Anasagar lake in the heart of Ajmer - lake created in year 1150 AD by Maharaja Ana ji (ancestor of Maharaja Prithviraj Chauhan) and lake visited by me in 2023! People may come and go but the lake will remain. Boating facility is available also. Enjoy your trip and time.

Spend evening at lake memorable.. its like nariman point mumbai feel .. chopati gave us everything what were looking for .. food .. boating.. walk in pathway .. we felt very calm atmosphere here .. boating here memorable wow 🤩 amazing thrills in speed boat its almost three minutes round but believe me it gave us amazing adventure.. must try if in smart city .. lights make this place more beautiful.. sunset sky colour made us romantic.. love ❤️ vibes

This manmade lake was built by Anaji Chauhan (grandfather of Prithviraj Chauhan) during 1135-1150 AD. On its bank is a pleasant park, the Daulat Bagh, containing a series of marble pavilions erected in 1637 by Shah Jahan. One can witness the beautiful sunset while boating on Ana Sagar lake. Sprawling across 13 km, the pond captures the picturesque beauty of Ajmer. Interestingly, it dries up in the months of summer, but acts as a source of livelihood for all the local people of this city. There are several attractions around the Ana Sagar lake which add to its charm.

There is a Circuit house on a hill near the lake that used to be Lodha’s Residency. This is one of the main tourist attraction there. There is an island in the center of the lake which is accessible by boat. Boats could be hired from the east side of the Daulat Bagh.
