Excellent view over the bay area of Pula and the Colosseum. The outdoor areas of this venetian fortress are freely accessible, if you want to go inside, there is an entrance fee. The museum describes the history of Pula from its ancient origins.

Beautiful views, about all of the Amphitheatre. Didn't have time to enjoy the museums, though, but they look like interesting. Next time!

Beautiful old fortress on a hill top where you can walk around the ramparts, with many layers, including 2 large tunnel levels and a tower - good access, including a lift for the disabled. It has a small museum which gives some history. Tickets available on the door. Recommended

The Fortress is one of the places you have to see. You will learn something from the history, and also rest during the view of the city. There is excellent access to the different floors of the fortress via the elevator.

A small fort that was used in the 20th century. A few exhibitions about the use of the fort in 1914 are within the fort. Standing on the walls of the fort, a beautiful view over the city of Pula and its industrial port can be seen. Climbing the small tower gives an even better overview. After visiting all exhibits, an elevator can be taken down to the Zerostrasse, a small network of underground tunnels. Overall the entry fee of 6€ for adults, or 3€ for children and students, seems fairly priced to me.

A beautiful view of the city, red roofs and the sea. I advise you to come at sunset, the colors are incredible

As a panoramic viewpoint, is is quite complex and has a 360 degree option to have a great view over the city. The museum is not really recommended. If you want to take nice selfies or pictures, you can do it without purchasing a ticket.

This place worths the climb. You need to walk from the center. Up or down, it's faster on the stairs. There is a small bufett and a museum up there not just the fort. Give it a shot! ;)

A cool museum on a hot day! We took the lift down to Zerostrasse and wandered around the cool underground tunnels. I recommend viewing the exhibitions upstairs first, then gradually working your way down. That way you can exit from the lowest tunnel out onto the street where ever you want to go next.

The Pula Citadel is located at the central hilltop of Pula. This historical baroque fortress was constructed in the 17th century. The hilltop and fortress have an interesting and long history. It is advisable to study history at least a bit before visiting. The site offers nice walks, instructional posters and some exhibitions. This site belongs to must-visit list of Pula.

Beautiful old fortress on a hill top where you can walk around the ramparts, with many exhibits including 2 large tunnels and a tower. An elevator for the disabled or stollers. It has a small museum tickets can be purchased at the entrance. The tunnels were so fun to explore and the views of the city on top were amazing.

We visited this place on the winter. It was 7 degrees. There are trees which looks pretty with its green color. The fort is interesting places from which you can see all bay. Also there are guns near the fort.

Unbelievable abandoned fortress and you get great views climbing up to the top. I wouldn't take kids there...a bit dangerous.

You can enter the castle through the underground catacombs or through the traditional main gate above. The catacombs are very atmospheric, with contemporary pictures. The view from the castle is wonderful and you can see various exhibitions inside.

Absolutely worth seeing! The castle looks lovely and the tickets aren't too pricey. You can also buy the zerostrasse ticket here and go to the tunnels. Don't miss out on the tunnel just underneath the castle though, it has some really cool fun facts about the history of Pula.

Paid entrance of 70kn, the views from outside the castle are as good as inside + the view isn’t that great as you will see the port infrastructure behind the nice house rooftop of Pula… If you want to discover more about the culture and history on the castle, that would be the reason to pay for the fee.

This is a fortress in the middle of old town up a steep hill. The entrance fee is 20 Kuna but you get almost nothing for it. There are a minor photo exibition and some old cannon inside but nothing more. This place is to be visited solely for its breathtaking views. You can take lifelong pictures of this city as you can see all around every part.

We arrived in Pula very early in the morning so the fortress was not open. We visited it outside. The view over the city is really nice.

One of the highest spots in Pula and therefore providing a good view around the city. You can walk the outside if the fortress without going inside and still get a good view.

There was no castle museum at the time of my visit, just a small one from museum of castle pharmacy and unrelated gift shop. Walking around the castle is fun and provides amazing views of entire town. Best part was the system of WWII tunnels from the castle to 5 different parts of the town. You can re-enter the tunnels by using the same tunnel tickets. The tunnels are clean and cool which makes it a perfect shortcut for a hot summer day.

Not very impressed, but if you are having a walk close to the city centre.. is worth seeing it. The view from here is not that beautiful..

Great attraction! It is worth paying for the tickets that include the tunnels. Nice views of the city and interesting information all around.

Nice view. That‘s it. No museum, no explanations. Not one plate. Museum shop was closed. Coffee bar was closed. Two stars as the entry is not expensive.
