Absolutely fantastic! This was our second visit to this cozy restaurant and once again, we had an amazing time. Our servers were delightful and attentive, made excellent recommendations, and executed perfect cross-service. Nice job guys! La Gallega has quickly become one of our go-to spots and on both of our visits, we’ve brought guests from out of town, who have all said they would absolutely come back. The mussels, croquettes, and mushroom-truffle pizza were the stars of the show, but everything we tasted was fabulous. Reasonably priced, welcoming, and such an inviting space. Thanks again guys! We will be back soon!!

We had tasty Luras fritadas (fried calamari), Trufada (pizza with mushrooms and truffle oil), pinxtos (small bite sandwiches, one with goat cheese, and the other with gorgonzola). XX lager was also good.

Awesome gem in the Versalles neighbourhood - unassuming place but delightfully decorated - so welcoming. The menu was impressive and we will definitely be back so we can try some of the other items. Tonight we had the Spanish omelette, the squid, and the alioli potatoes - and it was great for 2 people. Really attentive staff. We can't wait for next time!

A must stop in Versalles...like being invited into someone's home.  Small and charming, this restaurant offers a great choice of cocktails and small plates featuring Spanish cuisine. We tried 2 Gin tonic cocktails and found them refreshing for the early evening heat. These were large with plenty of mint and limon.  David then had a mezcal-based cocktail with grapefruit which he loved. We decided to try a number of tapas and were pleased with the choices: we started with toasts and different toppings including brie, carmelized onion and goat cheese, and then bacon with brie. Then came the tapas selections: octopus on potato, mussels swimming in olive oil, ensalada fresca (strawberry with goat cheese, prosciutto, and fig, and calamari with a delicious strawberry dipping sauce - makes me never want to go back to cocktail sauce again!  These all tasted so good, we added an order of croquettes which were delicious.  Wr got so excited when each course was served that we didn't take any pictures of the food! Both waiters were very good at pacing the arrival of each dish, and made sure we were satisfied with our choices, even recommending a couple which added to the perfect meal. The fun of exploring these delicious dinners was enhanced by owner Augustin.  He wanted our opinions and shared his passion for his baby - La Gallega. Prices are very reasonable: $60 for two rounds of (generous-size) cocktails, all the tapas selections mentioned above, and a dessert of refried milk ( just wait until you try it!).  We are two big guys but we felt very satisfied at the end of this meal.  Not only with the food but the entire experience!

The staff was nice. The pork loin tapa was maybe 3 bites and just okay. The beef burger was prepared excellent...not overly grissley, strong on garlic, but nothing especially uniquely Spanish. The potato chips stole the show! We would rate this one higher if we hadn't waited at least 45 minutes for 2 beef burgers when there were only 2 other tables being served.

Service, atmosphere, food and drinks are all exceptional! Such a warm, inviting and comfortable space, and what delicious food! We started with a couple tasty mezcal cocktails and then sipped on Spanish and Portuguese wines as we snacked on a variety of delectable small plates. I’ve never been to Galicia but I felt transported while dining here. Pure magic ✨

Easily the best meal we've had in Puerto Vallarta. The food was tapas but with a Galician twist. Augustin was very kind. He gave us great drink recommendations and told us a little about the Galicia-inspired mural in the restaurant. The house pizza paired with a 1906 Estrelle beer was great.

Phenomenal!!!! Los cocteles y la comida fueron deliciosos, comida de la región de Galicia. Agustín, el dueño es muy amable. Recomiendo mucho esta joya!! The food and cocktails were delicious, the mezcal, cardamom and pineapple cocktail was the best I’ve had in all of Mexico. The food is traditional Galician food from this region of Spain. The service is outstanding and Agustin the owner is so friendly! I highly recommend this gem!!

Lovely setting and staff - authentic food from the North of Spain! Octopus tapas was delicious, the patatas bravas were decent, and the pizza was good too. Good neighbourhood find!

This place looked very cool from the outside so we stopped by with a friend for drinks two days ago. We loved the cocktails and decided to come back for tapas tonight and WOW!! We started with the Padrón Pementos and two different mezcal cocktails and all were delicious. For dinner I ordered the Beef Galeguesa burger and chips and my hubby ordered their house specialty Polbo A Feira with Cachelos, a beautiful octopus dish. Both had amazing flavor and came with a beautiful presentation. Agustin, the owner and his staff were excellent and made us 🏳️‍🌈 feel very much at home. We are so happy to be discovering amazing places like this in our new neighborhood.

Very authentic and delicious food. We specially loved Lacon de Porco and Croquetas de cocido. The staff is very friendly, and the owner ensured we had a nice time as well, by telling us more about the plates and his home country Galicia. The place is cozy with a happy atmosphere. We will always return when we are in Puerto Vallarta!

I can't believe we've never been here before...we've been missing out! Such a cute spot with kind and friendly service and fair prices. But as is always most important, the food is just terrific. We are big fans of Spanish good, and are ao happy to have this restaurant in Vallarta. There were only two of us for dinner, so we couldn't order everything we would have liked (although we made our best effort!), but we really enjoyed everything we had. The Galician-style octopus was up there with some of the best we've had. The garlic shrimp were delicious with just the right amount of spice. The brie and gorgonzola pintxos were both a delight! The house white wine was excellent! We will be back soon!

We had an early dinner tonight at this little gem of a Spanish restaurant in the Versalles neighbourhood of Puerto Vallarta. To start, we shared the onion goat cheese and the camembert chestnut pintxos. Both were just the right level of crispy, crunchy toasted goodness under their respective toppings. The sweetness of the chestnut jam was a real surprise. We thought it was a honey drizzle but the sweetness was just the jam. Lovely. Then we shared one main, the Catch of the Day (marlin), and two tapas, the aioli potatoes and the garlic shrimp in olive oil. Everything was delicious. My hubby thought these were some of the best potatoes he'd ever tasted. The shrimp were just like the ones we lived in Spain. The marlin was fresh and meaty in a green sauce rich with olive oil and peppers. We can't wait to return to try the croquettes, octopus, and pizza.

This place vastly outperformed my expectations. It’s very difficult to find good Spanish food anywhere in the world outside of Spain. And let alone in Mexico where the gastronomy is so different. This food transported me back to Galicia. I could have been sitting at any random amazing Spanish taverna in northwest Spain. The service was lovely, the house winds were honestly too good for how expensive they were. I will be going back many times!

Our group of four just finished a wonderful experience at La Gallega a taberna do Porto. They had so many great tapas choices. We enjoyed the papas bravas, one of each of the pinchxos, a cheese plate, a la mirador pizza, and, my personal favorite, the Galician Octopus. All of our picks were well prepared and had great flavors. The prices are very reasonable and we also enjoyed the bottle of wine.

We had a delicious dinner here! We shared a Sardine sandwich, a bowl of fresh gazpacho and a thin, crispy rustic pizza. Enjoyed Ice cream with fried custard for dessert. Located in the Versalles neighborhood. Nice ambiance, extremely friendly staff. Full bar, great menu. We will be back!

We find our new favorite dish every time we go. Such good food! And the service and hospitality make it feel like you're eating at a friend's house. 10/10 recommend!

This place is a gem! If you want something small, niche, great food and nice service, come and try this place. It is not located at tourist area but can be reach by Uber. Food is not overly seasoned and price is right

Excellent Spanish food. It was our last meal in PV. What a great way to end our vacation. Delicious drinks. The shrimp and octopus was outstanding as was the pork tapa we tried. Big flavors, great presentation. The guava jam served with the “chihuahua” dessert was spectacular. Wonderful setting. There should be a line out of the door at this place!

Delicious food, attentive staff, and viñho verde! We’ve been twice in a week, and everyone working here remembered us from the first time. We could seriously alternate daily between here and Oreganos and never get tired of it. Definitely worth a visit. The owner truly wears his heart on his sleeve; ask him to show you why, and then thank me for telling you to come have a delicious meal here.

Spanish tapas. Scampi, salad, cheese board, saute peppers, papa's and dessert s plenty to fill us up. Great owner who was attentive, take next to us for a pizza and it looked awesome. Cool patio. Came back a year later. Owner remembered us plus we had recently been through Galacia region in Spain while hiking the Camino. This time, cheese board, papa's bravas, roasted Padrón Peppers, a veg pizza we designed and a bottle of Portuguese wine from the Duro Valley. Dessert description on the menu sounded bizzare (leite fritida infused milk thickened and fried, served with beer ice cream). Try it! It was great!
