A
must
stop
in
Versalles...like
being
invited
into
someone's
home.
Small
and
charming,
this
restaurant
offers
a
great
choice
of
cocktails
and
small
plates
featuring
Spanish
cuisine.
We
tried
2
Gin
tonic
cocktails
and
found
them
refreshing
for
the
early
evening
heat.
These
were
large
with
plenty
of
mint
and
limon.
David
then
had
a
mezcal-based
cocktail
with
grapefruit
which
he
loved.
We
decided
to
try
a
number
of
tapas
and
were
pleased
with
the
choices:
we
started
with
toasts
and
different
toppings
including
brie,
carmelized
onion
and
goat
cheese,
and
then
bacon
with
brie.
Then
came
the
tapas
selections:
octopus
on
potato,
mussels
swimming
in
olive
oil,
ensalada
fresca
(strawberry
with
goat
cheese,
prosciutto,
and
fig,
and
calamari
with
a
delicious
strawberry
dipping
sauce
-
makes
me
never
want
to
go
back
to
cocktail
sauce
again!
These
all
tasted
so
good,
we
added
an
order
of
croquettes
which
were
delicious.
Wr
got
so
excited
when
each
course
was
served
that
we
didn't
take
any
pictures
of
the
food!
Both
waiters
were
very
good
at
pacing
the
arrival
of
each
dish,
and
made
sure
we
were
satisfied
with
our
choices,
even
recommending
a
couple
which
added
to
the
perfect
meal.
The
fun
of
exploring
these
delicious
dinners
was
enhanced
by
owner
Augustin.
He
wanted
our
opinions
and
shared
his
passion
for
his
baby
-
La
Gallega.
Prices
are
very
reasonable:
$60
for
two
rounds
of
(generous-size)
cocktails,
all
the
tapas
selections
mentioned
above,
and
a
dessert
of
refried
milk
(
just
wait
until
you
try
it!).
We
are
two
big
guys
but
we
felt
very
satisfied
at
the
end
of
this
meal.
Not
only
with
the
food
but
the
entire
experience!
