My best friend and I decided to go for New Year's Eve. He had been many years before. We had the best seat in the house. Our server was excellent, the restaurant is beautiful but the food wasn't as good as expected for the price. Our total at the end was $450 including extra on the tip for our server. The steaks were the best. Mac and cheese not worth the price and scallops tasted like charcoal. With that being said all staff were professional and polite except for a bartender. We decided to finish our evening off with a coffee at the bar. The bar was full so rather than accommodate us the bartender told us that we were in the way of his servers so we left and had our coffee in another establishment. I've tried them once and probably won't go again. That's why I only gave 3 stars.

Fancy restaurant, romantic and cozy vibe, food presentation and flavor are great, service is spectacular. I give it 4 stars because 1-A bit too pricey, charging 20% service cost that goes to the restaurant only, I found that too much plus 15%+ tip , so basically spending 100 bucks “not on food” i found it ridiculous, I go fine dining and chef restaurant in great fancy places now and then, never spent that much (forcibly) on service. They made it seem mandatory. 2- You can’t hear the piano music unless you sit in the front tables. All i was hearing kitchen’s noise as it was behind my table, I think they need to do something for the isolation.

Beautiful newer steak house location that seems to be a Seattle favorite from what the staff told us. They opened February 2020 with this new location. They have a loyalty program where you can earn rewards for dining in. So if you're local that's great. Cheese garlic bread brought to the table to start. This was a 3 star for me, so if you aren't as into carbs, I'd say skip this and leave room for other things. It was quite a dark restaurant. Server had a flashlight to help us see. Steak tartare 4 stars Good decent version. We chose the tomahawk special mostly because it seemed like something fun to go and choose your own steak. You get to meet the chef and he speaks with you about their process which is a nice touch. It was cooked very nicely. I was disappointed in the crispy brussel sprouts. We didn't touch most of them. The asparagus and the French fries were very good. Service was very hospitable.

Quite the fancy place. Staff was great and plentiful. Piano Man played all night. Food was amazing and they're really proud of it. Pretty expensive for what you get as everything is an add on. We'd definitely go back.

It’s the biggest name for a steakhouse in Seattle. No doubt. Their waiters are awesome. I went yesterday and Oka served me and my friend. He’s been there for sixteen years. The food was great, but not mind blowing. I’m stuck because I’d love to give five stars for the service and experience, but the food just didn’t match and ultimately a restaurant should but judged on its food.

I celebrated my anniversary at this restaurant, the food was delicious! This place has a great happy hour menu, and the drinks are very good! The music was lovely, and there was even someone playing the piano. The atmosphere was great, and they scattered rose petals on the table, making it even more romantic. At the end of our meal, our waitresses surprised us with a complementary dessert and some delicious fruit. The service was great and I really recommend this place for anniversaries!

We started with delicious cocktails, a Pork Belly Smoked Old Fashioned (the campfire nose works exceptionally well with the slightly extra sweetened OF), and The Last Word (if you're familiar with maraschino liqueur, this cocktail will taste exactly how you'd expect--yum!). The "Insane Truffle Soup" was creamy and unctuous, and the kimchi mignonette added a lovely kick to the fresh oysters. Our chateaubriand was beautifully crusted and tender inside (rare side of medium rare), and the cliff sauce was super decadent. Finished with a not necessarily noteworthy key lime pie (aside from looking quite sharp), but still exactly what I wanted. The WhistlePig Double Malt 18 Year Rye was a perfect final note. Service was excellent, with just the right amount of attentiveness. Will definitely return, hopefully sooner than later!

We went here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. A wonderful atmosphere, perfect for a romantic dinner. The staff are all super friendly and helpful, with excellent knowledge on wine pairings. The food was probably some of the best food I have ever eaten. The steaks were cooked to perfection and were perfectly paired with an excellent local wine. Every little detail helped to enhance the experience, including rose petals on the table and a card wishing us a happy anniversary from the El Gaucho team. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend this restaurant as a wonderful place to get away from the kids for a 5* romantic meal.

This place is famous for their steaks. The atmosphere was great for a date night, a meal with the family or just grabbing drinks in the bar. Exceptional service was provided by each member of the staff from the valet attendant, and the hostess, to our server and every other member of the staff who made it a special point to congratulate my wife and me for choosing their restaurant for our special night. Everything we ordered was prepared to perfection. A perfect start to a great evening.

The dining experience was amazing, and it was definitely one of the best restaurants you can go to in Seattle. From start to the beginning! Thank you, Sara and Jeffery, for the experience of a lifetime!

Mandy is the best waitor with a great sense of humour. He is fast & efficient too! This restaurant specializes in steaks however we ordered the roasted chicken & wildcaught King salmon. It was excellent. This is a very good restaurant to try out too. 😋

I visited El Gaucho Seattle last weekend with my husband and best friend to celebrate my husband's birthday. When we arrived, our table had flower petals, a birthday card for my husband, and menus that read "Happy Birthday" at the top. We ordered the tableside caesar (a must!), several shareable sides, the roasted chicken, and my husband had the steak el gaucho. The food was INCREDIBLE, the cocktails are delicious, and the service is unmatched. The little touches for my husband's birthday were very cool, but what we left talking about was our server, Sarah. She was so amazing and really made the evening for us. We travelled from Ellensburg just to dine here and had a blast.

The food was good, service was great, but the atmosphere was pretty loud though. Such an elegant, and romantic place but the bar area was just LOUD.

I have been to El Gaucho Seattle twice now and both times were perfect experiences. The space is a dramatically lit rustic space in Belltown. Service is attentive and friendly. Each time I have done a couple of appetizers, steak, and dessert. Most recently for my sister’s birthday where we had the table side steak tartare, steak El Gaucho, and bread pudding. It is not a cheap night out, but it is certainly memorable! Be sure to signup for their loyalty program as you get the occasional perk. I will definitely eat here again.

Fantastic dining experience. Our waitress was extremely polite and made sure that the 4 of us had a fantastic experience. The appetizers are delicious and well thought out. We each tried a different steak and had 2 bottles of champagne. The sides are a must, and are shareable. We will be returning customers in the future. Having paid the bill for my party I will say, be prepared to spend !

I had the pleasure of dining at El Gaucho in Seattle for a romantic anniversary celebration, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, the low-light atmosphere created an intimate ambiance that set the tone for the evening. The customer service at El Gaucho went above and beyond our expectations. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, making us feel like valued guests. They even surprised us with a table adorned with rose petals and a handwritten note signed by the staff, showing their genuine acknowledgment of our special occasion. But the highlight of the evening was the incredible taste of the steak. Cooked to perfection, it was succulent, tender, and bursting with flavor. The option to have a side show to watch how they prepared the steak was a unique touch. It added a theatrical element to the dining experience, giving us a deeper appreciation for the culinary artistry that goes into each dish. Our romantic anniversary dinner at El Gaucho was truly unforgettable. The combination of the low-light atmosphere, exceptional customer service, mouthwatering steak, and the personal touches of rose petals and a note made it a night to remember. If you're looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or simply indulge in a remarkable dining experience, El Gaucho in Seattle is a top choice.

Sara Monroe made our first couples trip back fantastic. Mediocre 20% auto service blah became the norm for your brand and kept me away for personal dinners for years. Sara was a great welcome back and a guarantee I will be back for more personal dinners and not just business. The food is still great quality and the vibe is still cool even in the new space.

Our favorite steakhouse. Amazing caesar salad also. The service is also great. They have a huge wine selection and craft specialty cocktails. I always look forward to our date night's here.

Had Chateaubriand. It reminds me of steak in Kansas city which is my best in my life time. The service was even better than food. Thanks to Mike.
