Me and my brother climbed Mt. Kenya with Hikemaniak in September and can very much recommend this tour company. Prior communication as well as during the actual organized hike were excellent. We felt very welcome and well taken care off, the guides were extremly knowledgeable and fun and made sure we had a tailored experience (we took the Chogoria route both ways and saw amazing scenery along the way). The equipment in terms of tents, mats and food were also great. We really enjoyed every moment of our hike and want to thank Hikemaniak for facilitating this amazing experience. We will be back :)

I’ve created some of the most incredible memories with Gitonga Wandai and the Hikemaniak team and can’t recommend them highly enough - they’ve taken me to Mt Kenya, the Aberdares (where we planted trees), Rwenzori Mountains (Uganda), Everest Base Camp, and Hell’s Gate in Naivasha. The trips are so fun and unique - made incredible because the people who organise the hikes, lead the expeditions (always local guides and porters) and those who join the hikes are all there for the the same thing: the love of hiking, great company, and a love of the natural environment. With Hikemaniak you can turn up not knowing anyone and feeling like part of the family. I come away with new friends each time. The road trips to the destinations or meal times (with great food) are often just as fun as the hiking themselves. From first rock climbing at Hell's Gate to point Lenana in August 2023, Hikemaniak has been a lovely guide. From Gitonga helping planning every detail of the journey months before and generously keeping track of my preparation progress. The amazing community Hikemaniak foster's in the trails makes the exploration another plus. Hiking Mt. Kenya was a beautiful experience. I can't wait for the next trails. A fantastic four days up Mount Kenya. The team are incredibly responsive before the trip and were so organised from start to finish during the four days. Food was delicious and Gitonga our guide was expectional. The only thing I would say is bring own toilet roll as facilities up the mountain are not great (not by fault of the hikemaniak team) and bring water purification tablets if you don't like drinking water straight from the rivers.

Gitonga got us to Lenana Peak on Mt. Kenya after 3 nights of camping. It was epic!
