i had my bday party of ten arranged here . And you also get your decor the way you want by third party vendors. this place is nice for sunsets viewing river ganges and a drink. Music and all is not that good .

The floating hotel. One needs to cross a railway line to enter the lobby and then go to the ship which is permanently anchored and has the rooms. Since space is at premium the room size is very small but is generally comfortable. You can see Hooghly touching your rooms and we had a view of both the Howrah Bridge and the Vidyasagar bridge from our window. The steamers keep passing by on their ride and you suddenly realize strangers peeping into your room through the window - it is that close. They had an amazing collection of tea Darjeeling supplied from Dolly Tea and I had to ask for refills of tea sachets.

Ac not working, very tough to manage during hot and humid climate. Even cold drinking water is not served unless and until requested. The food is manageable. The price is too too high as compared to the service or taste is concerned. Personally one can try once for the view

When searching a suitable place to arrange a family get together and banquet on 27th November 2021, to celebrate my son’s marriage, Polo Floatel fascinated me most by its convenient location and unique identity of being a hotel on a barge, floating on the Kolkata’s ancient lifeline, Ganga. My guests were just a select hundred in number and so, from among five options Polo Floatel offered me, I hired their “Compass hall & deck”, about 2500 sq ft combination of half AC hall and half open deck which matched my requirement best. The occasion created a lasting impression among my guests. The ambience of the place was unparallel. Sales Executive Miss. Sayanti Das coordinated the whole program, starting from the introductory talks at the front desk a month ahead, through finalizing the menu by conferencing with Cheff Mr. Sujan, upto personally supervising the event till 10 pm on the date of the occasion, by teaming up with Mr. Sabbir, the highly efficient in-charge of the venue. No word of praise can match their service. Ours was a traditional Bengali family event and the full course dinner, comprising 23 items from welcome drink to desserts, charmingly harmonized with the taste of my guests. Qudos to Cheff Mr. Sujan.

The restaurant is full of inadequete and incompetent staff. They do not address you when you cant find a table. You have to find a table for yourself. Now if you find a table they dont clean it and you have to wait 10 mins and keep asking them to clean it. Now in the table you wont find any cutlery, tissues until and unless you ask for it several times. They serve you water after asking 4 times in a row. The waiters address ladies Tum/Tumi..... After asking several times they provided roasted peanuts with my drink which was soft and stale, seemed like it was served to someone else before me. I ordered a Rum which was Rs 249 as per there menu. But when the bill comes its written 2 Rums Rs 498. According to them, with no mention in the menu it is supposed to be 30 ml peg. So they are taking the price for 2 pegs as they had served me a 60ml. As far as my knowledge goes, even 5 star retaurants like the Bridge, at The Park being a 5 star hotel charges Rs 350 for 60 ml Rum and they have a proper menu mentioning the same. But this restaurant seems to be all stars with their quality of service and the price of food. This was my last visit to this place. And I will advise everyone to avoid such a place where they con you and provide you such a horrible service in return of the huge amount of money you spend. Last but not the least...they dont provide valet after 10 pm. The gaurd just handed over me the key and asked to find my car by myself.

Good ambience very nice vibe. service is really good. They have provisions for various flavours of hookah. The classic cocktails wwere.mafe to perfection. For the two food items I had ordered liked them both. Unique experience and vibe with the river Ganges flowing on the side ....beautiful experience

One of a kind place to unwind with great food, nice ambience, polite service, and unique location on a refurbished barge moored on the Ganges, minutes away from the central business district. The outdoor seating area is awesome, with cool river breeze and a breathtaking view of the river for company. Quality of food is top notch, serving one of the best mezze platter in the city. However, cocktail presentations, though creative, somehow miss the mark of leaving a lingering aftertaste and yearning for one serving more. And yah, the place has one of the cleanest and best maintained washrooms, an oft ignored but a very important consideration for a place worth a repeat visit. Kudos.

The Bar at Floatel Hotel, which is one of the unique in it's kind eco friendly hotel, located in between the river Hoogly waters, opposite to the Local Head Office of State Bank of India, next to the Millennium Park on the prestigious Strand Road, Kolkata. The hotel offers, Sunset and Sunrise rooms. the Sunset rooms are located on the river side and you can enjoy the beautiful view of the Hoogly river from the room. The rooms are not compact but provides you a unique experience. Staff is courteous and professional. But hotel needs to work more for overall cleanliness and service response time. Restaurant serves quality and tasty food and provides a option for dine in with beautiful River view.

The ambience was just superb. We sat outside on the open air deck. The evening Ganges, the setting sun and the background music, all made the evening perfect.
