My wife and came here to venture out in town while staying at the resort across the street. We seen mostly positive reviews and were craving seafood, so we decided to go in. Very small restaurant, but we gave it a chance. We ordered garlic shrimp, paella and calamari. I must say that the food was good, however we were taken advantage of. We were charged $10 for a bottle of water and $5 for sprite. Additionally the serving size of each dish was very small. They attempted to make us leave a review on trip advisor after several requests for the check before finally bringing in the check. For the above mentioned items we were charged $93 which included an 18% tax. I found all of this ridiculous. Once again the food was good, but service was okay and portion sizes were tiny. I would not recommend anyone coming here due to their price gouging and mark ups. Avoid leaving the resort the locals near the resort definitely try to take advantage of you.

I must say that it was the highlight of my vacation in Punta Cana, spent a lot of money to stay at the Riu and the food and service I received at Herman's 311 was 100 time better. Anabel and the crew went over and beyond to ensure that me and my friends had an A class experience. Well definitely go back there!

Love this place! It’s a cute, quaint, restaurant that my husband and I ran into. We were on vacation in Punta Cana and decided explore outside the confines of the resort. We ran into this place, which we’re glad we did. We had an Italian red blend wine and a 3 pound red snapper! It was huge. Very well seasoned and tasted fresh off the sea. It was delish! 🤤 The service was also great by Rafael and Jairon, which treated us so well. I will be back with the family to have a family dinner in their super cute wine room and my husband says he plans to come back to try their 9 pound lobster. Wow Definitely worth the trip!

Ate here while visiting the DR. The seating area outside was very clean and pleasant and the service was phenomenal. The ceviche was very fresh best I've ever had. We also ordered a 4lb lobster for our group of 3. It was delicious and very lump. They also treated us to some appetizers while we waited, bread with a amazing garlic butter spread and I think red wine marinated pears with blue cheese. Not something usually up my alley but it was surprisingly delicious, great combo of flavors and an unexpected treat. Food takes a bit because it's all fresh and made to order. Worth the wait! Would definitely go back next time in there.

The food was good at best yet overpriced. The fish, mussels, and chicken were dry, The garlic butter that came with the complimentary bread was really good. The fish ceviche was tangy and flavorful. The tostones were good. The mango mojito was tasty and photogenic. Service was great, wait staff atentive. The mocktails (Pina colada and margarita) were fantastic. I would say the bar was what makes this place. Ah, the desserts were good.

Very good restaurant. You can tell all their ingredients are fresh. A bit of upsell vibes but if you can hold your own, it's a great seafood restaurant choice. We got the ceviche picante, coconut mojitos, garlic 2 pound lobster, seafood cream pasta and Creole shrimp. Everything was delicious. Nice change from our resort food

Fantastic food, chicken soup was incredible and a meal in itself. Pasta Carbonara was also top notch. Will visit many times before I leave. Staff was attentive and quick to respond (which is not always the case in DP). Highly recommend. UPDATE: The food was so good I went back, second day in row. Again I had the soup but only soup as I want to enjoy the entire large bowl. Sandy, you were awesome both nights. Give this man a raise. I will be back again shortly.

This restaurant is the Gem under the gem hard to find but once you do you wont regret it. trust me when I say it's the best lobster I had in a lonnnnng time. The staff is awesome and accommodating. They are attentive and everything is like you're part of the family. Again the food is amazing. Don't miss out on this gem! The creole lobster is authentic I love this place definitely recommend this 👌

Love this place! It’s a chic, modern restaurant with indoor or outdoor dining. My husband and I were in Punta Cana and stayed at a local resort. We wanted to explore the area outside the confines of the resort. We ended up here. I’m glad we did because the food was wonderful!! We had an Italian wine, with a 3 lb red snapper. It was amazing! The service was good but the sea food was not that great. The octopus was a bit rubbery. Not sure if I would go back based on the taste

The food was good at this restaurant— that’s the only positive. I want foreigners to know they will completely take advantage of the fact you are a foreigner which is a shame. They are EXTREMELY pushy here. Our server was Kayla, and she was a nice young lady. However, after saying we would think about getting a hookah, she decided to bring it out anyway. She then proceeded to then try to push us to buy stuff at their store across the street, and didn’t want to bring our $190.00 bill (for two people!) until we purchased stuff from across the street. They are price gauging people who come to support local businesses. We hardly pay $190 in major American cities. 10$ water? In the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC? Save your money and go to other businesses across the island.

Highly recommend dining at Herman 311! This was the best meal I had in the DR. We started with the Breaded Squid & Lamb appies and both were super fresh and delicious. I enjoyed the Carbonara pasta dish and it was creamy and decadent. Ambiance, service and food were all top-notch! Donald took great care of us 😊

Food and service was phenomenal. It was a gorgeous setting for Valentines 💝 Our server was excellent and the staff were very attentive and helpful.

The food was absolutely amazing. I had the Lobster creole and it was very flavorful. The service was great! The waiter was very knowledgeable and took very good care of my group of friends.

Food was delicious and FRESH! I had the seafood paella and the grilled octopus. Donald was also very kind and made sure I was taken care of. Definitely recommend if you are tired of the food at the resort!

The food is always great. I walked past this restaurant many times and never ate there but since then I have been here multiple times and I think the food is amazing and delicious. The last time I went I had the red snapper and mashed potatoes and afterwards they just started grilling steak, chicken, pork in front of the restaurant and gave us some delicious food for free. I was so full I could barely stand up and walk home...

Absolutely DELICIOUS!! So glad we ventured out from Grand Bavaro to this cute little place. Elisa is THE BEST!! Her happiness is contagious and the margaritas were good and strong.

This place is a hidden gem. First experience was amazing, between 4 ppl we spent about $600 which was not bad at all for ordering 2 garlic lobsters sides, lobster pasta, 8 drinks and garlic mussels! Ruth was our server and she was nothing but accommodating and professional. I’m a server on the Las Vegas strip and have to say, her service was emasculate and and the food was beyond our standards. We ended up making plans to come back before the end of our trip and she accommodated us with our own personal food request which was a 13 lbs lobster and a tomahawk steak that had to be preordered. We wanted to go big before leaving this trip and spent about $800 which the 13lbs lobster, tomahawk steak, sides, a bottle of red wine and other drinks. It was one of the most amazing and personable experiences we’ve ever had. Definitely coming back to enjoy their amazing food but most of all Ruth and her amazing friendly service.

The food is damn expensive. They give you bread and dip on the house. I paid 600 DOP for a basic risotto. The ambience was good. Staff was nice especially the lady server. The staff could understand English - which was a bonus for communication. They helped me Make chives butter as I don’t eat eggs.

This is a high end restaurant. Won’t be cheap but service and food reflect that. There is a regular tax and another government tax. Best passion fruit mojito I have ever had! The empanadillas appetizer and mango ceviche were delicious!!! Although being Mexican it was missing tostadas or saladitas. They will give you more bread slices if you ask. Roodensky and Richy were great! Everything was freshly made🙌🏼 They even went above and beyond by bringing us two free appetizers and making a drink that was not on the menu. Compared to the area, this place was very luxurious and we felt very safe here. They even have a wine room for private parties. They have a seafood menu and also a steak menu! The service is very good, make sure you speak either English, Spanish, or French. (Creole works too, lots of Haitians work here as servers)

This place is amazing! The service and the food is outstanding! Please make sure you order the Mango Margarita. One of the best I've ever had. I will definitely come back here everytime I visit Punta Cana. Highly recommend! Rodensky was such an amazing server! Everything he recommended was amazing. I give this place a 100 out of 10.

The Food was great! The hosts was excellent!! Roodensky and Richy was great and helpful. We ordered cocktail, drinks, lobsters and dessert. It’s definitely better any resort food. This was our last night and Punta Cana and the best food out the 7 days we spent. It’s pricey but it’s worth it. We’re from NY, so it’s definitely worth every penny. The hosts are great at what they do. Ricky is the bartender and make great drinks! Roodensky is mostly the waiter and server. They speak numerous languages, English, Spanish, Creole and French. It’s a quiet location. I recommend at least 1 time during the visit.

Came across this randomly with low expectations, and this ended up being one of the best places we ate during our trip! The vegetarian options of veggie risotto and pasta was very good, and the brownie is something I’m still thinking about.

Was on vacation on my birthday the last day here and found this place food was excellent staff was great the best in town I told them it was my birthday and they surprise me with a cake I would recommend to anyone to go here best food in this area

Great restaurant in Puna Cana. We stopped by when we were on vacation the food was delicious. I loved the Mango Mojitos and seafood pasta.

Omg where do I begin! I celebrated my birthday here (2021) and they made it so special. They pulled out all the stops!! I couldn’t think of a better place to celebrate. The staff is just as amazing as the food! Whoever made the cake put their foot in it. My new go to spot in Punta Cana. We had a bottle of champagne, calamari, grilled chicken cesar salad, garlic shrimp and pesto pasta. Everything was top notch and I’ll definitely return.

Best food I've had in Punta Cana, period!!!

This place was absolutely amazing. The food here was cooked to perfection and the drinks were great as well. The staff was very inviting and friendly. The birthday girl in our party was given an entire cake which we were so grateful for. We would literally come back to the DR just for this restaurant alone. We had the worst day of our life from a trash excursion(don’t go to Sanoa Island), just for this place to be our saving grace. Overall, I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for superb seafood, this is the place to come!

We came here for the lobster and its good price. We were served very well. We were offered free appetizers and a free cup of coffee at the end. The food was delicious. So were the drinks. As our main dish, we took the lobster with the cheese.

GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!! Words cannot describe how incredible this experience was for me and my friends. We visited Punta Cana for my birthday and I knew I wanted to visit Herman 311 as the “grand finale” after reading all of the reviews on Trip Advisor and Google. I mean, “best lobster in Punta Cana,” how can you pass that up? I contacted the restaurant through WhatsApp the day before to make a reservation and it was seamless! Jhonny locked me in and said they’ll be expecting us. On the day of (my birthday), I sent a text to Jhonny in the morning to confirm our reservation and ask what the best mode of transportation was to get there. He said they’ll send a taxi and quoted me a price for both ways (SUPER REASONABLE). When I say Herman 311 was on it even before we sat down to eat, I mean ON IT. Excellent service!!! Jhonny deserves 10 stars. He arrived personally, on time, and took us to the restaurant about 15 minutes away. And then… The food. Superb. It was hands down the BEST food we had all week (and our resort had great food)!!!. From the garlic bread (with house made dressing on the side) to the calamari to the garlic lobster with roasted vegetables, everything was FANTASTIC. My friends and I are still raving about the lobster 3 days later. We have flashbacks every now and then lol. Luis was our server and he was phenomenal. Very attentive and patient with us (even as the drinks started flowing). The drinks were great as well. Everyone at the restaurant was A1. Not only all of the above, but when I arrived, they had our table set up with birthday decor (see pics below). I had mentioned I was celebrating my birthday in passing when I made the reservation but I was not expecting any of this sort of detail. Additionally, after we all had eaten, they brought out the MOST DELICIOUS birthday cake. We were so stuffed from our entrees that we weren’t able to make a dent in it but we ate what we could haha. In all seriousness, I was truly touched. Jhonny, Luis, and everyone else went above and beyond to make my day special. The food, the service, literally everything was amazing from start to finish!!!! PS. We went to Drink Point for a little turn up after dinner (about a 5 minute walk) but Jhonny made sure we arrived there and ALSO got back to the resort safely. These are good people. Go support them and enjoy delicious food at the same time! I would give them over 5 stars if I could.

Food quality is okay. Staff is quite friendly and helpsome. Too pricey though for the quality of the food and the Interieur, that’s not really cozy.

We went for Christmas Eve. Delicious food and a good wine 🍷 selection. We tried different lobster 🦞 dishes. Our waiter was a fine and attentive gentleman.
