Mike is a great teacher, my son has progressed really quickly to red cap., he's fair but firm and a fun coach.

Haven't been for nearlyv10 yrs have been else where but it is improved with new changing areas to what it was before and cleaner

My Grandson goes for swimming lessons here every week. We took him for today's session and was appalled at the state of the changing rooms!!!! There is not enough time for me to list everything but the one thing I could not believe was when my Grandson said to me in the changing room "mind the wall Granddad, that is actual human poo on it"!!!!!! I could not believe what I was looking at! What kind of animal would do that!!!!!!!

Friendly and very helpful staff. The gym is well equipped. I use the swimming pool. Kept at good temperature. Good facilities although the changing room can be a bit chilly in the winter. Also schools use the pool during the day and the changing rooms are sometimes a bit unclean.

Brilliant swimming club for all ages! Coaches are fantastic.

The customer service received from the staff at the Black Lion Swimming Club today was absolutely appalling. We arrived with three young children at 11:20 for a family swim and paid £21 for the session. At 12:00 we were told to get out of the pool due to the lane swim session starting. Why allow two adults and three young children in at 11:20 knowing full well we would get half an hour in the pool at best. The staff really could not care that we hadn't been made aware that the session was due to end and sniggered at the fact that we had paid £21 for 30 minutes in the pool. When questioned, we were told "you should look at the timetable" and didn't feel it was their job to tell us when paying. The staff at the Black Lion Swimming Club do not care about customer experience, lack training and have terrible attitudes. We will not be returning!

I wasn’t happy …. Went swimming there Wednesday like I usually do with my daughter for the family session 18:00- 7:30pm. Had to wait 20 mins in queue as one till down ,wasn’t an issue at the time, finally got into the pool at 18:30pm to then get asked to leave at 19:00pm so only had half hour to swim paying full price £10.95 . Few people confused asking the long orban haired girl why this is happening she pulled rude faces like she didn’t care said time up this week…. I’m disappointed as paid full price for 30 min swim of no fault to me no sign stating this was happening and no staff telling me in the queue I was in for ages that time was shorter in pool, as had I known we was getting shorter amount of time I could of gone somewhere else to get my money worth. I went to girls at the front and explained my time was cut short wasn’t told about the times today and was there any chance that I could have half money back. She replied whilst walking off sorry I didn’t get told they was busy dealing with the customers and that even if they did tell people your only getting 30 mins in pool that she would still of taken full price money anyway and continued to walk off which I found was rude

The staff are really friendly and have managed to progress my daughter on incredibly. She is able to swim now by herself which is something that seemed a mile off. The thing to be aware of is that you have to walk out of the changing room and to the teaching pool through the main entrance so a pair of beach shoes are appropriate. Also parking can be a bit dodgy, even though they provide you with a parking permit. It can be difficult to hear impossible to park when there is a gala on. I have learnt to check timetable changes to find when galas are on as no-one tell you. Great place to learn though.
