The temple is situated on a hill of rocks which is so beautiful. You can go here even if you dont want to visit the temple. You should defenitly go there if you are within 15-20 km from the place

Pandavanpara gives us a mystic natural scenery of topographical structures of art and architecture. Behind the temple we can see three rocks having the shape of lotus at the three different stages, one the bud, second the shape of half bloom and the third the full bloom lotus. There are also different rocks named as thavala para having the shape of a frog and Maddalappara giving the reminiscence of musical note. There are many rocks which are believed to be related with Bhima the second brother among the Pandavas. One is that which he reclined and is carved in the form of his giant body and another one is in the shape of the chair. The visitors are amazed to see the giant footprints got imprinted on a big rock . Another one is in the shape of "Vettila Chellam" the box for keeping betel leaves and arecnut. If we climb upon the higher rocks we can have a panorama of the Chengannur town and surrounding areas.

The one and only hill in Alappuzha district. There's a temple on it. People believe that the 'Pandavas' were here. There is a footprint of Bhimsena here. Atleast visit one time.
