Visited this restaurant for brunch last week and we were extremely delighted with the service and quality of food and drinks. The owners wife warmly greeted us and offered a number of options but I went for the Venezuelan breakfast. It came with a number of tasty sauces and I especially loved the ‘Hibiscus Chilli’ one. We even had a chance to meet the chef/owner. Will definitely visit again.

Cute and charming place, with delicious food! My first time having an arepa and it was so so good!! My other favorite food is empanada, I was in heaven. The sauces to accompany the food were also delicious. The avocado and jamacia were the best. I left with wanting more food, even though I was stuffed to the gills! The owners are very nice, sweet, and friendly. I can’t stop salivating and thinking of this delicious food. I cannot wait to visit again and eat more!

First time trying Venezuelan food. I am very impressed by how much details and love the chef put into the food and drinks. Each element is well prepared including the salsa. Thank you for being in Versalles! Will definitely go back more often!

What an amazing find Hola Arepas was. I had hired a car for a weekend break, and somewhat fortuitously came across the restaurant when exploring further afield for food options. As a vegan, the selection in PV is decent, but not enormous, and the options here felt like a whole new cuisine has been found. A lovely family restaurant ran with love and care, with low prices is always terrific to see. Everyone involved were hospitable and friendly, spoke excellent English (100x better than my Spanish), and were understanding of my dietary restrictions. Even better, they also do catering, and provided an amazing spread of vegan and gluten-free food for a birthday party. Everyone was effusive for the surprise food, no matter their diet. My only regret was finding them in my final weeks living in PV as I'd be a regular if I found them earlier!

My husband and I went to the restaurant after tasting chef’s food at a private dinner and his food was so delicious that we had to try the restaurant. As expected, Chef did not disappoint. The tastes of his food are so savory and all the flavors blend so well together. I had the empanadas with shrimp and one with cheese and black beans. My husband had the ground beef and cheese cachapa. Muy Rico! Service was excellent and friendly. This is a quaint street side restaurant run by a lovely family and delicious food. Please give Hola Arepas a visit.

Their arepas are fire 🔥We were in Puerto Vallarta for only a few days and we ate here about 5 times. My wife and I met Jean(the cook) and his wife who run the restaurant and you can tell they pour their heart into making really good homemade food and having a cozy vibe while playing some good music in the background. It reminded me of my hometown Cali, Colombia. We’ll be coming back for sure when we visit PV.

Muy Rico Champo! Amazing, my spouse is from Venezuelan, so it is hard to find a good authentic Venezuelan restaurant because I know how it suppose to taste. BUT this restaurant is good...one of the best Arepa's I ever ate.

I absolutely loved the arepas here. Super delicious with some of the most amazing sauces I have ever had. Their jamaica and jabonera sause is the best! It is absolutely worth it to come here and eat!

Food made with heart and a soul. The flavors are amazing. You can really feel the love and expertise that Chef puts into his food. I adore watching him prepare the meal, he is always smiling. Be sure to visit Hola Arepas. We are lucky to be living just a few blocks away and this has become a regular lunchtime stop. Completely run by the most lovely family. My favorite is of course trying all the different arepas and hubby loves the cachapas (these are large!) They have daily fresh juices and their homemade sauces burst with originality that make you want just keep eating. Be sure to to ask about their daily specials, you never know what you may be missing. You can also find them at the Marina Market on Thursday evenings.

If you are looking for a good, authentic, flavourful Venezuelan restaurant in PV this is it. We came all the way from Canada and where we live there is limited options of Venezuelan food so we really wanted to get some if possible while we were in PV. The chef's food is so good and it felt like going back home. I highly recommend you make the trip to this restaurant instead of the other Venezuelan places in PV. You will not be disappointed.

This was incredible. It may become an addiction. The arepa was flavorful with an amazing texture. The emapanada was fried perfectly with a sweet dough kind of like a savory donut. I would love to see an apple pie version some day.

This was our first time trying arepas and definitely was not disappointed. The friendly server explained the ingredients for us so we could order to our taste. Very flavourable and fresh. Was a nice touch that one of the chefs came out for our feedback. Will be recommending to our friends.

Killer food. Tried a peirna aprepa-- 10/10 delicious. Super tender meat in a crispy corn arepa. Also had the arroz pinto. Rice and beans as a hearty, satisfying meal. Complete with aromaticly spiced meat and a sweet note with the plantains. Highly, highly recommend.

Make time to visit Hola Arepas! Their food is expertly prepared and you can tell the chef really cares about the quality. We've visited several times and wish we had a restaurant of this quality near our home. The arepas and cachapas serve as a great vessel for all the delicious flavors they prepare. Don't forget to ask about their specials as you may never know what you're missing. Additionally their fried plantains really cannot be beat. A++ See you again on my next trip!

This restaurant is amazing! The food is super delicious and the service is great. It’s also located in a really cute neighborhood with pretty views of the mountains. 10/10 would recommend. If you’ve never tried an Arepa before, do yourself a favor and get to this restaurant ASAP.

Just fabulous! Stumbled (literally) into this tiny restaurant and got the biggest surprise! Arepas and empanada were delicious. The menu is equally meat based and vegetarian/vegan. It was wonderful to have the option to choose a non-meat dish, while husband got to enjoy the most tender, moist pork and cheese arepa ever. My veggie choice was also delicious. Chef and front of the house server 😉 beyond nice and totally service oriented. Definitely will be going back for more!!!

I had the opportunity to eat here, it’s a place with no pretension, but the food is so good. I’m Venezuelan, and their plates are true to our cuisine. Chef Jean Franconero and his wife put lots of love into their dishes, Stephanie’s attention is the best in town I truly recommend this place

So delicious. These folks opened their restaurant exclusively for us on Valentine’s Day. The food was delicious and they couldn’t have been more sweet and hospitable to us. A must stop resto in PV

The arepas were great, a little dry but the garlic sauce made things better. 10/10 for service. My server was kind and attentive. The empanadas were good but quite greasy.

What a taste treat. I had an arepa (a gluten free, white corn, pita pocket) filled with ground beef, black beans & cheese, topped off with garlic sauce. Super friendly service. Recommended.

The food is really excellent! From the sauce and the drinks you can easily feel the soul of the restaurant. We’ve ordered the plantain with shredded beef, the arepas with Rumbera. Everything just so tasty. We enjoyed the lunch here, the atmosphere is good and the price is reasonable that we will come back for sure. Tips, do not miss the dessert!!
