This place about 2k.m from the lalit chowk sunder nagar (from NH). The full name of the temple is Shri Sumitra Mahamaya, This temple is one of its own in the district in which a gurudwara is also present. Serene and calm place situated on a hill in Charokhadi area of Sundernagar, presenting panoramic view of the Town. Exposed brickwork with similar colourwash look reminds the construction of British era buildings. The garbhagrih consists of three mandaps dedicated to Lord Shiva (left), Devi (center) and Lord Vishnu (right) alongwith their vahanas (carriers) Nandi, Lion & Garud respectively waiting outside for their Masters. At the entrance on the right side of the path to main structure, a place for Hanuman temple is also given. The place is a tourist attraction and picnic spot. Steel benches are provided in the front lawn for the visitors.

Dense forest, good for trekking. Via Bakhrot. Take approx 5 to 6 hours. Gps works good enough. Open Google maps before you start trekking and it will work easily till we reach. Consider taking left direction most of the time while going to temple.
