Absolutely fantastic cocktail bar. I'm not usually a huge fan of cocktail bars and find they're often poor value for money but Tomfoolery is just incredible. A lot of effort and passion goes into every single drink on the menu and it shows. Service from all staff is great and Chris (the owner) really makes everyone feel welcome. Whilst every single cocktail I had was amazing, the clarified New York whiskey sour was my favorite.

Great lil spot in a hip part of town offering spirit forward cocktails that nod the classics and modern mixology. the space is throwback with speak easy and boho chic aesthetics. the service is kind, engaged, knowledgeable, and responsive. We were expertly supported by Zack who knew his stuff and had some serious service experience. the clarified New York sour is what they are known for. I found it nrifht and balanced with a touch of islay peat, which i love. the barrel aged rosemary and rye was the right amount of sweet, but I would have liked a fresh vs dried sprig of rosemary,maybe a touch of citrus. I look forward to haunting this joint whenever I am cocktailing or fancy a cheeky tipple in Auckland. Stop in and enjoy the experience.

Went here for a post-dinner drink. Was hankering for a CC & Dry and was served by a very friendly bar tender who was in fact Canadian. Unfortunately they were out of the CC so went with his recommendation of some other Canadian libation. A nice wee bar with a nice vibe and there are tables outside in the arcade as well if the seats inside are full. My friend and I managed to get a seat inside (it was a cold evening). Would certainly go back here for a drink or three!

I love this unpretentious and edgy little spot! Tucked away in a funky part of town. Dog friendly, with both intimate quiet corners, and outdoor tables to catch the hustle & bustle! Upbeat and attentive waitstaff offering a gorgeous wine list and punchy cocktails - highly recommend!

Absolutely adore Tomfoolery - the team are absolutely willing to take the time to find the drink that fits best for you, and their generosity with olives is beyond every other bar.

Not a bad spot, the cocktails are quirky and well done, but nothing mind-blowing. Service is a little slow and had to go inside to ask the waitress to come out a few times. Small selection of snacks on the menu, most of which they had run out off by 630pm.

My partner and I came here recently and we ordered the Self Portrait cocktail to start and it went down so well that we ended up having 3 each! I feel we will be visiting Tomfoolery a lot if we want to work our way through the cocktail list as I suspect we will feel much the same about the other cocktails haha! The service was amazing, very quick and attentive - highly recommended! A+++

Best bar in Auckland. Love coming here with the girls before a dinner or a night out for a quick drink or two. The innovative cocktails continue to impress me and the vibes are immaculate. Would recommend.

Quirky little spot for late afternoon / early evening cocktails. Suprised at the very spacious seating inside for a small cocktail bar, plus, more seating into the outdoor area of the arcade. Lovely cocktails, friendly and smiley staff, ace service! A place to go for a quiet date or with a group! Will be back!

Cute little bar down Kevin’s arcade, discretely hidden but packs a quirky punch of goodness. Service was fab, drink and cocktail knowledge was on point just like the names of the drinks that explain what you are thinking. Great place to start or finish your night!
