Our Favourite Chinese place Mainland China came up with a brand new menu where you can enjoy new vibe and feel the same old warmth. The ambience is classic and vibrant. From wall decoration to front gate every thing just amaze me. We all love Dumplings and Sushis. From their new menu I just loved the Truffle Lobster dumplings. The flavour is mild and amazing. Now, let me tell about a pretty dumplings YES Blue pea & Spicy asparagus one is damn pretty. The pretty blue dumplings comes with cute red garnishing and the taste is even better. Fried tuna roll is delicious new addition in sushi section. From other starter options my favourites are Turnip cake salt and pepper and BBQ pepper chicken. It's time for the main course. We always prefer a good fried rice or noodles. So, you can try Hongkong stir fried noodles or chilli xo seafood Jasmine fried rice. You have to pair them up with Sanpei chicken. Every delicious journey end with a phenomenal dessert. This time it is Lemon Grass cheese Cake. Just loved the aroma and the mild taste of lemon grass with the cheesecake. Also, you can try their new array of drinks. Time - 12 - 3.30 pm and 7.30 - 11pm

We recently visited Mainland China at Gurusaday Road and had a lit gastronomic experience. It is located at the heart of the city, just a 5-minute drive from Ballygunge Phari. And guess what, you don't need to pay for parking. The dining hall was on the first floor. It was very spacious and well decorated (the random mobile clicks will speak volumes of the ambience). We were set the heart on the buffet but to no avail. The Covid-19 quagmire and the restrictions watered down our desires. We settled for the ala carte. And if you see the menus, you will be spoilt for choice. Too many delicious dishes and you will be tempted to have them all at once. The steward helped us a lot to decide on the food items. Here is a rundown: 1. Basil flavoured chicken dumplings (large) (₹445.00) 2. Hot and Sour Chicken Soup (₹285.00) 3. Pan-fried noodles with soy garlic prawns (₹505.00) 4. Steamed rice (₹200.00) 5. Cantonese Chicken with Greens and Garlic (regular) (₹510.00) 6. Fresh Lime soda (₹110.00) 7. Palm Jaggery ice cream (₹175.00) *The rates are exclusive of taxes* Let's have a quick review of the signature dishes. Basil flavoured chicken dumplings: Soft and juicy stuffing made the dumplings a delight to the taste buds. The moderate use of spices was very light on the tummy. The size was smaller than the regular dumplings that we have in the greasy spoon mom-and-pop spots in Kolkata. But as the soft chunks were caught by the prongs and were chomped slowly, the mouth was filled with a burst of exotic flavour. Hot and Sour Chicken Soup: Very different from the regular soup that we get from most of the Chinese Restaurants in Kolkata. As our steward told us there are two main ingredients, that are responsible for these opposing flavours. Vinegar (for sour) and white pepper (for hot). Apart from the thin strips of chicken, there were two different types of mushrooms used. Shiitake mushrooms and wood ear mushrooms. The soup also contained dried Lily flowers. It went superbly with the dumplings. Pan-fried noodles with soy garlic prawns: Noodles are the crown jewel of Chinese cuisine. But the noodles we had were a bit different than those found in most of the restaurants in Kolkata. The noodles were made with soy sauce, cooking wine and brown sugar and were fried in vegetable oil. The prawns were crisp and juicy. The thick gravy contained baby corn, broccoli, mushrooms and strips of chicken. It is the perfect blend of all luscious ingredients that enchants us, foodies. A must try! Cantonese Chicken with Greens and Garlic: The distinctive aspect of Mainland China is the moderate use of spices. The dishes are not heavy on the stomach, but still taste great. The Cantonese Chicken we had there was indubitably the best we ever had. Cantonese food is mostly seasoned with wonderful Asian sauces - soy sauce, fish sauce, oyster sauce, rice wine vinegar, and sesame oil with a nice smoky flavour. The proportions of sugar and salt were perfect. Garlic was subtle and did not overpower. We used the Fresh Lime Soda as the palate cleanser and it was very refreshing too. Palm Jaggery ice cream: This moreish is relished as a dessert after a heavy meal. It is a fusion ice cream recipe served in almost every reputed Bengali restaurant all through the year for the ultimate public demand. It is prepared from double cream, Nolen gurer Sandesh, Nolen gur and evaporated milk. We were thrilled to find it in a Chinese Restaurant. Recommendations and Ratings: Mainland China is touted as an authentic Chinese restaurant. We've never been to China, so we can't check out the authenticity. But the food tasted unique and flavorful. The rates can be a bit pricey, but it's worth it. To all of my friends, I'll assign five-star ratings and strongly recommend them! Bon Appetit. Pocket Pinch: ₹3000 (for two) Cuisine: Chinese Must try: Pan-fried Noodles with soy garlic prawns, Cantonese Chicken with Greens and Garlic and Basil flavoured chicken dumplings. Ratings ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Visited this place for an office get together with colleagues. They arranged a separate enclosure for our team of 20 people. The environment is cozy and staff are extremely helpful. They served us the starters and mocktail in the table and we kept ordering to serve the starters repeatedly. They served us with extremely polite gesture. The starters were warm, crispy, spicy and delicious. Chicken and fishes in different sauces were served in starter. The main course was also huge. From different chicken fish crab and prawn items in different gravy were served. Being a fan of starter, we were mostly full with the starters. After spending some time with main course, shifted to the colorful dessert platters. At last they served the complimentary cokes and we left the premises burping with lots of good memories.

Beautiful ambience with great food, well mannered staff and prompt service makes this place a go to place for Chinese food lovers. We went for lunch and opted for buffet @ 971/- with tax for non veg food. The buffet comprised 3 veg & non veg starters, one veg &non veg soup, 3 types of salad. In the main course there was egg chicken fried rice, noodles, two types of chicken, one fish preparation, a prawn dish and a crab dish. The dessert comprised of fresh cut fruits, mousse, pastry, brownie and four types of ice cream with condiments. The buffet spread was average in taste and pricing is overall high.

Had a wonderful dinner experience at Mainland China, Ballygunge. The restaurant has beautiful decor and serves great food, doing justice to the brand name. There is a variety of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options on the menu. All the items we tried tasted delicious, including the soups, appetizers, main course, rice and noodles and desserts and drinks. Also tried some items from their special Chinese New Year menu, of which the lettuce wrapped chicken was the best. The decor and the ambience is quite nice. The staff were courteous, but service was a bit on the slower side. Also, a few menu items were unavailable. Apart from this, a wonderful experience. Quantity served per item is more than enough for two people. Pocket pinch is around INR 2,500 for two people for a full course meal. Definite recommend if you are looking to experience some Chinese fine dining with friends and family.

Located at Uniworth House, 3A, Gurusaday Dutta Rd, Ballygunge, Kolkata, West Bengal 700019, Mainland China is a restuarant that is synonymous with Chinese food. The ambience and staff behaviour is excellent. Try the Lung Fong Soup (veg version) or the Chicken Lung Fong Soup, Diced Chicken in Assorted Peppers, crispy chilli potatoes as the starters. For the main course, you can try the Chicken in Roasted Garlic with fried rice or Mandarin Fish with Hakka Noodles. For Desserts try the Honey Noodles, Chocolate Rolls or Vanilla Ice Cream. Definitely worth a visit.

I went with my father for lunch few days back. It was really brilliant as it was few years back too. Their brilliance hasn't changed. If someone likes authentic taste of Chinese food in kolkata. This is the place for you. To me it feels slightly expensive but again I felt it's worth it. Perfect food, nice staff and of course great ambience.

We ordered Thai style chicken dumplings, Crispy squid, Mixed meat fried rice and Stir fried duck meat Sichuan style. Dumplings were delicious. Squid was oily and hard to chew. Mixed meat rice could have been more flavourful. Duck was ok. Overall rating is average.

As always, very nice ambience. Highly trained and cooperative staffs. Good buffet spread. They are maintaining strict levels of sanitisation. Checking body temperature of all guests and their staffs, sitting their guests maintaining the social distance norms and not allowing customers without masks even near the buffet spread. Great going guys. Keep it up

My experience at the place was amazing. The staff and plating was excellent. We took the buffet menu and it was very delicious. The staff gave us a LOT of starters and they were all good. The food at the buffet was varied and had vegetarian options too. There was also a small dessert bar to which was nice. 6 cheese out of 5.

The food tastes good and different compared to the so called Chinese dishes we get in other places. The prices are a bit high but it's reasonably good with the volume. You can customise a dish the way you want. If you are unsure of the menu the manager will help you in choosing the right one. Beers are only available in pint. Ambiance is good but people around you will behave so called posh and will speak unnecessary English which makes the ambiance damn serious with their grumpy faces.

One of the best Indo-Chinese restaurants I've ever had. Each and every dish I've had was top-notch. Besides, the waiters were so hospitable that they gave us a complimentary birthday cake for my friend since I was celebrating her pre-birthday celebration. The dimsums were my favourite out of the lot. Besides, the fried rice, noodles, a preparation of fish and chicken (which I'm not able to recall at the moment) were amazing too!

I chose this place over the Spring Club outlet (which is closer to my home) just because I never visited here and it was the first Mainland China in town and got praised on The Telegraph back then. They had a huge rush and maybe because it was a weekend. I went to celebrate my Anniversary. The staff were as polite as always but they were definitely in hurry. The toilet is bit smaller compared to the restaurant guest capacity but ambiance was good as always. For some reason I did not feel that awe factor about the food. The menu got changed from 2019 and I must say it was better back then. The menu they have now is quite obvious and almost available elsewhere. We ordered duck in plum sauce, sichuan numbing chicken, fried Calamari, prawn sui mai, mixed rice noodle and hot garlic lamb in the main course. The sichuan numbing chicken was not numbing or spicy at all. Duck was really nice and so was the lamb. Noodle was good but may be I had a high expectation from mainland China. I wish they bring back the pitcher option for mocktails like before.

I have only visited the place once but I absolutely adored it. The buffet menu is lavish. The quality of the food is much much better than some contemporary Chinese buffet restaurants in town. I enjoyed each and every item on their menu. It won't typically burn a hole in your pocket other. Unlike most other buffet restaurants, the main course here is a showstopper. They have carefully selected the starters & the desserts too. Overall, by far according to me, it's the best Chinese buffet in Kolkata (as per my tastes & preferences).

Ambiance and quality of the food were exceptionally fantastic. Only negative part was the AC. Restaurant was opened at 7 PM. Still 7:15 PM it was really hot. We feel AC wasn't work properly throughout our stay. Service and food were really good. Will visit again for buffet. It seems price of the beer is little high as 330 ml of Budweiser is cost Rs 300 which MRP is Rs 75/-.

Quality of the food available is really excellent!! Hoping for few more dishes to be available in buffet in future. With respect to the price point of view, it's slightly over-priced as compared to the other big players in the competitive market providing quality-buffet at comparatively lesser cost with more dishes...

No doubt about the quality & service. I tried a lot of items. Prawn Hargao - Exceptional Hakka Noodles - Average General Taso Chicken - Good California Roll Sushi - Looks good, I don't like fish, but it looked really good. Mixed Fried Rice - Exceptional Peach & Mango Ice Tea - Exceptional The waiters were amazing, made us comfortable. One big problem is that, it's very loud inside, people are shouting and talking loudly, it's kinda disturbing. Else everything ambience is good. There is valet parking, which is really good. I would recommend it here if you have a high budget. But yes, i have had better Chinese for sure.

Quality & Quantity are too hard to find together in a fine dining however Mainland China does not disappoint a bit in any.. All of the dishes are huge in Quantity so people visiting in groups won't need to order soo many dishes..Any dish can be easily shared by 2-3..Please avoid drinking as its unnecessarily costly.. Only negative thing found in buffet menu It has too Many Chicken items..so in case not a chicken lover wouldn't recommend buffet.. Anyways had a very nice experience. Would visit again soon..

Hello Foodizzzzzz, What do I write about this place? This is one of the oldest outlets of Main Land China Franchise. Ambience: It is a spacious and tidy place. Not a funky or cool place. I find this place a little formal. This place is also for foodies. Food : Since we had food from Buffet. The delicacies were quite known to us. They served really tasty food. Every food item was delicious. The starters were awesome. If you want, you can booze as well. Staff: They are indeed co-operative and humble. If you find this review helpful, kindly help me grow. I have been visiting this restaurant since 2002 on and off. The last twenty years of nostalgia remains with me when I visit the place. Mainland China Restaurant offers an authentic and delightful journey through Chinese cuisine. The elegant ambiance and attentive staff set the stage for a memorable experience. The diverse menu showcases culinary expertise, from delectable dim sum to signature Peking Duck. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian options cater to various tastes, with dishes like the fiery Sichuan Kung Pao Chicken and the flavourful Buddha's Delight. The dessert menu impresses with Mango Pudding and Fried Ice Cream. Attentive service complements the overall dining experience. Mainland China is a gem, earning a well-deserved five-star rating for its exquisite offerings and impeccable service. The recent visit was after a long time and found it delightfully the same with a renew and revalidated choices of dishes with the team of servers welcoming guests with the same warmth! Overall, Property Category: Costly ($$$) Ambiance: Excellent (4.5 / 5) Food - taste: Excellent (4.5/5) Food - Quantity: Excellent (4.5/5) Service: Superb (5/5) Menu Spread: Very Good & wide (5/5) Recommended: YES! (but costly)

Loved the place. A true authentic Chinese restaurant in Kolkata. Touches of Chinese tradition and culture in the ambience inside the restaurant. And talking about the food, the taste and quality were too good. The buffet is recommended, as it have a lot of variety in foods in all sections, starters, main course and deserts. The price was also reasonable.

Mainland China Ballygunge is a part of a chain of seven restaurants spread across Kolkata. It is boon for those looking for good Chinese food at a nice price point. Taste and consistency across all their outlets is amazing. The USP of Mainland China is good food. The cuisine is Chinese and Asian. There is an equal measure of veg, chicken, fish, lamb and prawns. There is soup, starters, dimsum and main course. Portions are sufficient. Quality is top notch. Remember we are talking about Kolkata, where majority of the restaurants are not able to prepare tasty Chinese food, like it is made. We are there invited for post COVID 10 course LUNCH & DINNER buffet (VEG & NON VEG) menu launch by them . Every aspect, be it presentation of food, ambiance, service or value for money, this restaurant is a fine example of a heartfelt restaurant, in the very heart of the city.

If it’s Chinese it’s Mainland China After this long lockdown period the “Unlock process” is giving oxygen to our economy and like every industry food and hospitality industry are also ready to welcome their guests. Through social media I noticed restaurants are taking precautions and also trying to maintain social distancing. Few days a back I visited Mainland China , Gurusaday Road Ballyguange for having lunch. At the entrance you need to sanitize your hand properly and then they will check the body temperature if everything goes fine then you can go upstairs to relish delectable Chinese food. You can’t sit anywhere , there are some selected tables where you can sit which they selected by maintaining social distancing. The table will be sanitized in front of you. So , They are taking every possible precautions to serve the guests properly. The feeling of Chineseness is not only limited to the cuisine but is there in the décor created by hangings on the walls, the colour of the walls and the dimly lit light.

"Mainland China", A name which needs no introduction as it is one of the best and most reputed restaurant under the Speciality group of restaurants which introduced authentic Chinese food to the city of joy. Few days back I've visited their Gurusaday Dutta Road outlet to taste their newly curated ten course lunch and dinner which is available at just 645/- plus taxes. You can avail it on any day of the month. *Note* To avoid the gathering around the food area they've come up with a set meal plan, this is not a buffet you usually get, this is a complete meal plan to steal your heart. The timings have been chaged a bit as per the norms set by the government. The lunch hours are the same as before which is 12:30pm to 4pm but the dinner timings have been reduced to 6pm to 8pm as they have to close it by 9. So the last dinner order is taken until 8pm. As soon as I stepped in, I fell in love with the ambiance. It'll give you some sort of vibe of China. The woodwork will definitely catch your attention. As we're going through this pandemic situation right now because of the covid cases but they've taken all the safety measures to ensure the safety of every customer. Now coming to the food I've tried, Soup : • Lung Fung (chicken/veg) Dimsum : • Basil flavored dumplings (chicken/veg) Appetizer : • Diced chicken assorted pepper Or • Crispy Chili Potatoes Main Course : • Chicken in roasted garlic • Mandarin Fish (their signature dish) • Stir Fried Chinese Greens Or • Stir Fried Veg & Cottage Cheese with Roasted Garlic • Corn and Potatoes in Black Pepper Sauce • Stir Fried Chinese Greens • Celery & Cheese Cabbage Fried Rice • Wok Tossed Veg Hakka Noodles Desserts : • Honey Noodles • Chocolate Rolls • Vanilla Ice Cream You can add on prawns (6pcs) in sauce of your choice with an additional 119 rupees or mocktails with a price of 99/- Quite an experience. Absolutely loved each and every dish. Specially their Chocolate Rolls. The chocolate rolls are basically gooey chocolate which is rolled into cigars wrapped in a pastry sheets and then deep fried. Delectable. Very well curated by Chef Indraneel Chatterjee. Kudos to him. Definitely one of the best dining experience I've had till now. To the people who couldn't go out because of this pandemic and really craving for some authentic Chinese food, you should definitely check this out. Thank you so much for having me over. It was a lovely experience try these amazing dishes.

The quality of food here is truly good. The prices are a premium but it is worth it as the food quality reflects the pricing. We ordered many starters and each one of the dishes was perfectly made. The dimsums especially were out of the world. The main course was also very well made. Best part being that the management decided to serve us complimentary dessert. We ordered darsaan and ice cream which the management decided to give us for free.

Mainland China is itself a brand for a reason. I realised as soon as I stepped in. Absolutely loved the ambience. Enough staffs are there to welcome, recommend or serve you. Nothing much to say about then except excellent! Impressive service. Since they've launched a new menu, they recommended from it. We ordered 1. Battered fried five spice chicken - absolutely loved it! Proper blend of spices and sweetness. Highly recommended. 2. Toban fried rice with chicken edamame - they recommended to have large one for two if us but thank God we didn't. It was quite difficult for us to have the regular one, even for two. Specially me since I can't have a lot of foods at a time. So it's completely depends on your appetite. And yes, the rice us recommended. But a bit hint or lemon or leaves could make it more delicious. 3. Lamb in mehlak sauce - it was bookmarked my me but the staff said that if we want we could opt for other sauces as it comes with black mushroom and bamboo shoots. And it has a Smell that might bot be good. But since we haven't tried bamboo shoots, we opted for it and loved it! And every items quantity is enough. The decoration is minimal. Yet classy Chinese. We thought to have desserts but we were too full to have any ?. We have to visit some other day to have it. Would love to try their buffet next time! ❤️ Thankyou MAINLAND CHINA ❤️

Savour the Best of Mainland China in a grand Ten Course Lunch & Dinner only @ Rs. 645/- Undoubtedly the holy grail for Chinese and Oriental Food in the city of Joy, Mainland China is one name which is as synonymous, as is Roshogolla is perhaps to the legacy of this city. For reasons uncomprehended, Mainland China has always been the forefront of some of the best fine dining restaurants this city has to offer. However, more than the ambiance, location or service, it is always the food which wins here, and beckons countless of masses to have a grab of their offerings, atleast once a month! The inert subtlety of the flavours, the use of the exotic, yet the simple-tasting spices, and the love and affection which goes in behind the preparation of every dish, is indeed unmatched! With the current and ongoing situation of pandemic, it is however hard to spend the way, we may have used to even a couple of months before. Things are tight, and not everything is possible to do the way we would want them to happen. Perhaps this is the reason why, the restaurant is offering a “Best of Mainland China”, in the form of a su0mptuous and mouthwatering ten course lunch and dinner, at a throwaway price of Rs. 645/- only. Ranging from delicious soups, and then moving on to fingerlicking starters, you get the option of devouring lavish main course meals, before finally ending up with some delectable and soul-seeking desserts. You can start with the delicious Lung Fong Soup, which is ideally a thick soup, full of diced vegetables. For alternate versions, there are ones with meat, with Mainland China offering the variation of a Chicken Lung Fong Soup. With the egg whites floating on the top like thick dense clouds, the cinematic view of this soup is as good as the taste it offers. As you sip in your way through this delectable soup, thin translucent dumplings will make your way on to the table. Again, with the option of choosing between the vegetarian version and the chicken, the flavour will numb your senses, with the fresh chives and basil complementing each other well. Dip in to the popular chili oil and you would get transported to heaven, all in an instant. What amazed me the most, was the thin wrapper surrounding the dumplings. These were juicy, watery and full of exotic, yet simple flavours to make you all you may want from this place. For appetizers, we chose the Diced Chicken in Assorted Peppers, which had a clear and prominent use of soy, oyster sauce and vinegar, used to combine the flavours of the fresh peppers and the juicy chicken. Tuck in your mouth the caramelized onions, or if you are a vegetarian, opt for their crispy chilli potatoes. Diced, long-cut potatoes, batter fried, and tossed in a sweet chilli sauce, is as good as it can get! For mains, the Chicken in Roasted Garlic was an absolute lipsmacker. The prominent flavours of garlic seeped in to the chicken, with the sauce being light and aromatic, and pairing perfectly with the Celery and Chinese Cabbage Fried Rice. It was a holy grail of combination, much like the light broth sweet and sour Mandarin Fish along with the Wok Tossed Vegetarian Hakka Noodles. The cornflour tossed fish cubes, had soaked in a substantial portion of the juice from the gravy, thus creating an explosion of flavours in the mouth. For the rest, you can dig into the Stir-Fried Chinese Greens, or if you are a vegetarian, you get the option to savour Corn and Potatoes in Black Pepper Sauce. #MainlandChina #BestofMainlandChina #TenCourseMeal #Lunch #Dinner #SetMeal #Vegetarian #NonVegetarian #Safety #SpecialityGroup #Mocktails #whenstomachtickles

Not upto the mark as expected from Mainland China... Chicken too salty.. . It may be because of reduced resources and manpower due to lockdown..

Went to Mainland China for lunch buffet(Sunday) with my wife. There are many outlets in Kolkata but we went to the outlet located near Gurusaday crossing. The following is a summary of the experience of the foodat this outlet:- ? The Ambience is wonderful, spacious and there are Coups also inside with chinese themes inside. ? Starters - ?Chicken soup ?vodka lemonade ?Fish wonton ?Chilli fish ?Chicken dimsums. ?Chicken drumstick. ?Main course - ?Chicken fried rice ?Chicken chilli bean sauce?Prawn in ginger chilli coriander. ?Crab Singapore chilli ?Cumin chilli lamb balls ?Prawn with greens and garlic. ?Desserts - ?Brownie ?Crimson mousse ?Cheese cake ?Mango pastry ?Sugar free custard ?Tutty fruity ice-cream with strawberry syrup ?Chocolate ice-cream hot chocolate sauce ?Vanilla ice cream with hot chocolate sauce ?Mango ice-cream with mango syrup ?The pick of the dish was mutton & crab. There were also fruits and vegetable starters and vegetable main course which I didn't have space in the stomach to try. Would look forward to try out their buffet during weekdays.

The ambiance and food is really great here. Family and friends can come here for a serine meal. All you can eat for 1200 inr is an amazing deal. The chicken dimsums and chicken drum sticks are delicious. The waiting staff is attentive to your needs and welcome for any feedback given. I am eating it four stars only for 2 reasons - options and variety for veg food items are not as extensive as non veg items. Only select food items are worth eating, rest are not up to the mark.

Have been a fan of Mainland China since the past 3/4 years. These are the food I tried from there : ✓  PHILADELPHIA CHEESE DUMPLINGS ✓  MATCHSTICK POTATOES WITH TRUFFLE OIL ✓ MALASIAN CURRIED PRAWNS ✓ PAN FRIED BARBECUED FISH ✓ SICHUAN PEPPER CHICKEN WITH CASHEWNUTS ✓ LUNG FUNG SOUP WITH EGGWHITE – CHICKEN ✓ STIR FRIED HARICOT BEANS WITH DRY RED CHILLIES AND SESAME ✓ PRAWNS IN XO SAUCE ✓ SICHUAN STEAMED BHETKI WITH FRESH CORIANDER ✓ DOUBLE SPICY CHENGDU CHICKEN ✓ CELERY AND CHINESE CABBAGE FRIED RICE WITH CHICKEN ✓ SINGAPORE STYLE NOODLES WITH BEANSPROUTS ✓ CHOCOLATE DOME These are I personally believe their best and one must try if visit (should visit)! Their ambience was so good and also the stuff were so humble they literally will go to you ask if you need any help with a brought smile. I absolutely loved their service. Thank you Mainland China!

Great food. Authentic Chinese food is available along with dishes like Sushi. All Mainland China are great but the guest one is the largest and the best in the city. They also have two banquets. German valet parking is available....... Cards are accepted. Invade you want to go for ala carte I suggest their Crispy spinach and prawn momos. Their lemon coriander soup is also worth a try. Pretty busy on weekends. I prefer going for the buffet. Good atmosphere and lighting..........

Very hygenic, sanitized. Good ambience, very courteous. Although the food was very good but for the first time in last 55 visits, felt that quality of whole fish could have been better. It tasted like Basa inspite of ordering for Bhetki which was never expected of Mainland China restaurant Otherwise everything was fine.

A+++ SAFETY sterilized standards maintaining. GOOD Authentic Chinese food. But personally I feel small quantum of fish & chicken starters should be given simultaneously. Soup should be served first prior starters. Waiters should be trained. I had to sit half an or so looking at others family members as NO chicken starter ONLY FISH .

Visited at this this outstanding place mainland China few days back, for eating lunch with my friends. They served authentic Chinese, seafood and Sushi at very affordable price. Mainland China has recently launched their new set menu for a minimum 4 people at 1045 rupees & 1175 rupees per person. This non veg set menu cost 1175 rupees and veg set menu cost 1045 rupees . This menu include 15 dishes and sushi as well. To avail this set menu minimum 4 person is mandatory, you can also 10% discount if there are more than 10 people. I have tried their non veg set menu. Of these i personally like their pan fried chilli fish, chicken hakka noodles and tempura Sushi all the dishes taste was very good and went well. Overall had a great a great experience and a great place to hangout with family and friends. I will highly recommend to this place to everyone must visit this place at least once you will never regret.

Overall a nice restaurant, food tasted good! But when the restro is running at its capacity....they take a lot of time to deliver the food! For a name like mainland china..i think they should mend this thing!

The restaurant is a perfect fit for spending time with friends, family and your loved one. The unlimited food options makes it worth all your money. There are both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options available from starters, main course to dessert. The ambience of the place is calm and welcoming. The staff is friendly and ensures to give attention to your table for serving purposes. The menu keeps on changing with days. One can order beverages as an add on to the total amount ranging from soft drinks, mocktails, cocktails and much more. The place is usually busy so it's always advisable to book your table in advance. The reservation is free and over the call. The place follows covid security to an extent. There is pay and park option available too one must make sure to park in the the pay and park section

Now the Largest Lunch buffet at just 725/- + GST on every Tuesday and Thursday at Mainland China , Gurusaday Road (Ballyguange) outlet. The feeling of Chineseness is not only limited to the cuisine but is there in the décor created by hangings on the walls, the colour of the walls and the dimly lit light.
