Really good cafe large menu with lots of choice. Haven't been to this cafe before that was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food and service. It had all the choices you would expect from a modern cafe. Very reasonable prices. We would definitely go again.

Lovely cafe, staff are so welcoming and friendly. Food is on point, staff keep the cafe CLEAN!! one of the cleanest cafes in existence. Next time I am trying the curry as another customer had it and it smelt sooo good!! The atmosphere is chill even when it's really busy.

I’ve been going here for 10 years. A great breakfast with a very reasonable price which has only gone up 50p in that time. My mates come from all over for Elly’s. Lovely staff who know all of their customers. Best eggs I’ve ever had. 10/10

This place is ALL about excellent service, I have been going to this cafe since it opened in 1996. I have seen different generations of the family come and go, they are all really nice, friendly and professional people. The food here is great, lots of choice. I HIGHLY recommend that you visit, if you like a proper cafe breakfast 😋

Stayed above the cafe for a few weeks. The smell thoroughout the day lured us in for food a few times. Lively from early in the morning, popular with the trades, good food atmosphere, lovely staff and a small outdoor area to catch some sun.

If I am going to be picky the only thing I would have preferred was a stronger cup of tea (although hubby liked his) down to preference! Definitely would recommend!!

Just new in South Croydon and this café make me feel so welcome. Staff are really friendly and warm, got couple of hot chocolate on the house for my little ones with marshmallows, that make kids so happy. Food is delicious and really good portion. Visiting London with family and had breakfast here before our outings each day - absolutely loved the food and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. They get busy during the morning rush - for good reason - but tables open up quickly. I highly recommend!

Ellie's Cafe has become my new favourite spot! You can sit inside, or outside under shelter and watch the world go by! The food was delicious, but what was even better are the people. Food was decent for cafe food. Was packed and we shared a table but that was just fine. Service was excellent and didn't have to wait ages for my food despite it being busy. I would absolutely go back to eat there again if I am in the area again. Thanks guys.

Elly's Cafe, situated on Brighton Road between South Croydon and Purley, is an amazing cafe with great decor and wonderful staff members. The menu is quite big and caters for all types of people and dietary requirements. The cost is relatively cheap too, so I would definitely recommend from a quick breakfast pit stop, to a nice afternoon family meal.

This little gem, is my local café, the staff are friendly and helpful. I first heard good things from my niece's fiancé when he discovered them while staying with us! He couldn't believe we hadn't tried them, he highly recommended the cooked breakfast. We were invited to Elly's for a late breakfast by a good friend, where we experienced this for ourselves. Highly recommended

My partner introduced me to this cafe just under a year ago I’m from Essex myself and this is by far the best cafe high and wide that you will find , friendly staff with unreal food. Proper proper cafe. If you are around the area give it a try , never fails to disappoint!

It's been a number of years since I last came here and the food is as good as ever with generous portions. The decor has been updated as well which is nice. I will definitely be heading here again if I'm in the area.

It all starts with a great welcome but the staff for wmeach guest that walks in. Then comes the quick service and the best part of all the food. Portions are huge here and food is really delicious. Great value for money and a great overall experience.

All I can say is wow, i visited this establishment today and was greeted with the warmest hello by all of the staff. The service was exceptional, the food was amazing, the place was clean. This has to be the best cafe I've ever been too. The amount of food you get for the price is amazing. I've lived in South Croydon for 4 years and never knew about this place, but it will definitely be my go to for breakfast. Just to add they have a wide selection of food from breakfast to curry to roast. Keep up the good work guys.

I have previously scored some 4*s but this is unfair and a mistake because they are simply superb, work exceptionally hard, have a massive menu range and are the friendliest of folk throughout. The bus depot drivers 100yds away are prepared to walk the distance to enjoy the food. It could easily be the depot canteen!

I’ve been in many cafes in my time but this one beats them all. Food comes out quickly and the food is second to none. There’s always a personal service with every customer that comes in. Absolutely excellent in my book. Definitely worth a visit.

Popped in for a quick brunch between meetings. Fast friendly service, tasty food. We had big breakfast and set 3. Very generous portions. Very happy. We'll be back
