Everything is suuuper expensive but you can usually find what you need. Best place for fine arts on this side of oly, but I’d recommend checking Olyphant downtown first. Always remember to check the Michaels website while you’re in line to see if they’re doing the basic 20% coupon. Sales days here are great, there was a couple months in 2020 where Strathmore books were BOGO free

I accidentally walked in yesterday thinking it was Marshall's (which is next to Michael's in Lacey) and ended up browsing. I've never considered shopping here as I don't do crafts. They have so much to look at you could spend a lot of time exploring. The store is clean and bright. They may be a bit pricey but everything seems to be of high quality. Discovered some very nice 70% off items. Spent $20.00 and walked out with some really great home decor items. They weren't that busy so I checked everything out in a minute. I'm sure I'll be stopping in now and then to check on more sale items or just to kill some time.

Excellent crafts selection. Great location. There holiday selections are always some of the most extensive around. Good arts supplies selection as well. Very inexpensive.

I had a great experience having some textiles mounted and framed recently. The staff were knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. With so many choices to make the staff were patient and helped us through the selection process of what would look best on our textile works. I would highly recommend coming here for your next framing project.

Good prices, great selection. Could spend hours in there, easily. New decorations for the house and a lot have come the Lacey Michael's store. Customer Service is always efficient and fast. Will definitely be back in a few weeks to add to the growing collection of decor. Thank you Michael's for being a crafters paradise! :)

There was confusion regarding the price of an item. Online was cheaper than in store. The clerk who helped me, Halleighgage went the extra mile to spoke with her manager to ensure I received the online price. Great customer service!

I have had horrific returns experiences in this shopping plaza before and once again, Lacey doesn't disappoint. I am mixed hispanic and have felt profiled each time I make a return without my wife present in this plaza. Michael's Return Policy on their very own website clearly states I am able to get a cash return with a debit card purchase with proof of receipt. I had both the receipt and card present, but I didn't want to wait for the transaction to post into our joint bank account. I was denied a cash return even though the manager, Paul, clearly stated he could override it. And then he backpedaled and stated he didn't have the option. Having management experience myself, I didn't buy what he said one bit. I understand quite well that petty thieves and criminals have been attempting to make cash returns with receipts found at the establishments they target. I won't ever return to a Michael's without my wife present. Let alone the Khols and Petsmart in this very same plaza. I love being made to feel like a criminal when I'm just trying to get $26 back.

The manager is horrible. I asked if I could exchange something without receipt & was told I would gets the lowest price. Which is fine, totally my fault for not keeping the receipt. That's not the point though. The whole time he was just angry/miserable, like sir what did I do to you. It not that big of a deal. The money was already spent, give me the return or not it doesn't make any difference to me. I kind of feel bad for the cashier that was cashing me out. He was also horrible towards her!

Employees are friendly. I picked up 1 thing, but they didn't have what I needed, so I had to go to Hobby Lobby to get it. I used to love Michael's, but their inventory is so diminished now that they don't always have what I'm after. Also, the bathroom needs professionally cleaned.

This is the only Michael's I have ever visited (and I have been to many in several states!) Where the staff knows where products are! Was talking about paint pens and a pleasant young man (who had not even clocked in yet) guided us to the exact location. Store was clean, organized and well lit. Good job! Others should take note!

Michael's is my favorite for art supplies and increasingly my best place for yarn. Their frequent specials provide discounts on essentials like watercolor paper and paint. Also, their yarn selection on my last visit topped up my stash while saving me a bunch of money. With the in-store discount and my member discount, I ended up saving more than I paid for the acrylic yarn I needed. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only drawback is that the fabric selection is limited. Sadly, there is no fabric store with a broad selection of fibers and treatments anywhere south of Seattle.

I would have given it five stars, but I ended up using self checkout when I was done shopping. I didn't realize what a great selection that Michael's had until I was there. Nice assortment, and pretty good prices. I would take the star rating down to three for parking cuz I had to park quite a way from the store and so I had to walk a little further... but I needed the exercise, and I'm trying to start my day today off on a positive note.

Michaels what can I say I'm up here in Olympia Washington visiting my mother for Mother's Day and I took her to Michael's to buy a puzzle I'll give Michael some five star I'm from California have 11 grandchildren and Michael's is my go-to place for not only birthday gifts but for crafts and activities for the kids for school supplies for art supplies for craft supplies Michaels is one of the best supply stores there is there are other ones out there but I like Michaels I do beadwork as relaxation and they've always had a nice selection in everything I've Ever Needed so if you forever in the need of craft supplies or art supplies or school supplies or even just gifts for the kids young and old go to Michaels. That's all I have to say stay safe and have a good day thank you.

Quite a thorough selection of craft and art materials. Even quilting supplies. The store is well-staffed with knowledge persons. There is a framing department with a selection of ready-made frames and a custom framing dept.

This store is one of my favorite craft stores. The employees here are very helpful and nice. I definitely will keep coming back.

Another craft store that sucks me in and fuels my cravings. Oh look woodburning, hey let's try our hand at epoxy, let's make shirts, I know let's make stickers, let's make clocks, and learn how to paint!! Like a pusher man, they know what we want and need..... lol

Since day one of going to arts and crafts stores I have never been helped by friendlier staff than what Michael's has. I've never had a bad experience and if I could buy the whole store then I would! One thing that is very important to a customer even though it's not voiced a lot is the fact that employees remember the names of the customers. That's how you know that they care.

I love this store. It's basically a large square room with paths that lead you to ideas you did not even know existed much less things you needed to start. This store is particularly special. There are 2 workers I overheard all over the store. Talking with customers about a shared craft interest, adults talking about their parents and getting to bend a strangers ear. Offering to get things that were to high to reach. Finally they found me. I needed the restroom. This was probably, NO..... This was definitely the first time I went into a room that had glitter on the floor, and was not surprised. That's a feat by itself. Can't wait to go back.

I love Michaels. Granted the prices aren't always the best, you can often find things cheaper on Amazon. But it's so much more fun to just take your daughter to the craft store and come up with fun stuff to do. I always keep an eye out for the items on sale or clearance, which they have a lot of this time of year. Over all I think we ended up getting 3--4 different projects for about 50 bucks. Not bad and like I said, worth it for time with the kiddo.

Military vet here. If you want to put your awards or certificates (the 8x10 type or the 8.5x 11), do not buy the "basics" brand cheap frames, of the same dimensions. They are great if you are matting smaller items, but are about 3mm shy of your award sizes. Unless you want to "pinch" them in and will likely crease your awards. Michaels has great selections and many options, but shy away from those basic brands.

Love the store. Clean location with small carts that are just the right size for not buying everything.

There is NEVER anyone to assist when you need help finding something. I have found this to be true nationwide. It must be a cost-cutting measure.

I enjoy the sales they have but they never seem to have the color of yarn I'm looking for. Joann has a better selection.

It's Michael's. I definitely want to spotlight selection and staff, though. Their selection was amazing. Especially after going to Hobby Lobby and Joann's, first? Michael's had EVERYTHING we needed. We felt like we were settling at the other two places. Staff was amazing, too. Very helpful, very fast at checking out!
