This place gets terrible reviews but man, I grew up coming to these pools. Yes, they are run down, yes the bathrooms are pretty yuck, yes it is slightly over priced, yes there are tiles missing, yes the lifeguards and staff are super chill and no it’s not modern and not a lot has changed since I was a child. But when you think about it, if the public who use these pools treated it like their own and actually cleaned up after themselves, this place could be great. If people also cleaned up after themselves in the bathrooms it would be better for everyone. If people would actually read the signs with the rules and enforced these rules with their own families, this place could be a lot more enjoyable. It’s not a relaxation pool people, it never has been 😂 and who cares! Yes the whole place does need a little TLC but we are lucky to have this place, Waiwera is not coming back and there are other thermal pools in the area if you’d prefer peace and quiet. My kids have a great time and that’s all I care about.

Definitely not somewhere we will be visiting again. Overcrowded (surely a safety hazard) to the point you couldn’t move, water was disgusting and full of hair, manky plasters and goodness knows what else. There was so much hair in the pool it was getting tangled around our fingers 🤮. Slides are definitely in need of some maintenance and looking extremely tired. For what they overcharge surely some can go towards maintenance.

hydro slides were quite a rush but felt safe enough for our young boys to enjoy as well.Kids enjoyed the obstacle course and the kids corner. It was busy but there was not a long wait at all to go down the slides which I thought was pretty convenient. Life guards were visible and friendly. Entrance fees are well worth it considering you have full access to the slides both pools and the kids corner. Totally recommend this place to families with children for a fun filled day out.

Sort yourselves out. There was enough staff to have at least one person clean your bathrooms properly. Blocked drains, mould all over the walls and ceiling, green slime build up all in the toilets, dried faeces on the wall in the toilets and changing area. So The facilities are so bad now and those bathrooms should be enough to shut your facility down. Actually so disappointed that this place has been left to turn into an absolute disgrace. The most unhygienic facilities I've ever been too. Only stayed because I didn't want my father to feel like he wasted his money taking us there. This is a warning to others not to waste their money going there.

We hired out the Rock pool last weekend it was so great having a private area to ourselves - the kids loved every minute. The facilities are very clean and tidy and we had use of the kitchen area also. Worth the whole day out. We were a group of 30 and the area was so spacious. Looking forward to our next visit there.

It's a fun pool but the slides don't open till 11 am which is a bit of a letdown as I arrived at opening time. They have a store that sells lots of different food including lime and mango slushies. The slides are awesome but look like they are about to fall down. (See attached photo) The view from the highest one is insane. The hot pool is a nice temperature not too hot or too cold. The main pool isn't that deep. You can hire a barbeque to cool your food on. And there are picnic tables. Overall nice experience will definitely come back. 😁

With no exaggeration, this is the single worst pool I've ever been to. Entry prices are ludicrous. Pool area is poorly maintained and dirty, water is full of leaves, hair, skin, food and other debris, the slide hasn't had a single lick of maintenance since opening day and looks like it's a strong breeze from falling over. Place was extremely crowded, even at a relatively quiet time, almost no lifeguards around. This all wouldn't be *so* bad if they didn't ask 5 times what a normal pool charges for entry and appear to be spending none of it on upkeep. I've seen rural primary school pools better than this.
