I will give my genuine review from my heart.. This place have good and Quality food...as far as the taste. It is not the soul satisfying place and this place is really very overrated by the food bloggers i would say. There is nothing like heavenly food here.. If you got 1000 rs budget for 3 people this place is good for you. Staff is the strength of this restaurant they are very smart in taking and serving orders. I would say it is the best restaurant in Amritsar when it comes to crowd and service. Ambience 5/5 Food 3/5 Pricing 3/5

Hello travellers, I am a fellow traveller from Hyderabad and I write reviews to make your travel easier, you can follow me for more reviews in the area you are travelling Pros - Walking distance from Golden Temple and partition Museum - Can take Rs. 10 sharing tuk tuk - Aloo Kulcha Thali is undoubtedly the best you can have here Cons - No ambiance - Lack of cleanliness - The other dishes are not worth trying. It will fill you. I tried Dal makhani, jeera rice and paneer kulcha

Now listen to my experience. I use to be a regular customer of ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਢਾਬਾ. But to my latest experience it has the worst food of all till now. I asked waiter pajji that whats special and bestseller. He gave me recommendation of Paneer Tikka Masala. I ordered one. Explanation of dish: As the name says Paneer Tikka the gravy rich red tomato and onions spicy thick gravy should consist of the chunks of paneer and some onions and tomato roasted in tandoor oven so as it adds some tandoori flavour to gravy. Dish which arrived: Paneer was totally raw. Capcicum was completely raw not even sauted in oil so that it may cook slightly. The gravy was thin as hell. The thickess can be compared to that of Dal. Even Dal makhni is thicker than the Paneer Tikka Masala gravy. Even the quantity was too much less. And it costed me 295/- and I was sad as hell. Comparing with Brothers Dhaba: Brothers Dhabha is still better than this. They provide butter roti which is made of atta while Bhrawan da Dhabha give roti of Maida. The quantity is better at Brothers as compared to Bhrawan. Bhrawan Dhaba provides raw onions while brother provide nice onions salad mixed in pickel and sirka which tastes good. Quantity of food is better at brothers than Bhrawan. Brothers is economical as compared to Bhrawan.

We just had dal makhani and naan which was tasty but nothing exceptional. Didn't try much so didn't get the hype! Service was a little slow.

Being very honest right now, if you're a Delhi person (like me) you'll have INCREDIBLY high standards because of all the Amritsar vlogs you'd have seen and the mention of this place like a 100 thousand times... but I personally found it quite overrated. The very much hyped Dal Makhni is not your traditional Dal Makhani made of kaali daal which didn't exactly feel right tbh😂 But the staff was very good. All the workers were working efficiently and we got our order on time. The only thing I liked most here, something worth the hype, was the Aloo Kulcha👌 It was like a 3.8/5 experience for me. Good place to eat at with family. We ordered Dal Makhani, Mushroom Masala, Aloo Kulcha and Rotis

Extremely Overhyped and Overpriced. Its crowded places where you will be served slow and my order was half delivered. Kulchas in other dhabas are far better than here. We ordered: Paneer kulcha thali -3/5 : 2 paneer kulcha with dahi boondi and channa masala. Filling was very less. No must taste. Aloo Kulcha thali - 1/5 : 2 aloo Kulcha with dahi boondi and channa masala. Pathetic taste. very salty. we couldn't eat it. Special thaali with paneer- 1/5 : 3 tandoor rotis with dal, paneer sabji and dahi boondi. Dal will be of yellow moong dal which was sweet as they had not added any masala. Spcl Sweet lassi - 2/5 : very normal taste. You can make it in your house itself. They had just added sugar to thick curd. Totally not recommend. I have heard good word of mouth about Bittu Kulche Wala. If time permits i will visit and review.

It is a much talked place in Amritsar for Veg food lovers and certainly ticks all the boxes for its popularity. It has got simple ambience & quick service. If you are looking for good vegetarian food in Amritsar, it’s a must place to visit. We tried Dal Makhni, Paneer Tikka masala and both the items were really yummy.

Heard a lot about the place before visiting. But my experience was not good. The service was very slow. Chai was served in 40 minutes and although was bad in taste. Food was good but not as expected as per the price. I tried paneer kulcha thali. Hygine is well maintained. Various dishes were available and good space available for a big group to visit.

Wonderful place …..Food was Lovely …..Everyday a lot of footfall is witnessed here . I just love this place . Firni was one of my favourite sweet dish . If you are visiting Amritsar go for this option for your food . It is nearby Golden Temple (between Railway station and Golden temple ) infront of Partition Museum . Upon our arrival on a Sunday, we had a brief 5-minute wait for a table, which is quite reasonable for a weekend. However, the table cleaning process took longer than expected, and it didn't leave the table as clean as we'd hoped. Our food order did take a while to reach us, and the portion size was notably smaller than we anticipated. On a positive note, the Roti and Paneer Tikka Masala were highlights, offering delicious flavors. Unfortunately, the Dal Makhani fell short of our expectations. In terms of pricing, we found the restaurant to be on the expensive side, given the overall experience. In conclusion, I might hesitate to recommend this restaurant to others due to the wait times, portion sizes, and pricing. However, it's worth trying for the Roti and Paneer Tikka Masala if you're in the area.

Bharwan the dhaba is one of the famous pure veg dhaba in Amritsar serving kulchas , parathas and authentic Punjabi food . This restaurant was opened in 1912 as a tent and now transformed into a full-fledged dining restaurant. The food is fresh and not very spicy . Taste is good and the cost is nominal , At an average it will cost approximately 500/600 for 2 people . Location - it's near the partition museum on a heritage street walk . The Golden temple is also walkable . Overall a nice option if you are looking for a pure veg restaurant in Amritsar near Golden Temple.

They took their special thaali that includes cholle, paneer, special dal makhani, sabji and raita. But instead had 2 different thalis in place which were very good too. Maybe they bring back that jumbo thalli. Desserts were just mouth watering tasty. Gulab jamun, phirni on point. My all time favourite was dal makhani point blank period. Aloo kulcha also tasted phenomenally scrumptious.

If you are in Amritsar please try the foods of any dhaba. I visited Bharwan da Dhaba. The food is really awesome and especially Paneer kulcha thali. Must try it. I also tried Makki ki Roti and Sarso da Saag and the taste is okayish. But the price of the food is on the higher side. And it is a complete veg restaurant. If you are the punjabi food lover then this is the heaven for you.

We heard a lot about this amazing place so thought of giving it a try. Generally there are places which are over hyped by influencers. But trust me this one is amazing! It was very crowded but the sitting area is huge as well. A lot of staff is also there. We had to wait in the queue for our turn. Food is amazing. Dal makhni was too good. The way the flavour infuses in your mouth is just.. I can’t explain in words. My mouth is watering🤤 even when I’m writing this review thinking of that dal. 😛 Paneer and other all dishes are too good. Nice and Air conditioned. Staff and service is quick as well. Toilets and washing area could improve. Totally recommended. Please do give a like if you found my review helpful! 👍 Thank you!

This place started as a dhaba in 1912. Now the place has turned into a restaurant with delicious food made in ghee. Visit this place in the afternoon for lunch as during the evening or night you might have to wait for 30-60 mins to have a seat. Must try amritsari aalu kulcha thali and rajma chawal. We had ordered and forgot to click the pictures, but luckily clicked before finishing the food. Talking about the service, it's not as good as the name of the restaurant. They'll take a lot of time taking your order and then again some more time serving you. Also must try firni and kheer of this place. The pricing is quite average, will not burn holes in your pockets.

We were in Amritsar for a day to visit Golden Temple. We heard a lot about Bharwan Da Dhaba through Youtube and influencers so we decided to have dinner at Bharawan Da Dhaba. Bharwan Da Dhaba is a popular restaurant in Amritsar serving delicious foods. When we went for dinner the restaurant was full with people. Soon we got our place to sit and order dinner. After checking out the menu we decided to order Choor Chor Naan along with Karahi Paneer and Lacheedar Parantha. The service was good and soon we got our dinner. We first had Choor Chor Naan which was good and delicious. We loved Choor Chor Naan with black chole. Then we had Karahi Paneer with Lacheedar Parantha. The panner was okay. It could have been delicious. The restaurant is popular for customers and visitors visiting Amritsar but taste of food can be improved.

One of the best place to have Chole kulcha and dal makhni in Amritsar. Walking distance from Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden temple). Dal makhni is very buttery and delicious. Kulchas are very soft and finger licking. Special deluxe thali includes dal, paneer, Chole, paratha, rice, raita and salad, enough for two persons. Restaurant is a little high priced compared to others, ambiance is okish, service is okay too. If you are looking for a place which serves good food which is walkable distance from Golden temple and ambiance is not your preference then this is a must try place.

Dined here yesterday. Food is ok ok types. Sarson ka saag was above par. Amritsari kulcha thali & makki ki roti was just ok. Food quantity is very much sufficient. Refined oil has replaced butter/ghee these days it seems....Found no ghee/butter flavour in the food. Waiters are not interested in suggesting good food or reply back to customers properly. Lack promptness in service. You have to call them multiple time to attend your table for some prompt requirement. Never saw them smilling. All this experience was during non peak season & just at the start of business hours, when there is no excuse of multiple orders or custome rush. At times, it feels unwanted at their premises seeing these activities. But during payment collection, their good gesture pops up in expectation of tips. 😁 Summary from my side:- Over hyped veg joint. Optional to visit, but not a must try.

Third class restaurant. We went there after looking at the google reviews. By mistake also don't go there. Food quality is pathetic. We had ordered makki di roti sarson da saag and special kheer badam. If you have already tasted that menu then you will understand the pathetic food quality they are serving. You will find huge crowd and queue there and you need to wait for at least 1 hour to get food; we were ok with the wait thinking this restaurant is good but when they served plates where food leftovers were still stuck after washing and then the pathetic tasteless food. Never ever visit there. Don't get fooled by the reviews. If I could have given negative rating I would have given so.

Pros: -Good food. All veg. Had kadhai paneer and dal makhni with paratha and roti it was good. -Reasonable pricing. Cons: -Extremely crowded, waiting time is huge and isn't managed. Whichever table you see, you grab it. -Service is lil slow. Floor can be better managed.

Good food. We ordered Aloo, paneer and gobi kulchas. Were very tasty. However, service is not upto the mark. One needs to wait for sometime before order is taken. There are 2 Bhrawan Dhabas adjacent to one another. Different owners though.

Poor service, takes too long to service any order. Staff is rude and only one person seemed to service all the orders. Kulcha and parathas are below average, can get better in street shops at better price and million times better taste. Staff seemed to push only tandoor dishes and don't care if you wish to have anything else in menu.

Normal food to be honest . The kulcha was normal but could have been better . The size was normal . Taste was normal . Not like Wow as I expected. Ordered paneer kulcha and amritsari special kulcha

Alrighty one... Well, Not So good !!! Boiled Onions 🌰 puree in the paneer butter Masala gravy, Tastes not good at all & serving without Butter on the top - Tastes not good. Stewards need tip without serving food on time ⏲️ Have to wait for to get the Tandoori Roti. Eventhough it's not nominal in Rates too... Overall, There are many great Restaurants in Amritsar...Explore those instead of this !! Thanks

This is a place which has become mostly name over time and taste is not that great. We loved the special matka kulfi. Laccha paratha, Dal makhani and shahi paneer were good but not to make the journey for. Bharta was finished by the time we reached. Verdict: Grab the kulfi for dessert and have dinner somewhere else.

It is a famous family restaurant..... But I am finding it to be somewhat down grading in taste and service...... I wish they improve and get back to their original taste.......

The kulcha is really great. We had a paneer kulcha for just ₹90. The stuffing was great and chana along with it tasted awesome. It's a great place to sit and eat, totally worth the value. Must visit in Amritsar.

Great customer service and the food definitely lives upto the hype. The thali is great for one person, in some cases a little extra and the food is just lip smacking! When in Amritsar you can't miss this place

As good as I thought it would be. There was a lot of hype about this restaurant but they didn't live up to it. Food is pretty westernized and made for tourists. Lost the authenticity of Punjabi food which is what people want to eat when they come to Amritsar.

You'll love the taste of Kulchas and curries here! We had Pannee tikka masala with Aloo kulchas. They were really tasty! Do take some time out to visit and have food here. Service was prompt and staffs were welcoming and even give good suggestions of what you can have!

Good place to have authentic punjabi cuisine. Quite expensive but must visit place. Always try to hopin early morning because of rush. It's near to Golden temple.

  • 3/5 Shobhit 2 years ago on Google
The overall food quality was average but quantity was huge. A special thali could fill 2 people with average appetite - all hotels in Punjab top up every dish with some grease (not butter which they pretend to) and that can cause massive acidity but this is recommended over others.

Very bad . Neither the food is great not the service. We have to send away our Dal Fry because it was burnt and the the waiter offered yellow dal fry which had literally no taste and spices . .....DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE , THE FOOD IS EXPENSIVE AND LESS IN QUANTITY AND VERY BAD IN TASTE.
