Shaka Cafe is an easy-to-spot restaurant because of its corner location and colorful façade. They specialize in vegetarian dishes and pretty beverages. It’s a two-story cafe with the counter being on the first level, while most of the tables are on the second. The crew was approachable and swift to attend to our needs. They don’t accept card payments as of my visit.

Excellent coffee, same yummy smoothie bowls from the islands and tasty plant based dishes. Super friendly staff 👌🏽 Tip: Takeout window opens at 6am for a post run coffee!

Came here cuz we love Shaka Siargao. Cool they have a location now in BGC. Not only do they have their bomb smoothie bowls, but they have a full menu for meals as well and it’s all plant-based. Worth trying even if you’re not vegan!

Probably one of the best underrated vegan cafes here in Manila - rooted from Siargao islands, this vegan restaurant has quite a variety of vegan fusion dishes in their menu. Highly recommending the nachos (purely vegan yes!) and the Adlai risotto (!!!) - and Ofcourse incomplete meal without their famous smoothie bowls. Would even go back even just for a cup of coffee - their coffee was surprisingly good too. And has al fresco dining. I would request for them to specify also in their menu gluten-free options as that would be helpful for others. Good for: vegan, vegetarians, gluten-free, cafe-goers, island-lovers seeking for cozy cafes with good food

I love this place. It's not often crowded but wow they've got some great service. I'm not a vegan but the food they serve here I can't get enough of. I think this place is underrated. Personally I enjoy my visits here always. This is among the few places I enjoy eating guilt-free.

Had a bad experience here. We went here on a Sunday morning for breakfast. The place was half full with some furry friends around. My wife ordered the Wak Wak, I ordered the Bombay Royale. We called the waitress to add nachos to our order. First served was the Wak Wak. My wife liked the Wak Wak, however she didn't like the texture. Next is the Nachos, it was okay, but not really great. Weirded out by the snowpeas, and it's a bit bland. We waited for my Bombay Royale, we thought it was hard to make. After waiting for 20 minutes, we decided to call the waitress to make a follow-up. Then she said that she didn't take that order as she thought we replaced it with the nachos. I just stayed calm, and didn't make a fuss about it, but we were really disappointed. That's why it's very important to make a recap with the customers, to make sure that you get all their orders right. Won't visit anytime soon.

One of the best sellers is Bom Día really good, price is fair the reason for the 4 starts is because the used frozen fruits even in the pancakes and doesn't taste good, the rest of the food was good, french fries are delicious and the coffee is with oat milk. I loved it

Going Vegan? Try this place! Been to their resto in Siargao, but this is the first time that we visited their spot at BGC. The vegan burger, Wak Wak is amazingly good, pair it with fries and you double the goodness. The Bom Dia smoothie bowl is sweet, light and refreshing. Coffee is great too... give the Americano a try, clean and crisp, with that awsome bold flavor.

Excellent food! I love almost all in the menu. Green Out Smoothie bowl is one of my faves. Quality and taste of the food is superb! Thank you to all their chefs! :) Service is outstanding, staffs are very friendly and accommodating. We always feel welcome every time. Special mention to Ms. Gwen and her beautiful latte art.

My vegan friend is very happy with this place. Their potato fries are my fave! I’m not vegan but I appreciate the effort of using edible straws made of rice which I find unique to this place, sustainable and very environment-friendly. Service is great too. The staffs are friendly and quick to respond to their client’s needs, shout out to Ms. Charmaine.

Everything is vegan so you don’t have to worry. Tried all the burgers and sandwiches - the kasbah wrap is definitely the best.

Shaka’s one of my go-to places when I’m in Siargao, El Nido, and Moal Boal. I was pretty thrilled when I found out when they were opening a branch in Burgos Circle. Loved the Ubeautiful bowl and the ambiance. Nice place to people watch. Great service too!

The burgers are outstanding! You feel really good after eating here. Not your ordinary vegan cafe! This should be the benchmark for vegan food

A small little vegetarian cafe in a quiet part of BGC, giving it a nice ambience when dining alfresco. Service is prompt and efficient. I went for the grilled mushroom and vegetable bowl. I must say there was an underwhelming amount of mushrooms for a dish named after mushrooms. There was very little of it and what was there were extremely thinly sliced mushrooms that you don't taste much of it. It was more rice than anything else. I'd probably recommend something else. Their green shake was nice though and perfect for the warm afternoon. The shake, along with the service and venue made up for the food though.

Shaka Cafe in BGC, Manila has great food, especially for vegans. We had the Shaka platter, a big plate full of fruits, veggies, bread, and nuts. It tasted amazing! The tofu and brown rice with teriyaki sauce was also really good. The mango margaritas were okay, not the best, but fine. The place has a chill vibe and the staff are nice. Worth going to, for sure!

Absolutely loved this little cafe that's off to the side. The vibrant colors and plants gave off a welcoming atmosphere while the service accommodated us consistently as well. The food was great especially for vegetarian/vegan food which I was not expecting. I've tried many vegetarian restaurants but one of the many mistakes they make is in their flavor. However, these dishes were packed with herbs and a strong flavor that tasted like a I would regularly order at another restaurant. The drinks were also delicious of not too sweet and sweet enough with a well balanced taste to it. Would highly recommend going here even if you may not be a fan of such places!

Very mediocre and actual food does not match the menu descriptions. Not fantastic but not terrible. It's nice to have an all vegan cafe. Chili cheese sticks were oily and skint on the cheese (not stuffed as advertised). Mushroom Stroganoff did not look anything like the menu photo. Pasta was overcooked, bland and light on the mushrooms. It also did not match the menu description - there was no crunchy garlic and no herb bread, just some anaemic looking flour tortilla wedges. Washroom was dirty and wet all over despite it being early in the day.

The tastiest breakfast place in Manila, especially if you like healthy and fresh. The smoothie bowl is highly recommended, I enjoyed this so much!!! The staff are all so friendly and helpful, I recommend everyone to stop by here and enjoy their breakfast and lunch 🥰

I've been staying at BGC many times and Shaka Cafe has become my only kitchen in the area, very delicious, healthy plant based food. The service staff is wonderful and making the place feeling very homey, Special thanks to Guenette, Sharmaine and Julie. See you soon again :)

Food is great and coffees are fine. Kudos to Ms Sharmaine of Shaka BGC, she’s very attentive, approachable and easy to mingle. She’s a real asset in SHAKA BGC

They have a deaf server. The food was great. All the other servers were pleasant. I've only given it a 4 on the atmosphere due to it being in front of burgos circle in an area that sometimes get really really busy

Better vegan options compared to other restaurants. Service is a bit slow though. Mains came earlier than their starters. 😅

Average food Staffs are quite nice Atmosphere is good but place is a bit small especially when they don't allow the use of the 2nd floor

A small cafe but with a good variety of healthy options. Could have had more space since the seating inside is a bit cramped. But the menu is lovely. Recommend it for those looking for a healthy option.

Shaka cafes was an outstanding experience with intimate spacing and a fantastic wait staff. The food was more than appetizing and inspired me to recreate the bowls at home. The coffee was good not amazing, but well worth the prices all around. The variety of vegan options is immense and the fries were pretty awesome. I would go out of my way to revisit this location on another trip. They did have a few mosquitoes but it was to be expected during the summer season in Taguig. I would recommend trying it if you have the time.

Food and coffee is really good and the serving is hefty. The negative part of our experience is that we waited for 28-30 minutes for our short orders: 2 coffees, 2 bowls. It felt too long and we can see the staff on shift didn't have any sense of urgency for our orders.

FAVOURITE brunch place in Manila! A must go, vegan / vegetarian or not. Stunning, refreshing meals that are also simply delicious! Beautiful place I had the passionfruit mango butterfly drink and green out smoothie bowl. Loved every bite!

Good food selection. Staff service was great. Food was yummy and filling. I liked the different flavors of the stack meal I had for brunch. Nice location. Space a bit cramped and seats were not spread wide apart.

Good food but quite limited assortment, and mostly vegetarian. I like the pesto pizza and the pancake with mixed fruits (pinkakes). We were able to order cocktails (Mango Margarita) for brunch. Seating furniture needs to be changed/updated as there were dust mites that caused itchy skin rashes to our 2 friends.

Best burger I ever had. A lot more flavorful than a typical meat burger. Very generous serving.

Me and my friends tried the new place to eat while in BGC. we often see it on vlogs and highly recommend when going to siargao, and YES! they did not disappoint our expectations. the food was awesome, we ordered their famous smoothie bowl and display cake, service so unique like no others. instagrammable place and cozy ambiance. deserve a 5stars ... 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

I went here to work with a friend and their coffee is so good! I loved the mocha latte and Rico provided excellent customer service. Their nachos are very filling. A good option if you're looking for healthy and tasty eats.

Ambient place, tourist friendly, all Vegan. Not the cheapest, but not as overpriced as most places. The burger patty did not have any taste tbh was kinda dissapointed. Only 5% service charge, which was much less than other places.

I love supporting vegetarian restaurants, but I tried to refrain from rating it highly because of that. The food can be hit or miss. The first time there we got the risotto and the big breakfast. Both of those were not too great. On the following times, we got more smoothie bowls and the bean shaksuka and the mango red bean curry. The smoothie bowls are always good and the two aforementioned main items were both very very good. The service was very prompt and friendly. And the atmosphere is very nice. There is seating on the first floor with the windows open in the morning, and there is air conditioned seating upstairs if the heat is overbearing. Will definitely be back.

First time eating here in Shaka Cafe!! The food was really good and really healthy I got surprised with the way they made their vegetarian menu really good. It felt nice eating healthy as it was really delicious as well. Rocky, Joyce, and Gwen who was the staff when we dined in were really accomodating and they gave really good service. I'll definitely come back again to dine here!
