My stay at this place was magnificent. Compared to other all inclusive resorts the food was not that great but after we got the tip to pay a difference per person to go to the better restaurants it redeemed itself. As far as what to expect, fun staff out in the pool, loud speakers in the beach for the vibes. The fellas Angel, Joe and team are the liveliest people you will meet there. They make every moment memorable.

I have very mixed feelings about this resort. We arrived at 2pm and they told us our room would be ready at 3pm. We had lunch at the buffet and walked around a bit before heading back to the front desk. Our room was not ready and they asked us to wait in the lobby. We waited for 40 mins before they told us our room was ready. Once we got to the room I immediately noticed how dated it was. The room itself is okay, but the bathroom was very outdated and felt like it needed a deep cleaning. They only provide one body towel per person, and one face towel per person. They do not give you a towel to place on the floor like most hotels. Every towel we received had old yellow stains on them which grossed me out immediately. Our sheets in the bed also had black mascara looking stains on them as well. On our second day at the resort, housekeeping took our towels when they cleaned the room in the morning and they did not replace them for hours. We asked if we could have towels when we got back from the pool/beach and they said the towels were not ready yet. We did not get new towels until that night, and yes, they were stained. One day when I was showering, the towel rack in the shower fell and hit my legs pretty hard out of no where. I did not pull on it or anything. Also, the shower pressure is super weak and the water smells bad. There are no activities on the adult side, so you have to walk or take the train to the palace next door. Not a huge deal, but a little inconvenient if you don't want to be around a bunch of little kids and families. On the bright side, the beach was beautiful and I thought the pool was really nice as well. Overall, I would not stay at this resort again.

We stayed here as a mother daughter trip and had the best time. The food was delicious, we were able to visit all the included restaurants (we weren’t premium) and also tried the Mexican restaurant which was our favorite. We loved the buffets too. The drinks were great, they had just about every cocktail you could think of. We also loved the daily dance/workout classes. The train to get to the palace resort was always a fun journey. We much preferred the pool area on the Adults side, the palace side was much more chaotic (but worth checking out a few times for change of scenery). Lastly, we are not fluent Spanish speakers but were able to communicate just fine with the workers. We would definitely come back!

First, the location is great, 15min from the airport. Staff is extremely amicable and very pleasant. Many restaurants to choose from with a wide range of types of food. Really appreciated the many salads specially with the very hot weather. Stayed at the adult wing of the resort which is obviously calmer than the family side. Also appreciated the gym, limited weight selection but had enough equipment to allow for a decent workout. The entertainers are great, look for Wilson, great young men and a fantastic dancer that is part of the entertainers group !!

Excellent to rest and have a good time with friends or as a couple. Customer service is excellent and attention to detail. The atmosphere at the pool is calm and the entertainment during the day is acceptable. I consider that there are points that can be improved, such as the rooms and their bathrooms, which are somewhat outdated, at least the bathtub is. The food at the buffet, although good, does not have a high variety. Maybe there isn't as much variety because you can cross to the other complex where the buffet is bigger and they have everything. Staying at this hotel you can walk or by train to the other complex or the so-called family one and you can enjoy all the activities, swimming pools, bars and buffets for free. In fact, some restaurants at night are located in this complex, so you must leave some time in advance to arrive on time. I would definitely visit this hotel again, you will have a very pleasant time. Foam party at the pool was something I was looking forward to but apparently they don't do it yet.

The resort has a beautiful setting and the palace side seems clean and updated. The beach side (adults only) is a huge disappointment. The rooms are absolutely disgusting. They are filthy, both rooms we had made my skin crawl. We were moved to a different room for more of the same filth. The rooms need gutted and redone. They are falling apart and dated. The housekeeping is appalling. Hairs everywhere, they don’t clean anything properly, floors so dirty you can’t walk on them barefoot. Stained bed linens, our first room had no pillow cases. You have to beg for towels and they bring towels around after 5pm. We received ripped and stained towels, dirty towels. SO GROSS. Food is not good either some days it was inedible. A few of the restaurants are halfway decent but nothing to write home about. Do not stay here if you want a comfortable stay. This is so disappointing after waiting a year for this vacation. I feel like we got catfished. Customer service is awful.

What a wonderful week away from home! We enjoyed the sun and service! Food was 10/10 and drinks were always cold! The beach was so close and I never felt like I was walking miles to get to places!!! Definitely recommend checking it out! The disco and late night life was a 3min shuttle/bus away & the shuttle ran to 3am!!!! You also have wifi everywhere, which was a plus for us being away from our daughter.

The room was typical for a resort. We all(4 of us) thought food was good. Housekeeping was good but they would often come by in the evening delivering towels which should have been delivered in the morning when they cleaned our rooms at 8 or 9 in the morning ( hint: they clean early). But this wasn’t the housekeepers fault because they did a really good job cleaning our rooms. The pool bartenders and waitresses delivering drinks at pool bar were great. Look, it’s a great resort to come and relax and have a good time. We also played golf at the main resort and it is absolutely beautiful and well worth it!!!

Don’t waste your money on this resort!! It pains me to give this a two star because the first time I went there years ago was amazing. The beginning of the week was calm pretty much. So our room for me and my wife two days before we were leaving got flooded; a pipe broke in the ceiling of the room and water drowned the room. Luckily I was inside to save most of our things, and got out and called the staff. Long story short they gave us another room which appeared to be damaged as well as water was showing on that ceiling also, until we got a third one after an hour of waiting. They wanted to give us a complementary dinner for the troubles after signing a disclaimer saying pretty much we’re good to go. We tried to ask them to replace two things that got really wet, and they offered to wash what got wet. So the dinner thing didn’t work out as the manager was rude and no one told us this was a formal dressing restaurant. Next day we demanded the two things get replaced, and the manager there literally stayed on top of us as we were picking the items from the gift shop, and we signed another disclaimer. Very uncomfortable!! We also gave them the clothes that got wet to wash, and I’m almost sure they just washed them with regular water as they still felt dirty. So the main bad things about this resort were: 1-bad management as all they cared about was escaping responsibility. We spent a good amount of money there and we stayed a week. You’d think they would show good customer service after all that’s happened 2-the resort had no night activities although we went in October and we heard other resorts had night activities 3-on the day we we’re checking out, they wanted to charge us for the services they had done (washing, and the two items from the gift shop), until we had to explain again what happened and to go and talk to the manager My advice, pick another resort. Don’t waste your money on this one.

I’m sitting here now in front of the receptionist desk because I’m waiting on a manager to speak to me about an ongoing problem that I have here at the hotel. When we first arrived the ceiling in the bathroom looked a little dented in (as if the ceiling was getting ready to cave in). We talked to the front desk and they said they would send a maintenance crew to fix the situation and nothing was done. So we kind of ignored the issue, but the hole became bigger. I’m afraid that the whole ceiling will come down on us at anytime. So I called the front desk and no one answers the phone! I allowed it to ring for 10 min, and then I finally just went down. When I went down to the lobby there was only one couple in line getting checked in with a couple of front desk receptionists just standing there. One acknowledged me and I explained the issue with the shower ceiling. He stated that he would get maintenance to come in and see about the issue. I’m addition, the food was just mediocre…maybe it’s because I’m vegetarian and my choices were kind of limited. The rice was always crunchy and stale, and the cooks always had dirty fingernails. The handled the food incorrectly. The liquor/bar was horrible. The drinks were way to sweet because they used syrup as our drink with the strawberry daiquiri and pina colada. They were suppose to blend it up with ice. The drinks tasted like cough medicine. Just a horrible time all together. Was not pleased with customer service, food, and drinks.

We visited shortly one week after a hurricane so I'm trying to give consideration given the circumstances. Views and grounds from our room were fantastic and well kept. We booked VIP w/ King bed. Received two double beds, which we did ask why but didn't complain much further. Room was okay, a little worn but views made up for that. Food was decent, hibachi was great. The upgraded places that were included in VIP were well worth it when compared to standard restaurants The hydrotherapy was great and service was fantastic for the most part all over the resort. Would I come back, probably not but not all due to the resort. I think we would just prefer Cabo or Bahamas.

Where do I start? Barcelo Hotels & Resorts is so amazing. I booked 9 days at this amazing resort. I enjoyed my stay so much that I decided to stay another week. The staff is amazing, the hotel is absolutely beautiful, and the food, hands downs the best in the Caribbeans. It's hard to find places that Carter to vegetarians but the chef’s at this amazing resort know exactly what they are doing. They even have gluten free options which is extremely hard to find. It’s the little things that makes Barcelo a great vacation spot. They literally have something for everyone. From the countless activities, entertainment, and the beautiful beach, I highly recommend you booked your next vacation here at Barcelo! Shout out to Nicol Hernandez she’s the best. She’s literally the life of the resort!!

We had and amazing time. The hotel is kept in great condition. The beach is clean, with lifeguards and security on duty. Marlene y Risa and the whole animation team was fantastic! All the staff at the Barceló Beach was so kind and respectful. My only recommendation is to skip your dinner at The Coral, it took an hour just to get waters and we got severely ill hours after eating there. We met a couple people that got ill from this restaurant too. Other than that everything was wonderful!! Will definitely come back.

This Property is meticulously maintained. All the staff were friendly and sociable. Use the buffets for breakfast and lunch, and make reservations at their restaurants for dinner as it’s included, aside from alcohol. Positives were, very spacious area’s to chill out at, including the beach. Very friendly staff. Negatives were, lack of beach bar (for the alcoholics) and pool side bar closes early evening. Shout out to David in restaurant for great service!

Have been to this resort at least 7 times and just returned from two weeks in February with friends after Covid. Our friends loved the resort and will definitely be back. The beach front is amazing. It is very wide with lots of chairs and room to spread out. The food is great, the staff are friendly and the resort and rooms are spotless. We want to especially thank Sandy who was able to reserve the rooms we requested for our two week stay. She went above and beyond to make our vacation enjoyable and stopped to chat whenever we saw her. Would highly recommend this resort and will definitely be back in 2024

The beach is very nice, beautiful and transparent water. The only problem that we can see is too much sea weed on the shore. About room premises, our bathroom is a little bit too old, need renovations. Other than that it’s a prefect hotel, great for excellent vacation.

My husband and I had the most amazing week here! Staff were incredibly friendly and always went above and beyond. Entertainment staff were especially wonderful and made for a lot of fun, interactive activities throughout our stay (Jorky and Jonathon were particularly great). The waitress we had most often for breakfast and lunch, Maria, was so friendly and hard-working. The resort itself was very well designed - we were close to the beach, a large pool, and many restaurants. The food was delicious (especially Kyoto Japanese restaurant) and there was a large variety of styles to choose from. The resort was very clean and we could tell how much effort went into keeping everything maintained. We also had an awesome snorkelling excursion with Hispaniola Aquatic Adventures that we would highly recommend. Overall, great experience! We will definitely come back!

If you don't have any food allergies and love to smoke this is the place. Gluten free options sucked. Drinks were okay. Beach, pool, and premium room was great. You have to check out the Ocean Spa excursion. Will not be back.

Wonderful experience! Fun activities and beautiful beaches!! The entertainment team is AMAZING!!! Marleny and Kirsti keep the party GOING!! Love how they have dance lessons too! Drinks are Great! Service could definitely be better. AVOID THE PALACE FOR MEALS and even staying there. SO MUCH NOISE and the service is terrible on that side. We stayed at the adults only section and find ourselves retreating back whenever we visit the palace side. Come here for a nice relaxing time spent by the pool or beach. Absolutely LOVED the spa and would recommend! We had the Romantic Escape package and constantly rave about it! Even considered skipping an excursion to go back! Rooms are mediocre but when you only sleep and shower there, it doesn’t matter much.

Great Week! George Michael was attentive and alert to our needs. All the servers were happy, big smiles, and helpful. Chill as you like or have a fun time with the "crew"! Nice and clean, great view of the water. AC will freeze you out if you don't set it high enough! Balcony and chairs for coffee. Great way to start your day.

We've had lots of fun as our time at Bavaria Beach Resort is winding down. The entertainment crew kept us dancing, playing games and learning Spanish. It is surprising how much you can learn in such a short time! George was invested in us learning as much as we could and was very patient with us novices! Thank-you, George! Gracias, George!

This was the greatest moments i ever have in Punta Cana Dominican Republic. This Resort is for my knowledge the biggest one in that particular area. All inclusive, food and drinks never stop. The waiters were amazing and you first checked in the provide you access to the bar and you can get a welcome cocktail. I’m excited to get back there.

The staff is what made this location amazing. The rooms were a little outdated I had to figure out how to keep the lights on. If you turn all the lights off in your room your outlets electricity goes away as well so you cannot keep your items charging while you sleep. The buffet for breakfast and dinner was satisfying. We made reservations at the steakhouse everybody's steak was amazing but I got a bad cut of ribeye. It was mainly gristle and I'd ask for it to be cooked medium rare and it was rare. The beach area was beautiful and relaxing and their pool area has adequate lounge areas in and out of the pool.

Wonderful place to spend with family & friends as resort has great amenities, activities, beach setting and pools. The adult only resort allows for a tranquil and relaxed atmosphere. The plus is that you have access to the other two sister resorts that are accessible by foot, or, shuttle transport that runs all day/late night. There are also a variety of restaurants that provide a wide selection of cuisine so you won't need to repeat the same meal during your stay, unless you prefer to!

I checked in to your resort room 1098 on June 1st. We were greeted by Maria, and she explained the process and policies about the room keys etc. After being up for 17 hours and traveling all I wanted to do was take a shower and relax. However when I entered the room, it was not the room I requested which was supposed to be an ocean front because I was celebrating a birthday. I noticed there were no face cloths or towels available. I made a call downstairs to the front desk to ask for linen and towels and they assured me they would bring them. Three hours later still nothing. I had to personally go downstairs to the front desk again and demand the things I needed so that I could take a shower. Took another 2 hours for that. One of the beds was broken which made it uncomfortable to sleep in. During my stay no one came to attend to the room or clean it. On the 3rd day I had enough of the dirty room and demanded someone come clean it. The mold and dirt around the tub was disgusting, and the bed linen need to be changed along with sweeping the floors. Your housekeeping staff did a terrible job. They put the same dirty linen back on the bed which by the way had red stains on it and when I asked her could we get more face cloths and towels they had the audacity to cut up a towel and give it to me to use.(see attachment) This is unacceptable for the amount of money that I paid to stay here and the food was awful. I'm hoping you will review this information and try to make it right by either refunding me my money or allow me a complimentary stay for 5 days with the ocean front room/suite I originally requested.

We had the extraordinary pleasure of spending our vacation at Hotel Barceló Bávaro Beach - Adults Only and getting to know the fantastic animator, George. His incredible energy and dedication to creating unforgettable moments made our time in Punta Cana truly special. George was truly the best, and we would like to send warm greetings from Deni, Kati, Casanova, and Edi. George was a master entertainer, and he infected us with his positive aura. Whether it was playing volleyball or football, he was always ready to actively engage us and ensure fun and laughter. His enthusiasm was contagious, and it was an absolute joy to spend time with him. He made sure we felt comfortable and fully enjoyed the various activities. Not only was George a great sports animator, but he was also always there to fulfill our wishes. Whether it was bringing us a refreshing drink or assisting us in organizing excursions, he was ever-present, ensuring we felt well taken care of. His attention to detail and commitment to excellent service truly impressed us. We will forever cherish the time spent with George and the countless unforgettable experiences he provided. His vibrant personality and dedication made our stay at Hotel Barceló Bávaro Beach - Adults Only an unforgettable experience. We would like to express our gratitude for his kindness, professionalism, and enthusiasm. If we have the opportunity to visit Punta Cana again in the future, we hope that George is still there to captivate us once more. Overall, we can wholeheartedly say that George is the best animator we have ever encountered. We are deeply grateful for the wonderful memories he has given us, and we send him warm greetings from Deni, Kati, Casanova, and Edi. If you're seeking an exceptional holiday experience, be sure to visit Hotel Barceló Bávaro Beach - Adults Only and look forward to the delightful hospitality provided by George.

The resort itself was nicely put together and it was a fun time, but during our 5 night stay, my boyfriend and I encountered some problems. First, we had our lights go out for about half a day, we informed the staff around noon & thought, “no big deal” as we were going to spend hours at the beach. Well, around 6:00 we decided to head back up to shower and get ready for night activities, however, we still had no light in our room. Considering the bathroom is in an area with no natural light, it was quite inconvenient. So we called again & they gave us some attitude. We then waited for an hour, checking the lights here and there, until finally they came back on (nobody informed us of anything, we just had to keep trying to turn them on). Second, we were given 2 room keys, one of which consistently never worked, even when brought to get replaced (which led to us being locked out one night). Third, the service to receive water to the room was slim to none. We called one morning - no answer. This was equivalent to torture as you can’t drink the tap & nothing is open anymore to save you. The next day we called in the afternoon & sat and waited an hour for them not to come, so we went to the bar & ordered bottles there. Finally, for an adult only resort, I thought it was strange how early everything seemed to shut down, you were basically forced to go to the children-filled palace if you wanted to continue drinking. (Not a big issue, but still odd) Altogether, besides those issues, the resort was really nice. The food was decent and there was a large variety of drinks. Most of the staff were also amazing (shoutout the bartenders & guest services especially). The beaches were also BEAUTIFUL and the pool area was well kept.

Let me start off by saying this place is great! From the moment you arrive until you leave you’re treated politely, all staff strives to make your stay amazing. If you’re planning to go soon please do have in mind: book your activities either the moment you arrive or before as well as the ala carte restaurants. Now I did see people complain because they were “charged extra for those restaurants” do not let them get in your head. THEY ARE WORTH IT! If you’re willing to spend only $15 per person and get a nice, fresh, 4 course meal by amazing chefs! The buffet was alright, then again it is a buffet, they do have A LOT of variety which helped my picky eater-self. The room was spotless, comfortable and well equipped, the room service was always on time and left it great every time. I would also like to personally thank both front desk agents: Ruth Garcia and Carlos Mateo who took care of us our first day, they were very polite, informed us with everything we needed and answered all our questions. This place is definitely worth it. Can’t wait to come back!

We absolutely loved this resort! The food was very good, particularly lunch and dinner buffet. The grounds are very well maintained. The service was also very good. The activities were also very fun. We had a great time interacting with Perla Negra, he was so fun and welcoming each time we saw him. He always engaged us and encouraged us to participate, it was lovely to see a friendly face each day! Thank you to all the staff for a great stay!

stayed at this hotel for the first time and my experience in the facilities was quite good, inside the room I find them that need to be remodeled !!! The bathroom is not prepared for a person with an impediment or difficulty in any part of their body, such as legs, shoulders, knees, etc. The 5 days I had to put towels on the bathroom floor since the water comes out and fills the floor of course with water !!! I understand the glass part that they have in the bathtub, very dangerous if someone falls into it!!!! I think that although it is an environment for adults, I found that it has very little or I can say almost no entertainment for adults!!!! Good food and very attentive employees but as I said before, the rooms need some change since I found them quite obsolete

Stunning beauty. Forget the room's air conditioner is dripping water, keeping the floor wet. Have a drink at the pool. Forget the shower doesn't have a door letting the water run out, adding to the pool of water in the room, have a drink at the pool bar. The place is awesome, but the rooms are tired. Did I say no one speaks fluent English? People just get by. Alcohol is available everywhere.

Had a wonderful 5 night vacation. Here’s a long list of things I would have liked to know when making the decision to book. ***DONT FORGET SUNSCREEN. The gift shop wanted $37 (USD) for a bottle.*** Adults Only: Highly recommend for couples/ groups without kids. It’s obviously not as large as the family/ Palace section, but that’s a plus. Everything was SO close to my room which is super convenient when you just need to run back and get something, or after a long night at the bar 😜. Plus The Palace is less than a 10 min walk away (or 3 min shuttle train). Honestly I think my room was closer to the Palace’s main building than some of the rooms in that section. Room: we didn’t book the Preferred level, but I didn’t see anything lacking with my room. Ocean view, minibar (included) was stocked every day. Everything work correctly. Beach: yes, there’s seaweed (not sure if that’s actually what it was) and A LOT of it. I’m not sure why, but staff didn’t get the trucks out to completely clean the beach for a few days. Instead they shoveled paths so we could actually get to the water without walking over it. The smell bothered me more than anything, but it wasn’t a huge deal to me. On my last night they were able to clean the entire beach, so I got a seaweedless morning before I checked out. It wasn’t a huge deal for me, but if the beach is of high importance to you, keep that in mind for this and the surrounding resorts. Also there isn’t a beach bar. The pool bar is close enough, and the walk didn’t kill me, but staff won’t bring drinks onto the beach to you. I didn’t use any of the water amenities, but I believe they are all located at the Palace’s end of the beach. Pool: Where I spent most of my time. Never had issues finding a chair or feelings overcrowded. Your allowed to bring a speaker and play music, just be respectful of others around you. Most people encouraged the music, so have fun. You also have access to the other sections pools. They’re worth a look at. Food: we had access to book reservations to 4 of the resorts restaurants for our dinners. I’m guessing premium members can make reservations at all of them, but I’m not sure. Again, all included unless ordering something extra noted on the menu. Chez Gourmet was amazing. For nights without a reservation or breakfast/ lunch we had the buffets. Buffet food was fine. I’ve never had “out of this world” buffet food, so I never understood why people complain about them. Lunch/ Dinner was better than breakfast. There looked like there were more options at the Buffet in The Palace, but SO many more people. It also felt more like a cafeteria. The buffet in Adults Only was less hectic, and also open air. For me that was a huge plus. Staff seemed to focus more on bigger tables, but you can get up and get your own drinks if no one is around. Bars: drinks were stronger than I thought they would be. Had to space them out. The quality was a little hit and miss. One day something would taste a little different than the day before. Not sure if that was the quality or the liquor or mixers (or both). But I did have to change my drinks up to find one that wasn’t too sweet or too bitter. Entertainment: Do to Covid there aren’t any live shows. The Palace has a beautiful theater, so I can’t wait to come back after Covid to see it really used. They play taped concerts every night instead. The Casino is open but gives off Atlantic City in the 1980s vibes. The club was closed do to Covid, which I understand, but did leave something lacking. The “theater” in Adults Only is a huge indoor/ outdoor space with lighting and sound already set up. Why not play some music at night? Seems like a missed opportunity. Shopping: there are shops on site, but I’m not sure who’s the target. They’re brand names at full price. So really stuff you can probably find at your mall. I really did love it and will return.

I'm not sure how this resort has almost 5 stars. I was disappointed in my resent stay there. The staff is rude and nasty to you. The food was horrendous. I pretty much starved the whole week I was there. The rooms are outdated and the bathrooms are filled with mold. The only good thing about my stay was the beach and the pool. I would never recommend this place to anyone!!

This is the second time we’ve visited Barcelo and we have enjoyed our stay. The hotel rooms are very clean, staff is friendly and always accommodating. There are several restaurants with a variety of options to choose from. Highly recommend. The entertainment is great and Josefina is very nice and always gets everyone involved in the activities.

All of my expectations were exceeded. The hotel was beautiful, right on the beach and the view was spectacular, and they have a gorgeous pool area. The buffet was very good, with a variety of different foods to try. There were many fun group activities, and every night there was a different kind of dancing with live music. The staff were all wonderful and very welcoming, and the entertainment was top tier. Many thanks to Mini Me, Kissy, Princessa, Poppy, Jan, and Nikki for making this an unforgettable experience and providing amazing entertainment and so much fun. We came during the rainy season but the staff did an amazing job working around this and still making it a gorgeous stay and wonderful vacation!

The adult only section is pretty awesome, and food options are decent as well. Rooms are big in size and clean enough. Wouldn't say great, but it's a good place to stay for a week. Beach is nice and clean, too. Casino and the disco are okay. If your stomach is sensitive, be careful of what u eat and drink!

If you book this expecting a hotel, you will be presently surprised. If you book this expecting an all inclusive resort, you will likely be disappointed. The food although free, is very poor. I can eat just about anything, but it was difficult for me to eat their food for multiple meals. If you speak Spanish you will likely enjoy the resort. Less than half the staff speaks English, so it can be fairly difficult at times to communicate if your Spanish is weak.

This all-inclusive resort is adults only. Which is great if you want peace and quiet. The beach and pool areas are very relaxing. The age of most of guests are 30-60 yrs. There is not a lot of partying as one would assume. The resort is huge! There is a buffet and a steakhouse (need reservations for the steakhouse). The food is okay. It's not fantastic. They offer free beer and wine...however, mixed drinks 🍸 can be purchased. They have golf, tennis, and a casino etc... They also have a schedule of classes and entertainment. My room was somewhat clean...there were footprints all over the floor. Soap scum in the bathroom, and discarded garbage under the bed. The service was meh. The employees were not too terribly happy to serve in the dining room, never saw any of them smile. They didn't seem like they enjoyed their jobs... it was kind of a bummer to be around them. It's on a great beach. That's probably the best part of the resort. Other than that, it's just... meh.

The hotel is really nice ! Especially the beach, not a single wave. We stayed in the bavaro Beach part which is adult only. Everyone is so nice and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay here. It’s our 3rd time in the same resort. Also, Jason is a good dancer 🕺

Hi the owner of this wonderful place. We are coming to your resort not the first time. We always enjoy to be here We feel ourselves secure especially at this difficult time. But something which is very important component of this resort is ocean access. It is terrible way to get to the water now. it is a lot of dirty grass. Is it possible to clean the access to the water? We are in Bavaro Barcelo resorts for adults only. We appreciate your response and actions. Mark

Great service and clean rooms. However their food and drinks can get better. On the good side you can use the Palace restaurants and amenities which were better than theirs.

Great Resort! Very clean and all the employees are very friendly and welcoming. Beach and pools are maintained well and both are very relaxing. Nice activities and entertainment. Wilson from entertainment came and chatted with us everyday and gave great suggestions on how to spend our time here.

My first time there it was really a beautiful place however after we were told our room was ready the took us there and it was a huge mess not ready at all then we had to wait an hr to get another room the tv in our room didn’t work the whole time we were there 4 days the showers leaked into the bathroom and sink area and the food was one half star quality if that. I wasn’t able to eat a good meal until I got back home. Not the amazing experience I expected. 👎🏻

Had such a good time. Loved the entertainment guys, Alexandra the poolside cocktail waitress and the guys at the Sports Bar. Great food and a great time. Can't wait to go back.

Real 5 stars for location and amenities, 4 stars for rooms and food. Hotel is located on Bavaro Beach, the nicests beach in Punta Cana. Very well maintained and clean common areas. Rooms a bit outdated. Very friendly staff. I recommend upgrading to premium to enjoy free room service and booking to some premium restaurants.

We stayed on the Adults Only side in a Premium Oceanfront Suite. The room matched the photos on the website exactly. The food in the buffets was okay, but our favorite a la carte restaurant was Kyoto.

My boyfriend and I came here in hopes to enjoy a relaxing vacation. The first few days were great, good food, drinks, entertainment and environment. Our 4th night there, my boyfriend began to feel extremely ill. We waited it out thinking it would pass and the day of our departure, things got worse. I went to the front desk to ask for assistance to take my boyfriend to the clinic at the Barcelo palace next door. I received no empathy and most importantly no help from the front desk. They said they could not bring him a wheel chair and no one was available to get him. We got to the clinic on our own where the doctor charged us $180 US (which the front desk did not follow protocol in which we should've been notified before going that it was private practice and not associated with the hotel) to solely check his temperature and further scare us by telling us we can not fly and insisted we spend more money to taxi and check in to the hospital with absolutely no leads of a diagnosis. We flew home and turns out he had salmonella and the flu. We only ate at the resort. As a 22 and 23 year old couple, it was not comforting being in a foreign country with not a single hotel staff member willing to give a helping hand. You will have a great time if you don't get sick. But if you do.... good luck.

Phenomenal trip. Sammy Sosa was great. Lots of laughs. The disco was closed, but a lot of entertainment still going on. Everyone always worked hard and made sure you had a drink in hand. Jonathan was amazing for activities, Miskeyla was my favorite! Extremely great overall, highly recommend.

Good. Rooms are outdated and shower water goes everywhere and floods the floor every time. Food is amazing. Service was amazing and beds are very comfy. They cleaned the rooms nicely. Water is like a bathtub. Nice clear spots in the water but lots of seaweed in between. They play music on the beach but play the same 5 - 10 songs on repeat and can get annoying. Make sure to bring plenty of sunscreen because they charge 25-$35USD per bottle at the shops. Nice and windy at the beach that keep you cool. Not too windy where the sand would pick up. A perfect in between.

Best resort ever!!!! Food was great, all staff and employees were so kind and friendly. Absolutely had a lovely time. Check in process was so easy and fast! The bar and the buffet were amazing! I've been to many all inclusive resorts (over 10) and Barcelo Bavero Beach is definitely top 3 for me. The food is great, the resort is beautiful and clean, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Rosa has been the most friendly to my family and I, always offering us activities to join and is very helpful and kind. If I come back to the Dominican, I will be sure to return to this resort. The only downside is that there is no 24-hour snack bar, you must walk to the Palace (next door resort) to get snacks between meals. Otherwise, absolutely no complaints about this resort! Highly recommended!!! PS- the beach is BEAUTIFUL! Perfect for snorkelling

Loved the check in process. Super friendly staff. When we first got here, we sat by the bar near the pool and had a great experience. Everything is so beautiful and the food was excellent. The room is really clean. Entertainment team is the best got me involved. Brillo (Mr. Wonderful) has been very pleasant every time he saw me and my girlfriend

This resort was absolutely amazing! The staff was super friendly and welcoming, the all inclusive package was definitely worth it, and the atmosphere was just so tranquil and enjoyable! There are so many activities and restaurants there you don’t even have to leave the resort. I would say, the Jelly Fish restaurant which was NOT a part of the resort but, a little downwards the beach trail was not good in case you want to venture off). My husband and I went last October and stayed in the adults only area, everything about it was such an amazing, and overall relaxing experience we’re thinking of going back to THIS particular resort every year now! I would definitely recommend!

Great experience for a get away on a tighter budget. Hotel rooms/accommodation: - They were very nice. Very simple. Regularly cleaned. The only downside was that there wasn't really much space to put your belongings. Food: - Buffet had a great variety of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. - Some restaurants required reservations but weren't too busy. Most of the restaurants had great options and good sized portions. Activities/pool/beach: - Rosa was great as an activity director. She was very engaging and got very involved in the activities. - The pool on the adults side was very nice. Very spacious and clean. The ocean was also very clean. Clear water and easy waves.

The resort is very friendly the staff are great. The entertainment staff are the best especially Chocolatte and black bear they really made us feel welcome and made us laugh. The drinks quality could be better and the waitress staff don’t serve you unless you tip them unfortunately which was a shame. The premium band doesn’t get you any other different drinks it’s all the same so paying the extra really doesn’t mean a thing. If you’re looking for a cheap good time with no frills this is your place.

We are staying at the Barcelo Bavaro Beach and this place is amazing! The beach is beautiful, food is great and the animation team tries so hard to keep everyone entertained on the beach. Shout out to Wilson and Rosa who try so hard to her everyone to participate for making the beach activities so much fun! We tried the water aerobics, Zumba, dance lessons and beach volleyball - all amazing. The place is very clean and the oceanfront premium room had the most amazing views. I highly recommend upgrading to premium since the small price increase is well worth having the additional services such as the lounge, extra restaurants and free room service. We have been to many all inclusive in different places and this is the first time we plan to return here for sure!!!

Great resort with amazing and helpful staff. The resort is quite beautiful and the grounds crew clearly put in a lot of work to make it look nice (especially the beach). Entertainment staff, especially Wilson and Elizabeth were helpful and really engaged us for fun activities. Would recommend this resort and hope to be back one day

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any room. They compare countless hotel sites and typically will have rooms a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the most well known in this area. I've been staying here for years. If you stay for a few nights you won't regret it. The resort is great! Rooms are clean, they have everything you need and the staff is always available.

The resort is great! Rooms are clean, they have everything you need and the staff is always available. The food offer is really good in all outlets, the buffet food is really good too. The location is amazing, services are well organised and the stay is relaxing. The entertainment is great! Wilson and the team are always active and interact with the crowd!!! Great experience so far!

First day at resort, there was a dirty towel in room, toilet handle came off and plumbing in shower was coming out of wall. Customer service was excellent and upgraded us to an ocean view room. Room was very nice, but bathroom area could use a little renovating. Must have been an off week for some Staff because they were rude and not engaging or helpful. Couldn't get wash clothes after numerous requests and minibar not always refilled. We did inform front desk in hopes that issues can be addressed. Beaches were beautiful. Since it was so hot and the water was very warm, there was a lot of seaweed. Staff were out working on the beach early every morning cleaning up the seaweed on the beach. Food was very good and drinks were plentiful.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing romantic getaway. I highly recommend this resort. Staff is friendly and energetic. We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back in the future. The premium room was the way to go. Nicol is the lady for entertainment! Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

The atmosphere is fun and inviting. The adult only portion of the resort is very relaxing. The best part is, that the staff is super involved in making sure you have an unforgettable fun experience. They get you up off your butt (if you want to), teach you how to dance meringue, bachata, y salsa. We especially appreciated the Spanish lessons from one of the team members, Victor. Thanks for a great time!

Place is amazing, 2nd time this year. The staff is excellent. Amazing entertainment. Wilson/chocolate what a character. Great entertainer. Always bring it to life. Full of energy . The restaurant staff are all smiles. We’ve met so many amazing people. The GM Marcos and his amazing team provide a great service. Evelisse, Elizabeth, Flor, rossy and Yvette to name a few. Hard working staff and friendly. I recommend the hotel. Amazing all around.

My husband and I just came back from our honeymoon and loved our stay ! We had one issue when we first checked in our room but it was fixed within 2 hours. Angie at the front desk was extremely helpful! From the food, to the accommodations, to the people - we have no complaints. The resort has something for everyone and is HUGE if you are just looking to walk around. Juan in the lobby bar was great from our morning cappuccinos to our afternoon drinks. It was a great experience and we are so grateful to have spent our honeymoon here.

Nice place for adults, good restaurant a la carte on the territory, calm and quiet place with a very nice beach, walking distance to a desert places

George Michel was very nice. The resort is beautiful and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We weren’t able to book a reservation for dinner ANY time during the week before 9-10pm, even though we booked the next morning after our night of arrival. The casino is amazing and the restaurants are nice, however the food always average across the board.
