Great little shop for your aquatic needs, very helpful staff

Shoddy workmanship. Inflated prices. Loyal customer for a while, but things have turned for the worse.

Last year we moved into a new house and discovered we had inherited a Koi Pond which must be 20 years old. Still had an old pump attached. Andrew from Koi Water Gardens came out to assess the pond and garden. No obligation assessment. So glad i did not try to take on this job on my own. 20y of silt and sludge almost 50cm deep. Mathew and Ben made quick work of 2 decades of sludge. Drained and rehoused the fish, manually shovelled the sludge out. Hoovered what was possible. (My vegetable gardens will be thankful.). Jet washed the brick work. Got the water fountain working and installed filters, pumps and UV light filters. Expert adivce for water plants and fish. They made islands and plant shelves. They installed lights and completely resurrected the margins and weeded the garden, finally laying down wood bark and chips. Our zen water garden has brought tranquility beauty and peace at our house. I feel like an old man staring endlessly at the gold fish, tench and orfe while my kids try to catch them with nets! Looking forward to the return of frogs and newts next spring. Delighted with the hatching dragonflies for now. Thanks KWG.

5 years ago I moved into a house with a pond which look like it hasn’t been looked after in years. I visited Koi Water Gardens who were very knowledgeable and friendly. The boss Andrew then spent a hour with me giving me exceptional advice and provided me with a estimate for a filter installation. Although not the cheapest, The system fitted is at a high quality, with having little maintenance and still running smoothly after nearly 5 years. The stuff are always helpful and will answer any of your questions to the best of their ability. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Always use Koi Water Garden team helpful and efficient. Guys came this week to look at UV and electrics. All working now they talk you through all that’s been done.

Don’t be like me,Wasted hours of my time on YouTube and other shops,this is the place you want to visit,I’m new to koi keeping and he was so helpful and didn’t try selling me stuff I didn’t need that I thought I did. Me and my husband was building a new koi pond in our garden, we visited this store as was local, it was defiantly not the cheapest but had heard they was good at what they do. We explained what we was doing to a guy called Andrew, he advised all the filter equipment and best set up we needed and we purchased from him based on he's recommendations again very expensive. A year on the filtration system is not running right and never has, we have been backwards and forwards with them, and now told the filter equipments is not adequate and need a bigger filter and pumps. We should have been advised this at the beginning as we told them the spec and nothing had changed , so we have equipment we paid a fortune for which is no good due to them advising and selling us the wrong stuff. Clearly not impressed as they don’t have a clue and would strongly avoid

Service was done super well by those who came and everything well explained, however be very careful with any quotes/estimates you receive from them, they send an estimate without 20% VAT included, which is not normal at all for me, besides that none of the cleaning products are included, so do check the separate document they send and read all the text and documents line by line. They will also add 20% on top of those products used!

Really disappointed with the koi water garden. To cut a long story short. My house was left without power for a few weeks. Resulting in my fish dying my pond was overstocked. And i Planed to sort this out this spring. Anyway I called the shop and explained that all of my Koi had died as a result of no power to the house. And asked if the staff could write something up to prove the financial loss as Ive started proceedings against my landlord. Anyway, I was asked to send a video of the fish beforehand and I did. And heard nothing back and after a week or so I called back. I was told Andrew wasn’t available so to call back the next day and talk to ben so I did, and I was told he wasn’t available. I also asked the lady initially if I could come and show her my Internet banking to prove the thousands of pounds I’ve spent on fish. Over a few years and she said that writing a receipt for the money that I spent wouldn’t be something they could do. I feel that the store just don’t care. And my family has been customers since they was at the old place so going back a long time. Andrew I’m sorry but I’ll show your business the same loyalty that it’s shown me. I’m disappointed 😔.

Top place to go for all pond requirements very knowledgeable and not there to fleece you .

Not satisfied! Because there is not so much available products, especially for fishtanks. On top of it they doing some refurbishment and the 2/3 of site is destroyed.

If you have fish this is the place to go pond pumps, fish food, net's any thing you want parking for about half dozen cars

Andrew and Ben, i wished I had known about them when I decided I was going to build my pond. Got some bad advice from other people in the beginning but these fellas really know what they are doing and not shy in giving helping advice. Hence why I got them in to sort out all my issues. Great lads.

I have known Koi Water Garden for many years and throughout that time they have always given superb personal service and advice. My most recent project was for them to completely replace an existing pond with a larger deeper pond & waterfall and install a repositioned larger pumped filtration unit and garden lighting. Work was started on time, progressed quickly and, despite the weather, was completed within the projected timescale. Furthermore their pond maintainence and fish health service is second to none. I would recommend them without hesitation for any project large or small.

I have been buying my Japanese Koi and supplies from ‘Koi Water Garden’ for nearly 20 years. They provided me with much valued guidance and assistance whilst building my second pond. Their filter boxes, unique to them are particularly good and built to last. Their show quality with a wide range of varieties are without question the best you can find in the South East. If you are looking for a particular Koi, I suggest you join their mailing list and reserve your fish before it even arrives in the UK, they make regular trips to Japan.

I have recently refurbished my fish pond. Andrew and his team did really a good job, they finished it earlier than expected. Not only did they do a wonderful job, but they also left my garden so neat and tidy. Overall I am so happy with my fishpond. I am planning to add ornaments and plants etc so can’t wait to share the photos soon.
