrons are advised to arrive early, but check-in only takes a couple of minutes, and waiting time can be extensive. Finally, it's worth mentioning that opting for an Uber ride when returning from the show can prove to be a more affordable option than relying on local transportation providers, such as street hustlers. Overall, "The Rhythm of the Night show with dinner" in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, might be worth considering as an option for something to do, but prospective patrons should keep an open mind and be aware of its pros and cons.

If you visit Puerto Vallarta, you must do this tour, Alma, by Rhythms of the Night. You cruise to an island while the sun is setting, have an awesome buffet dinner by candlelight next to the ocean and then the Alma show is Amazing! Very much like Cirque du Soleil but better.

Absolutely amazing !! Cesar & his team were extremely attentive and gave us the best experience possible. Make sure to ask for him when making your reservation he's the reason I'll definitely be going back. Food was phenomenal and they even give you umbrellas in case it rains so you can still enjoy the show. I have traveled to PV numerous times and I am so glad I was able to finally experience this event and all that it has to offer. ONLY thing to be aware of is this event will last all night. You won't be eating until after the show so if you're used to eating or going to bed early like myself you might need to prepare. They will have little snacks available on the boat ride to the show but I personally still wish I would have eaten before going just to hold me over a little longer.

The show was awesome. The food so so. Do not get VIP. We were first on the boat. Then passages were allowed to stand and sit right in front of us block our view. First off treat at buffet but folks were getting in line before getting a table. Had close to stage. Went it was time to get back on the boat, instead of saying VIPs for boats 16 and 4 may go. They just told everyone. Which made the VIP the last one the boat. This was and is unacceptable. We paid $40 US for this service. Again show was great! VIP DON'T DO IT!!!

We had been to Puerto Vallarta many times on cruises, and this time stayed late, so we were able to see the rhythm of the night. Acrobatics show and dinner, we booked through Carnival cruise. The show is good but not like circuit the solei. My recommendation is to wear long pants and a shirt or bring with you mosquitoes repellant.

Rhythms of the Night Review: Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ (4.75 out of 5 stars) "Rhythms of the Night" is an extraordinary and breathtaking show that is a must-watch for anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta. My wife and I opted for the open bar package, and from the moment we stepped onto the boat, we were greeted with a flow of alcohol and an ambiance filled with good vibes. The journey to the island itself was a delight, thanks to the amazing and friendly crew. The performers on the island delivered a stunning and breathtaking show, capturing our attention with every move. While the food was just average and not particularly memorable, this minor detail hardly impacted our overall experience. In conclusion, "Rhythms of the Night" offers an incredible experience that shouldn't be missed. The combination of a welcoming crew, fantastic performances, and an overall enchanting atmosphere outweighs the unremarkable culinary offerings. This show is a gem in Puerto Vallarta, deserving high praise for providing an unforgettable evening.

Let me start by saying the actual show was good. We enjoyed it. The theater seats are extremely uncomfortable. The food was buffet style (not at all what’s shown in the brochure but decent and service was good. The boat ride back was freezing bring something warm (I’m writing this in January). What really ruined the entire experience was arriving back. Imagine landing over 200 people in a dimly lit street in Mexico and unless your hotel prearranged transportation back you’re fending for a cab to get yourself and family back safely. 1 hr plus later with basically everyone else gone (and don’t bother trying to get uber) we’re put in a shady cab with my kids and up charged grossly for the 10 min cab ride and he didn’t have change so he gave himself a tip. Had we been forewarned I would have made prior arrangements but they assured us on the boat that they would have cars waiting. And they did not. I’m completely disappointed by the lack of organization.it wasn’t worth the aggravation
