So it started by me looking up a local cigar supplier and I came across Bert & his company Vivaldi Cigars. He responded to my messages right away we arranged for his partner to pick me up and drop me off which I was very thankful for with a pit stop along the way.. Bert's master class of cigars and his own knowledge was so informative from how to really smoke a cigar how to clean a cigar while smoking it he really tought me a lot i never knew about cigars the time went by very quickly with some really great cigar tasting of there brand Vivaldi Cigars which is a really great smoke and conversation Bert is a Somalia of Cigars and a class act. I will definitely be back and highly recommend his cigars and class. And this little guy MAX is also the best thank you again for the hospitality.

We visited Vivaldi Cigars with the idea to buy cigars for our friends and family and we left with great knowledge of cigars and especially how to smoke them with real taste. Bert is such a great host and the experience you get wih the time you spend at his home thanks to his passion for cigars is extraordinary. First let me say what a wonderful experience it was going to Vivaldi Cigars. It is not a traditional Brick and Mortar cigar shop as I had thought when we went there. Bert runs the experience from his home and it’s far more than a simple shop, it’s an entire cigar experience, where Bert took us into his personal humidor and taught us a LOT about how to get more out of a cigar. Additionally, the cigar I enjoyed throughout the experience was fantastic, and I ended purchasing a box from him before I left. Bert was accommodating, informative and very engaging throughout the experience. I would highly recommend this experience for anyone who enjoys cigars. Bert is phenomenal! We went to his place thinking it was a simple cigar shop to just buy cigars. Come to find out it is actually Berts house and this is not your normal cigar shop. On his day off he gave us the full experience! He will teach you everything you need to know about cigars, truly left with a greater appreciation in the art that goes into making and smoking a cigar. In life sometimes the most unexpected events became the most memorable and this was definitely one! I was just visiting the area and looking for some good sticks. My friend and I showed up having no knowledge that Bert worked on appointments only. However, he still accepted us, on his day off. I knew the cigars on the resort are BS and looked for a place outside of the resort . $25 for a fake Cuban lol ....not for me At first I was thinking that I am walking into a local cigar shop but was I ever wrong ..... First the product - amazing cigars ... in par with the very best. I did try 3 of their cigars , very top notch , perfect blend , amazing draw just perfect. The people - both Bert and Emile know everything that needs to be known about cigars . They explain the products , different tobacco, seeds how to blend etc . Very very knowledgeable. I wish I had more time to spend there. Apart from their knowledge they are also very nice and accommodating people . Chatting with them was a pleasure and the time went by super fast. The experience - do yourself a favor and spend one afternoon there . You will not regret it . No matter what you read in here nothing will replace the actual experience. Bert is by far the most knowledgeable cigar enthusiast on Earth. His place offers a unique safe haven for cigar fans. He will guide you with great patience though all the essentials of cigar smoking in his unique cigar masterclass. The cigars are top notch. Something hard to find over regular stores. These are hand crafted boutique cigars made in Dominican Republic. Incomparably better than anything you find in stores in the country. I brought in some pieces I purchased in touristic places and we had fun analyzing them although it was less funny to learn what rubbish is sold to you as top notch cigars by some tourist stores. Also worth the mention, Bert was kind enough to pick me up at the hotel. Overall a great experience, thanks so much and definitely will come back!

So happy we found Vivaldi Cigars and Bert during our trip in Punta Cana. If you’re in PC looking for amazing cigars and genuine people this is the spot. Bert and Aram are absolute legends. Even as a novice smoker I feel like a pro now. Was such a wholesome experience relaxing in the lounge of his cozy house. They treated us to some fantastic coffee and cigars as they gave us insight into some industry secrets. Also got us some great deals on some VERY nice cigars. Amazing people and an experience like NO OTHER in the DR. Forgot a couple cigars at the lounge and we met with Aram the next day, hospitality is on another level from these wonderful humans.

Bert is an island treasure. When I saw all of these 5 star reviews I was sure this is some kind of pumped gimmick. But, since I didn't have to buy anything up front I figured why not. We drive up to his place, he offers you coffee to clean your pallet and then you choose a cigar. The next hour and a half is best described as meeting a long lost friend. Conversation is great and the education about cigar making and smoking is second to none. This business is a real island treasure. Novice or aficionado have something to gain from this. Call and make an appointment. But don't call on the last day in the area as he may be booked up.

Hands down if you are a cigar smoker visiting Bert is going to be a highlight of your trip to the DR. He was kind enough to pick me up at my resort and we spent the next 3 hours smoking and doing his cigar master class at his in home humidor. I received so much deep detail about his cigars and the process of top end cigar production. He also helped me move my cigar smoking process from one of the avid amateur to a true connoisseur. We discussed proper lighting, storage, smoking and even relighting. He did not charge for any of the samples, but I certainly bought a lot to take home. His prices are incredible considering the quality and pride that goes into his cigars. I would highly recommend that you have a good meal before you go and maybe take a sweet drink if you are prone to cigar nausea. I used to consider myself a cigar smoker but after learning from a professional I realized how much I didn't know. My family and I spent nearly 3 hours in the hospitality of Bert, and I can say we enjoyed every second. Bert has quite the personality and our time with him was fun, but he also was very professional. He never pressed us to buy any cigars, and it was apparent that he has an intense passion for his industry and his company. I am very grateful for the time we were able to spend at Vivaldi Cigars and I can confidently say it is one of my fondest memories in Punta Cana.

There is a reason why Bert and Vivaldi have 5 stars! It was more then just a highlight of our trip. We were initially picked up from our resort, brought to Bert's own home and welcomed into his personal cigar humidor. That is when our cigar training experience began. I knew we were in for a treat when I saw everyone's eyes light up at the start of the experience (even those that normally don't smoke cigars). Bert took us through the ins and outs of cigars, everything from construction to production to smoking. When we say smoking, it means smoking like a true connoisseur (None of that "just puff on it" stuff). Part of that includes learning how to let the cigar speak to you and maximize the enjoyment and flavour of the beautiful blends that Vivaldi constructs. Definitely even the most seasoned expert will take home some new technique or tips. Bert is an exceptional host and you can really see his passion within the quality of the cigars and the way he guides you through the experience. To sum up our experience, when we were invited into his lounge and started smoking, it was like a reunion of good friends who haven't seen eachother in a long time. Just great cigars, coffee and conversation. What else could one need! If you are in the Punta Cana area, I wouldn't hesitate to reach out. It'll truly open your eyes to the cigar world. I would say just come in with an open mindset and good vibes and Bert will take care of the rest. We just finished our visit at Vivaldi, and I have to say, it was the highlight of our trip to the DR. As a group, we thought we knew how to smoke a cigar. What we received was an enlightenment. I was on holiday in Punta Cana with my friend and I was looking at good cigar shops. Bert's shop pop up on top of the list and after reading some of the reviews, I decided this was a must visit place. Bert responded promptly to our enquiry, and even came to pick us up from the hotel. What an amazing experience! Bert is very knowledgable (expert level), and very friendly and welcoming, we've learned so much about cigars from him. I can see why all his reviews are so great. Pft, do not know where to start... At the beginning I was a bit sceptical, given that Bert and Vivaldi cigars have a perfect score on Google and on Tripadvisor, I was somehow expecting some sort of scam, but boy was I wrong. I was cigar enthusiast before, but after visiting Vivaldi I became much more than that. Bert's knowledge is immense and he is happy to share it with you, and you can feel his passion towards cigars and I find it impossible not to pick up some of that passion from him. We spent almost 3 hours talking and smoking some of the best cigars that I have ever had, mind that I smoked plenty of Cohibas, H. Upmanns, Davidoffs etc. Overall amazing experience and if you are in Punta Cana I would definitely recommend to visit Vivaldi and Bert, you will not regret it.

In a word, OUTSTANDING! My friend and I spent a couple hours with Bert a few days ago. I read so many 5⭐️ reviews that I just had to experience it for myself while on vacation in Punta Cana. I am so glad I did! We arrived in the DR on Saturday and emailed Bert on Sunday, hoping he’d have the time for us (realizing we should have contacted him sooner). He responded quickly and happily offered to pick us up and drop us off at our hotel (Barcelo Bavaro Palace) the next day. He arrived right on time and the ride to his place was a brief, ten minute drive. He graciously welcomed us into his home and took us immediately upstairs to his private, room-sized humidor. I’ve been smoking cigars for years and thought I knew a lot but I learned so much during my time with Bert. He’s a wealth of knowledge and a true connoisseur of the art. He showed us the proper way to cut, light and relight a cigar if it goes out. We enjoyed incredible conversation, magnificent cigars, phenomenal coffee and his exceptional Mamajuana! We left with a couple of boxes but already wish we’d purchased more. Come here first if you are going to spend a single dollar on cigars in the Dominican Republic! Call Bert for free pickup and drop off from your resort. I was originally a little suspect when Bert mentioned that his shop was at his house, but this is absolutely nothing to be worried about. The shop is completely legit and is bigger then many humidors you might go to in a store front. Make sure that you have dedicated some time for the entire masterclass that Bert puts on cause he really does know his stuff. I made the mistake of being time restricted and felt like I missed out on so much. He covers off topics cigars culture, development, how to properly smoke, etc. Fortunately he was kind enough to do a video conference for me and my friends at a later date to share his knowledge. The quality of his cigars are top notice and compatible if not better to high end designer brands you wold be accustom to, but for a fraction of the price. Don't waste your money on the resort, the beach or the other tourist traps spending your hard earned money on over priced / fake cigars. Give Bert at Vivaldi a call. You won't be disappointed.

The experience with Bert was wonderful. I had been smoking for a while, but Bert's lessons helped me improve my technique, appreciation, and understanding of the craft. My fiancé (a non smoker mind you) partook as well, and had a great time learning. Bert is knowledgeable and kind, a great conversation, and makes killer coffee.

I have been to Punta Cana before and had a blast at the all inclusive resorts each time. When I came back from my last trip I was asked what was the highlight of the trip....well Bert and Vivaldi / Secretariat cigars was it! Bert will talk your ears off. I like talkative people, so I enjoyed his company. He talks a lot about his cigars. How they're made, how he tries for perfection. I thought "wow, what a salesman!" We wanted to do a unique experience well we were down there in Punta Cana for my wedding and bert went above and beyond.
