A secular place, still not visited by many. So if one is looking for a peacefull outing with family and friends, this is the perfect place. Beautiful scenery all around. This is situated near Adra, and if one is travelling by vehicle, make sure to refill in Adra as there are no petrol pumps in the dams vicinity.

There are so many small dams and river projects in our district.Futiyari is one of the dams which is near my house.Naturally I often come here.It is an amazing place where you can sit with your group and enjoy the great beauty of nature.The place is particularly crowded in the months of December and January when people come for picnics. Boat is available here at a very much affordable price.The calm and serene atmosphere is great for improving your mood.I don't know about others but I always like to come here in the time of monsoon. Lots of people come here for picnics and its a lovely place for the people of Purulia. This dam is near Ladhurka and not more than five kms from the main road .You can also visit here in Makarsankranti;a village fair is held here.Thousands of people gather here and if you want to know about old tradition of Purulia you must visit this fair.

Boating is also gettable..Has 4..Or 5 resorts near the dam..One can stay there..And enjoy the natural serene beauty of Purulia

Evening sun set seen is awesome here.Here is no disturbance of modern society's noise. Calm nature and the music of bird make this place special. you can easily reduce your fustration by spending 5 minutes in this place.

This is a beautiful dam stretching across a large area. The environment is green and serene. A bridge is being constructed now. It will allow four wheelers to take a tour around the dam. There are boating services available. Sunset in the dam looked mesmerizing.

We had not planned to visit there initially but it was good that we went there from Garh Panchakot. It was a beautiful place - a big lake ..tranquil atmosphere. The road to the water reservoir was also nice and amidst greenery on both sides of the road. And we did boating in the lake too. The sunset in the lake was simply beautiful.

This is one of the Offbeat .. less crowded weekend destination in West Bengal.. Located just 280km. from Kolkata it will take approx. 4.5-5 hours by Road.. various stay option are available .. Luxury Tent, Resort and other accommodation is available there. best season is from September to march..

Liked the place...the serenity and calmness of the place hold the main attraction here... though I went on a heat scorching day, it was very tough for me to enjoy but I hope to visit again in winter or monsoon someday and spend quite a good time 😊
