It is a really tiny place with no more than 15 seats. But the food here is amazing. I tried the vada here is the best. It is one of the tastiest vadas Ive had. The other items in the menu are also good. The prices are also very cheap. The only complaints I had was how cramped it was. Otherwise its a great place.

Had a very bad experience as a tourist from North India. Very rude staff. Do not go if you need spoon to eat food. They have a strict and strange policy of not giving spoons to customers. The reason is that if they give spoon to one customer then others will also demand and they don't have enough spoons to fulfill the demand. Instead, go to Indian Coffee House nearby. It is much better.

If you are looking for breakfast then I must recommend this hotel. Order masala dosa you will be amazed. And the specialty of this hotel is Medu vada you must try. And boating for Allepey Back water is nearly 500m from it.

This place is a gem! The meals are served on banana leaves which is rare. It was all very tasty and we also had the biriyani which was light, fragrant and not oily at all. We also went for dinner and of course the food was really tasty! The people working there are super friendly too! Great place!

Staff and owner both were rude. We asked for a some dish and the waiter answered of it rudely that not available and went away without taking order. Lots of conflicts were going on between customers and the staff as well as the owner.

Really a good place to have good Vegetarian food. We were looking to get lunch for a dozen+ of us, and they were quite kind to send their containers with us to home. We had a nice family lunch on banana leaves thanks to them. All items were quite tasty, and our family enjoyed the meals so very much!

Delicious Vegetarian Food, Best In Alappuzha.

A place where you get fresh n hot vegetarian food like puttu, kadala, cherupayar, pappadam, thattudosha, masaladodha and so on.. a calm n quiet ordinary hotel which is not very cozy, but neat and tidy. Usually we prefer to go there in the evening to have something fresh and tasty

Pure vegetarian restaurant. Out of only few places where pure veg food is available,GOkulam is one of the rare. YOu will like food only if you are local. But as pure veg food is rarely available its not a bad deal. Only rice meal available in Lunch. So i opted for it,no alternative. 3 start for food quality,rest for running pure veg restaurant in place like Alleppey. Only south indian meal is available in Lunch. cheap. Average taste wise.

They only had veg. biriyani and veg. meals for lunch. The veg. biriyani was good. But one person in our group used the toilet which is inside their kitchen and came back not wanting to eat any of their food. The toilet was fully exposed to the kitchen at the top and its door was covered only with a curtain. Hygiene is extremely poor.

The quality and taste of food nosedived after the death of its founder-owner. Now his in-laws manage the restaurant. Still its okay to go there for breakfast or for a quick bite and coffee.

Poori feel like cake because of content maida! Quality is getting low these days in Golulam! Feeling Pity!
