It was nice journey from Bankura to hill. You will move inside the dense forest of the extended Dalma Range. These are the areas full of Elephants and other wild animals. After reaching the foothill you will start driving up the hill. Roads are good particularly this is built up after the new govt. taken charge. A very well conceptualized project to built a road like this. A great tourist attraction. It will take 30 minutes from the foothill to reach on the top of the hill. On the top you will find a huge hydel project. You can enjoy the place. The nature lovers will love the place

Very good place for weekend outings. Lot of people come their for picnics. They prepare food their and enjoy under the sunlight. The water fall, marble lake, upper dam every place is a treat to see. The only problem is crowd, the place is very much crowded in weekends specially the water fall area. Precautions: the hill has sloping sharp bend, so be cautious while driving.

Ajyodhya Pahar or Ajyodhya Hill Top is highest peak of Purulia hill region and terrain area. It's basically a pleatau and geographically part of Chotonagpur Decan Pleatau. The type of landform is rock and high slope from ground or mean sea level. Purulia Reserve Forest region is part of this zone. Natural and scenic beauty, silence at the top of the hill lap is really amazing and attraction for every tourist in this spot.

This is the hairpin bend road of the Ajodhya Pahar range. People will get this road if they visit the Ajodhya Pahar range from Purulia side. This road is one of the famous tourist attractions of the entire hill range. There are several view points located as one climbs up or decends down the road. Photography can be done from several areas located in the entire length of the road. It can be called the " Mini Patratu of West Bengal ". Best time to visit- During the winter months i.e. from November to February Distance- From Purulia it is approximately 50kms Time - It takes around 1hr to reach from Purulia.

Ayodhya Hill, also known as Ayodhya Pahar, is a popular tourist destination located in the Giridih district of Jharkhand, India. It is a scenic hill situated at an altitude of 600 meters above sea level and is known for its natural beauty and spiritual significance. The hill is believed to be the site where Lord Rama, a revered Hindu deity, along with his wife Sita and brother Lakshmana, stayed during their exile period. It is said that Lord Rama carved a footmark on a rock at the top of the hill, which is now revered by devotees and considered to be a holy site. Ayodhya Hill is also home to several temples and ashrams, including the Hanuman Temple, Ram-Sita Temple, and Sant Sri Balakdas Ashram. These places attract a large number of pilgrims throughout the year, especially during the festival of Ram Navami, which celebrates the birth of Lord Rama. The hill offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, with lush green forests and rocky terrain. Visitors can enjoy trekking, hiking, and nature walks on the hill and explore the nearby waterfalls and natural springs. The best time to visit Ayodhya Hill is during the winter months, from November to February, when the weather is pleasant and the hill is at its scenic best.

The altitude if Ajodhya pahar is 2,000 Ft. but its senic beauty is very charming. You will find different lakes, forest all over the hills, one falls. Two dams are very popular, one is Lower Dam and the other is Upper Dam. In the state there were shortage of electricity. Production of electricity during day time was excess but there was shortage in the evening and night. To solve this problem in the day water from the lower dam pumped to upper dam by consuming electricity. Again in the evening and night water allowed to go to lower dam through turbine, and electric current generated

Ajodhya pahar is one of the top attraction to visit in Purulia. It is 250.8 km from Kolkata. Ajodhya pahar is part of Chotanagpur plateau. Its important town is Bagmundi where many hotels are present. Nearest station is Purulia railway station which is 38.3 km from Ajodhya pahar. There are many sightseeings which can be visited from Ajodhya hills which are approximately 20- 25 km from it. Had a wonderful experience. One should definitely visit this place. Guaranteed you will love it ..
